Emma did my hair and it was FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC. I am the pickiest person ever and am SO HAPPY with how my hair turned out. I had a horrible balayage [attempt] done back in December at a different salon. Emma at DeWeese took my hair from a zero to a ten. So, so happy with my experience. They were also quick to accommodate my limited availability (I was leaving for vacation the day of my appointment- made the appointment the day before). So glad I found this place. I had a clear brassy line from a botched balayage that turned into a head full of ash-blonde beauty. Highly recommend :)

If i could leave no stars I would. I come in show a picture of a dark root and a blue indigo ombre. 6 HOURS later. I end up with a lot of dark root and a super uneven greenish teal ombre... Then they tried to make me feel bad like i was wrong. Worst experience EVER

I went to this salon after learning that they were voted #2 in Indianapolis for color last year and that was a mistake! I am a hair stylist myself but I thought and my husband thought it would be nice to have someone else do my hair for a change just to get out of the house and do something for me. And I totally regret it. I went in with brown hair but it was two toned meaning my roots and down maybe 6 inches were light brown and the rest dark brown. I asked for a purple toned burgundy, I showed her a picture she even asked another stylist for her suggestion. The results ended up with my roots being bright red and the rest being dark with just a red tint. It looked horrible. A good hairstylist would have known to use two different formulas one for the roots and one for the length. I have emailed them twice with no contact received back. I will not be returning! Thanks for the waste of $110.

I just recently moved to Indianapolis. I knew it was time to bite the bullet and find a new salon to go to and hopes the first one I picked I fell in love with. This place had great reviews so I decided to check it out. Everyone was very polite. I went as a walk in and got Payton. I got my eyebrows wax and a hair cut. Payton was very polite and most of all she did a fantastic job on my eyebrows so I will be coming back!!

I regret coming here, outrageously priced for a TRIM and a slight balayage/ombre. I didn't achieve the blonde I hoped for, she didn't show me my hair afterwards from the back. I didn't even really realize how much of my hair was cut until later on that day because it was curled after the "trim". I went in to see what could be done on my next day off and they told me I'd have to pay more, after they chopped over half of my hair off, if I wanted more blonde. 0/5

Bad customer service and BAD service overall. This is the FOURTH time someone I know gets ripped off and rudely dismissed by this place. If you walk in this place just keep in mind YOU AS THE CUSTOMER WILL NEVER BE RIGHT and if you have ANY complaints or are dissatisfied with their service YOU WILL BE directed to speak to the salon's "attorney". So please think twice before walking in to this place. All of their staff members including the manager/owner should be trained on "The customer is always right" policy. They rather gain up on the customer to make them feel wrong instead of kindly apologizing and trying their best to make sure the customer walks out of their salon satisfied in some way.

Typically, I have had great service that I was satisfied with. Unfortunately, my last visit left me crying in the car with dismay. I spent months contemplating switching my hair to this baby blue with dark roots. I finally decided to take the leap and do it, so I went to the salon to get it done. I sat in the chair and showed her the picture of the look I was going for which she did not even really look at. A swift glance and nothing more. Anyways, I have pretty dark hair, so I knew the color was not going to be EXACTLY like the picture; however, the stylist never told me what to expect. She never said, "this is not going to be do-able on your hair unless you want it really dark". Come to think of it, she did not really say anything at all. She never even introduced herself to me, I still have no idea what her name is. Anyways, my hair needed to be lightened via bleach- no biggie. All was well until it came to adding the color. At which point the stylist just went back and added a color. This was unusual, because any other time the stylist (at this point) would always either show color swatches or show me the color to ensure everything was still good prior to adding it to my hair. I silently was a little nervous, but remained hopeful. When she washed the color out and blow dryed it, here is when I first wanted to cry. It was so dark it nearly looked gray. So here we are, six hours in and I am sitting here with near gray hair. I politely asked her to add more blue in. I was already beginning to feel like I could start crying at any moment, tired, hungry, cranky, I was just feeling uneasy about the entire thing now. I spent months contemplating on this and here I am six hours deep with gray hair. Anyways, she adds the blue which took another hour. It is still very dark, but I suppose anything was better than that gray. Feeling completely defeated (so I thought) I swiftly try to end this experience as I feel the emotions swelling in my eyes. I go to check out and she tells me my total is $325!!! The pit in my stomach when I heard that price. Confused, I asked why it was so much and she tells me because of the time it took. This was my third or fourth time at this salon and typically left feeling quite satisfied with the outcome and experience. Unfortunately, this time I am unsatisfied and feel like I was overcharged. I think I would be far more accepting of the price IF the outcome were closer to my desired look, but honestly the fact that I left with hair that looked nothing like what I wanted AND had to pay way more than expected just is not setting right with me. I couldn't bring myself to say anything in the salon because I knew that at any moment I was going to bust out in tears. Sure enough, the moment I was in the car, I did. I understand that sometimes color does not always turn out how we want it to. However, feel had the stylist been more interested in my intentions to begin with she would have been able to a. direct my expectations based on her experiences (with my color and the desired look) or b. maybe do a little test strip or porosity test to get a better idea of how the color would turn out, rather than wasting both of our time. At the very least she could have ran the color by me before applying it to my hair (as every other stylist did on my previous visits). Overall, I feel this experience was very bad and frankly feel I was overcharged, considering everything. It would be different if she offered, for me to comeback in attempts to fix it or discounted the price since I don't feel it was my fault for it taking longer.

The girls at Deweese Design Salon are amazing! I have been going there to get my hair cut and colored for years, and they do an excellent job!! In addition, they did hair and makeup for myself and my bridesmaids for my wedding. They traveled to my house the morning of the wedding, which was perfect. They were super prompt and brought all of their supplies with them. There were 8 of us for hair and 4 of us for make-up, and they got everyone done ahead of schedule. All of the hair and make-up looked great. I really appreciated how friendly and flexible they were. They just wanted to make sure we all got exactly what we wanted. And I got so many compliments on my hair and make-up. I couldn't have asked for a better experience!

I have been here twice and each time they messed up my hair. I showed them a photo each time and they kept saying that they could do it. Last time I went the lady kept taking my phone and going to ask other stylist for advise, that wasn't a big deal until I got home and noticed she ended up giving me a mullet. Moving back again from my hometown NYC to Indy, my hair was in serious need of servicing and maintenance. Because of previous terrible experiences in Indy with hair dressers causing a lot of hair falling and hair growth stunt, I came in to DeWeese very vulnerable and slightly demanding and very scared to have anybody touch my hair. With my hair taking almost two years to grow where I wanted it, I entered very afraid, so we started with a simple, soft yet slightly complex look for a wedding. I loved it! I danced all night long, even jumped a little and that hair stood its 'ground'. My next visit I decided to get a short hair cut, very simple, subtle yet chic! As usual I put up a slight fight because I was yet again afraid of scissors! Results ending in walking out of the door feeling like Anne Hathaway after a movie premiere! On my third visit, I decided to go dare-devil short and complete the Anne Hathaway pixie look. Brittany once again did an amazing job! I went from Selena Gomez long to Anne Hathaway pixie short, and for me to trust a hand with scissors, you know these girls are good! Thanks girls!!! Btw Brittany is awesome =)

This is one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a salon. The color wasn't right they added Brown when I told them all I wanted was blonde highlights put in. It seems like I had more highlights after having my hair done for a year ago some where else then I do now after them doing it. I was told I could return and they would fix it without me having to pay.... but I feel that if you pay $150 for highlights at a salon the first time it should be done correctly even showed her a picture of exactly how I wanted it done and everyt mehing . it literally looks like I have no highlights at all in my hair and my hair is all brown . I would not recommend this place to anyone else.

If I could I would give this place less than one star, I would.I have long curly hair about 3 inches from my butt, I researched this salon upon arrival and saw that on their website that stayed up to date in training and classes in Devucurl for curly hair which instantly was a plus in my eyes, plus I read such positive reviews on google except a couple negatives here and there, so I proceeded to make an appointment and I asked for someone trained in cutting curly hair and a light ombre., which they assured me that they placed me with the perfect person. I walked into the salon and there was people constantly in and out which put my mind at ease being in a new place. As they called my name I sat in Donna's chair and showed her pictures of what I wanted and proceeded to tell her I wanted to keep my length and just get a trim/relayer and a slight ombre with all my natural hair color and a nice fade .. made sure I showed pictures and how subtle I want it. Needless to say my hair was cut about 6 inches and then looks like I had a dip dye of bleach with no fade half way up my head, the people/ co workers in the salon couldn't even make eye contact with me because It was horrendous. After everything i asked for my bangs trimmed about an inch and she chopped off 5 inches, I then freaked out and told her to stop and to not touch my hair anymore. I said "what did you do, I have curly hair they are going to be 2 inches off my head curly." she then said "oops. I then cashed out and went to my car and cried. I WOULD NEVER SUGGEST this place and if you do go... do not get Donna, she is and may be a sweet person, but my hair is very precious to me. I had to go to another salon two weeks later and they had to cut my hair just past my shoulders because the cut they said look like it was cut with a butter knife and was so uneven (most likely due to the scissors not being sharp) and due to the dye job sucking the life out of my hair. So another $150 to get my hair fixed and 8 inches shorter my hair is better but I still have the ugliest bangs known to earth. I wish I could post a picture of the before and after for you all.I hope this helps future curly hair women. Here is a link to a photo,

Amazing job for my wavy/curly hair ...called last minute for a Deva curl but they couldn't get me in for that. They did get me in for a cut that I adore though! Like I said I scheduled last minute , got lost and arrived late :/ but they had no problem with that and were still very gracious to me! I forgot the picture of the style I had wanted at home so I just explained it to her and she was very relaxing to talk to. Had an appointment, ended up waiting 35 min anyway. Then waited for a sink and waited for a dryer. Got left under dryer while my stylist was cutting someone else's hair. Finally another stylist, probably needing the dryer, finished me up. Didn't get what I asked for and felt like they were rushing me out the door. Definitely did not feel pampered. For that price I will not go back. That was more like a Great Clips kind of rush thru.

They always offer me a beverage when I arrive (my husband too, when he has tagged along). When my regular stylist has moved on/away, Rita has chosen my next stylist without ever disappointing me. My son has gotten his hair cut at DeWeese Salon twice now. Diana was our stylist and she did a great job. I ended up sending my husband to her as well and he liked her too. It's a very nice place and the prices are reasonable. Diana is very good with children. I highly recommend this salon.

Had a bad experience with the hair color. 1st time had all over hair color, it didnt cover up all grey, had to go in for 2nd color, which also meant more tipping to 2 other ppl and I wasn't planning on this. Later at home I noticed hair was darker in some areas, grey still wasn't covered but go back a 3rd time? No way because I noticed my hair was getting super thirsty more than average but good thing I noticed some if the darker areas began to even out or u was used to them Two weeks or so later I went for high lights, while it seems to be a good color and u get compliments, my hair is now so dry it falls out all the time. Super straw like feel to it si I've had to work really hard to get it back to normal. While I'm seeing some improvement theres still more shedding than normal and I still have to baby it and yes, still some grey though only I notice it. I did mention to hair stylist prior to highlights of dry hair and shedding and still grey, she jokingly said she didnt see any balding and she watches her clients clients hair for changes and tge product she had used for the all over color came from a bad batch? But offered no compensation of any sort. 80 bucks for all over plus tip x3. After highlighting I didnt notice her putting any gloss nor did I receive nor offered a deep conditioning. Highlights were 110. So in total I spent over 200 close to 250 including the tips, close to 4 hrs total in the chair and grey still in and dry!!! So disappointed. My mom had received all over hair color, and later at home I noticed a lot of grey didnt get covered and no we didnt go back to get this corrected . My mom is 78! While I like going here and liked my hair dresser, etc. After thinking about it , my opinion of here has changed. No one especially after spending that kind of money and time should have to deal with what I am having to . I'm so frustrated I've not contacted stylist about the issue .

First time going this Salon today. I get really nervous about getting my hair cut and colored sometimes because it doesn't always go as planned. I have baby thin hair and typically go for a subtle ombre / balayage. I had a horrible experience back in winter 2018 at a different salon where my color was super harsh and choppy looking and not at all what I asked for. So when I went in today I showed Misty what I was thinking and then showed her a picture of how my hair turned out last time at the other place to show her what I didn't want. She did an amazing job with the cut and color of my hair. It was easy to schedule and they got me in fast. I also appreciated them putting some towels for cushion on the sink to make it more comfy for my neck during washing.

I’ve been here twice for a DevaCut and was amazed both times. Today, Misty cut my hair just 10 minutes after I called to see if they could squeeze me in and she was wonderful. She was very thorough in making sure she knew what I wanted and that I was happy with how it turned out. She ‘styled’ it with a new product I’ve never used before and it looks soooo good. I’ve already had way more compliments on my hair today than usual, so I had to hop on here and show some love. I would recommend anyone with curly hair to try getting a DevaCut here. Not to mention, it’s affordable!!

I wouldn’t even give them one star. I took in my extensions, 10 pieces of clip ins and they gave me back 9 pieces clip ins. When I spoke to the owner about it she told me to speak to her attorney about it and hung up the call. So there’s goes my money,, I seriously am disappointed and the way they handle problems is very very unprofessional!

Worst haircut I ever had. Might as well put a bowl on my head and cut even. I asked for short in back, longer in front, texturizing ends for a layered jagged look. Hannah thinned my hair a lot. Now you can see my scalp. I'm 81, don't need to thin my hair!

I can give a zero rating to this stupid saloon.. The ladies don't know how to treat a client.., I was rejected for a hair cut today as the lady called BETH confirmed I was having lice eggs on my hair..Holy crap I wasn't actually having and got checked by a doctor too. Is she a DR to confirm the diagnosis..LOL …Never come here at any cost..There are lot better salons than this one.. She damped my hair wet and rejected to cut my hair.. OHHHH NOOOOO….I was badly insulted..Never again I would suggest anyone this salon..!!

I loved my haircut and my stylist I thought I was paying for cut And style But only got cut and blow dried, For $40 I think I should at least got a Curling iron or flat iron or a little more product !!!! but that's OK I enjoyed my experience and my stylist... been there multiple times
