I had purchased a Groupon to use at the salon for highlights, and a cut. The first time at the salon, I was very impressed. The salon is just beautiful. All of the staff were very kind. I had Taylor as a stylist. She did an amazing job. I'm so happy with my cut, and highlights. Taylor was very knowledgeable regarding curly hair, and styling products. Her personality was calming to me.

I absolutely love my hair! I went in not knowing for sure what I wanted to get done but after showing Taylor some photos of what I think I wanted she gave me ideas and the result was beautiful! Taylor is very professional and easy to talk to, the salon is very chill and has a "homey" feeling, I will definitely come back.

I made an early morning appt to get my makeup and hair done for my wedding and they lost my appt. It is not my fault they do not train their people correctly to take down the appointment and then to tell me that they can not do anything for me is ridiculous. I made this appt three weeks ahead of time and now I have no where to go. ITS MY WEDDING DAY!!!!

I loved the service, they were really sweet and thoughtful but I did not like how my hair turned out. I have been getting my hair colored for the last 7 years and I usually get brown to reddish brown and it always turns out good. My hair color barely shows and I paid twice the amount I normally do :(

Use to be much better!! Last time I had my hair cut was horrible, my hair was uneven and not blended well !! I had to wait for 6 month to let it grow and change to a better place..

Karen is awesome. Not only does she know what she's doing, but she is also very friendly and fun to talk to. I tried several hair cut places in Plainfield and Naperville that did a lackluster job. Ever since I stumbled onto the Loft I won't be going any place else. Heck, the only criticism I have is that it's hard to get an appointment sometimes due to their smaller space. I guess I'll just plan ahead next time. ;)

Really loved the attention to detail with my hair cut. The salon has a very intimate setting and the price is very reasonable. It's not easy to find someone who can cut my curly course hair without leaving it looking choppy but Nick did an excellent job! Thanks! :)

10 STARS!! I am not related to any of the staff nor did I know them before May of 2017. My previous hair stylist of 15 years retired. So I went to another stylist at the same salon and my hair turned out horrible! So two more chances later and I was like no more! So after searching like crazy for a new salon I came across the loft. I went in for a consultation and was already impressed. The staff took care of me and are all very knowledgeable. They listen to your hair concerns instead of the typical know it all stylist who just does as they please. Kelly & Taylor are EXCELLENT!! And Karen who is the owner of the salon is AMAZING!! Karen definitely knows how to hire wonderful hair specialists as well as run a salon AND be a terrific specialist of her own! (This is all being said after multiple visits and not just one so it is a completely legitimate review!) Also the receptionist could not be any more friendly, she makes it pleasant and easy to book an appointment!

Karen is Brilliant! My 11yr old son and I get our hair styled here by Karen. My son not only gets compliments from his friends. He also gets them from their moms. I do ok on the compliments myself. Was looking for a new salon since I moved and wanted something close by. Was hoping this place would be my new home, but I was disappointed! I arrived 10 minutes early to my appointment and had to wait 25-30 minutes to start on my hair. I tried to start conversation with my hair lady, but she kind of shut me down and only wanted to focus on my hair so it was complete silence for pretty much the rest of the appointment. She was firm with the hairbrush, really going at it and catching my ears. She was kind of clumsy with her tools, dropping 3 different things on the floor during my appointment. My hair stylist, and the other two ladies all said something about my hair as they passed by saying, I had a lot of hair. They did this more throughout the appointment. ( my hair goes just past my collar bone and is naturally straight ). I did not go on my phone during the appointment, only when I was sitting alone and one of the ladies yelled at me across the room to look up. When my hair was getting washed, I was SUPER uncomfortable but tried to deal with it so I wouldn't annoy my stylist anymore than I felt like I already was. When my hair was completely wet, my stylist tugged at my hair from root to tips leaving the knots at the ends of my hair. She really pulled at my hair and I was in pain. They cut your hair when it is dry, not wet. I did like how my hair turned out and it looked really nice! When I came to pay, they charged me 2x the amount it said on their website plus I left a 20% tip ( because I did like how my hair turned out ). And now I have a bruise on the back of my head from when they washed my hair, I had my boyfriend look at it because it felt sore and he said it was black and blue. I'm in college, and I feel like a lot of their clients are 40+. I feel like I was treated like a kid and like "I didn't belong there" so they didn't waste their time making a good impression on me. I will not go back, I wish the customer service was better because I would of paid the double amount happily, but I don't feel like it is worth it to be treated that way.

These 5 star reviews must be a joke!.. The Groupon they have is a joke!.. THIS PLACE IS A JOKE.. I bought my wife a 2 hour session on groupon and they made her feel like they didnt know how to do anything.. She called and complained because kelly acted LIKE SHE DIDNT KNOW HOW TO CUT HAIR.. So Karen said she would take care of her and it looks like she sat her in a chair spun her twice and said your done!.. I will do everything in my powed to make sure this place doesnt get ANY clients who are friends or family!.. Avoid this place!..
