I had a terrible experience and walked out very unhappy with my hair. I got a stylist who bearly knew anything about styling hair so he needed help from another one of the workers. I showed a photo of my hair that I had a few days before which was simple loose waves that I wanted again for homecoming. I got frizzy looking curls. When asked how it looks I said "it looks curly and slightly frizzy" and in response was told that "I don't have to be rude" for telling my opinion. I got switched to another stylist who then just curled my hair on a wand which ended up looking like something I could've easily done at home. At the end, they saw I was very upset leaving with it and was still asked to pay full price. Never coming back here again and would absolutely not recommend this to anyone.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Make sure when you make your appointment that they note which salon your appointment is at. There are two Naperville locations. I accidentally ended up at the wrong one, about 15 mins prior to scheduled appointment and was told I needed to head to the 95th street location (that I didn’t even know existed). I asked the kind receptionist at the 75th street salon to please call the other location and let them know I was on my way. While at the stop light across from the 95th street salon, I get a call from the receptionist asking how long I’d be, I said another minute or two. Once I walked in, after having a very stressful drive from the two locations (time of day and traffic didn’t help), I was asked for my name, given water and then ignored for about 5-7 mins. Then I see a blonde walk up to the receptionist and start whispering about something and I hear the receptionist say a few times “she’s right here, she’s right behind you” and then the blonde didn’t even acknowledge me and walked away. I was then told my apt would have to be rescheduled because Ella was too busy. (I guess that was the blondes name). I understand working in the service industry now schedules work, and would have been fine rescheduling at that location, however I was spoke to so rudely and without any tact that I refuse to go back.

I was so excited to try a new place for nails! I grew up in Naperville, yet never had tried Frank Gironda. My friends gave me a gift certificate for my birthday, and I held onto it until a special time to use it! My experience at Frank Gironda fell so far behind every other place I've gotten my nails done. There wasn't a huge section of no-chip nail colors, but I was pleased with the color I found. I was surprised that after filing and buffering my nails, I didn't wash my hands before color was applied. It made for a gritty experience. It had been 4 months since I got my nails done, so my cuticles needed some work, and I didn't feel like much time was devoted to them and they weren't cleaned up. My nails were given two coats of color without a top coat. Maybe Frank Gironda doesn't do top coats, but I'm just not used to that. The color and strokes were applied unevenly, and the day I got them done, it already looked grown out. Parts of my nails didn't get painted, especially the sides. It is my understanding that no-chip polish should last approximately 2 weeks, but within 6 days, 3 nails were significantly chipped. The day that I got them done, my husband was trying to make me feel better about my nails by saying that I used a gift certificate to cover most of it, but I felt sad to report to my friends that gave me the gift that I would never go back. When I showed them my nails, they didn't hold back their opinion of them! Not good! They truly looked like I had done them myself. Now that my nails are chipped, and it's only been a week, I will confidently say I would never go back nor recommend Frank Gironda to a friend.

i give it 2 stars for the staff being friendly. but if you do really care about your hair cut I wouldn't go here. I don't feel like they really know what theyre doing tbh. I grew my hair out nice and long, and advised I just want it to be straight so she said she needed to cut 3.5 inches for it to be completely straight. I mean I don't have layers so I don't know how my hair could have been that uneven without me noticing. anyway I said sure she curled the edges. was short but whatever. when I blowdried it straight after it was COMPLETELY uneven. its actually heart breaking tbh even if this sounds ridiculous because It took me 1 year to grow out my hair and then just like that they ruined it and Its nt going to grow out nicely because its uneven again which means after t grows ill have to get it cut again im actually super sad.. my sisters wedding is this summer and they don't realize how theyre lack of skill really hurt someone. it doesn't even feel like a fresh cut whenever I cut my own hair it would be nice and thick on the edges.. they really messed up and im really upset.

Horrible experience. They canceled my appointment an hour beforehand, but I didn’t find out until driving all the way there. They did not offer me another appointment with another stylist. Very rude and unhelpful! Will not go here again!

I got a cut & blow dry from Amy, who did an amazing job and was just SO funny and friendly! She was very attentive to detail and made sure everything was exactly how I wanted. Everyone there was very friendly and professional, and relaxing with a complimentary glass of wine was nice. I'll definitely be back!

Total waste of money and time..i showed her pictures of layer hair cut and the girl named francesca nodded on everything. I had long hair upto my waist and wanted the length to my bra line..she cut it to my shoulder with no layering.it was like normal cut from bottom..when i asked her with tears in my eyes what u did..she said very rudely that it was what suit on my face and left the place...neither i am going nor recommending to any of my friends

I've never been, but based on my experience I don't ever plan to. My husband made an appointment for the first time and it was cancelled an hour beforehand. He then made a new appointment and it was again cancelled an hour beforehand. There seems to be no policy for cancellations and no desire to help fit him in with a different stylist. This is poor management.

I waited enough before I write this review. I can’t express my satisfaction enough!!!! I love this salon and I love LANA! She’s the best. I’ve been here 5 times now for color/keratin/haircuts and every time I leave the salon I’m a happier person. Lana takes her time to explain the process and is always (never changed) passionate and excited to work with my hair. Just love it. It’s the place to go!

Got a cut and high/low lights 3 times in the past year by the same stylist. I'm used to paying $2oo ++ for this service but when it reached over $300 for my short medium blond hair to go more blond I had to say bye-bye!! Though I paid my bill and tipped my stylist I did end up calling the next day to make sure this was the price they meant to charge me. The receptionist started the defense of this outrageous price. When I asked to speak to a manager I was put on hold then told the manager left for the day. The manager was suppose to call me back when available but my stylist called instead-AKWARD! My stylist happily argued her case and demanded she deserved what was charged. Oh well....You live and learn!! Staff is nice but the place is dumpy and lacks in true salon atmosphere! I was also quoted $250 for a keratin treatment-REALLY!?!?! Naperville and Chicago have too many awesome salons with less outrageous prices- I wish I had read reviews before going there!! Be warned---the hefty prices are not in relation to the run down strip mall services!!

Incredibly unimpressed. I'm not one to write reviews but to say I'm unhappy with my hair would be a vast understatement. I paid nearly $300 to have my hair cut and colored (medium length hair) and it doesn't even come close to what I asked for. When I let the stylist know I was unhappy, she maintained that in her opinion, what she had done was the best option... girlfriend, sometimes, people want what they want and your "opinion" doesn't match. Never. Again.

I booked very last minute for a massage and facial. It was very fancy. Although you pay a price, I think it was definitely worth it and a great value for the cleanliness, communication and professionalism I experienced in the spa. Mandy was both knowledgeable and talented! I would definitely refer her and return to treat myself to fancy pampering on special occasions. If you are looking to look and feel fresh book with her!

Very disappointed! I had showed the stylist ( Francesca) a few pics of a lob.. which could have totally been achieved since I walked in with hair touching my hips... she made me look like Dora! Dora the explorer minus the bangs!! When I had told her specifically how long I wanted the front and back to be. After she gave me a straight cut I asked her to give me some volume up front and she told me to put product in my hair.. when I told her I don’t set my hair daily she kept insisting I put product or else it won’t give me the volume I “desire”... then told me she can go over it with a round brush again.. I asked her to run some sheers through it so it gives me the volume I want. Her response to my surprise was, I don’t know how to. I finally asked if someone else in the salon could and she kept telling me she didn’t know how to.. I was in tears with how much I hated my cut ! she FINALLY asked if she should ask someone else (after asking her numerous times to get someone else to help). Kat then came by and helped fix it a little, but my hair is gone and I definitely didn’t get the cut I wanted! Im surprised how bad the service was for a higher end salon. I’ve had better cuts at great clips with friendlier hairstylist who would ask for help if they didn’t kmow what they were doing!

They have well trained staff and you can certainly expect quality hair cuts. For a while I tried a budget place but they claimed that my calics made it impossible for them to give me a proper haircut and I would have to live with stray hair. When I go to Angelina, she never even mentions my calics and the hair looks great for a long time. The facility is also very nice and I have received personalize care and never been asked what number on the clippers I want my hair to be cut with.

I came from out of town for the weekend but wasn't able to get to my normal hair guy before the trip. I called and got in with Francesca. I am SO HAPPY with my color and my hair!!! Wish I could fly back every few months just for my hair! She did a great job with the color and cut! I love my layers! I showed the stylist several Pinterest images of the stacked bob I wanted and I told her exactly how much I wanted my hair shortened. She cut my hair at least 2 inches shorter than I told. And it looks nothing like a bob other than it’s awful and short at the back. Just terrible. They offered to waive the payment but my hair is already ruined. And I have been going to this place for years....so disappointing.
