She provides exceptional service and envisions great style for my hair. I feel confident with her ideas and suggestions, and had provided beautiful color styles for my hair! Its always great to have someone that has a passion for what they do!

I was only in town for a little bit and heard about Lunatic Fringe. I decided to try to finally get the look I wanted! Bree sat down with me, I talked about what I wanted, then she told me what she was planning to all do. When we decided on what the game plan was she got right to work. She worked fast but didn’t hurry which I really liked! I was offered drinks and snacks. Bree worked very hard with my thick hair to get me to the color I wanted! I came in with a yellowish highlights that I hated and came out with a beautiful icy blonde had of hair that I love so much!! I’m so thankful for the experience I had with Bree and Lunatic Fringe!

I've come here since I moved to Boise over two years ago. I've never had a bad haircut here, and the stylists are always so nice. Paola is so good for balayage and color while Reina does amazing cuts. I cannot recommend this place enough with such a friendly atmosphere and well polished stylists.

When pictures were presented on what I liked she was knowledgeable if the particular style or color would look good or not and took the time to explaine why. Every time I go in I always have the best experience! Ivie and Drea are so awesome and great at what they do! Everyone and I mean everyone is always so friendly and I love how they jump in to help each other out. The relaxing wash room is my favorite (Ivie has the magic massaging touch) and such a nice added bonus that they offer good refreshments. I will never go anywhere else.

What I truly appreciate about Kinsley Drake, not only is she my beautiful and talented daughter, she has been the most conscious hair dresser that has ever worked with my hair. I've never had someone go over each detail of the process and why it's important to understand what the maintenance will be. Kinsley and I made an agreement early on, if I were ever disappointed.....I could go to someone else to get my hair done. That will never happen, she has nailed it every time. I'm happy and confident to refer her to anyone. She's amazing and very talented.

Love this place! I've been seeing Jessica for cut and color for many years, since I moved to Boise from NYC in 2007. We have a wonderful relationship, and I trust her implicitly with my hair, so much so that we often don't spend much time discussing what to do, and I just let her do whatever she feels like that day. I've referred friends and family, and will always have nothing but glowing reviews for Jess and the salon as a whole. It's got a very polished and professional vibe, but at the same time is inviting, warm, and family-like. Snacks, drinks, conversation (but only if you want it!) are the norm. Levi and Andrea embody the young professional version of "mom and pop" here, and it's all good! Definitely a 5-star place. Expect to pay accordingly for the more experienced stylists, because this definitely is not Sports Clips.

Top-notch salon with excellent customer service. I moved to Boise from Denver, where I was paying twice what I paid at Lunatic Fringe for (what I thought) was a fantastic cut and color. Then Jenny at Lunatic got her hands on my head... oh. my. goodness. I will never be the same. I explained to her what I wanted, and she said, "Do you trust me?" She completely changed my hair and it looks better than it ever has! If I ever leave Boise, I will fly back just to see her. Plus, she's super sweet.

Yesterday I went in to Lunatic Fringe hoping to get a great haircut. I've been to several salons in West Boise and Eagle without getting much satisfaction. Lunatic Fringe got great reviews so I decided to go downtown. I was met with a friendly greeting at the front desk and was introduced, almost immediately, to my stylist Alana. She took about 5-10 minutes to understand my goals and to talk me through several options. From there I went back to the "lather room" to get shampooed. (I also got a scalp massage and hot towel). After that, Alana took me back out and spent about 40 mins getting my cut just right. I thought that I would end up paying quite a bit but was really surprised when the price was exactly what I had paid at the other salons. I was really impressed! I just wish I had gone to Lunatic Fringe from the very first. If you plan to go there I would recommend Alana. She was fantastic!

Be careful if you cancel an appointment because I was charged $115 for a cancellation fee, even though I called to reschedule and then it took them 4 days to refund my money with NO apology. Additionally, I never gave my permission to keep my card on file. Bad business tactics!! Will not return.

One of the best cuts I've gotten at any place. My stylist was Ashley, she did an amazing job and was very professional as well as a comfort to be around and converse with. I'd highly recommend her! As for the salon itself, it's in a great location and easy to find and fits in well if your downtown anyway. The atmosphere and attention to detail was fantasy. This place brings me to life every time I come in here I swear! I have extremely curly hair and it's very hard to manage. Alana is the only person on the planet I trust with my hair and every time it looks and feels absolutely amazing. She will envision something in her mind and create an exact representation. Her skill and talent is next level! My hair has never looked so good or grown this fast. Aside from how great my hair, every stylist in here is so nice. They will go out of the way for you and take care of you while you are in here even if you are not their specific client. I'm new to town and needed to find a good place to cut my hair. I have to say i'm very pleased with the stylist that I worked with. They have a great relaxation hair wash station in the back, and they offer snacks mid haircut! it's sometimes hard to get through to the front desk when I call so i'll be making my appointments in person from now. There's a good reward system too that let's you collect points for various services that you can redeem for dollars off future services.

This salon is amazing. Seriously. From the moment I walked in the door, I was treated like a princess. The reception staff is kind and helpful. The salon itself is beautiful-- my favorite part is the shampoo room. It's got low lighting, relaxing music, and THE most comfortable chairs and sinks. Bottled water and other refreshments were offered throughout my appointment, and at one point, a tray with an array of snacks was brought out. I cannot say enough good things about my stylist, Alana. She was attentive throughout the entire appointment. Every step of the process was explained beforehand and she went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable. My hair turned out beautifully! I was so pleased with the results. She filled me in on each product she was using and what tips/tricks I can do at home to keep my color lasting longer and keep my hair healthy. The products used at the salon are top notch-- and smell heavenly as well! I would highly recommend Lunatic Fringe.

Lunatic Fringe came highly recommended. I didn't mind going to a more expensive salon as I needed a good haircut for an important interview. Unfortunately I just had the worse haircut of my life. Lexi butchered my hair. I have very thin hair. The last thing that you would do is cut it down to about a cm in length. When I walked in the front door returning home my wife actually pointed and laughed. This will take months to regrow. I called and spoke with Levi, who I must say was very apologetic, patient and took the time to listen to my concerns which was nice. He gave me a full refund. I would not suggest having Lexi cut your hair if you are a male.

Megan is an amazing stylist and colorist. Fair warning: It is very, very pricey, but it's easily one of the most upscale salons in Boise. If you don't mind dropping a couple hundred dollars for your hair (literally, hundreds) this salon is great. Snacks, hot towels, and super friendly staff. Bougie to the T.

We moved to the area two years ago and I hadn't found a new colorist/stylist yet. I tried out Bree at Lunatic Fringe, AMAZING! I am very picky about my hair and I have a tall order for a stylist. I have seen her three times now and the girl does not disappoint. So very talented and hands down the best consultation you will ever experience. I am very picky when it comes to altering my hair. I have had my hair professionally dyed a total of 5 times within the last 12 years. The first three were with different salons and stylists and I always ended up with unsatisfying results. In one incident I even had to wear a hat because I was so embarrassed of the outcome. I came in for a free consultation, and showed them exactly what I wanted. They picked the best artist for the dementional color I was trying to obtain. I have now been working with Darryl Soulis on achieving this goal and my expirenece has been absolutely amazing. Everytime time I come into lunatic fringe I am greeted pleasantly and offered multiple comfortable accommodations. Darryl has a great artistic ability and I am never disappointed with the results. He really listens to my thoughts and concerns and if I am ever unsure of the direction I want to go on this journey, he has excellent advise and helps me make the best decision for the look I'm trying to achieve. Lunatic Frindge is an absolutely amazing hair and beauty salon, the team work I witness while I'm there is phenomenal. Every one helps eachother out, gives advise, shares tips and tricks all with a big smiles. No matter how time consuming the project may be, I can count on exceptional service everytime. #1Salon

Very very disappointing! Me and my sister went here to get our hair done for my son's graduation and I left with flat hair that had to be re curled in front like three times and still wasn't what I wanted . I noticed my stylist taking larger chunks of hair in back to go faster I mentioned something and he said " oh you want your hair to look less curly back more straight and long " . By that point I didn't have time to have it redone again . Then top it off he said knew how to do " all kinds of braids " including Dutch and he wound up putting just a regular braid my husband could have done in that wound up falling out by the time I got home I didn't even make it to graduation with it in. My hair looked terrible. I couldn't believe it. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Or maybe it's just mine and my sisters hair stylists. Our hair was terrible. I have the pictures we took of 30 minutes after we got home see for yourself.

First time client and Reina did my hair. I've had some stylists blame their bad hair cutting skills on my hair but not Reina. As soon as I began talking to her I felt comfortable and knew that she knew what she was doing. Very good communicator and very respectful and sweet. My hair is super fine so if someone does a sloppy job or if it's uneven it shows very easily. Reina has given me the best cut for my fine hair I've had in years!!!! Like at least 5 years and I left feeling beautiful and it's been a while since I've left a salon feeling like that. And her blowout was really nice and she taught me a new blow drying technique. I'm very impressed and finally feel like I have a hairdresser I trust with my hair. She even made it look great after the last place I went to messed up my bangs. I'm definitely going to be going back and although the place is a bit pricey it's worth it!!!
