Terrible waxing service, very unprofessional. Walked into a dirty room had to watch her change the bedding (which was just an old floral comforter) then she began without any gloves. After the painful wax, still covered with sticky goo she gave me a cup of oil to clean myself up with, but nothing to apply it with. Definitely will not be going back.

I have been goung to J Miller Salon for 3 years, on Main St in Riverstone. Owner, Michelle Foeller is a seasoned hair technician with lots of experience. I always get compliments on my hair every where I go. The salon is very well run, clean, great products and so inviting. Michelle's partner, her sister, Deana runs the everyday operations and greets you at the front desk when you arrive. All the hair techs that work there are always pleasant and welcoming. Can't say enough about this business.

I was 20 min late and had to call to get better directions then goggle maps provided, and a girl by the name of Charlie who I was booked for answerd and was rude and high and mighty giving me detections. When I arrived she said I was late and explained if I wanted a hair cut it could only be basic. anything fancy, and I would have to wait for another person. So she had me prepped and sitting down in her chair for nothing. Then exported me back to the waiting room. Over all, i’d Say Charlie make my experience less then desired.

Oh. My. God. This is the go to place. Ask for Linda, she is GODLY with your hair. Honestly guys, I don’t write reviews ever but this is deserving. Not only was the customer service extremely friendly and amazing, but my stylist (Linda) treated me so well and was worth the money just to talk and laugh with her. Hair style wise: YOU WILL NOT BE SORRY Linda goes above and beyond to give you the most gorgeous specifically unique to you. My hair cut is absolutely stunning. She is so talented. I wish I could rate past 5.... it’s a 7/5, I really really really recommend Linda!!! :)

I will not go again. I went to try their waxing services for the first time and I also bought a groupon, and the first 15 mins was between me and Johnna (one of their estheticians of 14 years) figuring out the groupon. She did not know what she was doing and kept questioning the groupon and even questioned it as a scam. It was like she never dealt with groupon before. Then the waxing was rushed because she did not give enough leeway for her next appointment (it should usually be an hour) and she used only hard wax, didn't trim the hair, and pulled the wax off excruciatingly slow. She also didn't use gloves and seemed very tentative around the sensitive bakini areas and didn't jump right in and just get all the little hairs like most waxings I've had. She left little bits of wax all over me and just used a little bit of cooling spray instead of a soothing oil that would remove the remaining wax bits easily. I've been waxed many times, my favorite esthetician at a different salon left to be a stay at home mom, so I was looking for a new lady and was so disappointed with J Miller. Not going back.

Walk-in women's haircut is 35-50 dollars starting. That is just a little too steep for me to pay personally. But the salon was nice and the people were friendly. Might be a nice place for a splurge.

I came in to get a hair cut and toner which I had paid $45 for the last two visits. This visit I paid $110 with a lady named Linda. I called to check on why it was so much more and requested to speak to Linda and never heard back. Complete rip off and front desk does not keep track of prices and was no help. Will not ever be back!

J Miller Salon is awesome! They were able to fit me in last minute on a Saturday. I had highlights, cut and style done by Jeri Johns. She’s truly amazing. My hair turned out perfect. She listened to my concerns and really knew her stuff. Call and ask for Jeri -you won’t be disappointed.

I will never step foot in this place again. With how unprofessional and awkward Johna was. I had an appointment at 1:30 and didnt get to see Johna until 2. This was my first wax in a year and a half and she kept making comments about how "unkept" I was. She made me feel very awkward and made me feel terrible about myself. I understood that it would be painful, but she didnt nothing to distract me. She seemed like she was rushing, and I am not going to stand for that when I am paying for a service. She left wax on me and told me I could deal with it at home. I left the building crying with how upset she made me. I almost stopped her in the middle because of how rude she was. I am not the type to leave reviews like this because I am not a confrontational person, so it takes a lot for me to do this.

Everyone here is so nice, and Charlee is fantastic with my fine, hard-to-manage, stick-straight hair. She's the first person in CDA to actually help me like my hair! (I've got anxiety over getting my hair done because of some previous bad experiences, but I would recommend this place to anybody.) Prices are very reasonable, which is a bonus.

First of all, I have tried to resolve any issues with Janina Lopez directly, and she was not interested in doing so. This is why I am choosing to write a review--I am honestly trying to spare anyone else from a horrible experience like I had. It has been a month since I had a procedure with her at J. Miller, so I feel like I have had adequate time to 'calm down' after such a traumatic experience. Despite feeling extremely rushed (I did arrive to the salon a few minutes prior to appointment and found the front door locked) before my appointment, I felt Janina was very kind (now I realize this was likely insincere as she seemed to see me as a number rather than a person). I was able to use Groupon pricing for my service, so I now realize I was ignoring a number of 'red flags' to justify this procedure being within my budget with this discounted option. Janina did not take the time to adequately explain the pre- and post care for my procedure, nor did she provide any written instructions. I called after the procedure and asked for anything written (because I honestly forgot a lot of what she had hurriedly told me verbally during the procedure) and wanted to give myself the best possible outcome for healing as well as purchase the recommended post-products. She seemed annoyed and inconvenienced, and later 'fired' me as a client because she said we weren't a good match (I was not able to complete the 2nd and 3rd sessions to achieve full results for my procedure). She referred me to someone (who when I called was working out of Sandpoint) and was three times the price--not affordable to me. Note, we had gotten along fine until this point, and I have never had anyone else tell me this before (I am a very detail-oriented person, but not rude). My husband actually thought she had possibly done something 'wrong' during my procedure and was trying to cover herself. It was honestly the worst customer service horror I have ever experienced, and not only would I never recommend Janina, but I would also never return to J.Miller for any service. Tarah Boerner

I came to her after receiving a poor haircut from a different salon a couple weeks back and she quickly made my hair look and feel SO much better. Tera also didn’t charge me full price since I didn’t need a full cut, just some shaping and blending. I’d highly recommend her to anyone looking for a quality experienced stylist.
