Gen is the most incredible hair stylist I have ever had. She not only looks at all the pictures I bring in, haircuts, colors, she replicates them and more. She is patient and kind and I love when Its time for a hair cut. I drive from the Eagle area just for her!! I also love the atmosphere!

I had Chistina for stylist today I was not very happy with the service. It felt like the minute I got in her chair the race began to finish my hair as quick as possible. It was my first going through her but my third time at the salon. You would think as a first time client you would want to get know your client and make them feel comfortable. Needless to say that was a lot of awkward silence. She did do a good job on my hair which nice but it was an awful experience. Love the salon but I will not be using her again.

."Nails were done beautifully. However, not sure if nail tech was having a bad day or not, but the conversation was all very negative from her. Including opinions related to my family size and religion. I don't think it was meant to be an attack on me, but it was not pleasant. Conversation also stopped after I mentioned I may no longer be living in the area later in the year. When I tried to keep talking, I got very short responses and it was awkward/uncomfortable." .. I wasn't going to leave the salon a review as I was trying to give the nail tech the benefit of the doubt on having a bad day, and not wanting to put negative vibes out in the universe. But then I got an email seeking a review for their webpage (which only has 5 star reviews). So I left my then 3 stars and my feedback (word for word what was written above), but it wasn't published on the site. (Only 5 star reviews since I made mine have continued to be published.) So I decided to post it here. I feel like it's only fair for all reviews to be made known. Not just the ones they like. And unless there are two people with the name Sole, my nail tech is also the owner. So I guess I'm not surprised it wasn't put out for others to see. Definitely an overall disappointing experence.

What an adorable & friendly salon to stumble upon! I'm very happy with both my nail & hair services, by Sole & Genn, respectively. Genn has already helped me plan out exactly what I want to do next for my hair transformation. After searching for 2 years for a salon I trust, I feel comfortable in stating I FINALLY FOUND IT!!

It's Us In BOI

I TRIED very diligently to get an appointment with Jenna for over a week. I left 3 messages for her with not-so-helpful people answering the phone. Another call in the middle of the afternoon no one answered, and I received one call back 4 days later (even though Jenna was "in" on the days I called). Beware, they don't need new clients and their customer service from the get go is non-existent. Darn.

I've had my hair cut by Genn twice now and wow! It's always a bit iffy at first because my hair always lays differently initially but each time has turned out so well. I generally come in without a very clear description of what I would like, but she always figures out a way to make my hair look so great. I'm very happy that I finally found the perfect hair stylist in Boise :)

Katelyn is super!! Personable and does a great job coloring, cutting and styling! Update: I stopped going to Katelyn because I didn't feel like I had her attention, she would work on two ladies, which I dealt with, but when she began running up to an hour behind continuously, and called me the day of my appointment as I am driving to the salon, and asked if I could reschedule because she had someone come in who didn't have an appointment. That was it and she didn't understand why I was annoyed. I made the appointment weeks beforehand and needed my hair done before an event that weekend.

I got a beautiful hairstyle unlike I've had anywhere. My hair falls in soft layers and the natural curl was accentuated. Taylor is a truly a master of the craft!

Really really busy salon. I was given a gift certificate for here from my boyfriend for my birthday for a mani pedi. I asked for gel and was told she didn't have time because it was too busy. Nice lady though.

I had my hair highlighted by Katelyn on 10/22 and ended up with a tri colored mess- grey/blonde on top, brassy blonde in some spots and dark roots at the back of my head. Katelyn has done my hair before, so I sent her a text with pictures figuring it would be no issue to resolve. Katelyn at first denied there was an issue and then became very defensive. Long story short I did not hear anything for a week, by then I posted an honest review, and Katelyn left me a voice mail message wishing me luck in finding a new stylist.

I love this salon! TWICE now the ladies here have fixed my daughter's botched hair cuts from other salons (took them to a Supercuts near home for a last minute cut... terrible idea!!)..but I'm so thankful for these talented stylists! They are the only place we'll be coming to from now on. And huge bonus.. They have online booking!
