Renee and her team worked absolute magic on my hair! They took my dry, damaged, grown-out and brassy hair and transformed it into a gorgeous crown of soft, shiny, blonde tresses. I’ve gotten so many compliments and am so in love with my new hair! Not only are the women at Sanctuary Salon seriously talented but they do their work with a bright energy and positive vibes that make spending time there a real treat. I left feeling rejuvenated not only physically, but spiritually, too. Thank you, ladies, for the best salon experience I could imagine!

Renee is simply incredible. I have straight Asian hair, and have always kept it long. Whenever I feel my hair is getting too heavy, I always see Rene to lighten the load and add layers to give my hair less of a boring straight look. Hair stylists I've seen in the past, for some reason, could never give me the consistency I want with my hair cuts - sometimes I'd get too short, too many layers, etc. - because I want the same thing every time. Ever since I started going to Rene (about 5 years now), I get what I want every time.

Thank you Sabrina and Renee for doing my hair! I am so so happy with the result, I’m still smiling from ear to ear with the new look. So happy with how it turned out. So many previous hair salons that just disappointed me and did NIL to my hair. I had black/blonde failed ombré hair and no hair salon satisfied my expectations. Even tho I showed the girls a pic of what I wanted, after the finished looked I actually fell in love even tho it didn’t 100% match the picture. I realised my ideal look was a bit too warm and orange, they described and explained things perfectly to me and everything was great! Every second was worth it, the funny convos, free Jamba Juice and the short amount of time it took to do my hair! Sabrina I wish we could be best friends you’re great to talk to and we’re so alike in so many ways, you make me laugh and you’re so beautiful inside and out! Seriously I wish I could live in Hawaii just to have you as my hair stylist (I’m from Australia). My boyfriend’s jaw dropped when he saw my hair and he loves it so much he couldn’t stop showering me with compliments!

My stylist was Leah and I highly recommend her! She has a very calm energy about her that made me feel at ease. Everything was relaxing and professional. She really listened carefully to what I wanted done with my hair every step of the way. For $65, I got a better cut than I've gotten at places I've spent over $100 at. I love my new haircut and I would definitely go back to this salon. Thank you, Leah! :)

I have mistreated my hair immensely (read full review for further horror details). It was so fried that it looked like corgi butt hair! By some amazing magic Erin Buchtrup brought it back to life and made my hair feel beautiful again! It’s the healthiest most beautiful cut, color, condition I’ve ever had! She spent hours with my hair! It’s honestly better than I could have ever imagined! I am so grateful! The experience was amazing! Erin is also an intelligent conversationalist! She gave me CUSTOMIZED tips on styling and care! tips that kept my budget and time in mind which was brilliant! My hair was a serious challenge and she handled it like a pro! I literally set it on fire last Thursday(it was an accident while fire dancing)... Before that I bleached it and box colored it! My hair has been that way for while too because I haven’t had a haircut in nearly three years! If she can handle all that and make it beautiful again! She can handle whatever your hair situation is!

This was hands down my best experience at a hair salon and if it weren’t for me trying to be financially responsible, I would book tickets to fly back to Hawaii for all of my hair appointments.

I had such a great experience at Sanctuary Salon. I had Tasha as my hairdresser and she cut my hair perfectly! I had tried to cut my own hair and lets say it didn't turn out how I wanted it, but Tasha fixed it perfectly. I told her what I was looking for and she slowly cut my hair in different ways until I was happy with the finished product. I've never had a hairdresser do that before and it made me feel very confident that the final result was exactly what I wanted and what I would be most happy with. She is a great conversationalist and clearly knows what she is doing! The salon itself had a great atmosphere and was very clean. I also liked that the products they use are mostly plant based and have very little additives in them. I would highly recommend going here for your next hair appointment! Thanks Tasha!

Renee is a miracle worker. I've got weird curly hair and in 31 years of life, I have never not came out of a salon crying until now. She knew exactly what I needed with no prompting and my hair is big, bouncy, a fantastic shape, easy to grow out, and I have bangs!! My pics really don't show the joy I have as I'm super tired, but I keep raving about this haircut to anyone who will listen. I was a little scared when I went in and met her and she really put me to ease and I felt relaxed through the cut. I'm so happy. I cannot believe I haven't found her sooner! This place is cozy and inviting with a great view to Diamond Head. The staff is friendly and their input in hair coloring and products was on point. Renee has precision when cutting hair and she has a strong sense to hairstyling.

I was ditched by another hair salon with my bridal party on my wedding day 9 am and Kira came to rescue even originally she was having a day off scheduled on that day. She said she can't let a bride hanging there so she make it work with an 11 am appointment after I told her about my situation. And I am actually happy everything happened as it did because I can't have better bridal hair-do and make ups without Sanctuary Salon. Both me and my mom are Asian and my mother in law is American and all of our make ups are perfect. Kira is a hand down make up artist and so amazing I would highly recommend bridal parties book with her because she's 200% reliable and give you the best hairdo and make up. I also forgot my bridal accessories and I got ones from them I like so much better than what I originally was going to use. Thank you Kira, Tasha and Ashley. You really saved my wedding day :)

Amazing salon, felt welcomed from the moment I called to make an appointment. They make you feel as if you have been going there forever. Renee is magical, her talent is worth every penny, and Sabrina was an absolute a breath of fresh air. You will not be disappointed especially if you have blonde fine wavy hair, challenge was accepted and the results: no brass, no yellow, just beautiful blonde! Parking was behind the building, or there are meters on the street.
