As a specialist of Japanese salon scissors I know that these stylists all keep their scissors in top condition. In addition their scissors are also of high quality. To their clients this means they do not tear hair, when styling, causing split ends. These stylists demand quality.

Saw Gabby today with a groupon for color gloss and cut...amazing on all fronts! I was in desperate need of a cut, hair color had gotten brassy and dull and now it looks amazing. This will definitely be my go-to in the future! I am so happy with everything, especially the cut.

Contrary to popular believe, Salon 253 is not named after the area code for Tacoma, Washington. Nicole and the gang run a great shop. While it shouldn't necessitate mentioning (but sadly, it's not the case at all hair cutteries), the stylists know how to cut hair. Not only that, the staff is really welcoming. They'll greet you with an espresso drink! Plus, they are all just so dang fun. Definitely go through their online reservation system and you'll receive a discount. Also, tell 'em that Neal referred you and we'll both get a discount!

I really enjoyed having Adiel as my stylist for my wedding day. She is truly talented, genuine, and a great person! I wanted something exotic, but subtle and she found the perfect solution with my makeup. Her makeup was flawless and she definitely helped me look like the princess I felt on my wedding day. She was so kind to also share some stuff with one of my bridesmaid that forgot most of her things. My bridesmaids wanted to enjoy doing each others hair and makeup the morning of our wedding and Adiel even kindly offered to make some final touches to their hairs! Her pricing was beyond fair and she was so fun to spend time with the day of my wedding! Thank you!

Had to go back second time stylist did not listen to what I wanted very expensive for a super cut doo.Although I went back got my hair washed in cold water agitated the stylist she clearly wasn't as skilled as had hoped. I won't spend a dime there again.

Great place! Just had my first appointment there - with Nikki: The girl is a genius! I am tying to let my gray hair grow out - did not think it is possible to look good during the transition. Nikki found a way to blend my natural gray hair perfectly with the growing out colored hair and on top of that made me look fabulous! Such a rare talent! Grateful also to the wonderful Adiel, for recommending Nikki after listening carefully to what I was trying to achieve with my hair!

I moved to Maui last year. I had gone to my hairdresser for 20 years in California so I was concerned. It’s hard to find someone who can handle my fine hair and the blonde color. I’m a natural blonde so I didn’t want it to look brassy. I was so pleased with the professional atmosphere of Salon 253. The owner took time to look at my color notes and make sure that the results were what I wanted. My stylish was Hanna and she did a fantastic job. I was so relieved and happy with the results. Hanna is very talented and really listened to what I wanted. Hanna and the salon get an A+ in my book. They have a customer for life. Thanks so much!

What an amazing group of stylists! I did the wedding package and had my make up and hair and all my brides maids' hair and make up done and everything was amazing. The styles and the make up was absolutely perfect and the atmosphere was fun and relaxing and so welcoming! These girls know how to cut and style hair, do make up AND have lots of fun while doing it. I would highly recommend this salon for any special occasion or just a simple hair cut.
