Hedi the manger is a witch! You can see further why I would say something like that on my yelp review ... If she's gone I would go back due to the fact they come across more natural and the stylist are super sweet . I'm usually easy to please and never speak my mind due to shyness ~ But boy did that woman bring it out of me . My hair got totally screwed 3x's . I was bullied and treated poorly despite the $500+ more I gave the salon . Maybe other services are good but wanting anything besides high and low lights seems a bit challenging . I want to love the brand in itself but that woman just ruins it for me If i like the product i should just by it but then I think of her tone and the egotistical condescending remarks and I move along..

I hate to admit it but I come to Hawaii to get my hair done by Vince. Why? Because I realize that I am worth it. I live a simple life on the mainland but when it comes to my hair, few people know how to cut very thick, and individually thick Japanese Hair where I live. Also Vince is not about being a hair Artist. He sees himself as a transformer. He is a magician. He is very skillful- a Master at his craft. He is about being a condition for my happiness. He understands he can be a strong condition for my looking good by listening carefully to what I want. He is positive and doesn't gossip. Gossip destroys lives and is a very bad habit. He allows me to enjoy his care in silence. Don't get me wrong, I don't spend much time on make up, clothes or hair. I teach simplicity, peace, integrity, community and Equality as a Quaker and the Dharma as a way of thinking as a Buddha Path teacher. But there is a middle way between vanity and complete disregard for one's body and appearance. If you are spending an hour a day or more on your hair, clothes make up, etc you have not yet realized that no matter what the wrapping looks like if the contents smell bad everyone knows. On the other hand, if you are too depressed or negative about yourself, then that self hatred shows up in how you look, dress and comport yourself. There is a middle way. Vince knows that I have a very limited income of less than $26,009 a year. But I live very simply most of the time and I have enough savings and frequent flyers to come to Hawaii to vacation, see my Family and see Vince once a year. My family are in their 90's and they are very precious to me. For every hour I spend in front of the mirror may I remember with gratitude their kindness to me and cut that time in half and spend the other half with them.

Front desk staff are efficient, courteous and well trained. My service provider, Satoko is not only the finest human being, but is THE BEST at what she does when it comes to mani, pedi, facial etc. The problem I have is that owners aren't willing to repair pedicure chairs as needed. These chairs used to massage, have hot foot bath & whirlpool, but apparently the owners don't want to invest in repairing/replacing them. Big mistake....b/c these features distinguish one salon from another and really added to my experience of enjoyment and relaxation during my service. As things break down, they don't want to fix.....I always wonder what will be next.

I LOVE this salon!! My stylist is Diana and she is very good with color and I love the short hair cut I now have! The staff is very professional, the salon is conveniently located in Ala Moana Center and they are open 7 days a week!! This is an AVEDA salon and I love the products!

I went to my appointment, everyone was nice! No doubt about that! But my hair? I am really sad and super frustrated. I went to the Kapolei Salon and saw Mimi. She seemed super experienced. She was fast and she sounded like she knew what she was talking about. I showed her exactly what's i wanted, she told me okay and that she will make me look great! I told her I trust you! I had a conversation with her, talked to her about how long has she been doing hair and she said she has been experienced and doing hair for about 14 years. Don't get me wrong I really like her she is super sweet and respectful and I'm not trying to disrespect her but I totally had a bad experience with my hair. I explained to Mimi please I do NOT want brassy tones at all. We went over the color book and I explained to her that's i wanted ashy tones and low lights as well. I only waited for 10 minutes after she was completely done prepping my hair and putting on all the foil. Then she removed the foil and showed me the highlights lifted and it was blonde and not even orange... I was so excited!!! I came back to the chair to dry and I didn't see anything. She said she mixed two toners so I could have some browns and ash because she didn't want my hair to make me look pale. I was trying to just appreciate a new look and maybe it would work for me. She dried my hair completely and even put curls in it. When I compared a before and after look, all I could really see is a change in my hair color and curls. I couldn't see any highlights as I explained to her how I wanted to look. My appointment was in the evening at 530 and it lasted until 830. I left at night so I gave her the benefit of the doubt that maybe I should wait until today to see what it would look like. I woke up in the morning I didn't see a new me, I honestly didn't see anything but just a color changing in my hair. The highlights was not what I wanted or the look and I literally cried. I paid $200 for this and even tipped her for her services because I just felt bad and like I said she is super nice. I called the next day and spoke with the manager and wanted to come in for a correction. I came back at 5 and again until 8. I had a baby sitter about this time and I had nobody to watch baby to accommodate my appointments so my appointments were super important when they were made. We went through the whole process. Only that after she was complete she had told me she did not use bleach and that she only used haircolor to try to lift my highlights which did nothing at all. The second appointment was even worse! I just didn't know what to do at this point. I finally called the Ala Moana store and talked to the GM and she scheduled me in for my appointment that they would exchange services. They would have a senior stylist do my hair and correct it. I scheduled a appointment out pretty far so that it would again as I mentioned accommodate for a babysitter and the appointment. This was set, I was super excited. Today marks the day of my appointment and they call me up to tell me, I'm sorry harmony we need to reschedule your appointment because the lady who was suppose to do your hair called in today. OHHH MYYY GOD I was already at my whits ends already and had enough of holding back! I asked to talk to the GM and they told me she isn't coming in until noon, so I asked them to call me back. I asked the lady is there a way you can accommodate me for my appointment with someone else who is experienced? They said no sorry, we are booked today! Ohhh

Ho‘ala Salon & Spa provides me with the best spa experience every time! From the moment I walk through the doors, my stress starts to melt away with the wonderful aroma of essential oils, and I am treated like a special guest throughout my visit. I love the spa day, especially, with spa, hair and nail services, and spoil myself whenever I can because it really de-stresses me and Ieaves me feeling relaxed and beautiful, inside and out! Their staff is so well-trained so I know I am getting the best services available from true licensed professionals. I also love that they use Aveda products exclusively, and that I can purchase the full line of Aveda products at Ho‘ala to use at home. My bathroom looks like an Aveda store - ha! If you havenʻt figured it out, yet - I LOVE Ho‘ala Salon & Spa!!!

I went in for a Charka Massage. My lower back ached and she didn’t work on it. Massage wasn’t that great, chakra cards were beat up and dirty looking. She place the cards sloppy on table. I didn’t feel I got my 15 extra minutes I paid $25 extra for. The steam room smelled moldy. I was disappointed. Very expensive not worth it. Pay all that money you should get an authentic massage.

Excellent first experience! A little pricey but similar to Paul Brown Salon. What sets Hoala above is the special treatment they gave me in the massage before and after the shampoo. They didn't make me feel rushed. Their calm demeanor made me feel special.

Hoala salon is absolutely the best! No matter what the treatment you are going in for they make you feel so special. It's like a quiet and relaxing getaway. I have been there many times for facials and massages without ever being disappointed. I have been to 4 star hotels for the same service and Hoala salon ranks right up there with the best. I highly recommend the salon.

It's a one stop salon... you can truly send the entire day here from getting your hair and nails done to relaxing with a massage and enjoying the steam room. I love the Aveda smell walking into the salon and the warm and friendly greeters. I would recommend have a service here. I have gotten my hair cut and colored by Gabbie and color with also Janelle. They are talented hairstylists!

Tina is a great hair stylist, very talented and personable. Even though my straightened style didn't hold too long (never does with my flyaway hair), it was fun to have a more polished look while it lasted and to get some photos. Best of all, my dogs were allowed to sit next to me while I got styled. The products here all smell amazing and the turmeric tea they give you during the session is healthy and yummy!

The salon, is very relaxing, water & tea is offered during your time there along with a hand and arm massage during your hair wash. The service all around is astounding. Most importantly I want to recognize my hair stylist Janelle. Let me tell you, I have not gotten my hair done in years so I was a bit scared of what the outcome would be but I took the chance. I came to Janelle first for a balayage, which looked fantastic but, I initially wanted a more golden blonde. I came in a second time and she got it exactly how I wanted it. She’s amazing! The care and dedication she gives to her clients makes them want to come back repeatedly. Which I most definitely will be doing. She’s extremely friendly and knows her stuff. Totally not worth it. I got a trim and it cost me $100 dollars (not including gratuity). I knew before coming in this was a high end salon. Being a college student with a few extra cash to splurge I thought, why not? The service was not amazing, I was surrounded by older women who had extra" friendly" stylists who were super professional and kind. Above all, my hair looked and felt the same after the 15 minute trim. I honestly regret coming here and know I could've had a better deal at SuperCuts. I gave it two stars because their products are great.

Love this salon! I got a spa day for my birthday and it included the best massage ever and an amazing facial. It ended with a haircut that made me switch hair stylist. I use to go somewhere else but love the way Luna styled my hair. I would recommend to everyone!

I have a great stylist but wanted to try out this salon after I heard about the amazing "massage" treatment that is complimentary to all of their haircuts. What I experienced was a pretty typical hair wash that was supposedly the "massage". I literally left 20 minutes after I checked in. I felt like it was a Great Clips experience, no TLC at all. Not what I expect for a $85 haircut. I can't complain about the haircut, it was fine but just expected a lot more.

I have been to many spa's and I have to share just how wonderful Hoala Spa is. I've tried body treatments and scrubs, massages, facials and hair services. I've always enjoyed it. The spa is clean and relaxing, the products are high quality and the aesthitians, therapists, front desk, nail techs, hairstylists...well everyone....is exceptional. It shows what good management they have.

They took us last minute and did an amazing job and both of the women were so sweet and gentle. Also, hot towels that were actually hot! Update - two weeks later and my toes still look like they were just done. This place is expensive but your pedicure will last. I'm impressed and would return in a heart beat.
