I have a really challenging hair and wasn't sure what kind of treatment I needed. Jeremy was very patient and explained about all the options. I ended up getting a Brazilian Blowout and i'm very happy with the end result. The staff is super nice and the prices are very reasonable compared to other places on the island. Highly recommended!

I walked in a few days ago right as they opened just to get my sides and neck touched up. I've never been to 808 before except with my wife who was taken care by the owner, Jeremy, the weekend before. She loves her pixie cut and will definitely be going back. However, what really stands out to me is the day I dropped in they were booked but Jeremy happened to be in for a morning meeting on his day off and offered to take me. When I thankfully declined not wanting to ruin his day off and said I was happy to come back later he insisted and gave me the best fade I've gotten in years. It's small things like that which stand out and achieve a life long customer. I highly recommend 808 Hair Salon

They were so kind and friendly as we swapped stories and they gave me wine as I waited for my hair to dye. Jeremy is an absolute artist. He knows everything there is to do with hair and make you feel like a superstar when you leave.

I came in for help with a year's worth of bad haircuts I had experienced in Tucson. Pricey bad haircuts. I was nervous, but my daughter Molly Patrick of Clean Food Dirty Girl, encouraged me. I have natural platnium, medium short hair that is not as thick as it was when it was dark brown and down to my waist. It has some natural curl and several crazy cowlicks. Amber introduced herself and showed me to my seat. I spent 10 minutes explaining what I wanted: shape, volume, style, wash and go friendly without the use of a blow dryer, and a smattering of sass! She was totally present, took the time to shape and sculpt, and she delivered the BEST cut I have ever had. Thank you Amber

Michelle bell has changed my mind from what I thought was a women's only salon was. She brang a barber skill and gave me a haircut that was better and faster then any barbershop on maui!!!! I'm Picky about every detail and some how she nailed it first try flawless!!! Skill and talent are two different things but once in awhile someone mixes the two and you end up with Michelle!!! Some people are just blessed with talent and they need an outlet for them to live out there potential. I'm following the skill!!

This is the only place in Maui that I have gotten my hair done. The owner Jeremy is absolutely fabulous. I have an appointment next Saturday with Jennie A and I COULD NOT BE MORE EXCITED!!! Resident of Maui, tourist, WHATEVER.. COME TO 808 Hair Salon! EDIT: Left unhappy spending more than I anticipated, and got nothing I wanted color wise.

I had a morning wedding back in July in Maui and so I needed someone who could do my hair super early (6:30 am). 808 Hair Salon was super close by to where we were staying so I contacted them to see if someone might be interested in coming early to style my hair. Without delay they contacted me back and got me all set up with Kimberly Floyd. That day our rental car wouldn't start so I was super stressed once I arrived to my appt (15 min late) and was a little nervous about how things would turn out since I had absolutely no clue what to expect from Kimberly. But she was absolutely AMAZING!! Couldn't have been happier with her. She was calm and confident in her ability to give me the curls and body I wanted out of my fine straight hair and she was experienced in working with floral crowns. She got to work right away and helped ease my nerves. She finished on time and my hair was stunning! Seriously I couldn't believe what a beautiful job she did I couldn't believe it was my hair!!! Lol thank you so much Kimberly you were awesome I just wish I could've taken you back to Houston with me!!

I made a huge leap of faith going from natural blonde to purple hair. I loved my initial results, but it turns out with my long thick hair i required a lot of product (that I was upcharged for). My last visit I requested Jeremy please not use a red based purple on me, I preferred the blue based purple and direct dye fantasy colors. Despite my appointment with him, he passed me off to another employee, and proceeded to have her apply a red based permanent dye that quickly changed to a burgundy brown green catastrophe. He refused to fix it, and refunded my money stating "his salon wasn't making any money on me." I am heart broken over my ruined hair.

I was recommended to 808 Salon in Kihei by another business, so I booked with Veronica. She listened to what I wanted and offered ways to best fit the idea to my particular type of hair. First I went in to have a cut and style so we could discuss color. I lived the look so much I almost didn't opt of a color change. But three days later I kept my appointment to go back in for a full color, balayage w/highlight, and all over toner. It took 4 hours to complete my look and Veronica was amazing. She didn't make me feel rushed and gave me her undivided attention. I can't wait to go back.

When someone loves what they do, it really shows in their work. I have had the pleasure of getting haircuts from both Jeremy and Heidi. Every time it's the perfect cut. We are flying in to Maui this weekend from SF. I just called to make an appt. for my 3 boys this Saturday and the young lady said that I can come in at 9am. The pictures of their haircuts were so awesome and I was so elated to get an appt at the first place that I called. When I told her that my children were black and had long curly hair she put me on hold and came back to say that she had no appts available. I haven’t even gotten there yet and I’m already experiencing prejudice on the big island. ☹️

I did not have a good experience. The color was not what I asked for and the hairstylist burned my scalp with bleach in one area. I did speak up and she removed it, with very hot water, which seemed weird to me. But since I've been having my hair dyed for years (bleached and colored) and this had never happened, I was pretty upset. She didn't seem confident in what I asked for. It was my fault staying but she shouldn't have continued if she couldn't do it.

After 2 years in Maui I had resigned to the fact that I just couldn’t get a good haircut. I used to get my haircut every week back home and 2 months ago I got butchered and literally looked like I had a marine haircut . So I decided to not cut my hair so it could grow back. My hair looked horrible. I decided I had to get a haircut regardless of the outcome. Then I saw 808 Hair Salon online and they had great reviews. I called and they had an appointment same day. I had Kim as my stylist and she is the Bomb! She listened to my story and what I wanted and I could not be happier! The best haircut in years. I just wanted to be short and spiky! And I’m short and spiky! If you need a haircut do not go anywhere but 808 Salon. I have been thru every salon there is in Maui trying to get a good cut and this is the place! Awesome salon ! Awesome people! Hoff Out!
