BOOK MONIQUE!! She has gifted hands, knows what she's doing, great personality and professional. My first time getting a silk press and I have been natural for 5 years but needed a good trim since I didn't get a hair cut in a year. I look forward to visiting again. I had a 1pm appointment and ended at 4:30pm I believe it took a while because there was another client being attended to but Monique was super accommodating when it was time to work on my hair. Very happy with my new hair cut style and silk press thanks Monique! :)

I discovered Monique through a Groupon offer while looking for a stylist I could trust to care for my natural hair. I rarely go to the salon, but I insist on quality natural products, professional behavior and timeliness. I expect my stylist to love what they do and have a passion for making each person look and feel their best with prices that are within budget. I received all of that during my first visit and knew I would be back. I returned to her yesterday to help me pull off my date night look and I was again treated to her wonderful care with even better products! If you want a professional stylist that cares and is knows about the care required for natural hair, respects your time and does a great job, seek Monique.

I traveled to the Atlanta area, from another state, to visit family and decided I would get my hair washed and pressed while there. I learned of Monique's services through Google. I booked an appointment two weeks ago through Vagaro. My appointment status showed pending when I first booked the appointment and by the next day, it showed confirmed. When I arrived at my appointment, Monique was not there. She stated that she cancelled my appointment because I called and cancelled my appointment, stating I needed a same day appointment. She also stated she did not have a phone number to contact me, which is why she didn't call me. She assured me that she would come to the shop to do my hair, and it wouldn't take her long to get there because she lives on Peachtree. I waited at the shop for an hour before contacting her via text to find out how much longer it would be before she arrived. She didn't respond to the text, so I called and left a voice message. She later texted me and stated that she was in bumper to bumper traffic. Traveling from Fayetteville to Atlanta in an hour in 5:00 PM traffic, makes it hard to believe that coming from one destination on Peachtree Street to another on Peachtree would take an hour at 7:00 PM, after rush hour. It is very upsetting to me when people are not honest, but it's even more upsetting when business owners are dishonest. Honesty will take a business far. I would have been much more understanding if she was upfront and honest with me. I traveled an hour to my appointment, waited for an hour, and then traveled an hour home, without getting my hair done. This is very unfortunate.

Monique has a private suite therefore each and every visit is personal time for us to have girl talk without the noise of a booth in a salon. I love coming to get my hair done with Monique. I’ve been going to her for a year now. I found her on Groupon and she did an amazing job on my silk press so I’ve been coming to her ever since. She did a keratin treatment for me last July and it has had a lasting effect. That was my first treatment so I didn’t know what to expect. My hair is much more manageable and easy to dry. When I’m in the salon, I’m generally the only one there. I’m very busy and am a working professional so I really appreciate this. When you come to her salon, you won’t have 6 people ahead of you and it won’t be an all day event. I’m usually in and out in an hour if I’m getting a wash, silk press and style. I usually wear weaves but decided to give my hair a break for 2017 and I’m glad that I did. My hair had grown so much in this past year. Not only does she do an excellent job when your at the salon, she gives you tips on what you should do at home which is so important for me because I’m clueless about my hair.

She has an awesome personality but i don't know if it because she wasn't feeling well but I was burned multiple times on my scalp and i also have a small burn on the upper side of my face. Also even though I bought a silk press from groupon i don't think she gave me one, i believe it was just a blow dry and flat iron as my hair began reverted within a hour which often happens after a regular flat iron. Groupon was for silk press and deep condition but she literally deep conditioned me for 5 minutes under the hood, thats definitely not a professional deep condition. Worst for me is she went over my natural hair more than three times with the flat iron and continuously backtracked and went over straight pieces again. then at the end she went through it again with a larger iron. AGAIN, She had a great personality but i would not suggest for natural girls.

I would first like to say that this is the first time I have EVER been to the salon to get my hair done(team natural 4c). I've been natural for over a year and never had a trim. I can't begin to describe how much Monique slayed my hair I looked like a goddess I was so amazed. My hair was washed, keratin treatment, I was put under a hydration machine to open my scalp pores, hair blow dried, silk press, trim, cut into a bob, and styled. The bounce and volume was phenomenal. The total amount wasn't even expensive I most definitely recommend her to anyone and she works with all hair types. Did I mention she is so chill and down to earth she has a really good spirit that I don't pick up from alot of people I meet. My new and only stylist♡♡♡.

I discovered Monique via Groupon. I was able to get about $30 off her services, and she did not disappoint. She works very quickly, and my silk press was BOMB! The only thing though...she plays very explicit music and curses while conversing with clients. If you don’t mind those two things, she is a good salon specialist to go to.
