Applause for the talent! A refreshing visionary, honest, patient, creative. His hands and mind are gifted and overall, this was a delightful experience in an upbeat, 'funktastic' salon.

Try to avoid this place at all cost. All I needed done was a simple Blow Dry, the easiest thing a stylist can do. A girl named Katrina did It. She kept trying to put all these products in my hair. I have very easy manageable hair. I also have the Keratin so very simple and easy to blow dry. I told her " I don't need all these products, I have a keratin and I just need a simple blow dry, that's it." She then said she couldn't blow dry it without putting in as much products as she wants. What?? What hair stylist can't do a simple blow dry without an over dose of hair products?! I ended up just leaving with my hair half done. TERRIBLE!!!!!

I've been going to Kim at J. Bauman Salon for several months now and continue to get great service. I highly recommend her for a haircut. She is very professional and friendly and I look forward to returning to her soon. The front desk is also very friendly and they do a great job of returning calls and fitting me into the schedule. Neisjah Hastings did my cut and style. I was very impressed by her professionalism, sweetness, attention to detail and probably the best blow out I've ever had. I was a walk in on my lunch break and the front desk was very accommodating. The place was very clean and the parking was convenient. They had a wide variety of products to choose from and their prices were good. I will definitely have this salon as my go to from now on.

I've been a loyal customer here for about 3 years. Carly is amazingly talented!!! Gets me in and out, takes good notes so she knows exactly what we did the next time I visit. It's clean and modern in the salon too. Phone chargers for anyone to use, coffee, a nice bathroom and friendly staff. I had been trying all types of salons in Orlando and I'm happy I finally found Carly here. Pricing is decent and its really easy to make an appointment online. I don't go anywhere else

I have been going to J Bauman since the end of 2013 and have always had Kara do my hair. She does a PHENOMENAL job every time. I’ve lived in 5 states and never loved how stylists from New York to California have done my hair. Kara is the total opposite. She listens to what I like or want to do, gives me feedback, and then executes. I have never left there without immediately walking into the parking lot and taking a selfie because I’m so happy with my new look. She helped me chop 13” off my hair, highlights, ombré, balayage, extensions, keratin treatment, I’ve gone from flat brunette to full blonde and back again... you name it, I’ve done it and Kara has made sure it’s perfect.

I could not be happier with my experience at J Bauman. I have had some truly terrible experience at salons and was scared to get my hair done by anyone. I went to consultations at 2 other popular Orlando salons, but I am so happy I decided to go with Kim at J Bauman. She listened to my concerns, looked through my pinterest page I had created, walked me through the process she was going to use and what I could expect for the outcome since we were going from darker colored hair to a lighter bayalage. She put me at ease and in the end gave me exactly what I asked for. I walked out with my hair looking like it could be a pin on my hair inspiration board. Plus it is still soft and healthy. No breaking or damage from the bleach! I can't rave about her enough. If you are looking for a talented, dedicated, knowledgeable hairstylist look no further, Kim is your girl.

After having recently moved to Orlando, the task of finding a knowledgeable AND trustworthy stylist was beyond intimidating. So many choices and "experts" telling me what I wanted to hear and always to my detriment. Deciding to do my due diligence, I researched social media and found Pray. Based on his prior reviews and the supportive comments on his work on social media, it felt like an easy decision; most importantly, it was the right decision! Pray is laid back and friendly. He is not aggressive and listens to what I want. I'm not an expert and it's easy to request any type of style; Pray will explain plainly and clearly what is feasible for my hair type and length. He is transparent in his approach and places satisfaction above business. Pray is thorough and has an eye for detail and communicates throughout. Pray is a stylist with a command of the hair game and his prices reflect his talent and knowledge. As your stylist, Pray will be the best (and easiest) decision you'll get to make!

This place is full of beautiful people, inside and out. The salon is full of happy conversations and chatter, so I can only assume that most, if not all customers, are having a great time. I know I do. You arrive with a cheerful welcome from the front desk, offered any drinks as you wait. (You don't wait long.) Women and men are welcome here, so guys don't let the salon name scare you off. You'll come out looking good, and your significant other (or future significant other) will greatly appreciate it. They listen to your needs and absolutely deliver. You can book an appointment online, and the interface is easy to use and mobile friendly. Big shout out to Katrina there (IG @shearkatrina), she's amazing and a highlight of the day when I come by to keep the look fresh. It's a shame I don't live here in Orlando.

Prior to my visit, the website was helpful in determining the services offered and their associated costs, so my expectations were absolutely set before stepping through the door. I was also able to book directly online with the stylist of my choice (having a quick link to their social media was super helpful as well)! The salon itself was very easy to find with an added bonus of on-site parking. Inside was very clean, and my stylist (Pray) was very professional yet laid-back and super friendly. He listened to what I wanted and, in turn, was very realistic and transparent regarding the approach he would take to get me as close to the end result I envisioned. I cannot thank him enough for his attention to detail and the overall time he spent with me that afternoon. He has a wonderful eye for color and I have received so many compliments! I plan on making my next appointment with Pray soon, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the salon and his services specifically!

Got a men's haircut here and it was the best salon experience I've ever had! My stylist was fun and kept me engaged while I was getting a hair cut. Unfortunate situation, not understanding and unforgiving. I am one of those who does not write too many reviews unless extremely over satisfied or overwhelming disappointed and unfortunately this salon has caused not only an unsatisfied customer but unnecessary stress. This started a few week before my soon to be wife and I are getting married as she schedules her first appointment which she has to jump through hoops and take off work to get an appointment. Then once that appointment comes around my fiance is unsatisfied with her already overly expensive hair makeover. Tries to make an appoint with the same lady and, of course, booked out for weeks and unable to see her again. She books with another appointment with another person, only to find out it will be another $150 to fix the already unsatisfied previous appointment she had and calls to find out from the rude front desk/reception girl that not only is no schedule flexible up or down, but their hands are tied and there is nothing they can do except show up in an hour or wait two days. To make all of this worse, after explaining it to her in detail, is unapologetic, unsympathetic, rude, and flat out bitchy to someone who is already in stress of wedding planning and trying to make things as smooth and organized as possible. I am the husband of a bride, the recipient of the call whose bride is crying because all she want is for her hair to be fixed so the pictures we take, which will be for a life time, will be what she wants, and what she deserves. This salon will not receive any more business from us, today tomorrow or in the future, and if we are an inconvenience to you, I will let future brides know that they do not have sympathy for you nor do they correct their mistakes if they are made without charge you a second overly ridiculous price for a mistake they made. That will be the last time my wife will call me crying on the phone from a terrible salon with poor customer service and simple people communication skills.

I got lucky to be booked with Kara. My hair was a mess from trying to do it myself for several months, so it was several different colors and tones. Kara was able to do exactly what I wanted even making my "base color" all one color and then adding bayalage highlights and glazing. I swear she is a magician with color! I couldn't be happier with the way it turned out and I will most definitely be making Kara my permanent colorist/stylist! Thanks Kara!!!

I was in town for a conference and called Thursday and was able to get in Friday! I used the special for first time clients I found online. I gave Kelly a great challenge: I have thin, graying hair and wanted natural looking color and highlights, an updated style that I could work with at home, that wasn't so short my husband would have a fit! Kelly asked questions and really listened to me, talked about what she was doing at each step, and even gave me a wonderful relaxing head massage during the process. When she was finished, I was blown away! I have never looked this good! My style met and exceeded all my expectations, and what was more amazing was my husband loved it too! Kelly is trained in precision cutting and is a total perfectionist, and it shows in her work! If I lived here, I would definitely be a regular!

I got a perm from John Moore yesterday and I LOVE it!! With quick, kind service and wonderful results I'm definitely go back! It's very hard to find a good, well priced perm. I wanted lots of curls and got exactly what I asked for. I did go to consultations at other salons but they just didnt have the right vibes. I'm so glad I went with J Bauman!

I went to a salon a few days ago to change my hair color. I wanted the red Scarlet Johansson has in the avengers movie. The girl that did it only made it into a very dark weird copper color. I hated it. I went back the next day to get it fixed. She put red in my hair and not only did it not take to my brown hair on the bottom part but it was nowhere close to the color she said it should be. I looked up salons on google and found this one. Marisa was the one that worked on my hair. She is a miracle worker!! Despite the fact that I had three different colors in my hair that were recently put in, she was able to remove those colors and give me the color I wanted originally. I am super happy with my hair now and so grateful to Marisa. Also the staff are super friendly and the prices extremely reasonable.

I have been to the salon now twice and I'm very pleased with the services I have received both times. I have found that I am not made to wait for my appointment time as in other places. The hairdresser has been spot-on about the style I have requested. The staff at the counter is very pleasant and helpful. They do have a variety of times available to accommodate my schedule. Both my appointments have been with Sarah and she has done a wonderful job every time. Although a bit pricier than your Strip Mall hair salon, you do get what you pay for and in this case it is better quality.

I absolutely love Sarah! She is a fantastic colorist and hair stylist. My hair was in trouble and she came to the rescue! The salon is wonderful. Always clean, with a great receptionist. They always offer a beverage and I always accept: wine! Their magazines are always current which is fun because it's the only time I ever read a real magazine. Their hours are also great and work well with my work schedule.

I went and saw John and it was not a good experience for me. I brought pictures of what I wanted and he did not even look at them. Only half of my roots were highlighted (I got a full foil) and the other half was my natural color so it looked weird. Not worth over 200$. I won't be returning.

Let me start off by saying how I NEVER write reviews. On anything. But I felt like this is one of those places where you can't help but love complimenting. Today was the first time I've ever been to this place, and I'm glad to know that I've finally found a great salon who takes in account of how to not only make their customers feel extremely comfortable but also take in account to exactly what you want done. I had a bad hair color experience a few days ago, and I called these people in after my friend told me about them. The lady who spoke to me on the phone was extremely helpful and very sweet. Even when I walked in this morning, I was helped right away. Katrina, the one who was working on my hair was probably the BEST stylist I've ever had. I loved just how much she changed my hair and fixed it to look exactly how I wanted. Definitely found the best place around :) Not changing anymore !

Just got my haircut by Sarah V. Not only is she a absolute doll her ability to do such a drastic cut and perfect it is amazing. I had medium length hair and went to a shaved pixie. It is exactly what I wanted. The staff there are all so nice. This is the best salon I have ever been too. If your looking for a salon I highly recommend this place. After doing so much research to find a good place I'm happy I chose this one.

After being unable to schedule with my previous stylist, I took a leap of faith ( with the help of Google, Yelp and Facebook ) and discovered J. Bauman salon. I was certainly ready for a major change and have always had a few cuts with a new stylist before I do anything drastic. Did I mention "leap of faith" ? I explained to Neisjah what I was looking for and she was able to deliver the EXACT LOOK ! She provided me with a few styling pointers and I am able to style my hair at home and look like I just walked out of the salon. If I could give her more than 5 stars, I would !
