I had highlights and a cut by Emily, and a prenatal massage by Jo. Emily was extremely patient trying to get my hair to blonde even though I had multiple layers of previous color. This was my first prenatal massage laying on my side, and I was amazed how relaxing it was in comparison to the stomach positioned one I had elsewhere. Being firefly weekend you could hear some outside noise from the highway, but you couldn't hear anything in the salon. Thank you again, I'll definitely be back in to see these ladies.

I moved to Smyrna from Wilmington a year-and-a-half ago. I noticed after living here a while that there aren't many hair salons (there's like *NONE* around here). For a year I continued to drive to Hockessin to have my hair cut, but finally I decided enough was enough and I needed to find a hair salon in Kent County. Upper Cut was recommended to me by someone I work with and I went for the first time yesterday. I LOVED my experience. The hair stylists are sophisticated and friendly. The women at the front desk are beautiful, yet have no pretension. (I can't tell you how long I have put up with snooty behavior of reception desk hair salon employees in New Castle County - I know some of you know what I'm talking about!!!) Destiny cut my hair (fine, straight hair, cut in layers) and it's absolutely perfect. Elizabeth washed my hair and gave me a fabulous scalp massage. It's scary going to a new salon and being afraid your hair is going to get screwed up. I'm happy to say that I recommend this salon without hesitation. These stylists know what they're doing and the owner has done a fabulous job of putting together a high quality, professional salon.

The Upper Cut is a great salon! The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is light and fun and you can tell when you first walk in that they are all pros. They take their time with the shampoo which feels great! I see Destiny and she is very good! She knew exactly what I wanted and actually executed it. I will continue to use this salon as long as I live here!

Horrible men's haircut. I asked for a fade, not only was it not cut properly but she took a chunk of hair out of my longer hair on top. Never Again.

Staff was friendly but I got a terrible cut. I specifically called and asked for someone who excels in men cuts and clearly they gave me the newest person there and told me she was the best. 3 more months of growing my hair out to get it where it needs to be. Frustrating because I just got it where it needed to be from a previous bad cut. I will never go here again. If you can't cut from looking at a picture, you shouldn't be cutting hair at all.
