I have had a couple of good haircuts here however my bad experiences overshadow those. My first bad experience was when I had to wait 15 minutes after my appointment start time, the lady had a horrible negative attitude, and my hair looked like the person who had cut it had never cut hair before. I called the owner to see what she could do about the situation and most of the conversation was her praising the hair stylist and how what I was saying was impossible. She said “What do you want me to do? I can’t give you your hair back.”, and similar statements for a couple minutes until she eventually offered me a free hair cut the next time I were to go in. The next bad experience was when I went to get a haircut with someone that I made an appointment with and the stylist was still at home and hadn’t showered yet. This is the first time I’ve found it necessary to leave a bad review on Google because I hope to help prevent these experiences with someone else.

I've always had my hair styled by my aunt, who works in a high end salon in NJ. I needed a hair cut, but didn't have time to go to her. I went to Mark IV extremely nervous about having someone who wasn't family cut my hair (plus I had heard horror stories of my friends getting their haircut in Newark at other salons)...but it turned out fantastic! Olga squeezed me in between appointments as a walk-in and the entire staff was so polite and welcoming. I've been back several times since then and plan on going there as long as I'm in DE!

I just happen to drop in one day to see if I could get an appointment because of a referral from a friend. Everyone there was so nice and accommodating. I got in that day with Kelly. She spent time with me to figure out what direction I wanted to go. She was great to make suggestions but let me call the shots. It’s taken me a long time to find the right person to cut my hair. Mark IV Salon offers many services and they are professional, knowledgable, creative. Glad I stopped in. Would highly recommend.
