This place is amazing! The owners are always friendly and ready to take care of whatever you may need. They are incredibly involved in the community and the atmosphere is just so inviting. Every time you’re in the studio you can feel this vibe that makes your day brighter by the time you have left. J. Christian and his team are always top notch. I’ve been a client of J. I went to J Christian's Studio today on a whim. Everything about my visit start to finish was top notch. From the moment I walked in, I was treated as a special guest. My stylist Jamie took the time to listen to what I wanted, viewed pictures of me in many past styles and colors and then offered her professional suggestions on how I could look my best.The atmosphere is relaxing. I see professionals for their professional opinion and expertise, and I was not disapointed!

They strive for excellence, and it’s appearant the moment you walk through the doors of their clean, inviting, and ever-evolving salon, where creativity shines through. They’re also Hockessin’s all-time philanthropists, creating events, and spending countless hours to raise money for local non-profit organizations. The worst part of leaving this review, is that Google only allows 5 Stars, but here’s a few more to add to it to make it more accurate: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Thank you J. and Marcy for what you bring to our little village, and for being terrific, highly skilled, and caring people. You and your business are wonderful assets!

I have been going to J Christian since he and Marcy opened the doors. Quite frankly, I would never allow anyone else to touch my hair. J is the consummate professional! He stays ahead and on top of trends by travelling to learn (and to TEACH!) from his colleagues and Masters of his craft - of which HE IS! As a business owner myself, it is clear to see he runs a tight ship and is incredibly meticulous with his and is business' reputation and who he welcomes into his circle. He opens himself, his knowledge and his experience to help his stylists grow and thrive. I've watched it for 12 years! Not all are cut out to work with one as masterful and knowledgeable as J is. And that's ok. J is an artist and amazing hair is his craft. I've been to salons up and down the East Coast, and J Christian is the best and the last one I will trust my hair to. J and Marcy are the BEST!

J and Marci have a well run salon in a small town with lots and lots of personal referrals. They take the time to get to know you on a personal level; ask about your family, remember the small details. That's important in this day and age. They treat my daughters wonderfully and I never have a problem getting them in on a moment's notice. I would highly recommend this salon to friends, neighbors, colleagues.

I have been going to this salon for over 10 years, and it is the longest I have EVER stayed with a single salon. I love what they do to my hair. Sometimes I know what i want, and sometimes I don't -- but either way, I always leave loving what they do. Everyone there is professional and friendly -- it's not like going to a regular salon -- more like going to a friend's house to relax and get pampered! On another note, I know of NO other businesses in the Hockessin/Pike Creek area that does so much for the surrounding community. They don't just invest in their business---they invest in their customers and their community --will never go anywhere else!!

Just visited this salon last week, and I literally have nothing bad to say about the experience. The customer service was impeccable, along with the tremendous about of care and attention to detail JC’s stylist gave me. They really listen to you and deliver exactly what you ask for. They cut your hair dry, so you know exactly what the finish product’s going to look like after the wash. I HIGHLY recommend JC and his stylist to anyone looking for a professional hair cut, along with a professional experience. I’ll definitely be coming back when it’s time for another hair cut.

I've been going to J Christian Studio for 6-7 years now, and J Christian (Jay) himself works on me. He really knows my skull! :) Sometimes I know exactly what I want in a haircut and color, and other times I just say, "Go nuts: do whatever!" It's especially cool when I show up and he shows me photos of a hair cut/color that he thought would look good on me. How cool is that? No matter which approach we're taking, I'm always happy with how it turns out. The salon's atmosphere is funky, upbeat, and hip, but still welcoming, warm, and comfortable. Everything is very clean. I also love that when I walk in the door (or once I sit in the chair) I can enjoy a nice glass of wine or even a cup of coffee (with a cookie... om nom nom)... can't argue with that! Jay is also a veteran, and I support veteran-owned businesses whenever I can. His wife Marcie also works there (she's on the business side), and together they are generous. Their company gives so much back to the community via charitable events, donating salon services, and even teaching new Dads how to style their daughters' hair as they grow. ProTip: Jump on their mailing list and you'll get lots of goodies via email! Go there-- you'll be happy you did. You will look and feel fabulous!

This is a professional salon with several key focuses - they care about their client base, continuing education in the industry, quality of the products they use, and giving back to the community just to name a few. I highly recommend J Christian Studio to friends & family and the many people who have stopped me over the years to compliment me on my hair. I always leave the salon with a great cut and color, feeling beautiful.

Following my nail tech, I came to J Christian Studio in 2006-07 and asked him for help with my chemo baldness. This time however, when my nail tech moved on, I stayed. I enjoy everything about J and his wife Marcy and their philoshy of their place in this area, state and world. They often host projects to help area needs, i.e. a crime left an area dance studio short of rent money so J and Marcy hosted a fund raiser. I also enjoy hearing of J's work with the Sexy Hair folks in Denmark and other areas. But the primary reason one goes to a particular salon is not because of their ethics, their business associates or travel. I come to the J Cristian Studio because I like the way J does my hair. I like a sort of funky cut that leaves other stylists scratching their heads and giving me a traditional short cut. As long as I can find them, I will be a steady.

Natasha R. is an excellent stylist with many international licensees. She has been doing my hair, my moms, husbands and kids hair for years now! She has converted my hair from "plain virgin hair" to excellently coloured with extra care about the health of my hair every time. She is very detailed about her work and has suggested a new hairstyle on several occasions thats has never dissapointed me! She has done my lash extensions and henna brows numerous times and i get compliments ALL the time!!! Her work is excellent and I will never go to another stylist for any of my beauty needs! If you come here definately ask for Natasha R! You will not regret your decision!

It was so nice to find someone that understood curly hair that I have been using J Christian for around 17 years. You see a lot while sitting in the chair. What I have seen is: He treats every client like family, he expects the best from his staff and is ALWAYS their advocate, he is super knowledgeable and the other clients love coming to the salon because of the positive atmosphere.
