Friendly staff! Tricia is so knowledgeable about skin care and took the time to educate me on how to acheieve the results I'm looking for. She did a phenomenal job reshaping and tinting my eyebrows. As a busy mom and business owner, the less maintenance the better and that's exactly what Tricia is helping me with. She is also amazing with makeup. Thank you so much! Great first experience!

She is so detailed oriented and thorough, so I knew I was in good hands. She took the time to give me the exact hair look I was going for, and it completely boosted my confidence. She recommended me products that transformed my hair completely. I love their prices- the most reasonably priced cut I’ve ever gotten in Connecticut but I was always hesitant to spend on the treatments. Thanks for a fantastic job! Finally found a salon that services all my needs. With my busy schedule they are very flexible, many times rearranging my appt because of a last minute meeting. Melanie, my stylist, has come up with some fantastic ideas to keep me looking younger with up to date styles. The salon is very comfortable and having my hair done is now more relaxing than a hassle. Highly recommend going at least once and checking it out.

What a great place! I have been trying to find a place to get a great men's haircut for a long time. This is it! Even as it grows in, the shape is maintained. And they do a hot straight razor shave, which is very hard to find today! This is a rare gem in the center of CT! Awesome!

The salon excels at superb customer service and always makes me feel welcome. The new location is great and has a very hip, contemporary feel. Really basic cut requested for bangs, and got a pretty terrible job done. The person who did my hair was very inexperienced, with only a year under her belt, but still... I'm surprised by the high reviews here, because my experience was so all-around poor. The starting cut was too short, she didn't seem to understand that curly hair is much shorter once dry, nor offered to do a dry cut on pre-styled hair, which I'd always seen as an option if how hair lies once styled is in question. It looked like a 90's bowl cut across my head, and didn't understand the concept of blending or angling the front to prevent the mushroom-cap look. It was higher on the left than the right as well - god, it was pretty bad. It was pretty awful. I "fixed" it at home by creating some blending and trying to even it out, but if I'd known I'd do a better job myself, with zero training and not a great eye or any talent eith scissors, I wouldn't have paid money. I was hoping to get them done profession ally because it's right on my face... at the moment I look like Garth from Waynes World and am trying to have a sense of humour about it, but wanted to warn others. Ask for someone who is tried and true at this place, at the VERY least.

Rebecca D cut my hair and gave me exactly what I wanted with some guidance since I am so very indecisive. I also had to head to the gym and asked for 2 French braids instead of a blow out and she very adeptly obliged with two VERY NEAT braids. Living proof products were used from start to finish and in my experience with hair products these make my hair look and feel the healthiest. The facility is clean and the location is straddled by two restaurants do you can go for lunch before or after your visit!

I made an appointment based on the great reviews of this salon and had an exceptional experience there. I travel with my job so I brought my color formula but asked if they could help the bit of "brassy" tone that I was noticing. Absolutely spot on results. Then whatever they used on my hair for conditioning was amazing. The softness was so noticeable. My hair is very grey at the top and getting a nice warm brown has not been easy, but they worked magic here. I agree with the comments that this is a very enjoyable and professional salon with service above and beyond. Looking forward to another appointment here.

I went here in preparation for a wedding. The staff is amazing, really nice and chill. They are super easy to talk to. Hair was good too, one of the workers was at the wedding just in case to help if something went wrong, which was bound to happen with the crazy rain weather. Though she was there mainly for the bride, she made time for me too. I recommend coming here.

I have always had bad experiences with having my hair done. No one every cut it right and always took too much off. I called this place and they got me in right away and it was the BEST hair cut I have ever had and exactly what I wanted. She took away the dead/ split ends and kept my length. I have gone there three times now! My second visit I had a clear glaze done and my hair reacted weird to it and turned a light gold color when I am naturally dark brown hair. I called to let them know and they had me come in and fixed it for me right away. They always fit me in when I call and I have never had my hair look so good! Great service!

new location, but same great people! i've been a customer since the beginning of THCC (about 16 years) and have always had an excellent experience. staff is not only highly talented, but extremely friendly too. the new location is really nice with a lot of free parking. the time i saved by not having to hunt for parking more than made up for the couple of minutes down the road from the old spot.

Coming to the Hair Color Company & Spa in Farmington, CT totally changed my view on the salon experience. I was a tried and true Super Cuts customer. I was a fan of paying $15 and going in on Sundays to get my hair done. Then my whole world changed when I met Marta and learned about the Hair Color Company & Spa. When I walked through the door, I was greeted and an associate helped me hang up my coat. Then, Marta came out and asked me if I wanted a glass of wine. Which of course I did. My hair was washed and Marta asked me about my hair, what did I want to do, did I have anything new/different in mind. I didn’t because my first hair cut there was so awesome. My second hair cut was also terrific and I was able to use a 20% off coupon – even better! Plus, they are open on Sundays! The appointment reminder mechanism is nice – you can select to receive reminders via phone call, text, or email. Also, Mary, the manicurist is a real person – I didn’t have to read my magazine and zone out (only if I wanted to). But Mary and I had an incredible conversation and I truly enjoyed my time there.
