Overpriced for bad results

My life has changed since finding Salt. As an artist (oil painting), I can be a bit OCD, with very particular ideas of how things should be, and expect perfection. I spent years in NY and had many *great* colorists. None hold a candle to Kristina. Kristina has always listened to my crazed/OCD wants and needs, executed them flawlessly, while sending me out with my dream hair color that is in better condition than I could have ever dreamed of! I drive two hours each way for my appointments and it is worth every single minute. She listens, works with me, is a pleasure to spend time with, and also gently guides me through the process it takes to get my naturally dirty blonde hair to the tow-headed vision I dream of. The salon is gorgeous- modern, comfortable, and without an ounce of pretension. Every single person who works there is friendly and welcoming. The space is chic, with great natural light, modern “live edge” wood stations, a light and clean bohemian ambiance that feels fresh and current- all the while exuding the personality of the owner, Jamie. My only complaint? That they’re not closer to where I live. And that’s not their fault- it’s mine. And I really should figure out a way to relocate! If they were any closer I would bring back the great habit of women getting their hair washed & set weekly. The work is perfection, the space is inviting, the techniques are modern and cutting edge, and yet each and every person there makes you feel at home. If you want the best hair of your life you will make the time to be here.

Would give them no stars if I could there horrible they do not know how to color hair correctly and will overcharge you and won’t refund you even when they mess up your color do not go to this salon it’s not worth your money the manager also has a bad attitude

Not only is this salon filled with incredible talent , it is bursting with the nicest people. Even if you’ve been going to your stylist for years they treat every visit as though it were your first. They take the time to check in with you & make sure you’re happy. Christine Turek is such a bright light. She’s so incredibly talented , knowledgeable & kind. Their Guest specialist Nick is the best. He is hilarious & so easy to talk to. Not only do I love this salon I know if you went you would too. So happy I found them.

To leave paying over 400 dollars for my hair I would expect to leave with my hair actually looking different and feeling good. But I got the opposit with my service , I left with my hair only one shade lighter and still distinct banding. I called and asked if my hair could be fixed or refunded , no one asked for me to come in they told me the service is what it is and since I left after my service there’s noting they where willing to do for me but welcomed me back to spend another 400 dollars for an additional service. These ladies are awesome scammers, talk a good game are charging top dollar for minimum effort

I had the amazing privilege of getting my hair done last October at this little piece of heaven on earth salon. The staff is so warm and welcoming, and the salon itself is the cutest little place I’ve ever seen. You can tell so much thought and love went into every detail. I had been coloring my hair essentially black for almost 10 years and I was ready for a change. During the consultation, I felt very “heard.” I was confident and relaxed the whole time. Jamie delivered such an amazing experience, from making me feel so welcomed, to good conversation, a relaxing shampoo w/hot towels and of course my stunning finished result that I was able to wear for MONTHS. Because of Jamie’s knowledge and skill, I left feeling like a dang celebrity, which meant everything to this tired mama who had felt very mediocre for a very long time. It was the best salon experience I’ve ever had, and I can’t wait to come back! ❤️

Amazing salon, Cristal is an incredible colorist, her attention to detail, knowledge and patience are priceless, and my experience far exceeded my expectations (which were set pretty high) The salon itself is beautiful, and everyone there is genuinely friendly and willing to go out of their way to make sure you're comfortable and enjoy the experience. I can't recommend Salt and Cristal highly enough!

Salt Hair was THE best salon experience I have had in the 20 years I've been getting my hair colored. From the mimosa when I walked in to the beautiful finished product, the staff went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and happy with the service. There's nothing like getting pampered and being in good hands, especially when it comes to your hair. I can proudly say I am and forever be a Salt babe. I have very dark hair and have had nightmare-situations with going too brassy and ruining the texture of my hair. Thanks to Kristen @all_dunne_up she's constantly nailed and achieved my #hairgoals.
