I had an appointment here on Friday, 9/4/19, at 4:45pm and I showed up on the dot. Not only was there no one at the front desk, I had to ask one of the hairdressers to come check me in. Not only did she not come over to check me in she said I could sit down and wait while she stayed with her client. Which is fine, I understand, people get busy and sometimes they are understaffed. But!!! I am not going to wait a full 30 mins for "Ashley" to gossip and blowdry a client's hair for that entire time. The experience was awful, I am never going to make another appointment to just sit around and wait. I would give it zero if I could.

Unbelievably thrilled! I've been getting "Ouidad" cuts for my curly hair the past couple years. I was looking for a change -a blown out look and din't want the expense of the Ouidad cut. I decided if I I was making a change I would like the salon closer to my home as well. I was not recommended by a friend to go to Salon V. I actually read all the reviews on line for salons on Black Rock Turnpike and chose Salon V from all others. I found my new hair stylist! The salon is beautiful and warmly decorated. The staff is professional and talented and dedicated to please. I don't usually rely on reviews. For sure i will now as I hair styling is so important and personal and I couldn't be happier! And guess what? I can still wear my hair curly with or without the "Ouidad" cut!

I recently had a cut and single process color with Michelle at Salon V and had a wonderful experience. She took time to listen and went through various color options with me to find out what I was looking for. I am very happy with both the cut and color and look forward to returning in the future! Terry explained what she suggested for my cut and why. She was professional and friendly. Later, when I thanked her for doing such a wonderful job, I added that I liked her leaving it “piecy” she replied it fits my upbeat personality. I thought that was nice. Additionally, there was a young “apprentice” nearby, for whom she explained some of the techniques she was using in a friendly manner. This was my first visit to Salon V, coming from Stratford. The atmosphere and staff are comforting. That along with getting a terrific hair cut, will prompt me to return! Thanks

I would give Rena @ Salon V *ten* stars if I could! Rena has been coloring and cutting my hair for over a year now. I cannot emphasize how excellent she is. She accommodates my schedule whenever she can, occasionally working on her day off just to do my hair. Rena's color sense and skill are superb - The best I've ever experienced. I receive compliments on my hair color all the time! I have been having my hair colored for nearly 20 years, and it has never looked so good. I have patronized many salons, especially having moved from state to state in past years as well as from town to town within Connecticut. After several subpar experiences in the Fairfield/Stratford/Milford area, I was delighted to find Salon V in Fairfield. Rena pays exceptional attention to detail, and she really listens to my preferences regarding styling and cut. She is thorough and meticulous throughout every aspect of each service. Rena is always pleasant and professional...and she never forgets the names and birthdates (!!) of my children and grandchildren. If my previous occupation of Rena's chair happened to be just prior to a special occasion, she remembers the event upon my next visit and never fails to ask if I had a good time. Jackie has done my color a couple of times, as well, and the results have been excellent. At Salon V, customers always are offered a beverage, and the entire venue is sparkling clean, including the rest room. All of the products are top-notch.

I love this salon! The atmosphere is warm and inviting and all of the staff are such nice people. Rena has been my stylist for the past 3 years, I always get highlights in the summer and they come out amazing! She also does a great job transitioning my hair when I go darker in the fall/winter months. I look forward to my time at the salon and always leave there happy!

They did my daughters haircut and it came out amazing. She lived her stylist and the salon itself is very hospitable. They even offered us water, coffee, and juice! We will definitely be back!

If I will be able not mark any star I will do it! I had a consultation before my service was performed. I clearly explain what I want to do, I show Christina picture with ash gray hair and nice straight cut medium length hair. My hair is quite dark and I knew it's not possible to achieve this look for one visit. She surprised me when she said "she will be able to reach ash gray during 1st visit which will take about 3 -4 hours." I sat there almost 4hours and she did not achieve what she promised me! I saw that she wasn't satisfied with the color, she try use glaze to fixed the color ...but my hair still not was ash gray! Ash gray looked more like a green color in the natural light, I think she bleached my hair and as a result now my hair is very dry and burnt with a green tone. I'm so disappointed with the final effect. Also she trimmed ends of my hair and they look like someone cut them who doesn't have any experience. At the end I was charged for very poor service, for damaged hair $ 150! After all was done I didn't hear any apology only I was sent away to another person in this salon, which was supposed to improve the appearance of my hair for another $$$! Of course after such experience no one would be able to trust the people working there. In my opinion, I shouldn't be asked to pay for such a service. Be aware.

Rena is the reason I keep returning to Salon V.! She is timely, professional, personable, and does excellent color and highlights, and gives one heck of a haircut. She is honest and never tries to upsell, but rather always knows what she needs to do to make your hair look refreshed natural, and healthy. I always leave the salon feeling rejuvenated and pretty again!! Not to mention, I always feel that I'm talking to my best friend or sister when I am with her. I'm a bit of a hair cut chicken. I've had too many lousy cuts over as many years and have been hesitant to try anyone new after my trusted stylist moved out of state. I've gone over 2 years with anything more than one bargain cut just to take off the dead ends. I met Michelle out and about one afternoon and we talked about my hair, my concerns and my deep desire to maintain my hair length, which is probably way longer than most professionals would deem to be ideal for me. I went home and booked an appointment almost immediately. Salon V is beautiful. I love the very private and very classy styling stations. Michelle took the time to listen to what I wanted and respected my wishes for keeping length but giving me shape and style versatility. We discussed future tactics to update my look (baby steps) and then Sam stepped in and gave me a perfect blow out and told me what to do to maintain the look for a couple of days. I booked my next appointment and an appointment for my hippie chick almost 11 year old daughter to get her a new rockin' style for her birthday. I found a new, comfy home for my hair needs and look forward to seeing what kind of tricks Michelle has up her sleeves.

After many years with another salon in Fairfield with lately very disappointing results, I started an online search for someone new. I found Salon V. My first attraction to it was because they provided bios of all the stylists and the good reviews. I chose Michelle. Long story short, I went in a mess color-wise and style-wise and came out transformed. Michelle's knowledge and expertise were very obvious and something I honestly had not experienced before. I have been getting compliments on my new look-what makes you feel better than that! Bottom line, best color and cut I ever received, lovely staff, beautiful salon, convenient location, comparable prices. Just had my second appointment and am still very very pleased. They did a beautiful job on my sister's hair, and it made her feel young and pretty again. For a 87 year old woman, the attention given to her was splendid. And, as her 83 year old baby brother, seeing her happy makes me feel happy as well.
