I originally scheduled a haircut but she had mentioned balayage before my appointment which I had never heard of, but I looked into it and decided to try something different for a change. I’m so happy with my hair and the way it came out. The color is beautiful. Everyone there was friendly and helpful, and the salon itself is very clean and welcoming. I’d highly recommend Salon Nathaniel to anyone, whether you’re just getting a haircut or want a completely different style!

I had an amazing experience at Salon Nathaniel today. I was looking for a salon that’s open on Mondays and stumbled across them on FB. My hair stylist was Mersiha, and she was AMAZING. She really listened to me and gave me exactly what I was envisioning and more. This was the best hair color/cut I have ever gotten. I can’t wait to go back in 5 weeks! Love Nate and the ladies. They take care of the whole family. Men's cuts are reasonably priced. My wife tends to buy products when she's there which obviously raises the price, but I feel like her services are also reasonably priced. Hit up Jenna, she's my and my son's go to and shes AMAZING!!!

I had a very unfortunate experience at another salon and was looking for a salon to do a color correction. Another stylist colored my hair black and I mean black with very uneven panels of a lighter brown. It looked really bad. I did a lot of searching online and called many salons hoping that I can find a salon that will fix my hair at a fair price. I was very happy to find Audrey who is a hair color magician. I found her while I was scrolling through Instagram and contacted her. She responded very quickly and a few hours later that same day I drove up to Meriden for a consultation. She was extremely thorough during the consultation. I was very nervous given that just a few days earlier another stylist completely messed my hair up and she really did her best to calm me down. She was very good at explaining everything to me and I mean everything. I needed things to be explained in normal terms since I do not know all these terms like what is a glaze vs a toner and do I want warmth in my hair? No clue what any of that means. There were a few instances in which she would ask me a question and she saw that I hesitated because I didn't know what she was asking. Instead of asking it again or waiting for me to respond she would give me more details and explain what she is asking so that I can give her an informed response instead of guessing or thinking that I am responding with what I want but in reality I am saying something completely different. Audrey took the time to explain everything to me and ensured that she knows what I want and that I understand everything. Some notable mentions are that parking was very simple. They have a lot in the front so parking isn't an issue. As far as pricing goes it isn't the cheapest salon but I would say it was priced fairly. Need to pay an appropriate amount to get a good result. Additionally they do use Redken and Pureology products so they aren't using cheap products on your hair and the results show that. I am very happy with the result I got. I had the color done about 2 weeks ago and have washed my hair a few times and it still looks wonderful. I will definitely return to this salon and to this stylist. Thank you Audrey :)

Awesome salon!!!!!! Nathaniel is unbelievably talented. I have found that Nate and the team are by far the most talented stylists that I have ever been around!!! ( I know a lot of stylists and my mom is one too.) Its a friendly fun, stylish salon thats clean, offers amazing product line and coffees, beverages and a welcoming place! I have recommended friends and family and Salon Nathaniel has also earned their business back. Happy customer here! Ps. I have had jet black hair to platinum and everything in between. So I appreciate even more a stylist and team who understands how to get me through a major hair color transition while maintaining the health integrity of my hair and getting me to my desired color. Sometimes it's about finding a place that makes you feel great!! I am stuck 7 years +...

My color only lasted 8 days & you could clearly see it was 2 different colors right after it was done . My roots were more red and about 3 inches down you can see where it switches to brown. 3 weeks after I got it done I was told I could come in and get it fixed for free. Well I ended up not being able to make my appointment because of a family emergency.. so I asked to reschedule and I was told I could come in on 2/28, the day I was originally supposed to come back to get it recolored if I wished, but I would have to pay because "it's been so much time in between your last reservation".. which I understand and I get it, but either way, the time doesn't matter. It has already completely faded out..and I should add, I only washed my hair 1 time in those 8 days with the Redken shampoo and conditioner they sold me nonetheless. I paid $91 for the service, (which was half price...so if it were full price, I would have paid $182.. thank God it wasn't) a 20% tip, and like $20 on a shampoo and conditioner. So total it was like $136. I'm not made of money.. that was a lot for me and I feel like I completely wasted it when I could have used it for something useful like bills.. This is the first time I've ever gotten my hair professionally colored and it was just not a good experience. If I ever go anywhere again, it'll be First Impressions in Bristol, CT. Furthermore, when I called and spoke with Nathaniel, the owner, I was informed that the dye was demi-permanent.. well that was the first time I was told that. Never did I say I wanted that, and I was under the impression it was permanent.. I was also talked down to as if I was a child. He was making it out to sound like I didn't know how to formally deal with a complaint, when I do and I was never rude to anyone until I was told I would have to pay again. At that point, I made this review. He belittled me and told me "if I'm unhappy I should go to the owner or manager" obviously I know that. I went through my stylist, Audrey, because she was my friend and I thought she would help me fix it and I felt more comfortable dealing with her since she's the one who did it, so clearly she would have a better understanding of the situation than the owner. I was told there was nothing he could do for me and that I couldn't have a refund and then I was hung up on. Honestly I'm very upset by this whole ordeal. My feelings are very hurt and I feel as though I did nothing wrong. I drove 40 minutes to this salon, sat there for 3 hours, AND gave a 20% tip... I'm not made of money. That was a lot for me. I feel like the whole thing was handled wrong. I'm NOT a rude person and I have never left a negative review in my life... I just feel very wronged.

I had been going to the same hairdresser for over twelve years. I've been searching for a new hairdresser because it was time. As a female, it is very difficult to find folks who can cut short hair. Reanna was AMAZING! The entire place was very friendly, welcoming, and the customer service was ON POINT. This was the BEST 1st haircut w/ a new hairdresser EVER! I'd like to be selfish and tell ya'll to stay away but the world deserves to look and feel as good as I do. So call 'em up and get yo' beautiful Self, more beautiful ;-)

For years I had tried numerous salons looking for one that would on a consistent basis provide excellent service and meet my requests as a client. When I first started to go to Salon Nathaniel, I needed major color correction, but didn't have a stylist I could trust. My friend highly recommended Salon Nathaniel to me. I was informed that I had to be patient with the process, as I wanted it done right, but they promised they would get my hair to the place I wanted it to be, while being happy with each step of the process along the way. I have been going to this salon for over 3 years now and can say that every time I walked out the door, I left very happy with the results. If there was a minor tweeking that was needed, the team was happy to make those adjustments ensuring my satisfaction with the services. The enviroment of the salon is upbeat, happy, inviting and professional. Truly an AMAZING salon!!!
