For Christmas my aunt had given me an all day beauty treatment. massage, nails, eyebrows, and haircut, like any girl would love. I wasn't the biggest fan of the massage, but everything else was fantastic. I came out that salon looking like a model. The nail stylist was so nice and easy to talk to and she did a wonderful job. my eyebrows were absolute perfection. And my favorite part was my haircut. My stylist was friendly but a little shy and was very new to Adam Broderick. I got and A line which is where it was really short in the back and long in the front and some nice side bangs. I would defiantly suggest going here to get a haircut. And if you would like a nice pamper, everything else is good too. My only problem is expenses but this place is worth every cent.

It's a nice salon if your going to get a cut and color like every 6 weeks but it's really overpriced. Around $400 for a cut and color, plus all the stuff they try to sell you. The stylists are pushy about what they want to do with your hair..they don't seem to care what you want. The stylist kept pushing layers but my wife wasn't the least bit interested. Another time I took her there to get her hair done for the prom. The woman gave my wife ringlets when she asked for beachy waves and kept insisting her hair curler could melt tires. Very weird! My wife also got her hair bleached and her hair has been damaged in the back ever since. Supercuts does a better job and that's just sad. The stylist at Supercuts was more knowledgeable by far. They do have a nice children's area but again like I said the salon is overpriced. If you want to go to a salon..pay more than you should , get a haircut you don't really like and is high maintenance/ and/or damaged hair, and deal with click stylists who are clearly in comoetition you should go here. So in summary avoid this place like the plague or you will be sorry. They have a really nice presentation but don't be fooled or you will be crying in your car for an hour after your done. Trust and believe that!

I came a few times for eye brow waxing and mani/pedis and had good experiences until the last time I was there I ended up having to be seen by a dermatologist after that waxing. Not fun and they are pretty pricey too!

I'm an older woman and I'm a little bit fussy about my hair. (ok, full disclosure) I'm fussy about a lot more than my hair. In short, I can be a pain. I moved to Southbury and due to the amount of distance to my previous hair dresser, it was not practical to travel. And really, it's not like I make a living off my looks so I had to just get over myself. I took a chance, based on a recommendation and I could not be happier. Gabi is not only delightful to speak with, she is a fantastic stylist. She listened, she asked questions and I love what she did. Gabi is all about precision. AND when she washes my hair I get the best scalp massage. Oh...and let me also mention that there is wine. Did I mention the wine? Anyone that greets me with a smile (every time) hands me a gown and a glass of wine gets my vote for best salon. Truly, from the front of the house (phone folks too) receptionists, stylists and assistants, it's fun, upbeat and the very best in customer service. The salon is clean and comfortable. Couldn't be happier. I"m glad I took a chance. Thank you Gabi! Thank you Adam Broderick. Terry - a grandma in Southbury.

Upon entering AB for a drop in men's cut I was greeted warmly by the receptionist and booked in immediately. They set me up with Greg, the salon's Master Men's Stylist, and I will be going back. Greg gave me the best cut I have had in a long time. He fixed the mess the last stylist(from another salon) had left sitting on top of my head and delivered a new and improved style for me to rock. Adam, the owner, also checked in after my cut was finished to introduce himself and welcome me to the salon. The service and quality at AB Southbury was nothing short of fantastic and I would recommend them to anyone. Thank you to Greg and the rest of the staff at AB!!!

I had an appointment at the spa today for 2:30 PM. When I made the appointment, I was instructed to arrive 15 minutes early which I did. This is an hour and 10 minute drive for me and I had to find a babysitter. I was excited to have some time to myself. I was planning to get the sea weed treatment which as a note is $155 service, so it is not inexpensive. I arrived at 2:15, had a seat and now it's 230 and no one came out. 245 comes and goes. Now it's 255. I've now been sitting there for 40 Minutes. No I came out to check on me, and I had to go to the front desk twice to ask what the delay was. Each time, they gave me a story about how the massage therapist was making up the bed. At 2:55, now realizing I would not be able to get out of here on time or enjoy the service after 40 minutes of sitting there wasting my time, I decided to leave. I find it extremely unprofessional when a company assumes that their time is more valuable than mine. Effectively , I paid my babysitter for my sitting around their salon for 40 minutes.I'm sure there's other uses that I can find for that money. Never mind the time and gas that it took to drive out to the salon. While I do understand the companies run late, I find it extremely unprofessional that they did not call me in advance to let me know they were running late and confirm if that was acceptable with my schedule. I get very little time off and was very disappointed to have wasted it coming to this location. So much for a pleasant and relaxing afternoon. I suggest booking an appointment with a company that can figure out how to keep Appointments. When you're charging clients $150-$200 for service, we expect more.

They fit me in to help me get ready for an event, then adjusted my appt due to car troubles. Jocelyn was amazing and very helpful and energetic. She did a fabulous job with the shampoo massage-truly delicious- then she found a beautiful job with blow dry and style. I was pleasantly relaxed despite a crazy day and ready to enjoy my event. I really appreciate how they worked with me to help me feel special!
