I was so excited for my appointment today, however it sadly ended in double disappointment. I'll start by saying the staff seemed friendly, my hairdresser seemed like a sweet person, and I liked that they give you a tour and welcome envelope as a new customer, also the salon is nice, clean, good products, and comfortable chairs for washing hair. Disappointment #1: Everything seemed like it would be good, but then we started talking about what I wanted done. I'd called the day before saying I wanted a trim (wash/cut/style) which was $32, and just a glaze without doing color, which they said was $17 and if they needed extra if my hair was longer then it could be an additional $17 - so I was expecting $49-$66 plus tip. I also asked about color and highlights pricing in case I wanted that at some point and she said then it would be $49 additionally for that, but if I only wanted the cut and glaze then it was $49 or $66 in total depending on how much glaze they needed. Unfortunately I was told something different once they had me there, they said the glaze is the same price as color or highlights at $49 plus the $32 haircut, and additional $17 for more glaze. I explained that I didn't want color or highlights today, just the glaze, and was quoted something different where they had assured me of the total price, which is why I'd chosen this place. So now I'm looking at close to double what I was expecting to pay. They apologized but would not honor what I was told so I ended up not getting what I wanted done because I wasn't prepared to pay an extra $50 bucks. Disappointment #2: I told her I needed volume, that my hair was fine and if you use certain products or don't blow dry volume at the roots it falls flat. Also she asked if I would want some loose waves for a style and I said sometimes if they are loose it can look weird in my hair, because it gets flat or ends up looking unfinished. She did them anyway instead of offering other options. Then she curled one side of my hair away from my face, and the other towards my face. ??? I kept telling her one side was going the wrong way making it look weird, but she insisted she was curling both sides away from my face until I mentioned it a few more times, then she said Oh! She realized she was curling one side the wrong way and started curling it the other way, which of course won't hold now because the same hair was getting curled in too many different directions - it fell flat and lifeless on the one side. She said the side of my hair was going to bug her because she couldn't fix the wave to go the right way, yet she ended up just leaving it looking horrible and asked if at least the cut felt ok. It wasn't, but I ended up just saying yes because I didn't want to upset her and was losing confidence that she could fix it. When I got home my husband agreed it did't look great. So disappointed. I have two parties to go to today and feel like I look horrible, will have to wash my hair again so I can style it myself and I don't have time for that. You should not have to leave a salon feeling this way. If I was the business owner or manager, I would have apologized and honored the price quoted this one time, explaining that next time it would be the other price, and assure the customer that they'll be sure to educate their staff to understand their pricing so this doesn't happen to anyone else. In the welcome envelope I was given a coupon for 20% off my next appointment if I scheduled it today with the same hairdresser, so I did, but honestly I'm debating whether to go back and give them one more shot, or not. Again, she was a nice person, I just don't like the way my hair was done - everything was exactly what I said I DIDN'T want. I had such high hopes for this place because it's close to home, seemed like it would be great, but I feel let down by the way things were handled. UPDATE: Gave them an extra star - the owner saw this and called to have me back in for them to fix it. I'll give them another chance, hopefully the experience will keep improving. To be continued...

Getting my hair done is very important to a woman, right? That's what I think. I recently went to the Yacht Club so excited since i have not had my hair done since my accident. Rolling up to the salon in a weel chair and back brace I just wanted a cut and color no matter what the cost was i wanted a really good dye anbd cut, ending up with what was not even close to what I wanted and my long locks butchered. My stylest was very nice but I think she was in a rush. What really upsets me is the way the situation tries to get fixed. A whole run around of phone calls back and forth and by The time I get an email its on how to discuss pricing. By this thime I have to go to a second surgery and take the whole experience as as lose.

This was my first visit, but surely not the last! The customer service was amazing from every staff member! I own a small business and customer service is right near the top of my list. It is so rare to get fabulous service virtually anywhere, so I was very pleased. I was given a welcome packet and a tour of the salon. Chelsea G was super! She was right on time (another important thing for me), she spent time consulting with me and was very interested in learning about what I wanted. She was professional and enthusiastic. My haircut turned out just like I wanted it! I would highly recommend her and the salon overall!

I have had my hair cut at the Yacht Club for years, from the time the salon was at the old location to date at the new salon. Through the years I have about the same hair style, but in resent years I have had my hair left a little longer, as I have one side of my hair trouble sum, as it wants to puff out, this is a problem for a man because there is less hair for the styles to work with, the stylist took this into account, even with this hair style change my hair looks just like I wanted when it was shorter and as it gets time for me to get another hair cut, it still looks neat even though it has a few weeks growth. This probably do the fact, I have used the same hair stylist most of the time and she knows the ins and outs of my hair, this is an advantage for the stylist and customer because you come home with your hair looking just like you want it. I requested a cut by Theresa but she wasn't going to be available so I got a haircut by Andrea Wallace and set another appointment after the cut. I would like to cancel that appointment. I have tried for a week to like this cut. I showed her pictures of the cut I wanted and told her the haircut I came in with was not a good one. I asked for a long layer with a nice feathered bang (showed her pictures). My hair still looks like it did from the last cut I got. She snipped a little off my ends and shortened the length a bit and gave me a heavy straight across bang. I'm older and that is not a flattering look. Now I have a flat wavy top and the bottom of my hair is heavily layered and it flip's and flops everywhere with no shape at all. I read the reviews and thought I would get a good cut but didn't. UPDATE: I realize the standard response from the Yacht Club is the response I received. I was out of town most of the week that is allowed in the time frame of the guarantee. It wasn't and isn't convenient to return so I won't be back. I shouldn't have to come back. I gave ample detail of the cut I was requesting. I would like a refund.

Absolutely amazing staff and services. I came in with triple box-bleached hair, a complete frazzled yellow and purple mess, and came out with a smooth, beautiful blond. My stylist, Natalie, is wonderful to talk to and knows exactly what she's doing. Every time I go in to get my hair lightened and cut, the other customers (and even some other stylists!) marvel at the color of my hair. It's a wonderful feeling! The atmosphere is relaxing and at no point during my initial color fix did I feel shamed or looked down upon. It's well worth the price.

Have had only positive experiences here. I only go in for a sport pedicure so I'm pretty low maintenance. The ladies are always friendly and I enjoy talking to them when I'm there. Lovely and clean shop. I love the level of cleanliness and that all tools and basins are completely sanitized between each client. Nothing ever touches my feet that hasn't been thoroughly and properly cleaned. Love the salon! Maybe one day I'll have a girlie streak and get my nails painted

Natalie was always good to me! Always flawless on my brows and nails. However the scheduling policy they have there is the WORST! The majority of the appointments I had scheduled they ALWAYS called or sent a text message reminding me, the last 2 times not at all, then the girl wants to play rude on the phone, this is NOT Beverly Hills lol! They offer alcohol but I don't drink so not enough to get me motivated to continue coming back. I have since found a salon that is closer to home with a better scheduling system and I get the same care and respect. If you want a great stylist, alcohol, and a horrible scheduling system this is your place! Good luck!

Had a haircut by Sydney. And while the salon itself is awesome, she butchered my hair. Sad to say this because she was super nice!! But I got home, and my hair was ONE INCH uneven from the other side. She styled it all curly before I left- which, I’ve never gotten styled like before. On retrospect, it seemed like a ploy for me not to notice. (Sad face.) It felt awkward, so I’ve dealt cause I wear it up for work anyway. I come from an amazing Redken salon in Norman, Oklahoma (that also has apprentice stylists). And I’m sad to say that I am crazy disappointed!! I’ll have to just go somewhere else in Boulder, and get my Redken products from my OK stylist when I visit. Peace out, Yacht Club!! ❤️✌️

I wanted to take a minute to let every woman know how amazing this salon is! From the minute I walked in I was treated well, the receptionist was so friendly and gave me a tour, the salon is beautiful! I was very nervous walking in as I have not let anyone touch my hair in over 2 years. I had a girl a little over 2 years ago take me platinum blonde in one day!! Needless to say I have very dark hair naturally almost black, I also had hair almost to my bum, I had so much breakage and was extremely upset about the services that I swore off ever going back to a salon. Anyway Jaime took so much time with me to explain what my hair truly needed to help with the HEALTH of my hair, she truly cared about helping me get my hair healthy again and that I can appreciate so much. I know it’s going to be a long process before I can have that beautiful balayage I desired but I left with something so much better, my hair felt like hair again and not like paper. I left with knowledge and a plan for my overall care. And not to mention my hair looks amazing, she was able to make that blonde closer to my natural color which is what I wanted for now. This salon cares about your hair, and happiness in the long run and I’ve been searching a while to find someone I trusted again!! So happy I will never go anywhere else. 5 stars well deserved. Side note the infinite monkey wine was amazing and my nails look beautiful! ❤️

It was my first time here and it really felt so welcoming, I usually never let people work on my hair since it’s so long and thick but Emily did such an amazing job! She made my hair feel so amazing and gave it a lot of volume and explained everything really nicely and she was so sweet, this place is so cute on the inside and very detail oriented, the prices are fair for what you receive. I got a hair cut with layers and texturized cutting off all my dead ends and also a deep condition, along with recommended bottles of shampoo and condition and only paid about 80$ with tip!

Hi, I am visiting this salon for years over 7 years. But I can tell lately changing hair stylist has changed in quality. They asking you for tip but your satisfaction is not questioned. You don't know what you got when you come home. I am not happy with my lately visit at all. DISAPPOINTED. Hairstylist was very nice, have nice conversation but I have to be honest. I am tired coming back to someone to fix it. It happens before. I fix my hair home and I told her about my last hair cut and being not that satisfied. Well Looks like I need to change stylist. Curly girls- check in to The Yacht Club. I wish I had found this place years ago!! I've gone to a few places but never been wowed by my results. Chaz was my stylist today- super friendly and talented stylist who knows the science behind hair care and color. I need a cut, all over color and opted for their personalized hair treatment. Definitely worth it- my hair is happy and so am I! They also do nails, makeup and facial hair removal services. Definitely a one stop salon!

I really wanted to like this place, but will not go back for a manicure again. Paid $39 for a shellac manicure with nail art and it looks terrible. Told them I had a few broken nails and no effort made to seal them. The edges looked awful and there were bubbles. I almost let it go, but then a few days later my slightly broken nails were getting worse and the break was in a place where it needed repair; cuttint or trimming was not an option. They offered a redo which I appreciated. While the second time the manicure looked fine. It took 1 hr 45 mins and then I did not get my nail art but I didn't want to stay longer so fine. I paid for something I didn't get but I thought at least my nails look ok for the semi formal event I had to go to. Less than 2 days later the polish was chipping. I called on Saturday morning told the receptionist my issue hoping to fix it before the event and she offered a have the manager call back. By the time I got a call back it was late and I couldn't chat and the manager offered to call a week later. So I went along with my chipped polish. It kept peeling off and I took it off the shellac myself four days after the redo. This is supposed to last 2 weeks. For that price I should have just gone to body and sole spa. I called heidi back before posting my review and never received a call back. Heidi u did not call me twice. Um in response to owner, I did tell them I had an issue with my nails and wanted redone because of my event, response was to have manager call me. No offer to put me on schedule. Instead of blaming the customer why don't you retrain your staff.

I came into Yacht Club Salon with a head of hair that I hated due to years of over processing and bleaching. 1) I have to thank Bobbi for setting me up an appointment with Ellie and 2) I cannot thank Ellie enough for restoring my hair. She was honest with me about the damage to my hair without being condescending and she never pushed me to buy anything that was out of my price range. I actually enjoyed the visits and consider her a friend as well as a stylist. I have never actually kept/ gone back to a stylist before because none had ever made me feel appreciated. After only 5 short months and four deep conditioners :)... I ended up moving from colorado to california and I can only hope to find another stylist with half the talent as Ellie and others at the Yacht Club Salon. You can bet I'll have an appointment at the salon when I come home to visit!

Just had my first pedicure here! It was great. The salon was nice, clean, and professional. I’m glad I found a place to become a repeat customer.

READ THIS BEFORE YOU MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. , Iam a single mother of 3 going through a divorce and went excited to change my look before starting real Estate school, when i first arrived everyone seemed nice, i made an appointment the day before and when the stylist pulled me back and discussed what i wanted done the quote she gave me was completely diffrent than what i got quoted over the phone, it was an extra 60.00 dollars, she explained that it was because she was a "higher level " stylist, that was disappointing to be decievied on the price however i figured i deserve a new look and was willing to go through with the price change, i proceeded to explain the vision i had for my new look witch was a light auburn carmel color , my hair was an ombre with brown on the top and the rest blonde, the stylist was amazingly nice and assured me it would look the way I wanted it or very close, i showed her pictures and explained it to her many times, she was extremely nice and assured me i would look fabulous, i enjoyed talking to her very much i opend up and told her about my divorce and starting real Estate school, so i expressed how excited i was for changing my look, well i guess she had another appointment and said there was 10mins left and someone else would finish it all that needed to be done was to rinse and style it, well she was ultra nice and seemed confident in her work that i trusted it would look great like she assured me, i trusted her confidence and proceeded to give her a 45.00 dollar tip without seeing the final product, so the other lady was ultra nice rinsed my hair and begin to dry it, i noticed immediately that it was way to dark, witch i had expressed to her i did NOT want, i started to feel upset and burst into tears explaining that this is not what i had wanted the woman took complete disregard telling me it would fade eventually, the manager/owner saw that i was upset and came to talk to me, i explained that this looked nothing like what i had told the stylist i wanted, she had a very un compassionate attitude towards me, telling me my hair looked fine, i explained to her that i didn't care if it looked good, it was nothing like what i wanted as it turned out a dark bergundy red, and the blow out was awful as well my hair was frizzy and looked like little effort was put in it, she then seem all agitated and aggressive telling me that i could stay and they would have to do more work to lighten it, it was almost 3pm and i explained that ive been there since 11 and i had to get my kids, not to mention i didnt want my hair to get processed and more damaged because more work was required to get it light again, she was completely rude and dismissive saying that if i couldn't stay for them to fix it that I would have to reschedule and come back, not once did she apologize to me for not getting the color i wanted even when i showed her the pictures and explained how dark and completely off to what i wanted she was very rude, and told me it was not guarenteed to turn out how i wanted witch not once was i told this until now, she then demanded i paid, and came back, i was completely turned off and felt robbed of my time and money as i ended up paying 155.00 dollars including the tip for a color i did not want, and not only was she ok with that, she was fine with me leaving her salon in tears, i found this completely disrespectful to be robbed of my time, my money and that the owner herself had no integrity and had taken advantage of me in every way, i will never give my businesses to someone who is this unprofessional and would treat me in such a heartless way ,what was suppose to be a great day with a new look ended with me leaving in tears, with a color i absolutely hate and bieng robbed of my time and money due to paying 155.00 for something i did not want, i recommend you dont waste your time and money on a place where there is a huge lack of intgretiy, the yacht club salon was a complete and utter disappointment and i urge you to seek other places as this place was awful and unprofessional.

Erika is amazing! I have very fine hair and she has recommended products and haircuts that have helped grow and volumize my hair. She even helped me order extensions for upcoming wedding. I always look forward to my time at the Yacht Club Salon. I highly recommend this salon. It is a tad pricey, but you absolutely get what you pay for.

Tiffani does a great color, cut, and style. I love that she remembers my dogs names. I have tried the mani/pedi station and wasn't thrilled about that. I know that it is ranked #1 in the county, but I'm not feeling it. Just eh. But they do hair really well.

After the post below, I was contacted by the salons owner Heidi. She encouraged me to come back in and let them make the experience a good one. They were able to fit me in on a very busy Saturday morning. Theresa was given the task of cleaning up my cut and she did a beautiful job. I'm very happy with the way it turned out. I want to thank the owner Heidi for caring. As well as Theresa for doing such a great job and making me feel comfortable in a rather awkward situation. Im one very dissatisfied customer. Chaz was my stylist, she spent 25 minutes on my hair. All she did was cut a little off the ends and messed my bangs up. It would of been 20 minutes but I complained about my bangs, so she tried to fix them. She wasn't able to. I told the lady at the reception desk, but all she said was she'd talk to Chaz. What about my hair and the expectation that I was going to get a haircut?

I LOVE THIS SALON! Everyone is so nice and attentive, I love that they continue to further their knowledge in styles, products etc... My stylist is Stacy and I totally recommend her. I am a difficult client ;)...and I'm afraid of brassy hair but Stacy always takes care of me and is very knowledgeable and realistic with what I like to achieve with my haircut and color. You will always feel welcome here and everyone is always willing to help and answer any questions. Totally worth it.

After moving to Denver a few years ago it was extremely hard for me to find a salon and stylist that catered to my thick hair. I found Yacht Club Salon while I was leaving Costco one day and made a mental note to check it out and boy I am so glad I did!! I called to set up a last minute hair cut and nail appointment and they were able to get me in on the same day within an hour! Almost unheard of. While entering the salon I was greeted by a gal who gave me a tour of their entire Salon which was very appreciated, then was seated and given a complimentary water. I met Emily, my stylist and she was sooo thorough in asking what I wanted, etc. Emily really listened to everything I said, took notes and recommended what she thought would be best for my hair. I walked out of the salon with the best hair cut of my life. I can actually manage my thick hair now after her wonderful cut and advice. I will never go to another salon after seeing Emily! Thank you Yacht Club salon and Emily for the wonderful experience. You’ve earned a client for life :)

i finally found my forever hair home!!!! I was so impressed from the moment I walked in and got a TOUR of the salon! The receptionist offered me a drink (they have a menu!) and gave me a whole welcome packet and tour! Next, my stylist Becca (who is amazing), sat me down and really listened to what I wanted, she took notes and was so attentive and helpful. She gave me EXACTLY what I wanted and I am so so happy to have found her! She went through and taught me what each product was that she used and showed me how to use it and than recommended what I can get away with not getting as well! You can’t go wrong there, I will recommend everyone go there!

Th Yacht Club is amazing! I went to a different salon in Boulder and got a totally butchered balayage. I was soooo upset and disappointed but when I called The Yacht Club, they invited me to come in for a free consultation to see if they could help me out. They were all so kind and didn't make me feel worse about what happened to my hair (even though at first they thought I had maybe done it myself since it was so bad, haha). I scheduled an appointment with Kimberly who was able to work me in later that week and she did amazing work!!!! She ended up making my hair look exactly how I wanted it done at the previous salon and I was so relieved! She is the bomb at color correction and balayage! Now I regularly see Kaeleigh because she is great at cutting curls and she has helped me maintain the soft blonde I crave and I always enjoy sitting in her chair. The most recent cut she gave me is by far my favorite hair cut I've ever had! She nailed the short curly style I was going for.

Everyone is super friendly! I always leave happy with the service. They have a lot of products but they don't push them at you aggressively like many salons will. My stylist rebecca uses the best products for my hair and gives great massages when you wash your hair. I always leave relaxed! Would love to get my nails done here too
