Kat is A M A Z I N G! Not just at hair (which she is awesome obviously just look at her Instagrams) but she’s a nice person. Actually she’s the cutest sweetest person in the world. Down to earth & non-judgmental & listens to you & does exactly what you want her to do & she explains everything & helps you get the best result as far as your hair goals! Before I met Kat, something bad happened with my hair, a mishap I’ve been dealing with for about a year now. Over the course of a year I’ve been losing my hair, globs of it. (Thyroid is fine & I'm healthy too) Anyways, wish I’d found Kat sooner! She did a Chemical application & deep conditioning treatment & my hair is so much softer now & it’s finally absorbing conditioner again!

You seem to be always welcomed with a warm, smiling face, that alone deserves 5 starts (these days). Let's be real ladies, finding a new hair stylist can be just as daunting as finding a new OBGYN. However, there are some places who make that transition a little less daunting, and for me, The Bad Kittie Salon did just that. I understand that not all of us have the same needs and therefore will have different opinions. The vibe is very welcoming, eclectic, friendly with a unique salon layout. I would recommend you checking out, it's worth it and the reviews were spot on.

Gaila is awesome at this salon!!! (update 10-31-12 Gaila moved to Blo salon and Barbershop on Broadway)....Ive been jumping around from salon from Nebraska, Ft Collins, and Denver and for the past few years they have all just been mediocre. I has wanted to try a new salon and had always seen the Bad Kittie and wanted to go there and then I seen some people say good things about Gaila. She got me in 2 days after I called, She's the first stylist Ive had that stood there and actually talked about what I wanted and did exactly what I asked for not just a safe version of what she thought I wanted....Im usually really hesitant to have new people cut my hair because it always gets messed up but she got it great and fixed a bad cut another girl gave me somewhere else....Its the first time in a very long time I walked out of a salon without 1 complaint.

Kat is an exceptional stylist. Her work with my hair was nothing less than art and I highly recommend this salon especially if you are considering an unorthodox cut (I got a pixie and love it). Watch out for pricing here- their site says women's cuts are $45 and up. The more complicated the cut the steeper the price, which caught me off guard so make sure you have enough dough with you, and it'll be worth every penny!

This is place is awesome! I have had my fair share of bad hair experiences so I am always a little nervous to try a new place, especially with my current hair color (burgundy). I saw Lindsey for a full color and cut. She did an amazing job and was super friendly, as well as professional! The salon uses high quality products like pravana, which I was impressed with. The prices are also very reasonable for the great work that they do. I am definitely going to be a regular client now :)

BIANCA is AMAZING!!! This is the second visit for my Granddaughter to get her Mermaid Hair. This time, Bianca added a splash of Magenta to make it POP. SO, SO BEAUTIFUL!!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Bianca and the entire Staff. Lora is also a wonderful person. WE LOVE THIS PLACE!!!

I got a spiral perm with Tonya and love it! I knew I trusted Tonya with this big hair change from our first consultation. She has a great way of calming your nerves, answers any questions you have (I had a ton and she was very patient), and is great to talk to. She walked me through what was happening step by step and even showed me how to style my new hair after the perm was done. If you’re thinking about getting a perm, go to her!

Absolutely loved it here!!!! I specifically chose Bad Kittie Salon because they are one of the few salons in town that specialize in curly hair and perms. Kat knows her stuff and took excellent care of me! She's been styling hair for over a decade and clearly cares about her work and her clients. She was knowledgeable, professional and super friendly. She listened closely when I described what look I was hoping to achieve and she totally hit the nail on the head. I love love love my hair!!! Yes, the cut is good, but, it is nothing like I asked for. I went through the trouble of walking in to ask about/find a stylist that could encourage curl with the proper cut. I explained how I wanted to just tousle my hair for a fluffy curly look...like a round ball I said. Then I showed her a picture, not of a celebrity hairdo but one of my own, and still she left it way too long in the bangs (still in my eyes) and proceeded to blow my hair straight. She could tell I was not happy and offered to cut some more but by that time I was not going to let her touch it again.

I've been going to this place on and off for the past 4-5 years, and though I stray for the sake of change I always come back knowing that they will give me a better haircut and experience than I could get anywhere else. One of my favorite things about this place is it reminds me of how a barber shop or hair salon should be; somewhere to kick back, have a drink, and enjoy the luxury of a haircut. The hair dresser I always come back to Meryl. She's fantastic with color and being able to translate what I am asking for into what I mean. When it doubt, we go over pictures and make sure we are on the same page and if she has a suggestion I know it's a good one. These cats are worth every penny and minute I've shared with them!

UPDATE SARAH JAY no longer here! I used to go here for Sarah Jay which always did my hair perfect. She has recently moved to Salon 17 (17th & Williams) near the hospital a bit north west of here. So my previous review of this place is no longer up to date. People here are nice. The place is still a bit girly 70's hippy foo foo for guys. No guys magazines in the rack. They do offer drinks for customers. But I have not had my hair touched by anyone that currently works here and cannot comment on how well anyone does.

Went in there to get an all over color that on their website was listed as $60+ and also wanted a hair trim. Ended up waiting for half an hour and then when finally got in chair I was notified that all over color would be $100 and the hair cut was $70 plus more for styling. I was in awe but didn’t feel comfortable on leaving. Ended up just getting my hair colored with demi color. The stylist was very sweet but the pricing completely threw me off. After two hours it was all done and I had to run out and get some errands done. Nope. Sat down in car and looked at myself— my whole neck and ear was covered in dark dye. I had to go home, take a shower, and then pick up my daughter from school— no time to do the things I needed to do. Honestly for the money I paid I at least expected looking decent afterwards.

This place is really laid back and comfortable. Aside from the fact that they have done a better job on my very long and vexatious light blonde hair than anyone in history, they consistently listen to my changing desires and meet them every single time. The staff is welcoming and the owner is interested in her establishment. These ladies can do pretty much anything with an entertaining and quirky hustle.

Lucked into a recommendation from a friend to try out this salon. I was attending a 1940's ball and needed pinup hair. This place was better than I could have imagined. Their knowledge and skill to produce the perfect pinup look for me was awesome! It was a priced well for the service but I don't know the standard for this service since I don't typically pay to just get my hair styled. However, the girls are the best and worth every penny!

It’s so hard to find a new stylist, but I was not let down by bad kittie! I have SUPER thick hair, and accidentally scheduled myself for a partial highlight, when I needed a full. Bianca went above and beyond to make sure my hair got exactly the treatment it needed, even though it was not what I was scheduled for. She stayed wayyyy later than what I had scheduled to make sure my hair looked perfect. She did amazing highlights! I was also very impressed that the owner jumped in to helped her staff, stayed as late as the last person out, AND she watched me walk to my car to make sure I got there safely. Such a great experience. ❤️❤️❤️

Went and saw Piper and she did a fantastic job on my hair. It looks and feels amazing, and I'm very happy with it! However, salon communication needs a little bit of work. Over the course of a week I called 3 times (left a message once, which they returned a week AFTER I got my hair done lol), emailed them, and messaged them on Facebook before I was finally able to set up an appointment. And while I love my hair, I'm still not 100% sure it was worth the almost $300 price tag. I'll definitely be back, but sometime in the far future.

This is a great salon. However, like the last person I agree they could use some customer service improvement. It is discouraging to go into your favorite salon (which does my hair well), when the woman who answers the phone is extremely rude. I believe her name is Hannah, who last time I called continuously rudely interrupted me, not allowing me to ask her very simple questions which would determine wether or not i needed/wanted to come in for a couple hundred dollar hair job. When I asked her to stop interrupting me so I could ask her some questions and possibly schedule an appointment, She then began to laugh at me and told me " well i went to hairschool for 3 years..". As if it entitled her to be rude to a customer w less knowledge of hair and pigment. This interaction was an extremely childlike poor example of customer service. As a hairdresser, customer service is an aspect of your job. From there I asked her for her managers information.. And her response was "shes not here." I have a hard time understanding why anyone would pay this woman to answer the phone and disrespect potential and current customers.

Sarah Jay cut my hair and she is slicker than snot on a glass door knob. I almost fell asleep while she shampooed/massaged my head. I almost proposed to her but she was busy that weekend. I thought it was a "girl only" place but its male friendly. I've been to Floyd's 99 and its more of a lap dance than a place to get a killer cut. I walked out (no, I strutted out) from BK with a badass cut that made me look Rock Star Status. Also after she was done I had NO neck hair itchy. If you go there ask for Sarah Jay...unless I need a trim that day cuz she is now my go to gal. I love this place bc you get a great cut, awesome conversation, they remember your name and you get what you want and then some! I'll go back for sure. I walked in shaggy now my hair would make you stop on a dime and give you 9 cents change.

I loved/ love everything about The Bad Kittie Salon down to the name.! I walked in and everyone smiled and said hello! I checked in and the Admin offered me a drink. I opted for white wine. I enjoyed my wine during my short wait. Kari came over. Introduced herself and listened to what I wanted and went to work:) Kari is attentive and talented! I was slightly nervous when I made the appointment but after meeting her and watching her work her magic and talent I was beyond comfortable. Jordan did an ombré on my hair. I wanted my root color brought down and then ashy blonde ends. She listened to everything I said and wanted and outdid my expectations! She is so sweet and really just wants you to feel great about yourself...and I do! The salon itself is super cute and everyone was so nice! I will be getting my hair done by Jordan from now on!!!

A great salon with beautiful work and outcome everytime and yet the rudest customer service I've encountered. I wish i could say the girl at the counter was cute, sweet, and inviting..however she is just plain rude and sassy. However, if you can make it past the attitude its well worth the beautiful fresh do up. Short and sweet I would enjoy my expierence calling and attending much more if I was greeted by a friendly non condesding person...however its worth it their work is great. I encourage bad kitty to hire not just people with experience in hair, but that can apply customer service and conduct themselves in a polite business manner vs. The catty school girl demeanor which comes with the lack of focus on customer service. I keep going back but my tips keep getting smaller..the first tip i provided was almost $50. Now theyre $10.

I was in the Bad Kittie salon just the other day, it's a cool salon with lots of pretty jewlery and artwork up front to catch your eye... behind the counter are glittery chairs and giant mirrors-you only wish you could sneak home. I got my first perm done by Kat. If you're feeling hesitant about a perm, I would highly recommend Kat Story. She is knowledgeable about all things beauty and super sweet, throughout our appointment she went out of her way to make sure I was comfortable and happy with the end results. Of which, I'm very happy and I love my curls! She does a fabulous job making people look and feel their best.

I'm normally a little bit sad after a few days when i have to shower and try to style my hair again on my own, but between Jordan's skill with the scissors and her styling tips i was able to get pretty darn close to what she did for me in the salon. Walked in and was ignored by who I thought was a receptionist. I just stood at the desk while she played on the computer, looked at me then walked away until I spoke up saying I had an appointment. She ended up being my stylist. She did the opposite of what I asked for and did layers, made the top layer ridiculously short and the "layers" were just three strait shelves of hair. My regular stylist just fixed my hair and was appalled. Had to wait for it to grow out to fix. Will not be going back here again.

Kat gave me my first perm- to my very thick long hair- and it was perfect. BEST PERM IN DENVER!! I continued to come to her for perms for the past few years, and I've never had so many compliments in my life. She's amazing! I recently decided to straighten my hair again (I'm having fun letting her change my look) and it was incredible as expected. Everything I wanted and more. She always goes the extra mile. I've seen her coloring ability as well and it's unmatchable. She cares so much about her clients. She's superbly sweet, personable, and creative! Such a wonderful human being. This place is the BEST!! Kat is the best hair person I've ever had the pleasure of working with... and won't go anywhere else now! She's been perming my hair to create incredibly natural curls for about a year and a half or so. Everyone is always shocked to hear that I wasn't born with them! She helped rescue me from a hair disaster when I tried to dye my own hair too, right before a big trip LOL... she's my shero. The decor is so creative and vibrant -- this isn't your mom's hair salon.
