Before coming here, I had been cutting my hair on my own for years. As in taking a cheap pair of hair clippers and sort of just buzzing it all off. I decided to change that one day, and well randomly searched for a salon near me and decided to drop by. It honestly is one of the best cosmetic decisions I've ever made! My go-to is Marcus, and he's been amazing in getting my hair to where I want it to be, but I've still got plenty of time before that happens and I gaurantee I won't stop coming here. It's amazing!

Fabulous salon. I have lived in Colorado for six years and have struggled to find a salon that lives up to my experiences back home in Southern California. This one does in spades. Fun atmosphere, talented stylists, great location. It has everything. Rebecca has been a master with color. I came into her for a consultation with a mess that the last stylist created. (You can tell how much I liked it by the picture.) Rebecca didn't let me walk out of the salon until she fixed it and made me feel confident rather than embarrassed walking around outside. (I can't get the "fixed" picture to upload, but my hair looked great.) Since then, we've gone on to some fun stuff with reds (first with a red-infused ombre and then kicking it up a notch or ten). She's killing it. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.

I like that the front desk people have also been part of the salon for a long time. Parking is terrible in the highlands but you can walk a few blocks and park for free.

I have tried other nice salons that are more convenient to me and cheaper, but keep coming back here. Katie has done my (long) hair for years and helped make it much more manageable. Always feel fabulous when I leave Scarlet's.

After my daughter first visited this salon a week later we both agreed something had gone wrong and it needed to be adjusted. We made arrangements to come back in and everyone agreed the hair looked muddy. The poor gentlemen tasked to fix the hair thought he was only doing a toner but everyone agreed it needed so much more. He kindly did what he could in the little time that was allotted to him, but after it was blown dry there were huge, chunky color blocks. We asked them to fix it which he could after his next cut and dry, an hour and a half later we tried again. We were asked to pay $100 for the correction, which once we got home and blew it dry ourselves, it was still obviously not right to anyone and everyone looking at it. Not his fault and certainly not ours! I think the salon management should have recognized this was not their best work and should have offered a solution. Instead, I am out $300 between the initial treatment and the second as well as countless hours. We will now have go to another saloon and pay more money to get it corrected. Wish we could say we had a better experience, but Not a fan

Worst salon experience I've ever had. I was there 6.5 hours, and they didn't charged me $150 for the wrong cut and the wrong color. And they didn't even finish either one. They said since they had taken so long that I should just come back the next day and get it finished for free. Since they promised that, I paid and walked out the door. But, the next day, they refused to complete either one. They had lied. One of their stylists yelling at me when she couldn't mix the colors correctly, and the manager just said the woman was tired, over-worked, and hungry, and she thanked me for remaining polite. However, there is no excuse to yell at a customer. If you don't have the color someone wants, just tell them that. Don't try to do it with what you have, and end up ruining their hair, saying you'll fix it, and then refusing to do so.

Amy has been doing my hair for ages. I found her through a google search for "long layers specialist" and she is, indeed, just that. I appreciate that my stylist does the wash and cut -- it helps with relationship building and cementing a sense that I am her client vs. simply another one that walked in the door. The environment is nice, staff is friendly, and parking is a snap, even though it's in a very popular part of town. I am glad to be a client of Scarlet Salon.

I am originally from NY and pretty much had the same hair stylist my whole life. When I moved to Denver I had a hard time finding someone that I really loved cutting my hair. Carli from Scarlet is awesome and she knows exactly what to do. I went in yesterday with long hair and had a Britney Spears moment "just shave it all off" :) she created the cutest short hair do on me. I absolutely love it!! Got an updo here and did not get a good look before I went home. Got home and realized I was extremely unsatisfied with how it turned out. When I called back to try to have it fixed the man said there was not one person that could help me even though the salon is open for another 3 hours. Talk about a waste of $65.00.

I was deeply disappointed in my hair coloring experience at Scarlet Salon on 2/2/19. I saw Meagan, and wanted to go from blonde to dark hair, which should have been simple. The only thing I didn't want was for my hair to be red. Megan told me it would be possible to darken my hair, but the first color she put in it was orange. Bright traffic cone orange. It was horrific. She told me she could fix it and ended up putting a beige "mushroom" color on the ends. I left with watery orange hair that is awful. It looks like bad box dye. I immediately booked another appointment at a different salon to fix it. The worst part was being told not to be upset about it and to stop complaining about it because she thought it looked good. I felt humiliated and silenced. I now have to pay another salon to fix it. Horrible customer service and I will never come back.

Apparently to switch stylist for a schedule that fits your life better you need to explain yourself to the front desk. I made an appointment online for a time that was convenient to me and got a phone call both in the morning and the evening asking to explain why I switched. Then I received an email saying my appointment was canceled because I failed to call back. Half an hour later I received a confirmation for my appointment. 15 minutes later I received an email saying that my appointment time had been changed. Lack of communication from the salon is apparent. I will be taking my business else wear to a salon that doesn't question my loyalty and is it wishy-washy on my confirmation. In the past I have had great haircuts but the management clearly is awful.

Oz Gallegos is the best! She took such great care and time to fix a very bad cut that I recently received at another salon. Oz took the time to listen to my concerns and explain to me what went wrong in the previous cut. She made it look 1000 times better and came up with a plan to get my hair back into shape. I love the vibe at this salon! They always have munchies and good music. Tip: If you have grey hairs or want a very natural blonde color make an apt with "Twee". I'm very picky with all of my hair colors (she has taken me brunette and redhead) and Thuy is a sure fire way to get compliments on your hair! Pro: Easy to find 2 hour street parking. Con: on the higher end of salon pricing but well worth it for the talent with color there.

I had an incredible experience with Linston. I scheduled three days before trying to get a master stylist. Linston was well worth it. Hair is a passionate art to him and he did a great job. I was very pleased. Although the color (blonde) did not stay as long as I have had at a previous salon in SLC, UT. But that is not Linston's fault the salon needs to possibly invest in another high end color or brightener because the one that was used was not the good. As for the cut and style Linston did a great job listening and did a wonderful job. I walked out very happy.

I’ve had two bad haircuts in a row. I was desperate to find someone who can fully encompass what I want out of my hair. My mom Had been coming here for years , so I called in to see if they had anyone who specializes in men’s hair. She recommended Marcus and I won’t be looking back. My hair usually has one thing I don’t like about it, but today I have no complaints!! He did a great job, even when I was super specific he didn’t complain. I got exactly what I wanted and will be going to him for any future haircut. You gotta try Marcus if you have a specific vision. He did a great job!

Today was my first time at Scarlet Salon. Here's how it went. I was greeted at the front by a wonderful and friendly lady named Kitty. She offered coffee and beverages and told me exactly what to expect. My stylist Shannon W was fantastic, and seemed like an old friend despite the fact I was a new client. She asked my input on what I wanted, explained what she was doing, and took her time making sure the end result was killer. She's great at real, fun conversation, not awkward forced small talk like many stylists. Highly, highly recommend. The atmosphere of the place is progressive and modern. The building itself seems to have an interesting history and archetecture. This may be me being picky, but the one thing that did throw me off was the occasional country song on the otherwise upbeat, modern playlist. It didn't seem to fit the vibe of the place and I found myself thankful on a few occasions when the drone of a blow dryer would cover the noise. Yuck. Judging by the faces of those around me, I was not the only one put off by the country bits of the musical selection. Overall, the people are great, the prices are more than reasonable for what you get, and I could not be happier with my new cut.

Emily G did a fabulous job with my cut and color. I didn't have much direction to tell her, I just asked her to make it better. She had a vision and I left there feeling like a supermodel. The only downside is that I paid almost $200 for the cut and color. But, it was definitely worth it. If I lived in Denver, I'd definitely be back to see Emily.

I have naturally dark asian hair. My hair is pretty long. I heard from friend of a friend about Thuy. I always knew that having naturally dark hair it takes more than few sessions to become lighter and you must be patient. My hair stylist was booked out to a month, I needed to get my hair done asap. So I came to Thuy, I only had to wait a week. I came in with black hair w/light brown tips from a previous hair color. I told Thuy that I want it lightest she can give me without damaging. She said she will use Olaplex to help with the damage. After the application she lefted me for more than 2 hrs because she had another client come in. She came back and told me she was sorry she did not know why they schedule another client and I so close. By the time she came to check my hair she finally washes it. I came back and sat in a chair and saw that my hair was really blonde. I asked her shouldn't it take a few sessions before I get this light because I'm gonna have a lot of damage. She says that she prefers to do it all in one session so that I don't have to come back for another session, only touch up and toner. So i thought oh well its already been done. Then she adds a ashy blonde toner to my hair. Inside the salon it wasn't dark but had a more dim light so I didn't noticed the difference yet. While she was washing the toner out. Another hair stylist washing their clients hair next to us said something about no strips or steaks unless it's a highlight. She was agreeing with him. After blow drying my hair I noticed some green and she told me that after a few washes with purple shampoo it will come out. So I paid and left. I come outside to my car and look in the mirror. There were streaks of darker shades all over and my hair had a light green hint to it, it was very noticeable. I knew it came from the toner and thought it will wash out like she said. After a few weeks it did wash out. But the damage was so bad that my hair was falling out. I even purchased the Pravana purple shampoo and conditioner from the salon, put Argan oil everyday oil everyday, and did weekly deep condition mask for 2 months. My hair keeps falling and breaking, it just got shorter and shorter. No heat used either. I got scared and went to see my old hair stylist. She told me that Thuy should of never ever left lightener in my hair for more than 2 hrs and make me blonde in one session. I ended up cutting my hair super short above my shoulders. I losted a lot hair from falling out, breaking and had to cut so many inches off so it can get healthier. She doesn't know what she is doing. Even Guy Tang a well known hair stylist doesn't recommend going from black to blonde in one session. Im so disappointed I will never come back to Thuy or recommend her. I paid almost $400 for nothing, only to damage my hair.

Stephan was great. I hadn't had a cut in a few months and he was really attentive to what I wanted. First impressions were kind of odd, as I checked in and was told to sit down. Couple minutes later Stephan came to the waiting area saying nobody told him I was there? Wasn't an amazing first experience but the way he took care of me made up for it. Would highly recommend.

Scarlet is amazing! Best salon I have ever been to. I would trust any stylist working there to do my hair. Im shocked to read some of the reviews. I do know for a fact there is only ONE owner(no partner/silent partners) and she doesnt even do hair..she is all business and customer service. I would recommend Scarlet to anyone who asks. My hair always comes out gorgeous and wouldnt go anywhere else!

I had a hair appt that I scheduled over a month in advance and received a call an hour before I was supposed to go in- a lady told me the hairdresser I was seeing, Thuy, had to take her daughter to the hospital. While I understand that things can suddenly happen, especially with kids, I still found it really unprofessional and rude that they would call an hour before my appt! The lady I spoke to said she would call me back when she figured out what to do with everyone's appt for the day (this was this past Friday). I finally called back around 430 pm- all they said was that they didn't hear back from Thuy and that they'll return my call. It is now 830 pm on Tuesday and I still haven't received a call back! What kind of place treats new customers this way?! You would think they would at least keep me in the loop. Very poor customer service, very poor communication, probably a very disorganized staff as well. Will not be recommending to anyone!!!

My roommate recently had her hair re-colored and cut and I was obsessed with her hair, and this was the salon she recommended. I am so thrilled I was able to experience their brilliance!! I called on a Sunday and asked if they had any available appointments for that day, thoroughly expecting that there was no way I'd be fit in the same day. I totally lucked out with a same-day appointment with Charlee, and she was absolutely fabulous!! I hadn't been able to make it in for a haircut for almost 7 months, yet Charlee was totally able to work her magic and keep my hair long while still getting rid of all my nasty dried-out and split ends. Additionally, she showed me how to do a blowout and gave me tips and tricks for doing my own blowouts at home, and recommended fabulous products. I am in love with my refreshed cut and I cannot endorse this salon enough!!

So this salon looks very nice and reviews look well until you go inside. I paid 550 dollars for my hair to burn by 7 inches and the stylist was asking others to get advice on what to mix to lighten my hair. I was so traumatized that once I got myself together a week later I called and the manager told me that the owner is busy with her new house and I should’ve called the next day. Well, I had & I was hung up on after 3 holds. Inferior ownership.

Let me just start off by saying that Thuy is the best! I've been going to her for a little over a year now and my hair has never looked so good! It's very difficult to find someone to do good hair let alone someone who actually listens to what you want and comes through 10000000% Naturally I have very dark brown hair, I wanted an ashy- white blonde and I left the salon with just that. My hair NEVER fell out and to this day has not fallen out. My hair is MILDY damaged but that is expected when you go from basically black to white hair. I have ZERO complaints about Thuy and I am constantly recommending her to everyone!

Jessie Peterson is a hair master! I haven't had a bad hair day since I found her. We have played with baby lights to full bayalage to just roots and it all turns out amazing. the stylist double booked me and so she had me sit for 45 minutes with conditioner on my hair while she worked on the other customer. I didnt plan on being there for over 3 hours, but that is what it turned into as a result of the 45 minute "time out" as I will call it. then instead of apologizing, she told me that it was fine because my hair needed the conditioner. she then took a razor to my hair and razored the crap out of it and put a ton of layers in it that I never asked for and we didnt discuss doing. I have baby fine hair, so a razor should not be taken to my hair. Everyone has been asking me since "what happened to your hair?" The receptionists are snooty and not warm. The prices are high.
