Jo Vu at Salon Joa did my brows, I am so happy! Jo is a true microblading Artist and so amazing at what she does! If you are looking to get yours done - make an appointment with her - she is the best!

I am from Houston, and I was having my engagement party in Denver. I chose Salon Joa based on the rave reviews. I called once and was told that I would get a call back to set up an appt. I never got a call back. I called again 2 weeks later and got an appointment finally. I was less than pleased with my makeup and tikka setting. I have different color skin tones on my face so the foundation looked fine on some parts but ashy on other parts. She did not do any contouring, which probably would have helped the color issue. When I asked if she had set a tikka before, she said she had so I was confident she knew what she was doing. I was very disappointed when my tikka came out tilted in most of my engagement photos. I was not happy with my hair either. I could have curled my hair at home better than they did. I asked for barrel curls and got tighter curls after having discussed with my hair stylist. I would not recommend Salon Joa for Indian hair or makeup for darker skin tones.

This place is awesome. Everyone was down to earth and smiling. You can tell everyone enjoys their job and what they do. I came in for a men’s haircut expecting the typical 45 minute wait and 30 minute men’s haircut. Christina cut my hair quick and to the point. She asked how I wanted it cut and that’s exactly what she did. It’s the best haircut I’ve had in many years. Thanks Christina! I will be back every time from now on to get my haircut by Christina at Salon Joa. I highly recommend Salon Joa to anyone looking for the best service period. The only complaint I have is that I didn’t find this place sooner. Great work!!

The store closes at 8pm, I walked in at 6pm and the lady at the front desk asks me if I had an appointment, I tell her no. I asked if they did walk-ins and she says yes. I ask to get seen and she says oh our next appomtment is not until Tuesday .I clearly don't understand how she went from we do walk-ins to come on Tuesday if you want to get seen. For a place with a 4.5 star rating, the customer service was already bad to begin with and I didn't even receive any type of service from them yet. The lady at the front desk looked at me as if I didn't belong there.

A hidden gem! Easy to miss if you're just driving by, this salon on Colfax is worth seeking out. The atmosphere is friendly & relaxed, with skilled professionals for both your hair and nails. Stylists will do whatever you need & want for your hair, whether it's the latest fashion or your own personal style. Pricing is competitive, certainly less expensive than the Cherry Creek area. Parking can be a bit of a pain, but is usually available. Be careful about the lot behind the building, as most of it is reserved for the loft tenants in the building, but there is free parking on the street.

Christina is amazing! I have very long hair and am always nervous when going to a new stylist. She listened to me and did exactly what I asked for. Also, she recommended products and treatments I can actually benefit from instead of just trying to make money off of me; (I inquired about the keratin treatment and she was honest about how my hair is healthy enough that I would be wasting money if I did that treatment.) Also, the salon is beautiful and modern inside with a relaxing atmosphere. I ended up purchasing the leave in conditioner/heat protector because it worked so well on my fine hair. When I use it I am able to comb through my hair with no snags and it doesn't weigh my hair down, plus, it really provides protection against heat damage AND protection from the sun's uv rays. I highly recommend this salon and Christina to anyone. Especially if you have long hair and have had stylists chop off more than you wanted in the past or ruin your hair out of spite. That will never happen at Salon Joa with Christina.

I am bummed, I made an appointment for mani/pedi. I don’t get my nails done often so I was excited. My nail tech was completely unwilling to do the glitter polish I wanted, and to get me to just pick a solid color she said it would be $15 more if I did that. She was rough with my cuticles and filing, my big toe was left bleeding and there is polish on my skin. I felt as though I didn’t get a thorough buffing and removal of rough spots and overall I felt rushed because she was going home after my appointment. I feel like for $90 I should leave feeling super happy and I just wasn’t :/

I cannot express more how happy I am with the service and professionalism at Salon Joa. I have been getting my nails done there for almost 3 years and their artists are so talented and able to make any nail dream come true (Cassie is the best though!). I had my hair done there last night after a terrible experience at another salon, and I saw Kira, who was amazing, she is so knowledgeable about coloring and cuts, and then also gave me very valuable styling tips. The Salon owner even came over and helped with my color and made sure I was happy. My hair turned out incredible and I am so happy. Would recommend hair and nails here to everyone!

I was hoping to get Korean styled bangs, but they turned out a bit choppy (more American styled). I showed my hairdresser photos and videos of exactly how I wanted it cut and styled, but then she proceeded to not follow it step by step. I have to give her some slack though because my bangs turned out nice, it's just that it wasn't cut in the way that I specifically asked for.

Very expensive for a full set of nails ($60+) & my entire left hand is crooked... Everything also felt extremely rushed because the people at the desk came over multiple times to let the technician who was doing my nails know she had other appointments. I wasn't even doing anything crazy; just a simple set of nails with a basic color. However, the salon was cute & despite how creepy the surrounding area was, they found a nice building to be in.

I just moved to Denver and was looking for a new stylist. Salon Joa was within walking distance and it appeared to have a good vibe with lots of salon/spa options and stylists. I felt very welcomed when I walked in and was fortunate that the owner of the salon could fit me in right away. Great cut and attention to detail. I started going to Salon Joa in October 2017. I was 25 years old and it was the first place I’ve ever had my hair professionally colored. I made my appointment with Roaya and started the process of a balayage from very dark brown hair to a gorgeous ashy blonde. Mind you, my hair had not been colored in about 7 years. It only took three treatments with Roaya to get EXACTLY what I wanted. I go in for all my root touch-ups, toner refreshes and haircuts, and I leave with a beautiful head of freshly-styled hair. Every single time I check in for my appointments I’m offered a seat and a beverage while I wait. Needless to say, I’ve never been disappointed with the customer service or my personal services. During my last visit, I mentioned that I was having a difficult time finding an appointment with Roaya online as she tends to book quickly. She made a point, before I left, to check her calendar and was able to get me an appointment with her within two weeks for a root touch-up. This was perfect because it’s right before my holiday party. Roaya is absolutely the best and I will continue to see her for all of my hair needs - also because I’m a creature of habit and once I find something I like I stick with it.

I am so disappointed. Last Wednesday Feb 28, I got my nails and toes done by Meesha. Today literally one of my nails popped off while I was washing my hair and the paint on my toes has already started to chip. I paid a total of $95 tip included for a pedicure and rebase. This was a total waste of money and I am extremely upset. Now I have to pay more money to get my nail fixed. My nails should not be lifting and falling off. It hasn’t been a full week since I got them done. Meesha was very nice but she is overpriced and her work is not of quality. Very upset and unhappy with how my nails turned out. However, I was able to speak with Simone, Salon Manager, she was very helpful and the salon is going to issue me a refund. Thank you for the great customer service.

Had a pedicure here today. Service was nice, they offer drinks and are very friendly. But, one of my main reasons for getting a pedicure is the massage, and both my girlfriend and I were astonished at how short it was! Very disappointed and feel like I missed out on my favorite part of the whole experience. I would trade the mimosa and fancy service for a proper foot/calf massage any day. Probably won't be back.

A friend suggested we try this place and I was absolutely up for it since it has such good reviews and such a high rating. We made an appointment for 3 of us a couple weeks before. One of us, Natalee, ended up having to take an earlier flight out of town and couldn’t make her appointment so she called the day prior to cancel and specifically say that the other two would be there. I was with her when she canceled her own appointment. I arrived at the salon only to be informed that they no longer had my appointment in the books, only my friend Cassidy. Which I thought was odd because I had definitely not canceled my appointment. They informed me they had an opening but I couldn’t get both the deluxe gel manicure and pedicure as I had requested. They informed me that there was availability later in the day for both me and my friend Cassidy so we moved our appointments. There was no apology for the mistake. We arrived at the salon at 2:50, appointment being at 3, and I left the salon at 6:40. They had put us with a very new tech. Although she was sweet there was a lack of skill there that you’d expect from the salon (as seen through others work as posted on yelp and google). I also find it strange that after they canceled my appointment (without being told or notification) that they didn’t put us with someone who would impress and make up for the mistake. They had also forgot to put me down for gel on my toes, meaning there wasn’t enough time slotted and I got normal polish. I got gel polish on my nails. I’ve been getting gel on my nails for over a year now because I like that it strengthens my nails and prevents them from breaking easily. I also know, through experience, that gel is resilient and doesn’t scratch or flake easily. It took 1 hour to do a simple design on 2 of my fingers. The next day both my friend and I have bubbles and wrinkles in the polish. I work as a receptionist and do not put myself in situations that could even begin to scratch or peel the polish. The tech, as mentioned, was very nice and said any issues in the next 2 weeks and I can come back to the salon to fix the polish but honestly I’m not prepared to spend another 2 hours getting a polish fix. It’s ridiculous to me that it took 3.5 hours for a manicure and pedicure. I Will not be visiting this salon again in the future.

As a happy customer of four months, I'm writing this review to negate some of the other silly, negative reviews. I had previously been a customer at a different salon for 18 months, and it only took one service from Salon Joa to convince me that I found the right place. My barber Son has always been great. He is quick and precise. The establishment as a whole has been extremely, accommodating and friendly. I would absolutely recommend this place.

I hate to write a bad review. The salon was not in a great place but very cute on the inside. The girl that did my nails was sweet but she has only been doing nails for 6 months. I understand that everyone has to start somewhere but you cannot charge high end prices for a beginners job. My nails were filled down so thin and brittle and then started chipping and peeling the very next day. $50 for shellac that needed to instantly be replaced is not ok!!! I will not go back

Used to love this place but yesterday I received a voicemail stating that because I canceled twice in the past year that I would need to put a deposit down moving forward for appointments and that if I didn't call back within a few hours they would cancel my appointment for me. When I cancelled the second time it was because I was rear ended on the way there. The gentleman who delivered the messages and answered the phone today was very rude and didn't care about losing my mother, sister, and myself as clients. The last appointment I was at before thanksgiving included me showing up and working with a random hair stylist because apparently mine had quit or been fired. Nobody informed me of this ahead of time and asked if I wanted someone else or to reschedule. So evidently it's ok when they change things but not their customers. Poor customer service leads to customer loss.

Please do not go to this place , too pricey for the quality of service..I had my hair re do it like 3 times because the stylist don't have skill. Still I have to pay for the service even though I don't like it..
