DO NOT GO; damage hair! Upon searching the Internet for a hair salon in Vail; I came across this one close to the Ritz hotel. I expected it to be posh, as its name, but was very disappointed upon arrival; dirty/unprofessional environment. The dirt was clearly visible on the floor, sinks, and stylist chairs in front of the large mirrors. I wanted to turn away, but due to the heavy snow storm and pressed for time; I stayed...;(. There were 2 stylists present and quickly realized I got the trainee. She was quick to wash my hair; not thorough. As she was drying my hair; she kept hitting my face/ears with the round brush. She yanked my hair and caused it to be stuck to the brush with hairspray. It got all tangled, which she kept pulling, adding further damage. She rushed the job and my hair looked dead and very dry; the other stylist kept coming around to reprimand her and her lack of skills; awkward for me. She asked me what I thought and I clearly stated it looked awful and dry/dead. The second stylist was working on another woman and once done came over with anger/attitude and started brushing my hair very rough and rapid. She trimmed my hair due to the damage caused by the trainee and proceeded to give me layers in the front, when I specifically stated I did not want layers. I told her I was expecting curls, as mentioned upon arrival, and she got frustrated and proceeded to curl it and brush my face with the bristled brush. The end result was dry/knotted/split end hair for Christmas. She then charged my friend's credit card extra for taking more of her time and gave herself a 20% tip without consulting my friend or myself. She clearly stated, "I am charging you more because it took more of my time"; instead of stating it took more of her time to attempt to fix the other stylist errors. I have never experienced such rude, unprofessional, incompetent staff in my life. I should have used my better judgement and walked away upon arrival.

Worst hairdressing experience I have ever had to deal with. Arrived to very unwelcoming staff. Asked if they could accommodate me with makeup as well as my hair appointment, they really did try to accommodate me but I felt as if by me asking for the makeup as well it had set a bad tone for the appointment. I also had hairspray sprayed in my eyes multiple times without warning. The stylist was very rough with my hair and pulled and damaged my hair. She didn’t talk to me once and ignored me when I had questions. Even after all of this is was expected to pay an exorbitant amount of money for the terrible service I received.

Lyndsay at Posh is not only a remarkable person, but also an equally as talented stylist. Her gifts and passion is to make you look and feel your very best. She is open to any feedback, making a bride’s experience stress free. She is cool, laidback, understands your needs and is genuinely gifted. I found Posh after several failed attempts to pick a bridal stylist in the Vail and surrounding areas. She made me feel confident from the moment I met her. Then we hired her to do my hair, mom’s and grandma’s for the three-day wedding weekend. She and another stylist did my hair, along with my family’s and bridal party the day of the wedding. Everyone loved how they looked, which is rare when getting hair down for weddings, and everyone loved having Lyndsay’s cool vibe around all day, too! She even came back before our reception to do a touch up. Talk about first class service. I could not recommend her enough. Plus, POSH the store itself, is super cute, quaint and top service. Win-win!!!

Terrible Service! I called this salon to make an appointment for a cut and style two weeks from that date. I mentioned that I was coming up to Vail for my engagement photos that day and thus I wanted to look especially nice. I even called back to confirm the pricing and they said they had me on the books. Imagine my surprise and horror, when I showed up the day of my appointment with unwashed hair and the salon was closed! I was left to find other options with only an hour to spare before my pictures were to be taken. I heard from numerous people in the area that this is not only common, but actually a regular problem. I don't expect them to stay open long. Beware!

Lyndsey is the best! I was doing blonde highlights in my hair for years and was ready for a more sophisticated look. After consulting with Lyndsey, we decided on red. This change was a little intimidating, but Lyndsey worked her magic and came up with a color that compliments my skin tone so well, everyone thinks it's natural. Lyndsey cares and takes the time to understand what you want and what will work best for each person individually.

I set an appointment almost 3 weeks out to have my “Wedding Day Trial” done (which per their website is hair AND makeup. From the time I set the appointment to the time of the appointment, Posh sent me no less than 4 emails to confirm my “Wedding Day Trial” appointment. After Lyndsey did a somewhat decent job on my hair, I was supposed to have my makeup done, however they had NO ONE there to do it - even after the no less than 4 emails to confirm my “Wedding Day Trial”. They offered absolutely ZERO solutions to help me, did absolutely NOTHING to try and rectify the situation except to only charge me $70 for my hair (which I could’ve done a better job of with less pain). Needless to say, Posh is not someone to use if you’re looking for a reliable and/or helpful vendor. How they’re still in business with that type of customer service is completely beyond me. Not to mention, I told Lyndsey several times that I was tender headed, but it didn’t stop her from ripping the brush through my hair. Suffice to say: I’d give them ZERO stars if I could, but I have to give them at least one.

I do not recommend this salon! Before arriving at this boutique, the bridesmaids and bride confirmed that there would be 2 stylists to work on 5 of us so that we would not be late for our 11:30 am wedding. We arrived at 8:30am only to find one stylist there claiming that the second stylist cancelled on her. However, she said she can work quickly on the 5 of us. One of the bridesmaids asked how much she would charge and she told us $60. By the time she finished, it was 11am and she increased the charge to $70 a piece because she had to spend more time on each girls' hair. Additionally, she had to fix one of the bridesmaid's curls because they were falling out, even though the bridesmaid told the stylist that her hair does not hold curls. The 5 of us ended up arriving late to our wedding.

My girlfriend wanted to get her hair dyed. I wasn't really for it until she came home after her first appointment, she looked stunning. She was excited that the look was coming together and ready for her next appointment. However after the second time, she was in tears. She spent $300 for this place to ruin her hair. Instead of fixing the problem that this salon has caused, they just recommended she put baking soda in her hair. Now as the boyfriend I have spent so much time comforting her trying to tell her to embrace the look. However, she showed me the picture of what color it was supposed to be and wow this place couldn't have been further off. A simple light grey/silver, was the goal and her hair is almost as black as night. Women of the valley, please look for a more experienced salon if you want something more than your split ends trimmed.

Lyndsey Whittington has been my hair stylist for a little more than 10 years and I am thankful I found her. In my opinion, she is an expert when it comes to cutting curly and wavy hair and her color is always on point. I have recommended her to my friends and family - both male and female and all who have used her call me with thanks and appreciation for the recommendation and she continues to cut and color their hair. Posh salon is lucky to have her!

Wow! Just came back for another visit with Lyndsey and I am beyond the moon.. I can’t believe she doesn’t charge more. I went in for a color change (from a light blond/copper), and showed Lyndsey a photo of what I was looking for and she nailed it! I wanted to have my hair long and she listened to all my needs and gave me exactly what I was looking for. Worth every penny.. From the greeting to the fun and friendly atmosphere, I got more than I bargained for.. exceptional! This place is beyond Posh.. I love my new cut, color and style. What do you think?
