Absolutely love going to school here, everyone is amazing and the learning leaders are so knowledgeable and are able to teach you the way that you learn! It's so much fun and I've already had so many amazing things happen for me and the career I'm going into, and I'm only halfways done! Time goes by so fast because we are always doing something! The environment is so inviting, it truly feels like a family!!!
Went in for a trim by a friend who was attending the school. The ladies at the desk acted as though I was a nuisance, didn't bother to greet me. Had to remind them i had an appointment and to check me in. In terms of the hair cut, it was perfect, but because she was my close friend. Looking around, I wouldn't put my trust into any of the other students. I have heard horror stories about the school, losing student hours, not having the right equipment to teach and going by worksheets instead of hands-on. As far as the rumors go, this shop won't last. Send the time, effort and money on a place that's worth it. Paul Mitchell is just a name, and here's proof that doesn't mean it's a decent school.
I have loved my experience at Paul Mitchell Denver! The staff has been amazing and so helpful in teaching us all that we need to know to start our careers in cosmetology.
This school is a great place to come get discounted services. The students give 100% to achieve exactly what the customer wants and the liscensed instructors are always there to help.
I just love the Paul Mitchell curriculum and I’m loving all the new techniques I’m learning. Financial aid is the bomb!
Asked them to dye my hair back to brown and it turned out green with red patches. I never went back.
If you're thinking of going to cosmetology school, DO NOT COME HERE. Financial aid is a mess and she refuses to help you in any way even if it's as simple as doing her job, the teachers cause most of the schools drama, aside from Ms.B, and Ms. Kim. The education system is flawed and they will do anything in their power to keep you behind, but make sure you leave learning absolutely nothing. They do NOTHING to make sure you're prepared for state boards, the tools they give you to use break as they are so poorly made, as well as a lack of education on how to use them. If you invest your money here you can guarantee when you leave you will feel as though you have learned absolutely nothing, but you will leave with debt for a school that was a waste of time.
Good service, Takes longer than normal but the results are excellent!
It felt like bate and switch the moment I walked in the door. The first level girl was unavailable so they would put me with a second level girl for an up charge. Then the instructor advisor came over and said it would be an event style because I mentioned I was going to a wedding. The student did what I said I didn’t want and put so much product on my hair it was redicilous. I went home and curled my own hair. My understanding is that a couple of the bridesmaids who were also at PM had very similar experiences. I’d never go back.
I am a student here at Paul Mitchell and I love it here. There is such a welcoming vibe. You can feel the passion in the walls, and everyone swells with happiness. Definitely the place to be for a future professional, or anyone looking for a fabulous salon experience!
Paul Mitchell Academy is a wonderful place to get beauty services at good prices. The staff is well trained and accommodating.
The school is amazing I'm having the most wonderful time. Everything I could have imagined out of a school. Keeley Nelson
I have been going here for years and have not had a bad experience until Friday. My stylist was an hour late to our appointment and the staff told me she was on her way into the school. When I checked back a half hour later, they told me she was in the building but could not find her. Finally she arrived and did not even apologize. I had planned for 3 hours for a cut and color which ended up taking 5 hours! When the instructor helped the stylist cut my hair, the stylist's response was "I can't cut hair because the hair slips through the gaps in my fingers" (my jaw dropped upon hearing this). While the instructor discounted my treatment to only $60, I left with a lopsided and uneven haircut, a frizzy blowout, and a feeling like I never want to venture back into that place again. Sorry Paul Mitchell.
I agree with the front desk comments. Very rude, act like you are a bother, and not friendly, which is sad because it doesn't do well for the school and leaves a sour experience. I think if enough people complain may they will get replaced by customer service people. Students however are awesome and do a great job!
So sad this student had no clue how to do a layered haircut and the teacher was so unprofessional. The teacher said it was great. It was horrible and they tried every excuse as to why it couldn’t be layered. What a joke.
Wonderful atmosphere! Staff/students are so friendly! Recommend to anyone who wants to get their hair done and to get pampered!
What I have liked about my experience at Paul Mitchell so far, is that they have really guided me and helped me understand what a job as a cosmetologist is really about, and how you develop good relationships. Even thou g I'm just not starting, if I don't get something right, the first time. As I continue to practice, I get really good at it.
Love the customer service, just a little pricey, but hey, it's well worth the money
Elisabeth valiquette is amazing !! Come see her for any hair service . This school is awesome and I’m really glad I go here :) #financial aid is amazing
I toured several schools before I came to Paul Mitchell and this school is absolutely amazing! Everyone is soo friendly and willing to help you with anything. I'm so incredibly lucky to be apart of this family.
I just went in for a hair cut. My stylist was very thorough, asked lots of questions about my preference, and then executed it nicely. Took about 2 hours for a wash/cut/style but that's kind of what I expected from other reviews. I would definitely come back to this hair school!
Paul Mitchell school in Denver is an amazing school I am currently a student and I love it so far all the staff is amazing specially financial aid they help on whatever you need..!!! Love this School!!!
I love Paul Mitchell the school Denver! The environment is always up-beat and the staff and students always work hard!
I typically really enjoy my hair results when I come here! Always impressed.
I am currently attending PMTS Denver and I can’t contain how happy I am being here. From my learning leaders to the other future professionals - this is a place where you are supported and valued as a person.
Kiersten Gazzaway is by far the best stylist that has ever done my hair!! I would recommend her for absolutely anyone! She has so much passion and motivation for her career. I follow her on instagram and facebook and I love seeing all the hair she does!!!!! Best experience ever. And such a sweet girl. :) I live in Tulsa, OK now and I will definitely come to see her next time in CO.
Nice place elissa was awesome hair is ok not what I expected a lil over budget for what was done well .Hair dried out enough to see unsatisfied one side is more treated than the other, color looks gold one side ashy on the other not good like I said too much for two small strands . not good
I have called 4 times today.... Was answered on the 3rd time and put on hold for 5 minutes before I hung up. The other 3 times I didn't even get to a voicemail. I was trying to set up a hair appointment.... Disappointing....
This is a great place to come and get your service done! Students and instructors are friendly and easy going. They are here to help and make you feel welcomed!
Bri, my hair 2nd level cosmetology student was great, personality wise we got along famously! I had my hair done on Friday, after loss of tears, and sleep, Monday, I called, and asked for a refund for my service, minus the tip of course (she did do the work). I sat in the chair for 4hrs for partial highlights and a cut, an almost 2hrs round trip, so 6 hours later I arrived home with my hair being nothing like the pictures I showed. (I'd like to preface, I understand that Bri is a student. I'm an esthetician and I have had my hair done, cut, highlights/lowlights before at school, but never for 4 hours with zero expected results.) My husband arrived home and said, "you had your hair darkened, I thought you were getting highlights?" If the color I wanted was unachievable this should've been discussed thoroughly before agreeing to do my hair. I walked out with a jagged, blunt cut, and the same color I walked in with... I ended up going to Ashlee at Colorado Mills, Master Cuts to have my hair fixed. She did a hands down AMAZING job, in 2 hours(half the time as previous).
I love this school! I learn something new every day and it's so hands on.. the experience is definitely worth it. Jerry is the night learning leader and he is the best!! I wouldn't change my decision for a anything.
I asked for Carmel brown with blonde highlights and i got an ugly yellow on the top with brown on the bottom &tried it again once I had already done the blonde myself so all they had to do was put the brown lowlights in & now my whole hair looks dirty blonde. My hard work into getting my hair blonde just thrown away.
Great location.. Great staff just love it
Love going to school here. Everyone on the staff is so nice and helpful!
Absolutely love the school so far! The teachers are amazing; so helpful! I’m really happy with the decision to go to Paul Mitchell the School!! Can’t wait to get on the floor!
The worst experience in a salon and I didn’t even get my hair done. DO NOT come Here if you’ve ever used box dye in your life, because they will turn you away. The staff was rude, judge mental, and condescending, first telling me it would be one price and then another. When I wasn’t concerned about the price, the staff started to make snide comments to each other talking about how long my hair was and how much time it would take. They continued to grill me about my hair before I told them I had used box dye severa YEARS ago. This is when staff took the opportunity to tell me there was nothing they could do for me because my hair wasn’t fit to dye. I left crying, feeling terrible about myself, and called a friend who’s a hairstylist. This friend told me that although sometimes boxed hair dye can effect the way the hair lifts, it is rare that it will not get lighter at all whatsoever, especially considering this was years ago I used box dye. Both students and their instructors went out of their way to make me feel uncomfortable and ridiculed, not an experience that you should ever have in a salon environmenT. I was so devastated by the way I was treated and wouldn’t wish that experience on anyone, so I am warning others here.
Love This Place! Sweet Vibe & love my hair cut! Keep up the good work!!
Paul mitchell is super awesome and everyone should probably make appointments right now and get amazing hair.
I’m currently a night school student at pmts and it is so fantastic financial aid is always so helpful application was easy out learning leaders help so much along the way with any questions or concerns that I have it’s such a fun environment and the students are all very supportive! I specifically love the large amount of fundraising and community outreach work we do!
I have been going to PMS for over 6 yaers. I get GOOD hair cuts at good prices by good students! The low rating comes in for LACK of customer service and front desk reception attitudes! rude, Rude, RUDE! One receives MULTIPLE text and call reminders, scheduled an appt 5 days prior and then told the day I arrive that the student is NOT here and I should just reschedule! NO Thank You! I drove 23 miles to get here, responded to ALL your messages and NOW I have to reschedule?!? Turns out, student WAS there, was NOT told she had an appt and front desk was unapologetic. Left habd does it know what the right hand is doing! My 10:00 am appt didn't start for over 35 minutes! Go get a good cut but be prepared for a RUDE reception!!
Got a tacky haircut
My niece graduated from there 3 32 2019
Paul Mitchell the school of Denver is a great place to learn cosmetology. I highly recommend as a top notch school for those who want to be in this industry. Great atmosphere and educators.
Do not get your hair done here!! Worst experience ever. Student had no idea what to do, didn't seem to care what I looked like in the end, made multiple mistakes, and the only way to fix it is to go through the situation all over again. It is not worth it!!!!!
Update 01/19/19: A year later and my hair is still trashed. I had gorgeous red curly hair that is now brittle, broken and has horrible bleached out stripes. I am unsure why Kelly and Morgan thought BLEACHING and then depositing color was a good idea on curly hair, especially in CO. I went from low maintenance luscious locks to continuous maintenance to tone the strands of lifeless hair they soaked with bleach. Perhaps it is time to find new Educators Paul Mitchell? I was a loyal patron for ages and you haven't even lifted a finger to figure out how to fix your debacle. Oh, and that is without mentioning the now THOUSANDS of dollars I have spent in repairs and maintenance after this disastrous highlight. ------------------------------- It is with a heavy heart that I am writing this review as I have been a Paul Mitchell client at this location for 8 years. I have had fantastic services due to the previous Leadership and an amazing color formulated by the owner of a Paul Mitchell school in another city. I get the same service every 3-6 months; babylights with said formula and a little toner to cool off my red hair. I unfortunately had the worst hair experience of my life last week. I came in for my usual babylights and tone. I came out with chunky slices that looked like they had been grown out for a month. I didn't even get the tone because the Learning Leader, Kelly, was fighting with me about the color. I walked out looking like a demented skunk. In the last week I have spent 14 hours and $270 trying to repair the damage caused by bad instruction from Kelly. She was questioning me during the entire service and disagreeing with what I was asking. Even styling at the end was a mess. I asked for a simple french braid and Kelly gave me controlled curls. Trust me, I know it is a school. I get that, but giving students bad instruction and not listening to your clients is a disgrace. Morgan, Katie and Yvette tried to fix the disastrous hair that I now have to no avail. They had to perform a full color on me (which I've never had or even wanted) and now my scalp is on fire. They collectively tried to fix the thwarted instruction of Kelly and my hair is just awful. It looks like a multi-colored freak show. Please, please bring back the standard of care that you once had! I now have to figure out what to do with my once gorgeous locks.....and spend more money to do it. I am disgusted with what Paul Mitchell has done to my hair. I regret EVER making an appointment last Saturday. You have most certainly lost me as a client and I will cease to continue providing my countless recommendations to your establishment.
I am a student at Paul Michelle & I can say that it has been an amazing experience here! I love the teachers here & the environment at this school. Everyone here is a great support as well at the ladies at financial aid! They do so much for this school & for us!
Wonderful school and teachers!! Lindsey is a great stylist.
I always love to visit Paul Mitchell the School Denver. It is a beautiful location and the team is loving and kind. I will continue to return and work with this team, love them.
Great place for the students to learn and for customers to get a budget cut, style, color etc. My biggest advice is make sure you have PLENTY of time. I was there for AN ENTIRE HOUR for a simple bob trim, no wash, no blow-dry, no layering or anything else (and I had to ask them to hurry because I hadn't planned for being there longer than an hour). The student was nice however she kept repeatedly and obviously hitting me in the face with the blow dryer, and yanking my earrings with the comb pretty painfully. From what I could tell, she was just stressed from trying to go faster as I had to leave by a certain time however, it was still an unpleasant experience. It would have been a slightly better rating had I not been told by multiple people that essentially it was my fault that we had to rush because I hadn't mentioned in the beginning that I was in a hurry. Apparently wanting a trim to take less than an hour is a hurry so, I would say give this place a try but make sure you have plenty of time! I probably won't be back myself, though.
Please please please please bring back the esthetics program!!!
Got great color here from the night school. Jerry is a wonderful teacher and helped the student when needed. Highly recommend.
I am a student here at Paul Mitchell. My rating is based off my learning leaders, fellow students & front desk ONLY. NOTHING else. I love the education I'm getting here at PM I also love all the girls & guys I go to school with, everyone has such a unique & warm welcoming personality. They are all creative & out going in different ways. The learning leaders (Krystal, Becca, April, Jerry, Caroline, Stephanie, Lindsay, Margie, Shady & Stephanie who now work is in marketing) Are all amazing teachers, very inspirational, professional, & well versed in what they teach. I've had a good experience with each of them & the previous learning leaders here. Our front desk here at PM is ALWAYS on top of things, handling the chaos very well, & giving great customer service. So over all I think Paul Mitchell is a spectacular school to attend & get your hair done at.
I live in Tennessee and was visiting family in Denver. I had my niece, Kiersten Gazzaway, cut my hair into a new style!!! She did a fabulous job. I would recommend her to anyone living in the Denver area!
Absolutely awful and completely unprofessional. The screwed up the booking so completely they couldn't keep it and I had to make an appointment at another salon. Don't go here - it's a embarrassingly bad, utterly amateurish and they have no idea what they're doing.
very good stylists and hair knowledge
I LOVE Paul Mitchell! The staff is great and soooo helpful!
I absolutely loved everyone. All of the instructors were really welcoming. It's a great school to attend. Would really recommend to everyone!
Since my first day of class here at paul mitchell, I have never felt so welcome to a new environment. Each and every one of the staff members make learning fun, and all the unique types of other students attending make it great for meeting new people. I love my time being spent here at Paul Mitchell and cannot wait for what my future holds. Thanks for Paul Mitchell, now I can continue learning and preparing for my career in cosmetology.
They bleached my T-shirt, and the color was not at all what I asked for. And I spent many hours to be this unhappy!
Kiersten Gazzaway cut and colored my Extremely curly hair. The cut was perfect!!! And the ombre from my natural color to blonde was absolutely beautiful and natural looking!!!!!!!! Will definitely will be returning to see her for my next hair adventure!!!
I started not too long ago at this school and I love it so much. The teachers are super helpful and even the other students. I have learned so much in just a short time and I still have so much to learn. I highly recommend coming here if you are looking for a great cosmetology school.
I've had wonderful experiences at the Belmar school! Kiersten Gazzaway was my stylist and she did such an amazing job on my highlights and cut. I would strongly recommend her!
My hair was brassy and grown out before now it's icy and natural looking! The students gave me some baby lights, some balayage, and toned it. Also the girls gave me a small trim! I love it! The color is such a bright blonde! It's perfect for me and doesn't even feel shorter! Thank you Mileena and Alyssa you are both wonderful stylists! This place is great!!
I attended and graduated from this school and I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to go into the beauty industry. I felt very prepared when taking my state board exams and I started my job at a high end salon days after my graduation! Some of my favorite parts of school were getting involved in design team and being in the phase 2 honors program and meeting some of my lifelong friends! I loved my instructors and the administrators! Now that I have been in the salon for 4 months and I have had time to reflect on my education, I have really grown to appreciate it even more! PM will always be my home!
A few days ago I went in and really wasn't expecting too much because I know it is a school so they might not be able to do everything and make it look exactly how you want, but it ended up being the best I've gotten my hair. The student I was paired with was Lauren Miller and she was very patient and would tell me and her teacher what her process was. I was interested in highlights, so we decided to do them and I absolutely did not feel like she was trying to sell them to me, Lauren was diligent and we did ombre with my hair, with two different shades. I really appreciate the patience and the effort Lauren put into my appointment. I have some pretty interesting hair that doesn't "lift" or "dry" as quickly as others. She stayed for a long time after the other students left (5 hours total appointment). I felt bad for taking up so much time, but she and the other teachers never made me feel like I was inconveniencing them at all! Lauren and the teachers were chatty and kind, and not in a fake hair stylist kind of way. I've already gotten so many compliments on my hair! Before I avoided going to hair salons because it was always so expensive for something that only left me feeling unsure and broke. But not only am I happy I chose to come here, I realize that I was so fortunate to get paired with the talented Lauren who made it such an effortless and enjoyable process.
I have very fine thin hair so it was wonderful to find Roxanne! I love what she did with my hair. The school is modern, clean, and efficient. The pricing is amazing! Try Paul Mitchell the school. Give the students a chance. There are supervisors to make sure you are satisfied with the service.
Natalia is the SWEETEST! I love going to her, she always surprises me, super talented!
Once again my hair still looks the same no blond
The stylist I went to and have been going to kiersten, she has always done such great work with my hair, everytime. I also follow her on her Facebook and instagram and her cuts and colors she has done on these people are amazing her work is absolutely flawless and I would and have recommended her to all my friends and family, so go in and ask for kiersten and ONLY kiersten for your best haircut and haircut experience.
I usually am happy with my experience at Paul Mitchell in terms of the haircut. But, this time, I never made it to the haircut. I had called earlier in the week and got a Saturday appointment with Patrick. Looking back, I usually get a reminder call, which never happened. I get to my appointment and was told that the appointment that I made "never got put in the books", but Patrick knows about it. Then I was told "Patrick is running about 45 minutes late, but I can put you with someone else". Obviously, my appointment had not gotten to the books. I then asked for the manager and was told that she had "stepped out". I asked for her email, and, when sending an email to her found out that I was given the incorrect email address by Bryttni at the front desk. I went back and got the correct email from her. Asked that the manager call me. Still waiting. Guess it's back to Aveda in downtown Denver in order to get a professional operation.
Love the instructors and the commitment to excellence.
Okay, so this place is Amazing. I came in with a picture of what I wanted. They paired me with a young girl named Cici. I showed her the picture and we talked about what I would need to achieve the look. (An extremely heavy highlight, search Cara Loren on google and you'll see what I mean). I was nervous, Cici was on the bottom floor which means she's pretty new. HOWEVER, this girl, I mean This girl had my back. She was sooooooo nice and cared about my hair. She was patient and calm even though I was more anxious than a kid on the first day of school. I asked 9,867 questions and she answered them all. I've been here many times and this was by far my favorite. I walked out of there blond and happy. Also, the prices???!!! Seriously? They are soooo affordable. $60 for a full highlight AND a toner? I almost didn't believe my ears when I heard the total. Great job, friendly people, I confidently give this 5 stars. Thank you Cici!!!
I visited this establishment yesterday to get a permanent. First thing the clerk at the front desk acted inconvenienced to talk to customers and it just went downhill from there. I have been getting permanents at various beauty schools across the country for over 20 years. First thing the price more than doubled, the price listed for a permanent is $35-45 dollars they quoted me a price of $90 since my hair would take two boxes of solution. Usually the extra box charge is $5-15. Ninety dollars is the price of a professional salon. Then they did this strand test and tried to tell me my hair was too unhealthy to get a permanent. I don’t color my hair and it has been a long while since I have gotten a permanent. I have natural curl in my hair and wanted a tighter curl. I felt as if they just didn’t want to do the rod size I wanted and I have lots of hair. I have visited the school in Colorado Springs last year and got great service on a permanent and a facial so will just go back. I recommend all do the same terrible terrible these people are guiding young cosmetology professionals.
Very cool vibe...and I absolutely love my hair! My student (Patrick) was amazing and I will be seeing him at least once a month until he graduates. He was very clear with me on expectations (lightening very dark hair) and he explained to me what he was going to do before he did it.
Awful. I have naturally medium brown hair. I asked for a slight, very natural lightening a few inches up and they dyed my whole head red-blonde. I don't suggest it.
This is a school, so my expectations were not the highest, I just wanted a simple fade from the neck, and a typical crew style top. The first student who started on my hair managed to chop it up pretty lopsided, and all shades of different lengths everywhere. An instructor came up and was able to fix this, it just took some extra time. I've heard a lot of good from several friends, and a few of them will go nowhere else. I will definitely return for future haircuts, but I figure worst case, I'll end up getting scalped.
This school is amazing! All the teachers are so helpful and I've enjoyed every minute of being here! If you're looking for new stylist, every one of these amazing people will be here for you. Every day can be a great hair day! #financialaidisawesome
I am attending this school and I believe that it is such an amazing experience. Not only are our learning leaders fantastic, but our support team is amazing as well. Valerie in financial aid always does an AWESOME job. I recommend this school to anyone looking for an uplifting time!
I am a current student at this school and I have learned a lot from the amazing teachers here. I would recommend Paul Mitchell the School Denver to anyone wanting to be a cosmetologist.
My roommate told me about this place and I gave it a chance. Thanks roomie! I came in as a walk-in and was very lucky to be taken. However, appointments are recommended which is what I did after my nicely made haircut. The instructor knows what she is doing and the students are not afraid to ask her for any suggestions. I will definitely give these guys an A+.
I've had the best service with Kiersten Gazzaway! I've been in multiple times and experimented with a few amazing colors! Great experience!
Jasmine Alvarez cut my hair and added highlights... she was very kind and the experience was very good overall!?!
The students are skilled but can be slower than a usual salon. Remember to schedule extra time for this. They are required to have sign off by an instructor. They do a wonderful job with difficult hair and explain everything
This school really knows their stuff! The staff is so knowledgeable and the students here are so outgoing and friendly! Everyone is so helpful and I love working with my clients!
I recommend Paul Mitchell Denver to anyone looking for a new stylist! It is such a wonderful experience to come in and be around so many amazing stylists. The students work so hard and the teachers are so willing to help and educated the students and clients.
I am a student here at Paul Mitchell and I can say it's been the best experience! It's such a friendly environment! Not only do we have the best learning leaders but also the best financial aid.!
The girl hung up on me after I asked a question. I called back, no response. I kept calling until someone by the name of "Brittany" answered, I requested to speak to a manager but I was transferred to a voicemail. I keep calling and no one answers. I asked if I can get a color correction procedure but the girl said they don't do it and then I told her I saw it on the website, I guess instead of saying: "Let me get someone else to help you" she decided to hung up one. Wow. Nice.
Guaranteed I will never come here again! Absolutely hated what my hair turned out like, the instructor had no sympathy and still made me pay full price.
Really enjoy going to school here great products and great education. Our teachers are amazing and it’s a really fun curriculum.
I'll give two stars for my friends attending. Since it seems that only this school and Aveda is Denver's only decent options for cosmo school. I toured this school because of the terrible and scary things I have heard about attending Aveda. I set up an appointment to tour the school, it was easy and quick and the lady was very nice who was texting me. (I forgot her name) But when the day came, I showed up about 10 minutes early. Only to wait in the lobby for 40 minutes. The girl working the front desk, I didn't catch a name but very slim figure and very short hair. She should have been my first red flag. She would roll her eyes every time a client walked away, after she hung up the phone, and after every student would walk by. If you don't like being there at Paul Mitchell, no one is forcing you to do this job you obviously hate so much. Finally after waiting 40 minutes, I was taken back to start my tour and watch some intro videos. The girl who was supposed to give me my tour was missing, no one could find her that whole time. I would have rather came back a different day than sitting in the lobby and making myself late for my own job. Then the guy who gave me the tour gave me the most half ass tour I have ever received. He rushed through the whole thing as if he was trying to get me the heck out of there. The way he presented himself was all wrong, he was cranky and grumpy and pretty much gave me the information I could have read online on their website. He never asked if I had any questions and the way he presented himself did not make me feel like it was okay to ask any questions. I had high hopes for attending here and making something out of myself with the education they provide but that tour gave me a sour taste in my mouth about Paul Mitchell as a whole. Not impressed.
I just finished core and so far it has been amazing the culture here is the best part by far can't wait to continue my journey!!!
Paul Mitchell is a great cosmetology school to come too!! Financial aid is helpful, learning leaders are amazing, and the students are amazing!! Love it here!
So, so sad. Worst haircut of my life, and it took 2+ hours (with my 5-year old tagging along!) and cost $45 (just a cut + "topcoat"=totally pointless) The instructor actually did exactly what I told the student I didn't want. The only good thing in this is that hair grows...but it's gonna be a long couple of months before it's decent length to fix :(
As a student, I can definitely say my experience at Paul Mitchell has been memorable. Valerie in financial aid is so slept on. She is amazing ! She’s always on top of everything and she never has a bad attitude about anything. She’s one of my favorites in the whole school !
I made an appointment for haircut and balayage and was paired with Michelle Wong. Michelle did an excellent job and I've never been happier with my cut and color before! I showed her a few pictures of cuts and color I was hoping to achieve and it came out perfect. Sometimes in other salons I tend to get talked into layers or something but I got what I wanted here. It can take some time, as the students are learning and meeting with their instructor while doing your hair, but it's worth it! The instructor also totals how much everything will be before the appointment so everything is clear. I had a great experience and will be going back!
An outstanding and fun experience! I've learned how to care for my hair between appointments to maintain a great look!
Love this school!!
My experience as a student here has been great! I've had a lot of support and met a ton of great people who are my clients and other students. From the beginning with Vallerie as my financial aid representative to all the instructors that have taught me so much, i highly recommend this school! :)
My daughter is a student Bella Garcia 2114...... great prices fabulous atmosphere ....I highly recommend you stop in call for appointments as well .....
I am a student here at Paul Mitchell The School Denver, and I have had an amazing experience so far. The learning leaders are so incredibly helpful and I am having so much fun learning different techniques in color and cutting! This school is full of talented men and women, and I recommend coming in and getting a service, or enrolling in our awesome cosmetology program!
I can't give it zero stars... which is unfortunate! It may not be everyone's experience, but I am upset with the learning instructors, the students and the customer service. It's a matter of respect! I walk in to the front desk with two girls who don't have the time of day to acknowledge their customers - come on. Over FOUR hours to do color, ten foils and blow-dry style. I had to run outside with color dripping from my forehead and pins in my hair to pay for parking more than once - embarrassing! The students complained about everything while working on their clients, including boys, alcohol, drugs, sex... you name it. The instructors treat the students terribly and roll their eyes at everyone - I watched them standing around chatting about eyeliner while two students at each my side were waiting their approval to start on someone's hair. I will NEVER go back, but I do wish the students well in their learning. Does the curriculum have a course on MANNERS and ethics?!
Milla Duque colors my hair and always does such a good job! She's a pleasure to talk to and is very sweet.
Amazing school and amazing staff!!!!
Took a tour with my Daughter. Think she will be goin here soon!!
Absolutely love the students, they are so cute and sweet and do such great work. Went in for a deep conditioning and was very pleased. However, the front desk ladies were very condescending and rude when I checked in. I work front desk at a salon and would never speak to guests the way they did to me. Disappointed in them, but again my actual service was wonderful.
My school experience has been awesome! Everyone’s so happy to be here and helpful! Staff rocks!
It’s is an amazing place to go to cut hair. The people there are nice and inform you on your haircut of choice. You will always leave looking fabulous
I've been going to the Paul Mitchell School for haircuts/eyebrow waxes since I moved to the Lakewood in 2012. Once you find the student for you, they are great. Since it is a school, I know scheduling around absences can be difficult so patience is key when going. I've had multiple different students throughout the years and they always pass me off to someone great!
