I had what might as well have been a single dreadlock comprised of 1/3 of my hair. Mercedes was able to detangle it very quickly and painlessly in 45 minutes, with no appointment, at the end of the day just before they closed. This is not the first time that they have saved my hair. I would give them 10 Stars if I could. They're kind of on the pricey side, but worth every penny. Thanks!

I love this salon. Susan fixed my hair after another stylist ruined it right before a wedding that I hosted at my home. She is careful, efficient and talented and does exactly what I ask for with regard to highlights and cuts. Salon atmosphere is great and front staff are friendly. Highly recommend!

I moved to Colorado Springs just over a year ago and was faced with the challenge of finding someone new to cut my hair. Eye Candy made it easy! Shannon was the stylist that first cut my hair and has been since. I walk in, I sit down and she knows exactly what I want and delivers an excellent cut every time. She also gives the best head rubs on this side of the Rockies! - The stylists at Eye Candy are professional, experienced and fun. They give you the hair cut you want, not the one they want. I definitely recommend going to them if you're looking for a quality cut and a quality experience.

I'm pretty sure most of the reviews for this place are fake. Wanted hair and makeup done for familt photos. Looking at website this place seemed nice and was priced the same as other places near Garden of the Gods. Makeup was way too heavy and there's no way she didn't know that. Eyeliner was massive and shakey. I wore stage makeup as a child and even that looked better than this :/ I washed it off when I got home and did my own. My face has been itchy since so I'm not sure if they use the quality makeup they claim to. Way to overpriced for the work done. My hair was not bad but she wanted to leave 3 large curls out. When we decided to put them back she just pinned them against my head. The hairstyle was nice but it was way tighter than I wanted/showed her. She was nice but I get the feeling she was lying to me the whole time about her experience and how everything looked, and everything else. It was very upsetting and a waste of time of money that I wish I could get back.

I have been going to Eye Candy for just over two years. The staff is amazing. My hair always looks great! Last time I went in to get my hair done Annette asked if I would let her do my eyelashes. This is a new service she is now providing. I let her do them and they look wonderful. I have never had them done before and I don't think I will every go back. So far my lashes have lasted me about 3 and a half weeks. I am going back next week to have them filled. Love them!!

about a month ago, there were 2 ladies at the store and i came in for a simple bang cut and the lady completely ruined my hair. the bangs end on the side of my face. eveyday i have a mental break down cuz its so ugly. i have to keep them clipped back and that looks bad too. and on top of that the other lady sitting at the desk started laughing at me when it was finished. never going there again.

They messed up several times, I wrote a review about it because I was so unhappy and mine and my daughters hair ended up fried!! I had a bayalage done there for over $200, the color didn’t stay in, not even a day and it didn’t look anything like what I wanted! They did get me back in but it ended up just frying my hair and still not what I wanted, not even close! I usually just get my roots done every 4 weeks and the one time I paid to get something different, it turned out terrible in my opinion :( I wrote a review, the next day I erased the review because I felt bad and wanted to give them another chance to just continue doing my roots, nothing else!!! I confirmed my appointment the day before, as they sent me a confirmation, came in for just my roots and they told me I was no longer allowed at the salon because I wrote the review! I was so embarrassed! They could have called me first and told me but didn’t! It worked out for the best because I found anoither salon, and she did an amazing job. Eye candys product also seemed to really stink like chemicals days after... I do not like their product! But 2 separate hair salon ladies there messed up. I will not mention names... one on me, another with my daughter. One of my daughters friends went there as well and had a bad experience. Live and learn. This time, I will keep the review up! If you write a review that they don’t like, don’t expect to go back

I went here for the first time in May and got a perm for a big event I was attending. I was super disappointed when after washing my hair over 60 hours later that the back was wavy but the front was totally straight. I called them and asked what they could do but had to wait 7 weeks before my next appt so my hair was not overly damaged. I was really sad because I wanted my hair to look a certain way for this event and now I was left with a head and half curly half straight hair. (I think it also had to do with 2 people being involved in the wrapping process) Anyways, they were super awesome and let me come in at the end of June to re-perm and they totally hooked me up and I didn't have to pay a dime. I absolutely love the perm I have now. Thank you Hillary!! And everyone at Eye Candy Salon for making the situation right. I do really, truly appreciate it.

Hey Everyone, I was in town for the weekend and needed an emergency fix from a brassy blonde situation. I thought it was a long-shot to get help on short notice, but to my surprise they squeezed me in. I met up with Susan Davidson, who is an amazing stylist. She fixed me right up by adding some low lights and turning the brassy into golden. The salon has a wonderful discount for newcomers and it also pays to refer. I am back in Seattle now, but would be a loyal customer if I lived in Colorado Springs. Continued success for Eye Candy Salon.

I really enjoyed the personal touch and the customer service was amazing. That being said, I paid $55 for an eyelash lift that did nothing. I was told "a lot of people think an eyelash lift makes eyelashes look curled, but it doesn't". Please don't get this service done as 'no curl or lift' is considered a result.

I will only go to Susan for waxing, she is amazing! I found the salon on Groupon and it was only my second time getting a Brazilian and I was nervous, but she made me feel super comfortable and at ease. I was very impressed by how quickly and efficiently she worked. Getting a wax isn't exactly a cup of tea, but she is gentle and makes it as painless as possible. And it doesn't hurt that her work is impeccable :)

I made an appointment to get my eyebrows waxed, two weeks in advance. I showed up for my appointment and the woman at the front desk told me that CHILDREN ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE SALON, which was something that was never mentioned to me. She then proceeded to say "He can wait in the car during your appointment.". SO unbelievable unprofessional and rude. Being a single parent, I don't get a lot of "me time". And now, according to this salon, I need to find a babysitter for a 10 minute eyebrow wax. I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK TO THIS SALON. And if the owner happens to read this review, you have lost several customers due to this new change. SEVEN other moms that I know that will no longer be going to this salon for services. You clearly do not understand the struggles of parenthood. SHAME ON YOU.

Spent 8 hours and $220 getting my hair colored black and red, it's been less than 3 weeks and all the color is gone. My hair is brown and grey again. The manager just said sorry, the red is temporary. They sure didn't say that when I was getting it done. Terrible experience. Do not recommend this place.

The place is clean and nice but when I called about what I wanted to get done verses when I was there and had a different price told to me I was in shock. My stylist also never told me I had to get special shampoo for my hair and the color washed out in two day and turned orange. I’ve tried to dye it twice since then and my hair will no longer hold any color to cover up their mistake. And I paid $180 for something that went right down the drain. Very upset! Never going back.

I would highly recommend Kiara (sorry if I spelt that wrong!) she was absolutely wonderful!! I was very, very nervous to cut my hair! I had grown it out for 5-6 YEARS and nobody had touched it since I was 16 years old. But she did an amazing job, and my hair is better than I could have imagined. Cutting my hair was a very big step for me and I am beyond thankful that I chose to go here! The atmosphere was very warm and welcoming, I even got a chai tea (which was amazing by the way). To be honest i thought that it would be a pleasant experience for my wife, however when my wife came home she was sad about how her hair had turned out. I figured i would talk to the manager about it before i write my review and honestly didn't really get any were with them so i figured i would leave the review. we went around one o'clock to check on the pricing so that way i would know how much to give my wife for her hair to be done. the lady at the front was named Annette and she said she was the best in the salon and that it would be a little on the pricey side. she said it would be 218 with her. So i figured why not 218 for the best sure, When it came time for my wife to go she said the lady did the coloring and didn't do the cut. when i emailed the manager about it the response was that Annette was overbooked. It would of been fine with me if i didn't already book three days in advance. so long story short my wife ended up with a color she didn't really want and someone else cutting her hair. i tried to at least get a portion of the money back and their defense to not being able to give me my money back was "well your wife did sign the paper agreeing to no cash refunds". Would i recommend them no i would't, we payed 218 for the "best" and got bananas. o well at least Annette did ask my wife if she minded if someone else would do the cut and my wife said no she didn't mind. however my wife was under the impression that she would be leaving given that most of the time Annette was doing her hair all Annette was mentioning was how she shouldn't even have been there.

The salon was cute, and I loved how welcoming and friendly the staff was. But as much as I liked the atmosphere, I came home from my wax to find I still had a lot of hair left over. Fully grown hair with wax still on it, which I spent close to an hour trying to clean up with tweezers. A lot of my hair wasn't grabbed out at the root, either, since I had at least 1/3 of my hair growing back within a few days after the wax. It's growing in coarse and thick enough to look like I have serious razor burn. Like the salon itself, but very disappointed in the actual results.

If you are looking for a great salon with amazing stylist go to EYE CANDY!!! I am very hard to please, and my hair is totally my "thing"!! I had been searching for a good salon for months! I called to set an appointment before they were open , and I was so please by the prompt return call! I was able to get in the same day! The salon it's self is beautiful, and super clean! The Staff are super friendly, and made me feel really comfortable! My stylist is Tara! Who by the way must have some sort of super powers, because she works magic! Between the amazing cut, and color I was super happy but the girls skills with a blow dryer are unmatched by any stylist I've ever had! I walked out of there feeling like a hundred bucks!! This place is awful. On 2 different occasions the stylist did not listen to what I wanted and messed up my hair. The first time was for a haircut where she cut my bangs too short & it is taking forever to grow out. The second time was for a blow out. I said I wanted waves & she blew my hair straight. Both times I explained the issue to the stylist & at checkout & no one tried to rectify the situation in any way. They just don't seem to care here about customer service at all. I do not recommend this place & will not be coming back.

Both my girls (14 & 10) had Annette cut their hair. Both girls are *thrilled* with their new looks after feeling quite apprehensive...they went from super long to shoulder length. Annette did a super job with both styles but what I really liked is, she spoke directly to my daughters and let THEM, not me, tell her what they had in mind. i came here for the first time because of the great reviews! All i can say is WOW, my hair looks amazing. The color is perfect and i have received so many compliments. I cant remember a time that i was so happy! The salon is beautifully decorated and the atmosphere was relaxing. I love that they have a “no child” policy because I like to come and get pampered with our kiddos crying or running around. Went to have some low lights put into my hair as I'm getting grey on top. She did my whole head, 6hrs in the chair. The bottom of my hair didn't need coloring and she was too leave the very top alone so I can grow out my hair. The color was very pretty, on the right side had a one inch streak that looked horrible.

I was emailed a promotion reading “half off any service” and when I clicked “sign up for appointment” it automatically preselected “Brazilian blowout.” the email did say “some restrictions apply” but when I scrolled to the bottom of the email it did not list any of these restrictions. After my appointment I was charged full price because apparently brazilian blowouts were not included in that promotion, despite the fact that nobody could show me where it actually said that in the email. I was very disappointed because I like this salon; however, that email was incredibly deceiving and they will no longer receive my business.

Cecilia Abell did an AMAZING job on my hair! For the longest time I've been wanting to cut my hair into a short Bob but was too afraid to do it due to the fact that I would have to cut about 5" off and finally I decided that today was the day.. Not only did she take me in right away but she was extremely patient and listened to what I wanted and made me feel comfortable with the cut.. I called to schedule an appointment at 6:50 pm on a Friday and canceled the next morning at 10 am—less than 24 hours. I was NOT told even once about a cancellation policy. Later that day they charged my account for nearly $80 and told me they had a cancellation policy where they charge for %50 of services you “would have” received. When I tried to explain to them that I didn’t have 24 hours to cancel and no one told me about the policy, they told me I was still subject to pay the money. I had to call my bank to fight on my behalf because the owner didn’t care and the managers were extremely rude. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. Their customer service is horrendous— that’s just bad business.

Was absolutely thrilled when I walked in! The salon has a ‘salon’ feel and decor, not just a place to obtain a haircut like other chains in the area. I seriously haven't been this satisfied leaving a hair salon in YEARS. Not to mention the prices are the most reasonable out of most the salons I've looked into in this area. I have been going to Annette Cummings at Eye Candy Salon and Spa for almost two years now and have never walked out disappointed. The minute you walk in your pleasantly greeted and offered a beverage. The atmosphere is very elegant and reminds me of old Hollywood with Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn photographs on the walls and a crystal chandelier hanging from the center of the salon. I asked for high and low lights with a cut. The hairdresser worked hard to talk me out of the low lights. I should have left then, but I had made arrangements to spend time there to get my hair done. My fault on that one. I did get the highlights, but she made them so small throughout that it looks like I just colored my hair instead of highlights. She took almost 3 hours to do a "half head" of highlights, just the wrapping in foil part, and I have very thin hair. She talked non-stop about her family problems. When she would ask me questions and I would answer she wasn't listening and would ask the same question again and again. She wasn't going to cut my hair till I insisted that I had asked for that when I made my appointment. I will not go back to this salon, although they have done a good job on my hair in the past.

I've been here for blowouts and they've done a pretty good job. The location is decent in the salon is really pretty. But about a Groupon online for a Brazilian and didn't know what to expect. When I made the appointment it wasn't given any instructions so when I arrived for my appointment and strip down to my nothing's the girl told me that I needed about two weeks more growth. I was really embarrassed because I didn't know and wasn't informed. She apologized but it definitely make me not really want to go back. A little more time and consideration from the person who answers the phone would have made all the difference.

I haven't been to a hair salon in years & when I made the choice to get a cut I needed a place that was open on Sundays and nearby. I googled and found Eye Candy & I'm so glad that I did. Elisha washed, cut, & styled my hair as well as did my eyebrow wax. She walked me through some options I had for potential cut styles.She was great and chatted with me the whole time. Got my daughters first haircut done by Susan and I’m 100% happy with the results! My daughter is 2 and she was very nervous and cried at first but settled down afterwards because Susan was very nice and patient with her. Will definitely recommend! I’ve had to work up a lot of courage in order to write this review. BUT, I do not recommend the waxing services here. First impressions were awful as well. One of their stylists was outside literally yelling on the phone to her boyfriend. So unprofessional. Then I went to get my Brazilian wax done and that’s where things got even worse... the owner was my waxer and she burned me :/ she also laid the wax in a terrible pattern, layered strip wax multiple times, and didn’t get all my hair. Ive been getting waxed for 6 years and I’ve never had this happen to me. Please reconsider getting waxed here. To top it all off, this was the wax for my wedding day :(my skin was flaking off and I had to pluck or shave the hairs she didn’t get after it healed. Terrible experience.

LOVE this place! When I first moved to COS a year and a half ago, I had been dyeing my own hair and just going to SuperCuts or something for a trim since I like to keep it long. I bounced around between stylists for my first 3 visits and then randomly called on a Wednesday when my roots had become too much to bear and they fit me right in with Susan, who was new. The previous stylists hadn't saved my color so it took a few minutes to find a match but when we did, it was dead on. I made my next appointment with Susan and never looked back since! The service is awesome. Kimmy at the reception desk is always super friendly and funny! Susan and I have a great rapport going, she always knows what I want, she is funny and easy to talk to. She gets my sense of humor and doesn't judge me when I'm practically falling asleep after getting my hair washed! My hair is healthier than it has ever been, too! Overall, my experience is always fantastic. Robbie is a great new addition to their staff, too. He keeps everyone in the whole salon laughing and joking together. It's a great atmosphere and I highly recommend it!

I’ve gone to eye candy before and they turned a horrendous mess into something that I was happy with. I’m talking my hair was a shade of blonde with horrid brass. When I was done there it looked fairly close to my natural Hair even though it was short. I decided to go back and I just got my hair done yesterday 7/15/18. It was easy to make an appointment they got back to me in a timely manner. I believe it was Hillary who did my hair. I’m a very very picky person. I wanted my hair cut and layered with some color. The service took three times longer than expected and I have two sisters in another state who have done my hair for years and it never has taken this long nor did they quote me anywhere near what they really charge. I was quoted 200 and paid 550. That was for my haircut my daughter's hair cut and changing my hair from Red back to blonde. I would never recommend them or use them again. Each time I post they also find a way to delete it. Speaks very poorly on their behalf.

Went in to get my hair highlighted along with a brow and eyelash tint. Was very convenient booking an appointment and the salon was very prompt and professional. My eyelash and brow tint was great. Unfortunately my highlight really only looked like a root touch up and my hair was about the same color. I reached back out to the salon letting them know that I was not happy with it and the got be back in two days after my appointment with a different stylist that was available. They had issues with lighting it again and blamed it on my hair being dyed black over four years ago which has since been blonde and didn’t have issues. My hair ended up very brassy because of this and not really looking like highlights instead an all over color on the top of my head which was not really the look I was going for. Ultimately they did get it lighter. I’m not sure if understood that I did NOT want to go blonde only that I wanted to be lighter than my current highlights-this could be my fault on miscommunication and explaining it wrong. I never said I wanted to be blonde. Just that I wanted to be lighter. unfortunately now I feel like the only thing to do to get this brassy color out is to go lighter again next time or back dark. Also my underneath color is a lot more dark than my top so If I go lighter again I’ll have to get that touched up so it does not look weird. I’m giving this 3 stars still because of how professional and kind the salon was. I’ve never had to go back in to a salon to get my hair re-done. It is lighter so they did what I asked-like I said just was not the look I was going for and I've never had this issues in the many years I've been doing my hair. I appreciate them taking the time to re-do it. Hopefully I can get the brassy color out :/
