I give five stars because of wonderful service and communication with my stylist Sarah Wolf. She's honest with whats going to be done which I enjoy very much. I got a balayage but I had box dye already in my hair. She lightened as much as she could which I'm glad she did. I'm happy with the progress my hair made but I hope to get it lighter some time in the future. Despite that, I do love the change in my hair and it is still healthy. We talked about what was gonna happen and it happened. Would definitely come again. Thank you.

I went in for a women’s haircut and I am so happy with how everything turned out. My stylist, Ashley was attentive, she listened to what I wanted and checked in the whole time to make sure I was satisfied. She explained what she was doing and why and my hair came out EXACTLY how I wanted it and I am so relieved. The salon itself is clean, cute and comfortable. There is not a snooty salon feel. Everyone in there seems happy and they are all kind. I will absolutely be back!

They do free consultations which is awesome to be able to just go and talk with a stylist. I scheduled with Jennafer as she had amazing reviews and now I know why! I went in today to get some of the length taken off of my hair to deal with the summer heat. The whole place was spotless! The gentleman at the desk too my info and offered me a drink right away! They have a variety of offerings including sparkling watwr and wine but I chose water today.and it was ice cold without even having ice in it! The lady who did my hair was AMAZING! She didn't just hack away at my hair. She was very detailed in her questions so she could get a better feel of exactly what I wanted! She hit the nail on the head with this style! It's shorter with layers and fun but still long enough to all go up in a pony tail! I LOVE it! DEFINITELY recommend!

I had Sarah add layers to my hair and give me bangs. Sarah was great and very friendly. She took the time to hear exactly what I wanted and my concerns and fears of trying bangs again. I may have not 100% liked my hair when I had left because bangs are a huge change but they're growing on me and I am liking them now. Another thing that blew me away was her care for her customers, our 1 hour time slot was up and she had another person waiting for their appointment but she insisted on finishing my hair cut and giving me exactly what I wanted instead of handing me off to a coworker to finish up. I feel that could be more rare among the salons that pay their employees hourly. How she handled going over our appointment time shows how dedicated of a hair dresser she is and in turn reflects on the salon itself. Thank you Sarah!

Had a great experience at Do the Bang Thing salon. First, my stylist, Sarah, gave me a great hair wash with a scalp massage. At other salons, it was sometimes painful on my neck to lay in the hair washing bowl. These were pretty ergonomically correct. Nice! My hair is natural gray and no one made any suggestions to add color or highlights, which I appreciated. My haircut is great! I recommend this salon.

I’ve been seeing Andrea Porter for a couple of years now. I’m very particular about my hair and I’ve never colored it. Every other hairdresser I’ve ever found has tried so hard to get me to color my hair and tried to sell me so many products every time I’m in the salon. I just want a quality haircut and a pleasant experience when I get my haircut. I’ve had the best haircuts of my life from Andrea, she asked me about coloring my hair once or twice and it was more so to caution me against what others night reccomend because I’ve never colored it before. She always tells me what products she’s using but never pushes me to purchase them like other salons I’ve been to. I have a lot of hair and usually take an appointment and a half and I warn hairdressers every time I book an appointment. Andrea was the first one in 28 years to really take her time with my cut and style it. I can’t count how many times I’ve left salons with wet hair because the hairdresser made me feel guilty for delaying their schedule when they didn’t take me seriously about how long my hair takes to cut. I try very hard to be a no fuss customer, I’ve always had an incredible experience in Do The Bang Thing and especially with Andrea. Highly recommend!! Also, Ben who handles their scheduling (and I’m sure that’s not his only role in the salon) always greets you with a sincerity that starts your appointment off wonderfully! I feel like many salons have curt or rude folks working their front desk and handling scheduling so it’s worth noting how wonderful he is!

I've never enjoyed a salon before I found Do The Bang Thing. I know that sounds cliche, but it's true. I went in for a haircut and had such a wonderful experience and walked out loving my hair. My stylist, Ashley, has been amazing ever since. Because of that amazing hair cut, I was able to trust her to play with lightening up my hair which is something I thought about for years but never had the courage to do. She did it in several sessions so as to maintain the integrity of my hair, which I truly appreciate. The products they use are wonderful, because even though I've lightened my hair, it's not once felt unhealthy because of it. The salon itself is run well, clean, and the staff seem happy. The absolute best part is that this past year they have partnered with Girls Inc. of Denver and donate a portion of all services to help build confidence in young women. All of their stylists have amazing portfolios, you can't go wrong here, (but my stylist Ashley is the best).

Worst experience here. I was a first time customer, and when I called to book I informed them of my super long/thick hair knowing it would take longer. Was there for three hours to leave with wet hair, a massive knot, and a poor quality color job. My “balayage” looks like worn out -grown out highlights. Dania my stylist, handled the situation like a child and didn’t apologize until I gave her my two cents. On top of all of that she still charged me. I don’t think after you leave a client in pain, without what they wanted, and a huge knot, you should charge them anything. She frantically pulled on my knot for 30 minutes, and was brushing from the top down (making it worse) all while huffing/puffing/rolling her eyes/and looking at the clock. I couldn’t believe what was happening... it was absolutely ridiculous. She wasn’t professional, she rushed, she made me feel like it was my fault my hair was tangling and that she was running late. Only positive thing was the other stylist that stepped in and tried to help. She happened to be calm and professional, and Dania should’ve taken notes. Not writing this review to get anything back, just informing future clients. You couldn’t pay me enough to go back to Dania! Google doesn’t seem to let you leave pictures, but I will be sure to do so on other sites. Went here because of the good reviews, left with the overall worst beauty experience I’ve EVER encountered in my entire life.

I booked an appointment on line for a partial highlight and a hair cut. When I arrived at the salon I had a reference photo for how I would like the my hair color to look like. My color ended up looking nothing like my reference photo. Although my cut was done nicely. When I called to discuss the issue with the salon owner she told me that due to the type of appointment that I had scheduled the stylist did not have the time to achieve the look I was going for. Which was never explained to me at my actual appointment. The salon owner became extremely defensive when I informed her that there was a lack of communication from the stylist. The owner kept on interrupting me when I was trying to discuss the issue. Liking your hair is not a guarantee as noted on the website.

I brought my daughter in here to have her hair dyed a fashion color. It was the first time we had done a fashion color. I found them because their website had great information on it. The guy managing the front desk was extremely helpful over the phone, explaining the process and requirements. He recommended an appointment with Jennafer. Jeannafer was amazing! She took the time to explain everything to us ahead of time and helped us make the best decisions for my daughter. My daughter is only 9 years old and she took great care of her and made her feel comfortable. The 2 tone color turned out amazing and better than expected. The appointment was 4 hours long. The salon has a great work table with outlets that I was able to get work done while there. The whole staff seemed wonderful. I saw various age ranges of people coming in and out and all were treated as special guests. I was offered various drinks while I was there. Overall it was a great experience and I would recommend the salon to anyone.

The receptionist provides excellent service*** I really enjoyed my haircut by Ashley, and my review would have been 5 stars if not for a product I was sold. I bought a $30+ dry shampoo that they suggested for me, but it turns out it was used. I got 2 uses out of it before it was empty. Gretchen was awesome! She was super positive and friendly. She made me feel comfortable and uplifted about getting bangs (which I’ve never had my entire adult life), and I don’t regret it! Love my haircut! Plus, the place in general was cute and everyone there was super friendly. I enjoyed every part of it.
