These 5 stars are for Brea Chaney. She did an awesome job on my cut and highlight. She listened intently and asked a zillion questions before she ever began. I was so thrilled with the results I want to shout it from the highest mountain. I owned salons for 30 years and retired 4 years ago when I moved to Denver. I have looked high and low for someone to do my hair, every experience being poor either with a dirty salon, a foul mouth or a bad job. After getting to know Brea I found out Brea was top of her class at the Aveda Institute in Denver. I happen to know that it's the second rated beauty college in the nation....NY being first! I'm not surprised that's where she was trained! She is seriously one of the best stylist I have ever had the pleasure of doing my hair. She has raw talent and knows her stuff. What I had her do was take my brown hair to platinum grey so my roots were not showing all the time. I know how difficult this is and thought it would take several visits....nope one visit exacuted perfectly. My senior stylist I've had working for me through the years couldn't have done better. You go Brea and please don't forget about me when you get fully booked!

I made an appointment to get my hair dread locked... when I showed up the salon wasn't even open. I waited for 15 mins then called the store left a message and went back home. They called back 45 mins later and told me there was a mix up and to come right in. I came in and felt like the girl didn't have enough time for me at all. She rushed through the process and didn't give me very much up keep information at all! She handed me a piece of paper with simple instructions and told me to call with any questions. Two months later my dreads looked like crap!!! I ended up going to a different salon to have them fixed.. $300 is a lot of money and I feel like it was completely wasted.

I had to wait 2 hours after my scheduled appointment because the booking before me ran over. On the plus side the atmosphere is so lovely, it doesn't matter. I am not 100% in love with my hair. I may make another appointment somewhere else because the back of my hair just isn't doing it for me. The products are cruelty-free and that is super important when it comes to selecting a salon.They're a green company because they recycle and use a carbon filter in their sinks so that's awesome! It's quite pricey, but everyone is super nice and Aura did a nice job though and I did get a complimentary hair oil treatment because I waited for so long. Street parking only. I came in seeing if they would take a walk-in half expecting them to be booked up but Ashley had just had a cancellation so she was able to fit me in for a pixie cut. She obviously really loves what she’s doing and that made the service phenomenal. She took her time and worked so perfectly with my face shape and my hair texture and the cow licks all over my head. It was such a good service, she’s good at what she does and you’ll feel so welcome in her chair.

Amazing work by Brea, I absolutely love her work. Super fast and tight. I came in for just maintenance on homemade dreadlocks but she was able to finish my entire head and add in some fun extensions. I would definitely recommend any stylist from the looks of others work but I had Brea and definitely recommend her! She was super friendly and gave me tons of advice and tips on at home self care, as well as, a tightening product which smells wonderful Dollylocks!

DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL. Used to be good, and I used to be a regular, but it has gone way downhill. I showed up at early for an appointment, and they were TWENTY (20) MINUTES LATE. I waited in the salon for 15 minutes without so much as a peep out of the new receptionist. Literally no one took two seconds to get off their butt and say "Hey running a bit late" "sorry for the inconvenience" "looks like your 2:30 is looking more like a 2:50" zip nada. Everyone is human and whenever I'm late for an appointment, I at least have the courtesy to call ahead and let folks know. The receptionist then called me after I left, and to explained that because I arrived early, I should be fine with waiting a half hour after my appointment came and went. Of course I appreciated the receptionist's snark after hearing nothing from her the entire time I was waiting. Oh and the kicker is that the management made no attempt to reach out to me.

She told me about 3 Little Birds Salon. I followed up with her suggestion and I am so happy I did. I met with Paige for a consultation a week and half before my dread journey and she was just so open and welcoming and explained everything about the process. It made me feel really comfortable about my decision of starting my dread journey! And here I am as we speak , I am sitting here on my 27th birthday and my hair is almost done! I am so happy and excited and pleased of my results so far! I will defiantly recommend Paige and 3 Little Birds Salon to everyone I encounter about my dreads ! Also , even if you are not going on a dread journey, just simply getting your hair done, this Salon is the place to go. I absolutely love 3 Little Birds Salon! As a woman with curly hair (3B) I always dreaded going to new hair stylists and getting ANYTHING done. Let me tell you, I will never go anywhere else after discovering Shelbi and the rest of the 3LB family/team! I went from black to blonde and my hair has never looked (and felt) better! They knew how to cut, style, and even advised on curly hair care and I was impressed with how everyone there was very relaxed and friendly. It's not about getting your hair done and get out, it's about creating a creative look and making new connections. The atmosphere there is also incredible. I felt like I was in a unique salon that I couldn't see/experience anywhere else in Denver. Definitely a must for anyone with curly hair OR anyone looking for a friend or family that will take care of you (with the bonus of a great new look).

Came in 7/3/2018 for a full dreadlock installation. From beginning to end, the entire experience was magnificent! The relaxed atmosphere helped the 5 hour install pass by swiftly. Paige was very personable and friendly and left no doubts to her exceptional skill! Simply put; having dreadlocks is not a a decision I made lightly. I wanted them to be done by a professional, and drove 8hrs to ensure they were done right the first time. I could go on and on, but a picture is worth a thousand words. I'll update this in a year or so to show off how my dreads have matured. But in the meantime, I am absolutely satisfied and delighted.

Is missed an appointment my second time here. My grandfather died. The third time I came in. They didn't have me in the schedule even I waitthough soi made an appointment. I waiting 3 hours. Since then when I call and say my name they raised the prices on me, have a deposit and treat me like I'm not gonna pay them. Page does great work, but the customer service is garbage. After reading all the reviews for this salon, I was really looking forward to a hair cut. I only wanted my hair trimmed (1/8 inch off the ends) yet my entire hair was thinned out! This thinning process called texturing yet it seriously took lots of my hair out. It will honestly take months and months for my hair to look and be able to be styled. Overall, I am not happy with the way my hair looks! How does a simple hair trim turn out so bad?

This is a wonderful salon. It is not your fantastic sams, or great clips. Much more classy than Floyd's but not your typical salon. Lots of plants open feel. Want a cup of tea? They have it. Would you rather a glass of wine? They have that too. Neither one of those tickle your fancy? How about some sage? Done. Bree was fantastic. Check them out. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

I gave 3 Little Birds Salon a call about three weeks before my wedding at the Clock Tower after reading excellent reviews on Yelp. Sarah Bee helped me via email correspondence afterward to set up everything and was very responsive. I had mentioned in our correspondence that someone in my bridal party had a health condition and was a bit embarrassed to have her hair done. They were very sensitive to the issue and I was so thankful! I was pleased to hear that a trial run of hair and makeup was included in the price for the bridal package since I had never been to this salon before and couldn't try it out as I was planning the wedding from my home in Houston. I was also excited that they would come to the venue to complete their services, which cut down on running around on the big day. The prices were very reasonable: Bride $165 Bridal Style with trial run $100 Bridal Makeup with trial run Wedding Party $75 Updo $60 Half Updo $55 Iron Curl $45 Blow Out $40 Flower Girl Style $65 Full Makeup $45 Partial Makeup Half of the amount was charged to my card when I booked the appointments and the rest was paid on the day of my wedding. The trial run was done at the salon, which had a very laid-back, funky vibe with fun decor and music playing. I had asked for a more classic style and provided some Pinterest images as a reference. My stylist (I'm so sorry - I cannot remember her name for the life of me) did a beautiful job, although my hair didn't really look like any of the photos I had provided. I walked out of the salon with a gorgeous do that looked to be from the 1930-40s and that I needed a sailor to dip me. The only issue was that none of my family recognized me with heavy/bold makeup or the up do - my own father walked right by me on the street when he came to pick us up and my fiance had no idea who I was when I walked in the hotel room. Doing the trial run the day before was perfect because I was already made up for the rehearsal dinner. It was awesome and I highly recommend it! The day of my wedding, my maid of honor, flower girl and I chose just to do hair styles, which turned out beautifully. My officiant had her hair and makeup done and looked amazing. I asked that my hair be altered a little and brought down closer to the base of my neck so my family would recognize (most importantly the man I was about to marry), and the stylist did exactly as I asked. The pin curls she added were gorgeous and I was very happy with how everything turned out. I did decide to let my sister do my makeup, just so it would be a bit more subtle and natural. The stylists from 3 Little Birds Salon worked quickly and efficiently, which was a relief. I'm really low-maintenance and was worried about sitting for hours at a time, but it took approximately 30 minutes for the stylist to finish my hair once the rollers were removed. The girls that came to help us that day were very sweet as well. I'd recommend them to anyone looking for hair and makeup for their special occasion.

My girlfriend got charged 50 dollars for a regular haircut and shampoo. So I guess if you make 80k+ a year and dont mind wasting your money its a great place.

I don't even know where to start, let's just say I would HIGHLY recommend avoiding getting your hair cut here if you have curly hair. Curly hair should be cut dry but how my hair was "cut" was dry, combed though, and then RAZORED. My ends are so frazzled, dry, and just feel awful now. All I wanted was layers, instead by hair was razored from multiple angles and the end result is me looking like a disco ball. I don't know where the miscommunication happened but now I need to find another salon to take me in to fix is AWFUL haircut.

This place is amazing! It is the coolest salon, with tons of plants and a beautiful set up. Jessica did my cut and color and I LOVE it. She got the color just right, exactly the golden hue I was looking for. I have thin curly hair and she cut it so that it falls well naturally and I don't have to curl it all the time. She's also just a gem and wonderful to chat with as she does your hair. Also, the products that they use for color are amazing and do not dry your hair out. It is a bit expensive but definitely worth it. Highly recommend.

I had a very poor experience here. The owner of the salon overbooked my appointment time and wasn't going to be able to see me until an hour after my scheduled appointment however did not contact me prior to that time to let me know or offer to provide any compensation in my $160 treatment for this mistake. She was also extremely rude and unprofessional and held to her belief that she would be able to do job that normally takes 1.5-2 hours in half of that time without compromising any quality on a new client. This was the worst service I have had at a salon and I would not recommend risking trying 3 Little Birds as there are several excellent salons in the metro Denver area.

BEST salon in Denver. The aesthetic is amazing for starters! Plants everywhere, cozy layout, friendly, chill vibe. I got a balayage and cut with Jessica E. and I’m OBSESSED. From the moment I walked in she made me feel comfortable, listened to my concerns about a previous color I had (my hair was LITERALLY breaking off), and the result made me so so happy. She gave me direction about what to do for the dryness and breakage, recommended some shampoo and conditioner. She then took off a couple inches after explaining this was really the only option for the shape my hair was in. After seeing how gorgeous the color came out I trusted her to do what she needed and my hair feels 800x better now. I will be back for sure, and I’m sending my best friend in to see her next week too!
