I have been seeing Patty Nguyen for the past several years, but apparently loyalty does not mean anything to her. She gave me a really bad hair cut. (miscommunication-I'm partly to blame as well.) But when I went in to seek help to fix the situation, she refused and was mad at me for complaining! I thought she was very unprofessional in the way she handle the situation.

Generally pleased with service here. Have been several times a year for at least the past 5 years. Though made an appointment today arrived early, they pushed back my appointment an hour which was ok, then called me and said they couldn't accommodate me today. Competent front staff seems to be an ongoing issue. Mad about it because I rarely get to have time to get my hair done with work and kids schedules, and just took off my afternoon from work. What a waste of time. Maybe I will be able to find an appointment elsewhere on this short notice.

I've been going there for several years. The same girl did my hair. She moved and I tried a new girl today. She had a poor attitude and kept telling me she can "work on that more in the future" when I pointed out that I was unhappy with the results. The girl who rinsed my hair was too busy talking with a guy and sprayed my face between long pauses to continue her flirting. I was told it would be $75 and was charged $85. My hair looks terrible. What angers me even more is that I drive 1.5 hours each way to this salon because I got superb service from the girl who moved and I would have driven further and paid more because she was so great. Sadly, the salon lost the only good colorist they had.

I got a disaster of a haircut from a nearby budget haircut chain (rhymes with Late Snips) a few days before a wedding, and I came to TONI&GUY in dire need of some corrections. They turned my haircut from disastrous to perfect in about 10 minutes. I honestly didn’t think it could be saved, but they did it! This is the place I’ll come to for a haircut from now on - everyone here is a professional who has been cutting hair for a long time, and the service is exceptional as well. 5 stars, and thanks for saving me for this wedding!

I have been to several Toni&Guys and I have loved all of them except this one. No one here listens! The colorist didn't listen to what I wanted. I told her I wanted a full color she assumed I wanted full Highlights. When I pointed it out to her, she got upset. She said it was to late to go back and then instead of apologizing she just continued to argue with me saying thats what I wanted. No! you just don't listen. I wish I could say she was the only one who didn't listen but the the lady cutting my hair didn't pay attention either. I have naturally curly hair, the lady refused to work with it. She told me she could only cut hair if it was blow dried straight. How are you a hairstylist if you can't work with hair! But fine! I agreed as long as she layered it, so when I washed it and styled it myself it would still look good....she didn't even layer it she just blow dried it straight and cut the bottom. She also tried thinning it but I wouldn't let her cause you don't do that to curly hair! I have never been to a salon where the hair dressers are so eager to ignore you and with such little confidence that they can only do basic hair cut. This salon does not live up to the Toni&Guy standard. I would not recommend coming here.

One of my favorite things about having my hair cut is how nice and soft it feels after, I did NOT get that enjoyment. I went in to get a cut and highlights and came out with fried hair. It has now been two month and I have been trying to cut out the burnt ends of my hair but it is only getting worse. I don't get my hair colored very often and this is the second time I have ever had highlights. The girl was very distracted while doing my hair and it took her so long that by the time she washed the dye out of my hair it had been over an hour since she had started. I asked her to cut off two inches and she cut off well over three. My hair feels coarse and needs a deep conditioning treatment now. After $180, and my hair being ruined, I will never come back here.

So my wife had someone who was going to put in extensions for her but canceled at the last second. She was frantic..i jumped on line to see if i could find someone who could help her last second. She already had the extensions but needed tape. We drove to the salon and talked to Tara and she said she could work with the extensions and tape cost would be 120 and 55 for the coloring. Next day my wife called from the salon and said she didn't have enough cash. They charged her 50.00 to clip her bangs . I told my wife as long as she was happy with her hair then it was well worth it and she was till the next day it took a grand total that's two days for every hair extension in her head to fall out. When I called and spoke with Tara she said just come back and she would redo it bring a different type of tape but that's not what she told me originally she told me originally that she can work with that tape and work with that hair. My wife felt very apprehensive about returning at that point. To be honest i felt totally robbed. We've talked to several stylist who said it was a shotty job at best. I don't appreciate being quoted one price and then being charged another.

Was in yesterday told my stylist that I wanted a haircut like on of the other stylists in the salon. She has that person come over we chatted so that she knew what I was looking for, she asked me what I liked about that style, I told her the volume the way it went behind her ear. My hair came out a chopped up mess, looks nothing at all like the style I wanted. Was never shown the back and how it looked and now I know why. Was there over an hour and a half for the worse haircut I have ever received. I have been going there for about 3 years have never had such a bad experience. This girl needs to find another career choice. I could not tell her how bad it was while I was there I was so embarassed and livid, I walked to my car in tears. It is so short it can not even be fixed, parts of my hair are standing straight up with less than an inch of hair, the sides and back are totally chopped, nothing is blended. The girl told me not to talk while she was doing my hair that she needed to concentrate, that should have been my clue. I always get a mid level stylist, I am sure that this person is not. Savanah is her name, buyer beware. The 1 star is for the shampoo and conditioner.

Thanks to Katie for ruining my hair :( all I asked for was a straight cut and to keep it thick .i went home with half my hair gone ;( she thinned my hair without me knowing .. there’s hair cut to my scalp when I run my fingers through it . Worst experience . I would not want anyone to be in my situation. I had to put one star so that I can post my review. My experience with this salon was very disappointing. They literally botched my highlights. I asked for natural medium blonde highlights, no gold or red hues. After 5 hours of them trying to fix their color mistakes, I left with medium to dark red highlights. I’ve had highlights in my hair for many years so I’m familiar with the process. In retrospect this experience felt less like an established salon and more like a training center. I do agree with other reviews, the stylists are nice.

Not great! I phoned ahead & said I needed a blow dry with someone who has experience blow drying hair with Keratin Bonds & that I wanted a curly blow dry. Initially what I got was an inexperienced stylist so we agreed I would wait for someone with more experience.....I waited over 30 minutes & it wasn’t worth the wait (baring in mind I arrived with washed wet hair) $55 later my hair was actually worse than when I do it myself & the curls that the stylist tonged fell out within 10 minutes of me leaving the salon! I won’t go back!

Linda gave me what I would consider to be the best haircut of my life! That's not an exaggeration in the slightest. My mom is white and my dad is middle eastern. I have BIG HAIR. It's long, heavy, curly/frizzy. My hair tends to take on a mushroom/triangle shape. I sat down and told Linda about how I want a cut that gets rid of the triangle effect and gives me a little volume in the back of the crown of my head (where men tend to go bald). She used this amazing technique where she took off some of my hair towards the bottom where it gets bulky. I only go to expensive salons to get my haircut and I've seen a lot of techniques, but have never seen anyone use hers. She's like an artist with scissors! Go see Linda if you have bulky curly/frizzy hair. She'll change your life! SERIOUSLY!!

I got a haircut maybe 2 months ago. I wasn’t going to post this review because I had so many great years here when jaylynn worked here, but since she left I decided to get somebody new. I won’t post her name as this wasn’t on purpose but I cry all the time looking in the mirror and seeing that she accidentally cut my eyelashes and they still haven’t grown back. Maybe do some additional training in regards to this. Some people have very long lashes and she cut off quite a bit of mine while cutting my bangs.

Yesterday I had my hair done by Rosie in T&G Fashion Island and I must say I am deeply disappointed. I know how hard it is to find a good hairstylist, how hard it is to explain what you need, so that is why I brought with me a picture of the haircut I wanted. It was a Square layer haircut from the basic T&G course that you can easily find at toniandguyeducation website. I have been a model few times in T&G academy in another country, I had this partucular haircut done twice, so I knew exactly how it should be done. I supposed everyone, that works in T&G should be able to "repeat" this basic haircut. Obviously, I was wrong. Rosie didn’t recognise the haircut and said to me that I had a bit shorter hair than a model on the picture. Maybe my hair was indeed a little bit shorter than model's, but maybe one inch shorter, if that. I don't think, that it has anything to do with layers and shape of the haircut I wanted. Finally she cut all of my hair in one staight line and told to me that this is the only way to keep volume on the back. I don't think cutting my hair in the strait line constitutes T&G standards. It was my second visit to Tony&Guy salon in OC. First time I visited salon in Irvine Spectrum and had a haircut done by Alex there. I also was not thrilled about it, but it was not like this. I had such a wonderful experience with T&G in Europe, but here I don't think I have any positivity left to try T&G service again.

Paul was very confident in her abilities and allowed me relax on the spot! Song did a terrific job with my unruly, naturally frizzy hair. Smooth finish that highlighted the perfect color. Excellent experience with a well trained staff from start to finish!

I read the reviews for this Salon before going in and had high hopes for leaving very happy. Well, I almost cried twice on the way home. The girl who colored my hair was Kristen. I showed her a picture of exactly what I wanted. As soon as she started coloring my hair, I was worried for the outcome. I have brown hair and showed her a picture of a girl with deep purple hair. She bleached my entire head, to the point of my scalp stinging and my hair was different shades orange. Then she put the color in, but she put in like any 8th grade girl would've. She didnt section it out and brush the color in from root to end...she just slapped it on and ran it down my uncombed, now ratty hair, with her fingers, twisted it all together and then walked away. I then sat there for 45 minutes while my scalp was stinging the entire time...again. I have had my hair colored at home and at the salon more times than I can count and NEVER ONCE has my scalp stung. NEVER. I've even bleached my own hair and dyed it blue (this was in high school) and even then, my scalp never stung. So obviously, this girl was doing something wrong. Then it comes time to finally wash it out, she asks me if I'd like my hair dried...duh...and she practically pulls out all my hair in the process of brushing and combing. You wanna know why? Because she brushed from the very top of my hair, down. Not from the bottom of my hair, to the top. Not only that, but she admittedly didnt conditioner my hair (and playfully laughed about it), which HELLO!!! You just damaged the hell out of my hair...CONDITION IT. I will NEVER EVER go here again, nor will I EVER speak highly of this place. I left with red/orange hair that was splotchy and extremely damaged...there wasnt even any purple in my hair! Even my new stylist (Katie B, Salon Palazzo...AMAZING!) said that she has had several people come in for fixes from this Salon. DO NOT GO HERE!!!

First time going to Toni&Guy and had a good experience. I got my hair done by Sheena L. and really like that she listened to me on how I wanted my hair. She is really nice and accommodating. I decided to bring my boyfriend because he was in really need of a haircut but was reluctant to see "just anyone" because he was not getting the cut he wanted. I made an appointment online, completely hassle free. I showed up on time and Sheena did a wonderful job on his hair. She cut his hair in the exact style he wanted and made good decisions in making the cut personable to him. She is good at what she does and gives helpful hair care advice. The place is nice, welcoming and clean.
