The best haircut I've ever gotten! Jimmy saved my hair today after I thought it was beyond repair! My hair was butchered by a stylist at another salon a year ago, and I was shocked that in just one visit he was able to get it back to BETTER than ever before! My only regret is that i waited this long to have him fix it! Thank you so much, I will definitely be back! And the best part: only $18!! Top notch quality for an amazing price!

I've gone there several times and I have no idea why. I've hated what they've done every time and I gave them specific instructions. If I were you, honestly I'd drive out to Temecula and go to Great Clips. It's worth it. (I don't know how they are with longer hair but for shorter hair they seem to be clueless)

I know you would really like this salon for you and your family. Many of the stylists have been here the whole time I've been here... which is over 20 years! That says a lot about a company. Other salons have a lot of turnover. I like that they keep their prices affordable. I really like that they don't rush me through. Even after 20 years, they still take the time to suggest things that will make my hair look better, like their men's color...I look as young as when I first started coming here. You will find them to be very professional and friendly. Coming here for so long, I can say why they have survived over 30 years.

Kian is a talented stylist and so personable. I have hair that's partly curly and partly straight , not ebay to style. He's always worked magic with it and. Leave feeling refreshed and renewed. His personality is a real plus to. Unpretentious atmosphere and reasonably priced. Highly recommend.

I waited a week to decide what to do. I could just write the review but that doesn't give the business a chance to fix the situation. However if I go back and I lose more length on my hair or get another bad cut that I didn't request, then it's a lose-lose for me. I opted the review and let my hair grow out fixing it myself. The reason I I had a stylist was because it's the holidays/working overnights, and no time to cut it myself (since 2016). So I figured I would get a "professional" cut and get more time for holiday shopping. I feel it important to note I know what I'm doing, I even asked the stylist and she said it was fine - when it comes to cutting, I'm no noob. Before starting, I must say my phone interaction with the receptionist was superb. I explained to her every hair cutter I have ever been to, except one, in my life time has not delivered was I asked for. This is why I choose to cut my own hair. The receptionist assured me no need to worry as the stylists had been with the company many years and most have 10+ years experience. This really did assure me, so I booked. Anywho, I got in, was warmly welcomed, so points for that ( I should notate, I went here with my male friend). Once called upon, Brooke introduces herself, I show her a picture of an emo haircut, I explain I don't want the emo part, just the ends - feathery and thinned out. I used old photographs of myself with this look, and asked for a V shape of the hairline in the back. Simple. No layers, maybe a little face framing. She washes my hair, with purple shampoo (bonus points to her). It certainly saved me from washing it again at home. Once back in the chair, she combs and then starts cutting, informing me the v shape won't be as deep to save length (which is was adamant about) but I needed about an inch to two taken off. I begrudgingly agreed. As she was cutting she asked me if I was getting a blowdry that day. I didn't understand, and she explained I could get a cut for $20 or a cut and blowdry for $40. If my cut is simple, no styling necessary, why the heck am I paying for $20 of electricity (points deducted my male friend got to have his hair blow dried and styled with gel for the same price as what it costs for me to walk out with a wet head)? I told her no to the blow dry since it's wasn't a complex cut, not easy to botch it up. I will note she used the hair dryer on my bangs (which I had to ask 3 times to go shorter). As she continues she makes small talk (points for that), but I personally prefer my stylists quiet because then I know 100% of their focus is on the cut at hand. Once finished I tried to inspect but the mirror was hung to the side so it was difficult to see the back (points taken away), a broad v, I figured I could deepen it once my hair grew. I got home and dry it (a total of 5-10 minutes) - looks choppy. So I straighten it (another 5-10 minutes) - still looks choppy. Now here is the kicker, I should have asked but I entrusted her... Not once did she used thinning sheers or the razor to get that thinned out feathery look I specifically requested for the ends (you can do this with the blade of the scissors at angle which to my knowledge she didn't know just snipped the ends so it wasn't as blunt and straight). My ends we're mostly straight, no thinning or feathery look, however, there are random bits and sections that seem chopped off... how do I explain this, there are parts shorter than the ends in the middle of the head. This is not layering I'm not sure what she was going for but it's not was I asked. (So points taken away). All in all, I say 2-stars for my personal experience because of the welcoming atmosphere and my positive experience in scheduling the appointment and the chattiness of Brooke (which again I'm sure most patrons expect). Would I go back here? Maybe with Jimmy (only if I find myself short for time) since everyone seems to like him, or the stylist my friend went to because she delivered what he specifically asked for, but not with Brooke.

So glad I found a small-town hair salon with big-city talent! The staff is so friendly, they're like a little family that welcomes you with open arms. Turns out that they've been in business 31 years, and it shows. I always come out looking and feeling like a million bucks. I get compliments on my hair constantly, which is awesome. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.

California Cuts similar to Fantastic Sams? I was recommended here by my Mom who loved her stylist. She swore by him. I was excited. I got my hair cut, but he was over an hour late because the woman before me "suddenly decided she wanted her hair colored". (So tell her no? Have someone else do it? I sat in a chair waiting for over an hour, because I'd arrived a few minutes early, as a courtesy) He did a good job assessing and cutting my hair, but he talked over me to everyone the entire time, didn't shampoo or style my hair. He actually told me I didn't want my hair styled because it was late at night and I didn't style it anyway. And was insinuating he had another hair cut to get to someplace else that he was late for. So I thought I was doing him a courtesy (WHY?) by not drying and styling my hair. As I was paying, he told the other stylists they could go home, he'd close up for them. SO WHY WAS HE RUSHING ME OUT???? My mom went and got her hair cut from him the next time (not knowing my experience) and was miffed, it wasn't straight, what she asked for, and he wasn't paying her any attention. SO, I went to another stylist the next time, figuring it was still an ok place. This gal did a good job, was pleasant and washed and dried my hair. THIRD TIME, a different gal cuts my hair, not washing it, and not styling it, and not really discussing much about cowlicks, styling, etc. Just a cut. Then cuts my daughters hair also, we're in and out in fifteen minutes. TWO CUTS. So when I'm checking out I ask why the sign says "$19.95 for a wash and cut, hair cuts better when it's washed" and I didn't get mine washed, it's the same price. She asks if I want her to wash my hair. NO, not now, but why didn't you? Wouldn't my "cut" be cheaper?? And how come this time they didn't style it? I left again with it hanging wet around my face. (Which is a superb way to tell a great hair cut. When you can't see it really) . I debated writing this review, and as you can tell have tried to go back a few times. But I base a lot of my business on others reviews of places, and this is just not a place I"ll go back to. I told this last girl that and she didn't say anything. No apology, no manager, just ok. Apparently there's enough customers they don't need me. If I wanted this type of experience, I'd head to Fantastic Sams or another chain, but maybe that's what this place is? I"m very disappointed.

My son got a great razor cut from Jimmy!!! He listened to what my son wanted and gave him a exactly that! My son is very picky and he said it was the best razor cut he ever had!!! I liked the artists stool he sat on, just like the hairstylist do in Europe! Jimmy is a true hair artist! He takes great pride and care in crafting just the right hairstyle for people! Thanks Jimmy!

I've lived in Orange County and SD and have always gone out of my way to get back to Fallbrook to have Jimmy cut my hair. The only problem I've ever had with Jimmy is he's too busy...because EVERYONE wants their cut by him. Always professional, personable, and attentive while always fitting me in last minute if it's a hair emergency! @Brooke Jerulle You obviously have no idea what you're talking about, I'm sure CA Cuts will be fine without your business.

Ive debated on writing a review or not for about two weeks now. If i could give this place zero stars, I would. If you have short hair or thin hair dont go here. Go to sunset barber and see carlos or lucy. Ive gone there for years, but i was looking to get my hair razored like how i had it prior to being in the marines and someone told me to try this place. I grew my hair out for months so I could get my old hair style. I set an appointment with jimmy a week out so he could have time and once i arrived to my appointment i showed him a photo of how i wanted it, short in the back and longer and choppy in the front, i even left the image up while he "cut". Every few minutes he would walk away to play on pandora on his phone, talk to other people and any time any other stylist said they were about to grab something, he would get up and get it. A haircut that shouldve taken 30 minutes, took over an hour. He was so scatter brained that he had to ask me 5 times which way i part my hair. Then the entire time he cut my hair, he was sitting. Rather than stand, he would jerk my head to the side so he could cut the top without standing. He said my hair was too heavy. He thinned my hair so badly that i look like i am balding. He left it longer in the back than he did on top, thicker in the back than he did on top, my sideburnes are different lengths.. i was so mortified i just paid and left before he could do more damage. I hate the way i look so much now, that i won't even go out without a hat on.. even to work. Ive tried thickening shampoo, volumizing powder and styling wax and nothing can fix this mess. If i could go back in time, i wouldve left without paying. So thank you jimmy, for making me look like i have been through chemo with a jacked up mullet.

Got my hair cut here about a month ago and was not happy with the results, I think some of the problem was the "new guy" (only 2 months) was being dumped on by all the other stylists who did not want to take walk ins so he was a bit rushed cutting my hair. I knew I was going to give this place another chance so today I walked in with my wife at 5:30 and was greeted by a snotty woman who said she could cut my hair, I asked if I could have someone who has been cutting hair for a long time as the haircut I want is from back in the 70s-80s she got even snottier and told me she has been cutting hair for 5 years and she is the only one who will be cutting my hair, I decline the haircut and introduced my wife who wanted a wash trim and blow dry, the snotty girl told my wife she didn't have time to cut her hair because there was someone waiting before her. How long does it take to cut hair? They close at 7??? Anyway, two new potential clients kicked to the curb never to return again. Oh well, we will find somewhere else to our haircut.
