I stumbled into Haute LA as a walk-in client with my 2 daughters and was received so welcomingly (after being turned away from 4 previous salons down the street). Tara and Britney were so sweet and squeezed us in without making any clients wait or making us feel rushed. They are both clearly so talented. The cuts were "adult styles" and exactly as I envisioned for the girls without giving very much direction. You can tell they're quality hair cutters because the style has lastest after repeated washes. Can't wait to go back for a membership for myself - what a deal! That might be the best kept secret in Hermosa.

Shannon cuts my (short) hair and its easily the BEST haircut I've had in years. Every stylist says "tell me what you think/if you like it/if you want to change anything" but you don't always get the vibe that they mean it or want to hear it. Shannon absolutely makes me 100% comfortable in her chair, I have no awkwardness asking for more or less or different. My first cut with her was well over an hour because we kept going back and tweaking. I have been back 3 times in 6 months and I have never left unhappy. My hair looks great and for a completely low maintenance mom, that's a huge compliment to my stylist!! Thank you!!

I would rate this salon to be okay. Had my consultation with stylist Monica and asked about pricing prior to her starting appointment and was told it would be no more than $200.00 and 20% off of that price. With this being said, I wasn't expecting to pay more than $160.00. Upon payment at check out, I was told it to pay $232.00 and that was after the 20% discount. I paid $72.00 more than I should have. Very misleading! Upset customer......

I came in town for a wedding and booked an appointment here in a pinch! The service was fantastic! I got their signature blow out and had fab hair for my friends Rehearsal Dinner! Highly recommend this place for both visitors and residents of the area! Tara (the owner) did my hair and she’s a doll!

Everyone's really nice at the salon but always make sure to double check your bill before you pay, especially if you were promised a discount. Also, be mentally prepared for lots of sales pitches!

So I book my hair blowout appointment two weeks out. Three days before my scheduled time, I receive a text (not call) that reads I'm scheduled for a completely different time from what I originally had. I wouldn't have minded so much if it was changed by 15 or 30 mins (although still unprofessional) but it was changed by 2 hours later! I immediately call and was told by Abrela (?) that there's a 24 hr change/cancellation policy. My reply is 'that policy is for if a Client calls in to change/cancel their appointment with less then 24 hrs notice hence they take a credit card deposit'. I have NEVER heard of a business being able to do that without notice to a client! Should I take a credit card deposit as well? She then said she'll need to get back to me. It's now close of business and I don't hear back. Not even a follow up call to reassure me she's working it out. I had to call the next day and ask for a status update. At this point I have no faith that this business will be professional so I make other arrangements. I'm about to call to cancel my Haute 'appointment' that I didn't make when I finally get a call back saying the stylist I was scheduled with, Brittany, had to change my appointment time (without contacting me) because she had a conflict in her schedule. Abrela then tells me she's arranged for me to be styled by Dana. Wow, a little too late. Conclusion: If you have all the time in the world & you don't care what appointment day/time you get then this is the salon for you. If you have an important engagement to get to and need a salon that's professional and keeps appointments that are made two weeks out, this is NOT the salon for you.

Go to Kristina for color correction & cuts! I was a 4 1/2hr WALK-In with chopped up, Donald Trump ORANGE boxed blond color!!! Trimmed my own hair by making a couple of top of head ponytails and then cutting! Trying to save money and time by doing it myself had never worked! Kristina at Haute LA made time for me, as I was an early evening walk in who desperately needed color correction and hair styling for an event the next day! She dedicated 100% of her expertise to me from about 430pm to 9pm!!! Kristina carefully studied what I'd used, what my goals were, and showed me technique and chemical product results options from which to choose. I decided the health and longer term results of my hair was my priority, so she recommended lifting out as much of the boxed color as possible before attempting to deposit more color. We decided to stay away from bleaching, and that a toner color combo upon which we'd apply blonde shades of highlights on a later date was my smartest and best looking path. My hair was cleaned, stripped, toned down to a naturally flattering brunette with deep honey showing through in the light, and deep conditioned. KristIna then carefully blended the LONG CHOPPY LAYERS that I had made, into flattering facets that compliments my new color! She kept all the length but made my hair look clean and classy! I am going back for some highlights when I have time and money! She was professional, intelligent and enjoyable to talk to, and did a fantastic correction on my fine hair! !!!

Came in for a spray tan and Kathleen did a great job. Left the salon looking stunning. Definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a sexy spray tan. Can't wait to come back in a few weeks!

Hands down the best salon EVER! Super clean, super friendly, and premium products! My hair was dry and damaged from me over using heat on it. Tara did some magic and helped me get back to silky smooth without having to cute it! She helped me go a little darker with a colormelt, balayage and lowlight. Then she Finished it off with a color gloss, @olaplex and @aveda damage remedy to keep it silky and shiny. It feels so good I can’t stop touching it! ❤️

Love it! Got my hair done by Shannon, it's gorgeous. Closest my hair has been to my natural coloring since high school. Dirty blonde is not always as easy to achieve as you'd think, so I'm so stoked she was able to get it back to ashy blonde!

Bought a groupon and they wouldnt accept it as I had been there before. The girl on the phone told me this is in the fine print when you buy the groupon. It is NOT in the fine print on Groupon. I think they should honor the Groupon as this was not my error but they refuse! Loved my first spray tan but they have very poor customer service!! Will not go back!

I have just started with the blow out membership (an amazing deal!). After 5 blowouts I must say each gal I have had has been a wonderful experience. Everyone in the salon seems down to earth and professional. They all seem well educated and experienced. I leave with beautiful hair and a smile on my face every time :)

I have gotten my hair cut and colored by Shannon and Tara, and they are both soooo good at what they do! I've also gotten blow outs with Britney, who gave me the best blow out I've ever had and actually gave me clear instructions on how to extend the length of time on it, so it lasted great for the next 3 days :) All the stylists are not only very professional, but also super fun, and I've enjoyed laughing and dishing with them every time I go in. I look forward to our hang outs and I know that I will walk out of the salon with beautiful hair!

Overall I like this place and have been going there for the last almost 2 years, but they don’t have the best stylists in town. Recently they hired some new stylist that are not very professional in their work. My very last blow dry wasn’t anything better than I can do at home. Dana is my favorite there.
