One of the nicest experiences I have every single time. I have been going to Alfred for color and Erika for hair cut and both are fantastic at what they do. From the moment I call to make an appointment to the minute I walk out it makes me feel good. Every single person here is so pleasant not only with one another as colleagues but the way they treat their clients. It is welcoming and HIGHLY recommended

I should preface this review with the fact that I came here with a Groupon. Not that that fact in itself should make any difference at all, but unfortunately, in my experience, it has. Thankfully, my experience at Aveda was great. Firstly, booking was a breeze. If you're booking with a Groupon, do be aware that not all stylists accept Groupons. Thus, who you have to work with is limited. With that being said, even whilst being limited, I'd say you have plenty to pick from. I was assigned to Lerer. If this where you stop reading, the biggest takeaway from this review? Highly recommend. The salon itself is absolutely beautiful.. it's clean and classy in both its look and feel. Not only will you come out looking like a queen, but you'll feel like one in your time there as well. Now, as for the bulk of the review, it was evident from the get-go that Lerer was an extremely skilled stylist. During the consultation process, she wasn't shy in sharing (given her experience) what she felt would work for me. Rather than being my yes-man, she really worked with me to bounce off ideas and suggestions. Although all was taken with a grain of salt, it was much appreciated. We ended up settling on lightening up with ashier highlights and a small trim. This was roughly a 3-3.5 hour process in large part because Lerer didn't rush it. She was absolutely meticulous in making sure the highlights were seamlessly blended. Believe it or not, I wasn't exactly going for the early 2000s look.. The trim was as trims should be--stark enough to make a difference, but not drastic enough to notice. Trust me, that is a great compliment coming from me. I usually only do trims when I adore my current length/style. All in all, fantastic experience.

Used a Groupon deal for a cut, hair treatment and blow dry. My stylist was Farrah. Who was really nice. They have complimentary beverages. I found parking for free at the De Lacy lot but there is street parking, a paid lot and valet. The salon is really nice, sort of upscale. I don't think I'd pay full price for a cut here.. My haircut came out good and the blow dry was beautiful but the cut is nothing crazy impressive for me to pay the full price. Happy with the experience overall but a little too pricy for my liking.

Love this place !! Several of my family members have started coming here since I’ve found this salon and we all have different hairstylist . All are amazing! Farra is my hairstylist and she has alway done an amazing job !

My appointment with Anna in July 18 was great. She did exactly what I wanted with my hair and I’m very pleased with the outcome. I loved the extra attention that she gave and appreciated the lovely head massage- it really helped me relax after a hectic week.

This 5 star review is for Farrah. She is a lifesaver. I decided on a whim on vacation to get my hair highlighted for the first time ever and another stylist ( I’m not naming her) gave me bright yellowish brown highlights that were poorly blended on my black hair which looked scary quite frankly and left me in tears and then said she didn’t have time to correct it. Farrah came to the rescue and fit me in between her busy schedule later in the evening and literally redid the whole thing and made my hair look so pretty Bottom line: the stylist matters 100% the salon is good and the staff in the front Alex is the sweetest but choose your stylist wisely. Thank you so much Farrah. You are the best.

For an out of towner getting ready for a wedding and needed a last minute updo I was excited to discover this salon off of Colorado. They were able to take me as a walk in, create an updo with no help from me that I loved and set me off to a wedding less stressed. Thank you for a great visit!

I've been going to Bokaos for a few years, (this review is way overdue), and I love this place. Hasblady does my hair and she is the bomb. She knows her craft so well and will go above and beyond to get your hair exactly how you want it. My hair always looks great, I love the beautiful open airy space, and all of the staff are always so helpful and accommodating. Plus the location is right in the heart of old town pas which I love. I highly recommend checking them out!

So very grateful to Alfred for his consistant and stunningly beautiful work! The search for someone who could fine tune my blonde from brassy to my desired soft platinum highlights was long and hard. Then I was introduced to Alfred. He made it all look so easy, after so many failed before him. No more painful grow-out ever again for me. After meeting Alfred it was just one beautiful cut and color after another. Before Alfred I found too many stylists were just 'One Trick Ponies.' They'd listen and then do to me what they've been doing to everyone for the past 30 years..Ugh! Then I was left to "grow it out AGAIN." My experience with Alfred was refreashingly different. Alfred enjoys variety, and enthusiastically embraces new ideas. I've been seeing Alfred now for over 10 years. During that time I've had everything from a Pixie cut--- to my long hair down past my waist. I feel like the sky is the limit for all Alfred can achieve. His skill with color is amazing, and his eye for balance and detail is unfailingly sharp. I highly recommend Alfred and the folks of Aveda- especially to you blondes who are tired of the aging brassy yellow died dead heads, and the delicate strawberry blondes who miss being able to maintain that fragile color for more than an afternoon. The folks of Bokaos Aveda are amazing.

MY EYEBROWS ARE FALLING OUT!!! Got my eyebrows Microbladed with Daisy Q because they told me they wanted to use me as an influencer and started the procedure and when the homemade products did not work on me and I told her that my eyebrows were falling out she told me that I could come in to get them fixed for full price and no longer wanted to finish what she promised. This is NOT PROFESSIONAL and I cannot believe I trusted them!

This salon totally exceeded my expectations. Mitch saved my yellow/orange heavily damaged hair and I didn’t have to pay an arm and a leg for all the services I had done. He knew exactly what I needed and didn’t do anything to compromise the integrity of my hair. The color and cut was absolutely perfect. I am definitely going back and have already started recommending friends and family to your salon. Spacious full-service salon in Old Pasadena. I came in for a cut and blow out (using a Groupon) and received great service. My stylist was Leire (I hope I spelled her name right) and she was highly professional. I'm not much of a talker when getting my hair done, and I liked that Leire was able to take my cue. She asked how I wanted my hair cut and she did exactly what I asked - which is quite refreshing.

I don't understand how they call themselves an Aveda concept Salon. Zero Aveda concept. I went to an Aveda concept salon in Coconut Creek Florida, you had a foot soak while your hair lifted for highlights or while the product was in your hair a glass of wine or tea or coffee was offered and as much wine as you liked . The shampoo and rinse section someone actually massage your head and played Zen music in dark lighting. Bokaos well there's nothing relaxing about this place I feel people are not at all friendly no Customer Service the girl that did my hair and unfortunately was an assistant and I needed a color correct which didn't happen in one session. Because she could not do it right or listened to what I said exactly, so I had to come back again and pay parking twice . I know my colors and I know color correct because I have had it done before and for 145$ was not my best experience. I would never go there again.
