The salon is a bit weird… Every stylist works for his or herself... They rent a little section and are not really part of a “team”... I did not like the atmosphere. I didn’t feel like I was getting my hair done at a salon or get the pampered feeling. I will not be returning. They have so many stylist renting from them that it has become chaotic. Also, I was not satisfied with my hair color or cut.

My friend referred me to Rsalon and to see Susan Sessler Clegg to fix my hair. I attempted to color and cut it myself! Thankfully Susan was everything my friend told me she was. kind, understanding, and explained how she could do a color correction, and even out my attempt of trying to be a stylist. She did a fantastic job. I've looked this good. What impressed me the most was her years of experience and her expert knowledge of hair trends, styles and products.

I typically post based on hair experiences (which are always amazing) but instead I’m posting about how incredible the management here is. There was a situation occurring while I was getting my hair done that involved some younger looking girls and their friend was getting their hair done. Long story short, the girls were videotaping and making everyone uncomfortable as well as making snarky comments and rude faces etc etc. Management and the stylist did a great job at removing them from the salon so that they could maintain a professional and peaceful environment. Kuddos to a salon that can keep quality services because everyone deserves peace when getting beautified.

Shawn is truly a talented and creative artist. He listened attentively to my likes and dislikes, looked at the pictures I brought and proceeded to confidently provide the best pixie cut and color ever. In a matter of a short time I fell in love with Shawn and his super personality and talent. Thank you for making me feel confident and love my hair again. My sister went here with a Groupon and they were very understanding about her curly hair texture. It was her first time ever to a salon, so she was nervous and decided to give them a try. They didn't do a deva cut, but they did trim it to a cute shoulder length hairdo that compliments her face shape very well. It's a neat place to go and at first I thought it was just a place full of millennials, but no! There are people of all ages and demographics here, so it made the environment feel very inclusive and that there's a stylist for everyone. :) Thanks for treating my sis so well.

After asking all of my friends and looking online for a salon in Phoenix, I found that R Salon had some of the the best reviews and it was recommended to me. I never like to try anywhere new when it comes to my hair because I'm afraid it will turn out awful (which is what happened at my last hair appointment), but I called and made the next available appointment. Domingo was my stylist. Walking in to R Salon I immediately felt comfortable and welcome, I was greeted and offered refreshments. Domingo was more than helpful! I went in with long hair that was ruined with a very damaging ombré, I went in knowing I wanted to cut most of my hair off just for it to be healthy. But Domingo listened to my bad experience and offered suggestions on what I should do with my hair, he made sure to listen to what I liked and what I didn't like. After cutting off a lot of my hair there was still some damage and some areas where my hair was lighter but Domingo blended the together colors to help with the perfect color for my hair. Overall, I am extremely pleased with my hair! The color is perfect, and it feels so healthy and that is all I could ask for! I will definitely be going back to Domingo and I would highly recommend him to anyone.

This “Alexzis” seems to be a fake account since she claims she posts based on hair experiences yet her only post is the one review she has with R salon. Interesting... considering there’s video evidence with not one person around. Maybe instead of spreading lies you should actually treat your customers with dignity and respect and you wouldn’t have to be making fake accounts. (Nobody praises management here so there’s a clue.) The only thing that’s unbelievable is your ego.

I have gone to R Salon for years! Great service! Very friendly staff! Rick is great at what he does. Marta is so sweet and kind! After a few visits you will see your hair's condition improve. I've had my eyebrows done here as well and absolutely loved them! Highly recommend you give this salon a try! Also if there are any specials or Groupons when you make your first appointment they usually give you that price as a new client, regardless if you have a certificate or not.

Update: my stylist reached out to set up time to correct the miscommunication. I have proceeded with another salon stylist at this time. My hair looks terrible. I had 8+ inches cut off and asked for a bayalage. I got chunky orange highlights unevenly disbursed. In one day I had 2 people point out that there were chunks of my hair that weren't cut and are much longer than the rest. The back is cut unevenly so I can put half of it up in a pony tail and the other half I cannot. I specifically asked for the style to be "something new" and left with a terrible hair cut, style, and color. The cut is exactly what I had minus the 8+ inches I asked for too but cut for a NEW style. Now I get to go pay another $200 to have someone fix what I just paid $120 to have done in the first place. The stylist I saw should be the #1 person who should have made sure I left happy. The photos show what I showed my stylist I was hoping to reach eventually and what I left with. I understand I will not be leaving with silver hair bc that color is impossible to reach in one session. But this is absolutely nothing even close to what I asked for.

I went to R salon and I had Jamie as my Stylist. I was very nervous to dye my hair but Jamie answered all my questions and made me confromable! My hair is frizzy and horrible to work with but he took the time to make it look really smooth and pretty! I loved the color. The guy basically has magic fingers ! I saw Cassie as a walk-in. My hair was platinum blonde. I wanted some depth like a blonde balayage. Instead Cassie ended up telling me I needed low lights and colored my hair an ash blonde grey. I told her specifically I did not want my hair dark - I told her I wanted gold tones in my hair. She wanted to match my roots which was a level 5-7 but I didn't want my hair that color since I've been bleaching it. So she said would take the color out but of course it didn't take it all out and she said oh now your hair looks better after it was half washed out - saying her botched hair color job was better than my hair before I came in. What a joke, then she tells me that the owner or another stylist would fix my hair but of course that was a lie. No one was available to fix my hair. What a joke. Don't go there.

I was able to get in on the $49 deal with Deal Find for cut style highlights and lucky for me I met Tammy. She is not only an awesome stylist but a fun person. She transformed me and made my day. Kudos to Tammy and I'll be back! I finally found a salon that is GREAT and not as snobby as some of the Scottsdale salons, prices are reasonable too. Unfortunately now there's been an owner change many stylists left including Tammie I followed her no longer go to R salon.

After looking online for a salon in Phoenix, I noticed R Salon seemed to have the best reviews. I was super nervous about getting my hair cut but after reading some reviews I decided to schedule an appointment with Haley. When I arrived I was greeted and offered a drink; everyone was super friendly and welcoming! The best part about my experience at R Salon was that I never felt intimidated. Haley was amazing! She immediately put me at ease about the appointment and started by listening to what I was looking for. She offered her ideas on what she thought would look best with my face shape, showed me pictures and made sure she knew exactly what I liked and didn't like before beginning. Haley even blended together colors to help create the perfect color for my hair which I completely love! Haley took the time to explain things when I had questions and offered styling ideas that I could try at home. I recommend Haley to anyone looking for a friendly, professional, and genuinely awesome hair stylist.

Overall, I enjoyed the atmosphere of R Salon and I could tell that this was a hot spot when it came to salons. When I walked in, I really wanted to enjoy my experience here as the refreshments were nice and the receptionists were very helpful. However, my experience here was ruined by Alejandra Salazar. Unfortunately I will look elsewhere for a new hair salon due to her. First of all, her attitude was unflattering, as whenever she talked to me it ended up being an insult toward my hair. Her insults consisted of "your hair in the front is uneven and weird" or she brought up the fact that I have split ends repeatedly. After she brought up split ends for the fifth time, I found it hard to hold a conversation with her. Second, while she cut my hair I can't express how hard she pulled and tugged at my hair. After awhile, my head began hurting and I got a headache. When it came time to the deep conditioning treatment, she put the product in my hair at the sink and left me there alone for 5-10 minutes, while she went to do something else. Let's just say with all the hair pulling and being left at an awkward angle at a sink for 5-10 minutes, I still have my headache a day later. Lastly, the Groupon that I got for this place clearly stated that I should be getting my hair styled as well, but Alejandra was so lazy she didn't even style my hair. She said "Groupon's don't normally come with a style, you will have to pay extra." I knew she was wrong (about the style) since the Groupon clearly stated style, but after the tugging she did on my hair during the cut, I didn't want to risk having it styled. My warning to any new customers here is avoid Alejandra at all costs, she will utterly disappoint you. I genuinely enjoyed the atmosphere of this place and the other stylists seemed very nice, but unfortunately I will not be returning here.

Ok where do I start? Last time I found an exceptional stylists I was living in a different state, and the she moved to Chicago... Now after many failed attempts at finding that person who could treat me and my hair with sush care and attention, (almost 10years later) I finally found him! Rick is incredible! I love that he enjoys his job, has no problem voicing his opinion, and being honest about what he thinks will look good and what will not. He has a dry sense of humor, quick to listen and understand what it is that I want to do. The salon is spacious, neat, and clean. I can not possible ask for more! Yet they do go above and beyond. The fact that they serve delicious, freshly brewed coffee, have snacks, lemonade, and water is a small thing but oh so wonderful!! I liked this place so much that I even brought a friend to get her haircut fixed up properly, and without a blink of an eye Rick made it better. All in all, exceptional service, quick, and efficient. Luuuvvveee it!

Great experiences! I get my hair done by Cass and when I need an appointment, I'm able to text her and she fits me into her schedule straight away. I always walk out feeling 100% better than I did walking into the salon. Cass is on time and ready to start (even when I'm running behind) and meets me by the front door when I arrive. She holds high standards for herself and her technique and would never let me leave with a cut or style that I didn't like. The attention to detail of the appointment from the beginning to end keeps me coming back. Very courteous and professional. Would recommend!

I have been visiting Amy Horn here for years now. And she is absolutely amazing! She is so friendly and has such a kind heart. And she is great with hair! I am extremely picky when it comes to my hair cuts and she has never done me wrong since day one. I unfortunately live out of state now, but just visited last minute this past Thanksgiving break and she was able to squeeze me into her schedule. I did something different this time and received a Brazilian Blowout. Best decision I have ever made! My hair takes literally 15 minutes tops (it used to take me 30 minutes and I would have to straighten my hair on top of that afterwards) to blow dry and now I don't even have to straighten it! It's amazing! So if you have ever been thinking about getting this done, I would highly recommend it! And I would highly recommend booking any appointment with Amy H! :)

I've had the same guy doing my hair for years so I was skeptical about letting someone else touch my hair, but he knew exactly what I wanted from the moment I walked in and he made my hair look awesome!! My hair tends to fade super easily so he used a stain (whatever that means) on me to hold color. Went above and beyond, super sweet guy!!

Visited this salon off a Groupon purchase. The entrance is a bit difficult to find so PAY ATTENTION to their instructions when you book your appointment. Other than that, was a cute little salon with a friendly staff, free WiFi, and they even offer you lemonade while you wait.

I really loved how Chloe did my hair! I have never cut my hair short and wanted a change. Chloe was understanding of this and suggested to what length I should leave it at. The highlights color also turned out great and were visible once she styled my hair. Great staff, great service! Will definitely go back!

Kenzie was amazing! Like most people say, the outside is sketchy but the inside is amazing. The atmosphere is relaxing but upbeat. Lots of space inside! As for kenzie, she is such a doll. I absolutely loved her personality and how she took the time to understand what I wanted. I love my hair and the cut. I can't wait to come back and see her again. i really liked my experience here. Codey did my hair and he did an awesome job! he answered all my questions regarding the hair style i was looking for, he was patient. i found them off groupon and they had really good reviews. I’m giving it a 4 because the girl up front charged me like $4 more than me an some other girl had spoke of and was suppose to note it down but i wasn’t going to argue over $4.
