So my bestie and I (I’m a male, she female) searched 2 weeks to find a place to get a mani/pedi and based on reviews was hesitant to try other locations. We thankfully found Downtown Salon and it did not disappoint. Christy (Enjoy your upcoming retirement) and her colleague were personable, engaging and did a great job. Look forward to having a 2 week appointment moving forward

I had damaged hair and came in because I needed my cut to be evened out. I told the lady who was cutting it that I did NOT want short layers, I did not want the back to be “stacked” and I was willing to leave the damage for now and grow it out a bit before cutting it off. What did i get? A super layered short cut with a stacked back. It also looks like a bowl cut because she “wanted to leave the length” as I had asked but cut all of the sides incredibly short. It’s almost comical how she gave me the exact cut that I said I did not want. It honestly has looked better when I’ve cut it myself. She has no clue how to texturize or blend those layers either. I basically paid money to have my hair butchered. Super cuts has better stylists than here. DO NOT RISK YOUR HAIR.

I've been going to Ruth since I moved to Phoenix three years ago. She's always super easy going and very skillful when it comes to achieving the look and style I want. The other stylist and the owner are always super friendly and not overbearing. It's a great salon for men and women that offers earnest price points and stylists with a great skill set.

Highly recommended!!! Christy did her magic by ading some color and layers into my hair. It looks natural and fresh. I just love it. Next time I am in Phoenix I will for sure swing by again!

A little bummed with my experience. Had to wait 30 minutes before my appointment started. Asked for a trim, about 1 inch off, got three inches taken off, and dramatic layers added after I said small ones. I said I liked how long my bangs were and wanted to keep their length to which they were also chopped off in the layering process. I know hair will grow back, but for the price I paid.. quite disappointed.

This place was a find. Got done with meeting and yelped massage and this place came up. I didn't have an appt and and the nice receptionist called the therapist who had just left and called her back. Yvonne was friendly and competent and the massage room nicely appointed. So hard sometimes to get a good massage on the road but that wasn't a problem here!

Christy is amazing! I was overdue for my trim. I stopped in and she cleaned it up sooo nicely. Plus the styling she did too, amazing! Volume for days. Feel so fresh and good. And trust me, I'm very picky on who touches my long hair. Give her a call, schedule your appointment! You will be satisfied.

Beautiful salon right downtown offering a full array of services, and one of the few open on Sundays. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. Rebecca gave me a spa pedicure and was amazing. She took her time, made sure I got everything I wanted. She didn't skimp at all. Worth every penny and I will definitely be returning.

New to Phoenix and it is hard to start with someone new. I went to Downtown Salon Phoenix based on the Google reviews and I am very pleased. Had a hair cut, root touch up and highlights by Grace. Grace made me feel very comfortable and took such care on my cut (a change of style). Do not hesitate to make an appointment.

Only reason I had to rate one star was because I can’t write a review with out it, I went in for a walk-in and the lady was rude and said she can’t take me now, she didn’t offer a later time, (felt like she pushed me out the door) said I can go to another place a few blocks down. If she would have been nicer it wouldn’t have bothered me. RUDE

I went in for a haircut and it turned out nothing like I wanted or asked for. I didn't feel comfortable enough in the stylist's skills to go back and get it fixed, so I went to a different salon and was told by my new stylist that it was one of the worst haircuts she had ever seen. I called to try to get a refund and was not able to get one. Expensive price, poor quality.

My wife and I were looking for a spot downtown for a manicure and pedicure. This place popped up with good reviews so we decided to take a chance. After a brief 10 minute walk we found this oasis at the corner of 1st and Monroe. What a wonderful experience. The services were top notch and the staff, Elizabeth and Rebecca, were just fun to be with. From the minute we walked in, to an on time appointment, we were warmly greeted by Roberta and Christy the owner. Grate place, great location and open on Sunday! Be sure to give it a try if you are looking for something downtown. You will not be disappointed.

Love this place! Scheduled a facial and hour long deep tissue massage. My facial was heavenly and my skin felt so awesome afterwards. The owner actually did the facial and she was fantastic. The massage was exactly what I requested. The therapist made sure to work on the problem areas I visited with her about. She used some cupping techniques, which was new to me and I loved it. Great job ladies!!!

My first time and it is the worst experience I've ever had in my life. I had a pedicure and the guy who did it completely messed up. He couldn't put the polish on right, be barely clean or cut my cuticles, it looked as though a seven year old did my pedicure. Never again in my life would I go back or refer a friend. He even asked if I can pay him in cash for tip. Wow.....really? And he wanted to open up a salon in Southern California?? Good luck with that because the service was by all means NOT up to par.

I've been on tour since April all across North America and this is the first great cut I've had since I left home! The cutest little gal named Kelly cut my hair later on a Monday night. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and did a great job. The entire staff was super cool too. I will come back when I'm in Phoenix.

Unaccomidating-- made an appt for mani and pedi. BUT they couldn't be scheduled one after the other. AND when I asked if I could do gel, they told me they'd have to cancel the pedi and only could do the mani.

My experience has always been extremely positive and I have always found the staff to be very friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. My stylist, Adrian, always does a great job and is excellent at men's styles. His outgoing and fun personality always makes my day. My masseuse (and owner), Trankie, is amazing! I have never had such a great, relaxing massage. I highly recommend this place!
