I've been going here for over a year and had a few different stylists, but not one bad or even underwhelming haircut. First place in my life I have been where I know I will walk out of there looking good! On my first visit, I wasn't really sure what I wanted other than a change from what I had going on, and Nando listened to my concerns about my hair and gave me an awesome look that got loads of compliments. Last month, I decided to change it up and Danae gave me a cut from a picture I brought that was just what I was looking for (I'm sure many can relate to bringing in a picture and NOT getting that cut, so I was both pleased and impressed!) I just went in for a trim today with Ashley, which looks perfect, and she gives a great scalp massage when she shampoos your hair. As icing on the cake, she's easily the most personable stylist I have ever had. I've always kind of dreaded stylist chair talk, but she was so friendly and easy to talk to, the entire experience was really positive.
I don't know whether they are required, but booking an appointment on their website is really easy and means no wait, and there are plenty of openings (though as great as they are, I don't know how they aren't books out for weeks!)
The salon feels very modern and artsy, like a place to which creative, off-beat people would be drawn, with paintings and huge, standing mirrors occupying the sort of rustic, raw brick interior. Parking in the garage next door is free and there is a cute little courtyard of other businesses (one of them is a coffee shop I've been meaning to try) adjoining it that lend it an intimate, almost European feel from the outside.
It's a 40 minute drive each way for me, but completely worth it. You won't be disappointed!
