Three-year member here. An excellent gym if you workout to workout rather than watch TV on your Elipitical. Affordable, friendly with a great range of equipment. The kind of gym where you might expect to run into Rocky.

Overpriced, dirty, and crowded. Had to squeeze through equipment and step high over things to make it to the bathroom. If someone gets cut that's a staph infection and possibly a tetanus shot. Would not recommend.

In my lifting days, Hodge and I would take turns going here in Madison, and Animal House in Milwaukee when we were getting ready for USAPL powerlifting events. The owner is about as experienced and knowledgeable a power liftet and body builder you will find. It's a great spot for boxing and Strongman training as well. Imagine a gym where Rocky would train when he was trying to get back to his roots. You can go wear your shiny new workout clothes at another gym...or you can sweat and get work done in here with people in the know. Best gym for lifters in my opinion.

If you're looking for a real gym, then Ford's is it. The staff are excellent and membership cost are very reasonable. A very welcoming place for new people as well. I've been going to Ford's for over 10 years, and I'll never go anywhere else. 5 stars, all day.
