The major complaint would be Saturday hours. I get up early (5am usually), and like to get my workouts done without missing time with my longer sleeping family. I can’t do this with Crunch... I’ll probably have do do a 24 hour gym after the contract runs out. It’s unfortunate and I wouldn’t have joined had I realized this issue. My fault, though, for not checking. Still an issue. Hey Crunch, I’d love to stay with you guys! 5 am weekend openings, put it on your todo list will ya? There is an ‘early crowd’ demographic that cares about it to the tune of three stars or more. The minor complaint is the cleanliness. The cardio equipment is often filthy. I get that a cleaning schedule for so much equipment is hard to maintain, but three weeks running the elliptical machines have been dusty, drink dripped, and generally gross on the base and other parts. I did notice that the parts cleaned by the customer were decent. I don’t do treadmills so I haven’t noticed whether or not they were clean. Last complaint: The cleaning staff put their dirty vacuum on the locker room’s counter opposite the sink. If I’m putting my personal items on this counter I don’t want to have to worry whether grit or grime is going to get on them from the counter. Come on guys... You’ve all seen how filthy vacuums can get and what they’ll drop. Update: I went in this weekend and the locker room was filthy. The floors were filthy, the mirrors in the gym were terrible, and especially the the toilet and urinal were abysmal. I couldn’t finish my workout with my usual striking routine because a class had commandeered the space surrounding the punching bags and apparently, though they weren’t even touching the bags, I was told not to use them. I wasn’t told this would be the case when I signed up. Also, the elliptical had some sort of grime on it that I hadn’t realized I had been holding on the rails. I am, at this point, near furious at the idea of putting my hands to my face with someone else’s nastiness on them. Heath hazard. The last straw was the customer service. When I voiced my concerns to the staff, I was met with indifference and told I couldn’t speak with the manager though he was there. There was no concern, apology (not expected but would be appreciated), or even possible solutions given upon informing them. This is a far cry from the assurances that I was given when I signed up. The staff here so far I guess are just friendly until they lock you into a contract. Based on my experiences so far I’m offering this review as your warning. Stay away.

This fitness gym is a great value with friendly staff. My only complaint is that the Lakewood location started having an odd sour smell to it not long after the grand opening. Also, make sure you understand the cancellation policy.

Gym is brand new so of course it's very clean and organized. 3 stars for the staff experience. Came into today to try it out and was not greeted by the girls at the desk. Was given no information on the gym and no tour. Had to find my own way around the equipment. Just not very welcoming. But the place is nice and quiet during the day.

I signed up early June - paid my initial $12 fee, was told they were opening June 20. I've called several times and keep getting different opening dates. Here we are - July 24 and no opening date . I could have been at another gym for a month already.

Love this gym! Price is amazingly affordable for what you get. Place is clean and have never ran into an issue with the place being too packed. Staff always greets with you with a smile as you walk in and are always available to help. I’m glad I joined and have this gym as an option so close to home!

This gym has not even opened yet and I'm already don't like it. I signed up in March and this place has still not opened. It is two months behind schedule. Every time I ask someone when it will open they give me a different date. I'm about to cancel before it even opens, I have also noticed they deleted their Facebook page, maybe because so many angry customers were trying to fingure out what the hell is going on??

I enjoy going to crunch... equipments are excellent..zumba classes on mon and wed have excellent instructors!! like to try yoga however its only in the am... wouldbe nice to have more schedules... the cardio kickboxing is alright.. maybe needing more aggressive..

Great energy and environment to be at! Working out there is a breeze. At times it may get busy but that’s because a lot of people are just trying to better themselves and that’s no problem. You may have to wait but it’s no biggie. There is definitely no judgement here. Customer service is great and there’s really nothing to complain about.

I've only been a few times since they opened... but I love the openness with a great floor plan, cleanliness, many machines. The employees have all been nice & helpful. So far so good. Keep up the good work. Thanks for the affordability too, I wouldn't be there without it.

I am fimilar with Crunch from being from the east coast. My wife and I got our membership a few months ago.I will say I can understand people's frustration about the gym not being open yet, but I also understand that they were turning an old grocery store into a gym. That is a major construction project. So I'm sure there were a few unexpected things that extended the opening date. Every time we have called or stopped by to find out about the opening date the staff has been amazing. Their just as ready to be open as we are. I would hate for someone out there who Crunch would be a great fit for, not to join the gym just because of the negative comments only because they are not open yet. Crunch is new to this community and I'm sure they want to make the best possible impression. I suggest we give them the chance to do so and at least judge our experience with them, after we have stepped one foot in the gym first.

I joined this gym in June around the 16th I was told they would open that up coming Monday. So that Monday I called crunch and they told me the date got pushed back and it would open the following Monday. So I got ready and went to the gym and sure enough they yet again weren't open!!! So I went into the sign up office where they apologized for the inconvenience and told me that for sure things would be open the next Monday!!! But now it's July and yet here we are over a month later and the gym isn't open yet!!! This company is a joke!!! Huge waste of time and money!!!

Excellent weight equipment. Everything I need for my starting strength regimen. Staff are very friendly, especially the trainers. My only complaint would be the cost of personal training sessions. $600 for 1 month of starting strength training is a bit excessive when I only need help with my snatch technique. The PT I met was an extremely cool guy, but that's rent money right there, and than some. Got some bloody shins trying to get my snatch down which is why I sought out the help, but I'll have to keep rereading the book and watching YouTube videos until I get it. Gym goers are also some of the kindest people I've met. One man taught me the sumo squat for heavier deadlifts when I was being a bit overzealous when establishing my starting weight. Another gym goer tried his best to teach me the snatch technique on my first attempt to learn. Took 65 lbs to the face and had a good laugh over it. I look forward to every session at this gym.

Love this gym with their no judgement zone. Absolute feels like I am not judged and it is a nice atmosphere to want to work out in. They have 2-3 rows of any cardio machine you could ever want to use, 2 rows of strengthing machines and a beautiful area for weights! Favorite gym I've been in.

Having been a member at numerous Fitness centers to date, I am amazed at the amount and variety of equipment available for the more than reasonable cost at Crunch. The facilities are well kept and spacious. From the beginning, the staff has always been friendly and informative including handling my very early frustrations at the grand opening delays. But in one guys opinion it was definitely worth it. This is a great gym.

Simple and effective. Hydro massage is a must. Do yourself a favor and pay the extra money for a higher tier membership and take care of your body with longevity with the hydro massage. At ten bucks a massage, and a peak membership ( roughly 50 bucks) five work outs a month or once a week, and it pays for itself. Now imagine going 2-7 times a week and making all that money back in a week. People lie, numbers don't.

The club works out so far with my busy schedule. As a peak member, I have the opportunity to utilize the club's classes. The instructors motivate and encourage me to "stick with it" and not give up on exercising. Veronica and Jay are really most professional class firness instructors. They are real! They naturally stand behind their credentials and totally act like they care as fitness mentors and, mostly, do not judge any of us as they help each one of the members out, therefore, I am getting my money's worth. Both Veronica and Jay make sure we get full benefit from their classes and I appreciate their professional stanze. Thank you!

August 7, 2017 Crunch gym mistakenly made two withdrawls from my checking account. I contacted them on that day and they agreed it was a mistake. They assured me I would be issued a refund. I've made three subsequent contacts; each time I was assured it was being dealt with. On 9-16-2017 I received an envelope in the mail with $43.00 in cash in it. The return address was "Crunch Lakewood." No note of explanation was included. $43.00 doesn't match either amount withdrawn nor is it the total of the two amounts withdrawn. The office manager is either not in when I call or she doesn't come on the line - just relays messages that "the request was sent to HQ" or "a check was mailed yesterday." Unbelievably bad service!

If you sign up for a month to month contract do it after December 15 or you'll have to pay the annual fee before actually being a member for a year. My issue is that I was only working in the US for three months... so I payed the annual fee twice in that time. Kind of a let down as I could have gone to a better gym for the price it ended up costing me. Good work CRUNCH you made my black list.

I enjoy doing the Sunday Morning yoga class. massage room is also a great feature at the Lake wood gym. lots of Machines, space and tons of natural light! fees are pocket friendly and most of all, the staff make you feel like family.

Though smaller than what I am accustomed to with a gym, it works great for my needs and love going there now. Wish more people would re-rack their weights, but that's more people thinking about themselves and not others, and not the fault of Crunch. Glad you guys finally opened in the summer after that wait.

DON’T BELIEVE THE HYPE!!!!!!!! Extremely poor customer service. Jay is a rude scrub with zero customer service skills. They claim to nurture and support their members but the reception I received for just asking ONE QUESTION, these scrubs are just gym meat idiots that obviously look down on those trying to better themselves. Must feel good to Jay to work in a gym where he is in shape so he can talk down to and look down on those of us that aren’t!
