The Shop Gym is hands down the best gym that you will find in Virginia.. dare I say on the east coast. This gym has just about every piece of equipment you’ll ever need to train with. ER racks, specialized bars, kilo plates, strongman equipment, a pit shark, a vertical leg press, a posing room... the list goes on and on. Not to mention they play the best music, the members and staff are super friendly.. it’s VERY easy to spend 3+ hours here at The Shop. Once you step foot in this gym, you’ll never want to go back to your standard commercial gym. Ever since I went to the first ever open house last summer, I knew that The Shop would be home. To any serious lifter out there, I highly recommend that you get a membership here!

Amazing gym. Been going here since March and couldn’t ask for more. Great thing is now that I’ve grown through different stages in my fitness... I find myself loving the shop even more. There is no gym like this gym when it comes to equipment, staff, and family atmosphere. Great gym for any persons fitness goals. Accommodates all schedules. Highly recommend

I am so thankful this place is only 5 minutes from my house. I mean you can't go wrong with the endless selection of equipment that you don't have to wait on like corporate gyms. As a bonus, theres a variety of events that a Powerlifter can not resist. Most of all, trainers,management, and owners know there stuff and will get you motivated!

Just a local bouncing around finding the right gym. My Shop review goes like this.. The layout and the energy in this wide open facility are amazing. There’s every piece of equipment you could need and want. The mn’s room has an odd smell and I noticed the gentleman before me didn’t flush or wash his hands. (You’re at a gym and just touch you junk; please wash your hands) I had to park on the back of the building, which is fine by me. But as I was paying my guest fee, the young dark haired woman behind the counter walked out to what I would assume is her car parked in the front spot. (Employees I think should take the not so hot spots for parking. And lastly, I noticed a lot of people wiping their machines down as common curtesy, then other big buff guys in groups just waking away in there tank too do their next lift. (Recommend reminding members and guests to wipe their machines down.

Honestly screw all the other typical gyms where you just get lost in that same ole same, there are some many different kinds of lifters here is mind blowing and If you want a gym that has everything and wants nothing more for you to succeed this is the spot.

Finally a gym where I can feel comfortable to work out in. I don't feel like my every move is being watched. The most POSITIVE atmosphere you could ever ask for. Doesn't matter if you are a bodybuilder, power-lifter, strongman, or just someone trying to live a healthier lifestyle; THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU. Oh and you forgot your headphones, no problem the music they play the members pick the songs themselves and you can actually HEAR the music. The Shop Gym makes everyone feel welcomed and part of the family. Just stop in one time and you will be hooked.

If you haven't been here, you are missing out. I have trained at most of the commercial gyms available in Sterling/Fairfax, and none come close to TSG. Environment and staff make it easy for ANYONE to take their fitness goals seriously here.

Almost 30,000 sq/ft of serious strength toys for anyone who loves powerlifting, bodybuilding, strongman, Weightlifting, or just enjoys trainjng in a more serious atmosphere. Jason and Tim’s passion for their facility is palpable the moment you speak with either one of them. The facility is well designed, always clean, and filled with anything you could ever dream of. This is a strength sport oasis. Do yourself a favor and sign up for a membership already.

Hands down best gym... as soon as you walk in you're greeted and welcomed... everyone from the owners to staff to gym members are HIGHLY motivating and willing to help with whatever your goals may be. They offer a little bit of everything from weight training to cardio to powerlifting to personal training options. They have events and clinics to help those who compete and several different local vendors/shops who periodically come in and offer samples and advice. They have a pretty awesome posing room with an area to chill and even sit down and eat your food. The front cooler is always packed with protein shakes, energy drinks, and water by the gallon (literally!). They also have pre-prepped meals from meal dealers avail. I could go on but you really have to experience it for yourself, you wont be disappointed!

Amazing facility great, friendly staff!! This gym is equipped with powerlifting and bodybuilding equipment and room for Olympic lifting as well as strongman!!! The staff is great about helping you feeling at home and they have great trainers to help you get going!

I'm in awe. This gym has good music and a wide variety of equipment. A powerlifting zone, a turfed zone, general circuit equipment and a more private yoga/posing studio. The monthly membership cost is a steal for what you're given access to. It is absolutely humbling to think you might actually be the most out of shape person in the room as well, definitely a no BS gym with an inspiring focus on training and athleticism. My only gripe is that the water fountains taste a little off and are a little dirty, I will easily change this to a five star review if you guys could have someone come and change the filters and give them a good clean from the inside.

The shop is more than a gym, it’s a community of amazing people who want to better themselves day in and day out. If you haven’t been to a gym of this caliber before, don’t be intimidated! The stigma of bodybuilding and powerlifting gyms being full of rude and scary people does not apply here! Everyone is humble and friendly and is always willing to lend a helping hand no matter what your goals are. I love this place and wouldn’t want to train at any other gym.

I'm so glad I joined the shop. I have been hitting pr's since I have made the switch. Whether your a powerlifter, body builder, strongman, or anything in between it is a must. Plenty of deadlift platforms benches and squat racks. There is also a monolift, dumbells that go up to 150 pounds and a reverse back hyper. Good music plenty of space friendly people and owners that actually listen to the opinions of the members. I will add this in as well. I'm a powerlifter and meeting new lifters has been one of the best things about the shop. I've been able to take in new information and add in to my program. Why cut yourself short because you wanna save 20 or 30 bucks. 55 dollars a month is more than worth it. What else can you ask for you. I wanna add in best gym in Virginia hands down.

By far the best gym in the northern va area. If you are into powerlifting i highly recommend you going. The members are great the owners are great and nice people. If you are into bodybuilding you will love it as well for those strongman folks this place is for you too. Definitely my favorite gym to train at prices aren’t bad at all best bang for you buck. If you are new into lifting or just want to feel welcomed and yet feel motivated i highly recommend you drop by.

This is the training facility of my dreams. I can't even use the word "gym" because it doesn't do this place justice. By far the best equipment under one roof. The place is a massive nearly 30,000 sq ft. I see people from all walks of life and their disciplines all vary from Powerlifters, Strongman, Bodybuilders, Crossfit, you name it. The community and atmosphere are like nothing I've ever experienced. So much love and support flowing throughout this establishment. This is a family-owned business, not a commercial gym, and the owners are on a first name basis with every member. We are all literally one big family there! They often seek input from us to make sure we have everything we need so we can train the way we want to train! I cant stress this enough....if you haven't been to The Shop, stop whatever you are doing and come!!!!

BEST TRAINING GYM IN THE DMV!!! I live in Quantico, VA and I do not mind driving an hour back and forth on the weekends just to train at the Shop. The energy is great, I CAN USE ALL THE CHALK I WANT, the music wont put you to sleep. Everyone is there for different reasons and goals but we all have the same passion to train. Since day one I have not felt anything but welcome at this place. This is more than a gym, its a community and if the gym is part of your life style, this is the place to be. I am trying to get all my friends to try this place out because once they train here I am pretty sure a commercial gym will never feel the same.

The Shop Gym is the most complete facility in Northern Virginia for those interested in improving their physique, strength training, and overall fitness. I have been a part of many gyms and have been to other great gyms in my training career and this place is bar none the best I have had the pleasure to frequent. Jason, Tim, and Skylar are nothing but accommodating to their clientele and passionate about their craft. They are active in the fitness community, hosting powerlifting competitions, competition clinics for those looking to compete in bodybuilding, massage therapy, and local nutrition stores, etc. They even have a lounge complete with TV, fridge, and microwave for those who are dieting and bringing their meals. This gym has a complete powerlifting area with several power racks, specialty barbells, an ER competition rack with calibrated competition plates, plate loaded sled for conditioning, and anything a powerlifter could possibly need. For bodybuilding, there are several hammer strength machines, specialty machines like a the pullover machine, full sets of dumbbells going up to 150’s, several pieces of cardio equipment, and even their own posing room for those getting ready for competition. Even with all the aforementioned equipment; it is the people and the environment that make this place special. There are athletes in every shape, size, and level of training experience. Coaches for every discipline. I have yet to meet anyone who isn’t willing to help one another or hasn’t been anything besides kind and respectful to one another. The culture that is being built here is something to be a part of if you want to take your fitness to the next level.

If you want to work out and change your life , this is the place for you , they have turf inside for any kind of work out you can come up with , power lifting set up and all the gym equipment you could need . The gym atmosphere is one of a kind. Everyone that works there is helpful and knowledgeable. The gym was also super clean. Everyone that was working out had great gym etiquette. If you're in the area or going on a gymcation. I recommend making this gym a pit stop.
