We've got all the opinions of people like you who consumed the services and products of Onelife Fitness - VA Beach Blvd Gym (Gym) in Virginia area.
Currently the firm gets a score of 3.9 stars over 5 and the score is based on 129 reviews.
You may have noticed that it has an average rating is really positive, and it is based on a high number of feddbacks, so we may conclude that the assessment is very credible. If people have bothered to give their feddback when they are satisfied with the service, it works.
You know that we do not usually stop to put feddbacks when they are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Gym belongs to the category of Fitness center.
Extremely overcrowded, almost impossible do do anything from around 4-9 pm. Which is unfortunate I wish they’d stay open a bit later because of it though. Staff is alright, although stuff is always broken and never seems to get fixed quickly. Ok, who tf bought the barbells in this place too. There are I think 4 or 5 just standard rouge bars (maybe the rouge 2.0’s) and I think 2 women’s 15kg rouge bars which are nice, the rest look and preform like they came from toys r us, the knurl is awful and hard to hold, they have very little flex, and some are even permanently bent. Maybe get some deadlift bars as well onelife??? And they start cleaning, especially the locker rooms at like 8 or 9 pm for an 11pm closing so good luck taking a shower or anything past that time. Sauna is always super crowded. This is probably my least favorite location, I hate that it’s the one closest to where I live.
The children’s area staff is amazing. The gym is always clean and staff super friendly. I use Taylor for personal training and she is extremely friendly and encouraging
I have been able to stick with gym routine. Since joining Onelife I have been going 3-4 times a week for the last year. I feel amazing and I owe it all to the staff members. They are always motivating and helpful! Kirt is my personal trainer and recommend him to everyone I speak to!
Love working out here, the staff is great and the front desk provides top notch customer service.
I signed up for a personal trainer. Since i sign up it took about 3 months for a trainer to be available; even though a trainer wasnt available for that long a time the gym was still withdrawing money from my account. I paid for training that i didnt get done.
Great. I hate that Onelife closes so early on weekends.
Great gym. Always clean, friendly staff, superb atmosphere.
I would not recommend this gym. Large sign up fee for no reason and cancelation is very difficult.
I use the pool to swim laps and also take a variety of classes. The staff is so helpful and I love how the pool is for lap swimming and classes only, no kids allowed. I am not into weight lifting and I feel as though I'm still very welcome.
I love Onelife Fitness.
Nice gym. The pool is small. I went to swim laps some ladies were water walking and stiff like that in every lane. Only using a small part of each lane. Maybe having a fast lane medium lane slow and a walker lane could help with pool traffics. Also there was a lot of debris in the poo. (Gum, bandaids hairball, etc)
for most overcrowded complaint reviews here i totally agree. Also towels tend to run out a lot. I only come here during my PAC class on Thursdays afternoon and swim on weekends. Princess Anne location is a lot bigger with more equipments but on certain hours between 5p-8p does get crowded anywhere.
I've always been intimidated by the gym scene, but this place makes it easy for me to walk in and out without hesitation and my Personal Trainer Devin, has alot to do with that. Not only is he a pretty cool dude, but over the year I've trained with him, I've improved my strength and stability, learned how to properly lift without injuring myself, and most importantly gained alot more confidence in working out all together. The Best part about Devin is, aside from his awesome nutritional advice, he's extremely knowledgeable in injuries, and physical therapy, if i ever feel injured or hurt, he works on those target areas and i immediately feel better. This helps me so much in my confidence to lift heavier knowing i can trust him in proper technique and injury prevention. I can confidently say i'll be training here as long as i can. Top Notch Training!!!
I've loved this gym ever since I spent my first workout in here and it has become my getaway from stress. My personal trainer, Todd Atkinson almost seems like my friend who's training me rather than someone I pay for. I never thought that I could love a gym so much but I really love this one. I've made so many healthy changes to my life because of my membership with Onelife!
Best gym I have been to in years. Highly recommended
SEXUAL HARASSMENT. I am very unhappy with the way the trainer spoke to my fiancée during her first training session at the club the other day. He used crude and inappropriate language coupled with unwelcome sexual comments. I wonder how many other wives sisters and mothers this man speaks to as if they were a piece of meat.
Canceled our memberships, primarily because the staff was evidently afraid to enforce the posted "no full-court" rules, which ruins the fun for everyone else.
I love the group classes, the pool, and the personal training. I’ve been training with Devin for nine months and have tapped into potential I never knew I had. It is clear that Devin, and the other trainers, enjoy their jobs and are invested in your progress. Personal training is the best place to start when you don’t know where to begin. No matter what your goal is, the trainers at Onelife will get you there.
Onelife is a awesome I wouldn't go anywhere else
GREAT facility, staff & classes!!
Have been working out at this location for 3 months. The facilities are great, well maintained and clean. Plenty of equipment and lots of space. Their personal trainers seem to be really good too. I work out with Jay, in particular, and he is the best! He knows his stuff, pushes me to my limits, and in the time I've been with him, I've seen real changes in my strength and stamina. Great value for the money!
I really love this gym. The people are great. The problem, seems to be that they obviously don't have support from higher ups to take care of the basic things that need to be taken care of. It took months for them to fix the bench in the sauna, for instance, and only did so after they were complaints of people being INJURED. Even now, there are STILL nails and screws sticking out in different places that they don't seem to care about. Currently they're cleaning the pool, but because today, apparently, can't keep the chemical balance correct, I still will catch an ear infection from their pool if I am not sure to get all the water out. Going to a chlorine pool would solve this problem, but they don't want to do that, so they want to stick with what they've got, even though they know people are getting sick from it. I just listen to some of the clients talk, the tell you how they've gotten sick from the water Then there's the hot tub, it literally has A coating of slime they can be felt at the waterline. The water is often cloudy, and the bubbles, actually have slime on them when they form. Of course, do not get me started on the trap near the steps, the inside of it literally has brown funk, The only word I can think of, growing on it, that has been there for over a year that they refused to clean. And a special section, for the safety issues. The steps going into and out of the hot tub have damaged railings that MOVE and will shift away from you, easily resulting in a mis-step and I have seen multiple people, including myself, fall because the railing slipped out of our grasp. The floor is EXTREMELY slippery when wet, and they refused to do anything about it, instead just putting out signs so nobody can sue them when they inevitably fall and get injured. You better be a partial gymnast because you ARE going to slip, and nearly fall because they won't spend the money to get the floor treated to prevent that. This is true of the floors in the men's locker room, and around the pool. I can only assume it's the same the woman's locker room as well. I mean, wife's been what would probably be a hefty sum, the treat the floor to prevent slipping, when you can just put a sign out and then say, "Screw you" when one of your clients inevitably injures themselves. So expect to fall down somewhere and if you're lucky you won't get hurt. None of this I blame on the people that work there, I know it's not them it's the people that are getting the money that OBVIOUSLY don't care enough about the customers to do basic sanitation and basic maintenance to protect the health and safety of their clients. I personally have decided that the only option I have now is to take photographs and send them to the health department and whatever happens next happens next. Hopefully they'll get some citations that will force them to start taking care of some of this. The pictures are of the filter I was talking about, and you can see how the railing can be shifted around. Both are like this. Hopefully somebody will do something about this. But in closing I do want to say again that the staff is incredible, they just don't have a lot of work with unfortunately
I’ve been working out at this gym for a little over a year and have been training with Devin for the whole time. He is great, he has helped me get stronger and continues to help me to reach my fitness goals. If you’re interested in personal training I would recommend training with him. 11/10
zero starts on this place, there's the rudest "person" on front desk named All, who yelled at me and hang the phone on my twice without even letting me finished a question I had, I ask for the manager and he told me wasn't there when I called the second time he got mad and hung up the phone again !!! Unbelievable it's funny how the manager brags about having this All man it's a retired police officer and I'm like uh? If he is a police officer why is he working in this place for $7 dlls an hour? .... funny fact!
Good gym. nice pool and sauna.
The front desk is the definition of quality customer service . Each of them are ALWAYS so friendly and kind. Keep it up !
Really like this gym!!!
I love it love it love it. The best gym experience I have ever had. Very clean! The equipment is kept up to date with the latest and greatest. I read fitness mags and everything I read about can be experienced at Onelife fitness Virginia Beach. I do go to other Onelife fitness gyms and my favorite it VaBch. I am not a gym novice and working out is a lifestyle for me although I run outdoor more so I have been to many gyms around the world. This Onelife is very busy but thats a good thing peopel should work out. Shout out to my PT Palmer he is so professional and a great motivator. I look forward to the new Zone 4 training so Excited!!!! The Basketball players should be able to play full court its a better cardio workout. For Novice gym rats they should try the YMCA. Most people don't go to the gym to sit in the sauna thats a perk so I don't think the co-ed crowded sauna holds any weight in rating a gym. I did not know there was a membership available for one location and been a member for about 4 years or more.
new location is ok. I dont ike the fact the sauna is both for men and women. As a women I don't feel comfortable with men in underwear creepy looks. some my friends feels the same we are looking to start membership at the Y
They try to rip you off. I signed up with my husband and son as a family. When I needed to cancel they claimed I couldn’t. Then told me I could freeze. The next month they charged me for my husband and said oh you didn’t freeze his. Really if it all comes from my account and we signed up as a family...how convenient. They give you the run around and lie.
Overall I think this is a really good gym. The staff is very friendly and I have only had positive encounters with the staff. The gym seems very clean and the staff always seem to be hard at work keeping it clean. Although it does get crowded at times I have never had to wait for any piece of cardio equipment (elliptical or treadmill). One thing I have noticed that I hope staff can improve on is making sure the canisters containing the disenfectant wipes aren't empty, lately I have noticed this seems to be happening more often on the raised 2nd floor in the middle of the gym. The one thing that I wish this gym had that other competitors (Planet Fitness and Anytime Fitness) currently offer is the ability to access the gym 24 hours. If I had the ability to visit the gym anytime I would like, not having to worry about the time, this gym would get 5 stars and would definitely keep people from second guessing whether to join a gym like Anytime Fitness.
The place is OVERCROWDED!!!
Friendly, positive, and motivating staff. Both of my young kids do very well with the kids zone staff who are pleasant and interactive. Equipment and bathrooms are always clean or constantly being cleaned. Always greeted with a smile. Equipment is well kept and fixed in a timely manor.
This place was an absolute zoo today. This volume of people not only makes coming here a waste of time but dangerous for other gym patrons. Very disappointed.
Jay Colston is a great trainer. Five stars
The One Life gyms in the Hampton Roads area are by far the best in the area. Super inexpensive and ton of bang for the buck. The equipment is all state of the art, the classes are phenomenal (with tons of options and times to choose from) and great trainers and staff.
The gym is top of the line but they missed the boat on the basketball court, the floating floor makes for a dribble of a dribble,) staff is wonderful and very clean facilities.
I love this location. The only down side is how crowded it gets. The free weight room is entirely TOO SMALL. If you're planning to go after 5 pm on a weekday there will most certainly be a wait on a bench or dumbbells. Also not enough squat racks. Everything else about this gym is awesome. The staff, the cleanliness, and the atomosphere all around is the reason I continue going there. But it would be nice to make certain areas bigger.
I wanted to sign up my child for the kids club and asked to let him spend a little time in the room first to make sure he likes it. Find out, I had to pay $4 for that. The "manager" Steven was very rude and condescending when giving me the information. Being a member for two years, I felt disrespected and highly disappointed.
Hands down best gym in the 757
The gym is very clean the staff is friendly the only problem is they run out of water quite a bit they run out of towels quite a bit I for one I like one of the other members enjoyed the heavy bag for a cardio workout and I guess 11 weeks later these guys can't seem to figure out how to put another one up or which I noticed if a machine breaks down it's quite a while before that machine gets fixed as well I guess grabbing a membership fee is more important than getting a machine backup online that you're paying for? Okay so in all fairness the club's response back to me I understand the machines are at the mercy of the company that warranty I get it. Just in case you didn't know they sell heavy bags at Dick's Sports and they usually have in stock that's that same day and they're pretty inexpensive. So this is an update it's now over three months these guys can't seem to get a heavy bag for a hundred $150 at Dick's Sports? At least I saved myself $20 a month being over here at Planet Fitness until they get their act together
that guy named “All” employee at front desk stared at women in a dirty way, plus he is rude, I asked a question and he decided to ignored me. That’s not profesional.
I came today for the first time, and after my workout I decided to go to the pool with my husband, and one of the staff told us we have to be 18 years or older to be in here ?!! What? Duh, you have to be that age to sign up in the first place. He said it very rudely and had to get someone else to tell me the same thing while I was getting out.
This is one of my favorite OneLife locations. They have a ton of group fitness classes that I highly recommend. Their group fitness manager is great and she really works to make sure they have a wide variety of classes. The gym is huge and they have a ton of newer cardio equipment. The weight lifting areas are large as well, they have child care, a splash pad and an indoor pool. Large locker rooms as well. Very friendly staff that always greets you as you walk in.
I love the gym overall but I started going here with a goal in mind , just wanting to get back in shape , tone up and getting back to where I used to be so when I found out that they had personal trainers I was excited. So I decided to get a personal trainer and Jay has been a motivation in my life. I have lost almost 18 pounds and I only been here for almost a month, He gives me a reason to come to our sessions because he knows exactly what he's doing. I can be a little hard headed sometimes but he makes sure the work is done . If anyone decides that they want to actually focus on their weight and really want to make a change . Jay will be the person I recommend to anyone . He pushes me to work hard as that's what I like. So I appreciate One Life and I wouldn't change it for the world .
Matt really challenges me and seems to know my capabilities or how much more I can be pushed more than I do. He’s very intuitive and easy to work with while still being challenging.
Great gym, versatile equipment, awesome staff!! My experience with the personal trainer program has been wonderful so far; working with Jay has been unique, as a trainer, he’s been thorough and persistent in helping me reach and expand my personal goals. Every session has been individualized and educational!!
There's friendly staff here and there, but overall they're not the friendliest. I've only been a member for about a week and a half. Shawn was really friendly but that's about it.
Awesome staff and variety of equipment. Sweet Gym!
[If you are someone who is considering this line of gyms you will find better from places like Anytime Fitness, Planet Fitness, or even the rec centers in Virginia Beach] I had been charged for personal training for a duration of five months that I had cancelled in April of this year because of a personal training manager over at Princess Anne that wasn't doing his job properly according to Brock Berlener (fitness director at this location). I emailed Brock about the charges on September 19 and received no replies from anyone. I then emailed him again on October 18. I even called this location multiple times to either speak with Brock or have the employee I talked to to leave a note for him to call me back. Every time I went in to workout I had asked the employee at the front desk to leave a note for Brock. It wasn't until Alex at this location told me he would put a note in Brock's mailbox as well as the mailbox for the general manager. This finally convinced Brock to call me only to tell me that I would need to talk to Tom Hill who replaced the personal training manager at Princess Anne. Brock told me he would give Tom my information so he could call me. I waited a few days before emailing Brock that Tom hadn't called me yet and I received a call from Tom the next day. Tom asked for an email I sent to the previous personal training manager asking to cancel my training and he then sent me a refund to my bank account for the amount owed. Great, but what about the compensation for the time I spent trying to fix something that should not have happened? I emailed Tom on November 10 asking about this compensation and I have not received a call nor an email from anyone from this company. I am honesty surprised that the reviews for this company are so high. It's probably because the reviewers never had to deal with management. Alex is honestly a great example of customer service and I have nothing but great things to say about him. He greets everyone with a smile and warm welcome, never fails to hold a friendly conversation, always seems to be doing something productive, and has known exactly what to do in every encounter I've had with him. I wish I could say the same about the management from both this location and Princess Anne.
I have been a member for 2 years now. Amazing gym!!!! Not to mention they have great staff, right from the front desk to the personal trainers and the Class Instructors. They were all so friendly and understanding. The classes they offer are very well organized and they offer them at times that work for everyone. Onelife fitness has changed my life and im so glad I decided to join this gym instead of Planet Fitness.
My husband has been a long-time member of One Life at this particular location for years and I just joined a few months ago. On last week he had his locker broken into that was locked and apparently so did 6 or 7 others as well at the same time. His wallet was taken, money, ID's, and credit cards and this was at 5 in the evening during high gym traffic. How is this even possible? So writing this review to warn others, please do not leave any valueables in your locker or you run the risk of your personal belongings being stolen at this location!!! The only thing the staff did was have him fill out a police report and it was a hassle and inconvenience getting his personal items replaced with the exception of his cash which the culprit now has. He nor I feel safe and well whoever stole his things is still out there. Top customer service would've been to offer something on behalf of the gym to all of those individuals affected, but no nothing. My husband works hard and loves working out and the monthly fees aren't cheap. This was a true violation!!!! A suggestion would be to have your staff monitor the locker rooms at least!!!
It's okay, everything is new. What i disliked is how the sauna is being set up. When i came in in March i was very disappointed finding they have combined both male and female in the room. I was very uncomfortable when I walked inside because the room was very crowded, some were standing. i had to squeeze myself in. Since then I stopped coming to the gym. About a couple months later I decided to go to a different facility, but I was told my membership is only good at the Virginia Beach Blvd location. I haven't been at Onelife Fitness for several months now, 9 or 10 months. I feel I've wasted the money that's been automatically drafted from the bank acct every month. room. I came in in March.was excited
I have children who wanted join OneLife since last year. One of my daughter was 12 years old last year who were told to come back after she became 13 years old. This year my daughter and I went back to Burke location OneLife on Dec. 2, 2014 to join. She was so excited until couple of reps told her that she can not join OneLife by herself until she becomes 16 years old and were told one of parent must be present on site thought the parent is a non-member. She decided to give up. On the way back home I encouraged her to join and said that I will be there for two hours for which she wants to exercise. Then she called back Burke OneLife toconfirm that by talking to one of rep. She wanted to go back next day. On Dec. 3, 2014, She went back with me and filled out a membership form. A manager came and said, "It is the LAW that a child under 16 years old must have a parent who must be a member of OneLife." I said, " Is it your company policy?" " We were here last year and yesterday and we were told she could join OneLife." " Now you are changing the story." The manager said that their staffs do not know their company policies and she is the manager who knows all since she is THE MANAGER. I then requested that a written policy indicating 13 years old can not join Onelife by him or herself. The manager brought a copy of policy and started reading. She did not find any clause indicating that 13 years old can not join OneLife without a parent who must be a member of OneLife. My daughter wanted leave Onelife site after she noticed I was upset. I left the OneLife site after ripping the registration form.
Hello I’m a member of one life and I love the facility and the people working there. I think the best part I enjoy is my trainer Matt he is very patient with me and keeps challenges me which I need.
Great gym and personal trainers! Has everything I need to get my workouts in.
You can't go wrong with this place. There's plenty of room for you to sit down and text on your phone and pretend like you're working out and taking selfies. It's special.
Like training at this Gym with Matt
Facility is great but WAAAYYYYYYY overcrowded especially during the 4-8 pm time frame. Many times I have had to leave as there was going to be a long wait for the free weights and benches. On the plus side, it is very clean, customers are nice and the staff is awesome. Would definitely recommend unless 4-8 pm on a weekday is your workout time.
Large, spacious gym; a variety of equipment including free weights, stairclimbers, and weight-assist machines. Has a sauna that seats around 14, as well as a hot tub and 4-Lane swimming pool. A membership here includes all the classes: cycling, yoga, pilates, kettle bell, and more! Private training is available at an extra fee. Kid Friendly!
Love this gym. Its inconceivable to me why people go to other gyms when this is the best gym for the best price. It's clean, they have a variety of classes, an indoor pool, a hot tub, and a sauna! There is something for everyone's workout routine. I took off a star for not being thoughtful with their movie selection in the cinema. Like, why aren't they playing Halloween movies in October and Christmas movies in December?
Oversold, packed, crowded, are words I would use to describe this place. So packed between 4-6 it's a complete waste of time. Unless you work out at 5am, join someplace else.
ZERO Stars for this place, the "old guy" at front desk named" ALL" is the rudest one I've ever met, first of all he gave me a dirty look as I walked inn, and then decided to ignored me when I was asking questions, then he dared to smile at me and turn around !!!!!!!!!!! WHY IS THIS TYPE OF PEOPLE TREATING CUSTOMERS LIKE THAT!!!! As I've being reading the reviews IM NOT THE ONLY ONE COMPLAINING ABOUT "ALL". You people need to heard us customers !!!!!
By far my most favorite gym. If you can't get a good workout here, it's you... not onelife. Staff is friendly and helpful, equipment is new and you will find any machine or free weights to accomplish your goals.
Needed a gym to workout at for 2 days while i was out of town and that wanted to charge me $25 and $8 if i came with a member. That's ridiculous. The gym i'm currently a member at doesn't charge guests that come in with members the first time and the week pass is only$15.
Onelife VA Beach Blvd has an energetic, upbeat vibe and friendly staff that makes working out fun. There is plenty of equipment, classes, and a nice functional fitness area. I started personal training with Jay about 3 months ago, and he is such an inspiration. He pushes me and encourages me to move out of my comfort zone, demonstrating proper form and safety and how to work out with maximum efficiency. I always look forward to my sessions with him! He is so knowledgeable about fitness and "walks the walk". Since I've been working with Jay, I've seen nice results in my energy levels and body fat loss, all while having fun and building self confidence! Highly recommend Onelife and especially Jay as a top-notch personal trainer!
Drive to this location for the pool and have no complaints. Love it. Wish there was music in the pool area .... why isnt there any music?
Awesome
GREAT Gym! Staff is always friendly and willing to help. I signed up to do personal training, My trainer JAY :) Helped/Pushed me to lose 20 lbs in 2 months and at least an inch everywhere! Couldn't be more happy! Thanks !!!
I absolutely love this gym! It's such a great place to work out. The atmosphere pleasant and motivational. The staff are always friendly and inviting when a member walks in. The locker rooms, gym floor, and studio's are always clean and we'll maintained. I love that they offer so many classes and times that are very convenient. The sauna and spa tub is great after a workout to relieve sore muscles. The offer low impact classes as well, and swimming is always an option. My personal trainer Ryan is fantastic. I personally do not find the gym to be crowded and I have been there at many different hours of the day.
I’ve worked with Devin now for 9 months and I am continually impressed with his level of knowledge and his dedication to his profession. His workouts are novel, efficient, and give proven results. I was unable to run for a year due to a knee injury. Within 4 month working with him I was back to my normal mileage.
I love the gym atmosphere and the employees. Always welcomed with a smile, unlimited options. A friend and I do personal training with Taylor and love her. She makes us work. Goals are being met and results are showing.
Great gym. Jay has been a great trainer!
Lots of equipment. Expensive, but worth it.
Everything is great, only problem I have is I wish they were open 24/7 sometimes feel I like a late night workout when I can't make it before work
Lots of classes available with excellent instructors. Machines are well maintained and the gym is clean. Nice pool and area for the kids. Lots of different exercise equipment. Basketball court. Everyone is very nice.
Personal training with Jay has been great so far. Even on days I’m not feeling it he motivates me and pushes me to get a strong workout every-time. I’m definitely stronger from when I began. Gym has large number of classes and aerobic equipment which is also a plus. .
I've been a member of Onelife Fitness for over a year, and have worked with the same personal trainer for all of that time (Devin). My experience and results have been great and I am very satisfied with my experience so far. I value the environment, knowledge and coaching provided by the Trainer staff.
149$ sign up fee!!!! They just trying rip people off. I was about sign up with my friend, first she told us 149 sign up fee, and she dropped price 99$!!! It seems whatever they get from customer that is good. Sign up fee doesn’t write on paper which she show us plans, she is just writing there; this is our sign up fee and then drop it, like a joke.
Love Onelife and the personal training is top notch. Devin is definitely your go to if you’re looking for someone knowledgeable, motivating, and friendly. He personalizes all my workouts and kicked my butt into shape in under 6 months.
Great price for everything that is offered. I love taking the classes. I recommend to everyone looking for a good gym!
I’ve had nothing but a positive experience at Onelife Fitness VA Beach Blvd. From a personal training standpoint, Devin is top notch. He treats every client as an individual and tailors each workout appropriately. Don’t waste time on a trainer who goes through the motions. I can promise you Devin strives to be better so he can serve his client better. Coming from an athletic trainer, it’s neat seeing a personal trainer who is so knowledgeable on injury prevention and rehabilitation, not only strength training.
It's a good place it's very cool in the summer clean very clean the only negative I would have to say is if a machine breaks down it takes them an awful long time to get that one machine fixed I had renew my complaint because here we are 5 weeks later and these guys still don't have heavy bag up waiting on a simple hook unreal canceling my membership
Gym is awesome front desk staff are cool but been waiting about an hour to talk to an associate to freeze my account for a couple months so in my boredom I'm writing this one star review.
Great setup and very nice pool, although a little sketchy slippery around the pool it's nice. The workout areas even when busy are still pretty accessible obviously some things are used more then others. The staff is overall very good some obviously don't care about there job lol but still overall good.
Great place to work out. Clean, great location, plenty of parking, great customer service and Devin my PT is next level. I highly recommend Devin.
I have been coming to this gym since the first day it opened. I love how clean, spacious and nice the staff is always! I recently started training with Jay, it’s only been two months and I’ve noticed amazing changes. He’s very knowledgeable, I’m learning & he motivates me past my zone of comfort every single training session. It has been one of the best things I’ve done for my fitness journey. If you are looking to learn about exercises, about form so you don’t get hurt & need motivation, you need to get a session with him! This is my an amazing gym and i definitely recommend it 100%.
I just cancelled my membership. I agree with the person that said you can get the same from Planet Fitness
We are visiting VA Beach for the holiday weekend. It turned out to be bad weather so we visited Onelife as guests. The staff was wonderful and the equipment was clean. I loved the cinema room! It turned a rainy day into a great workout!
Have to give a 5 star shout out to my trainer Jay Colston. Started with him at the end of April and have seen fantastic results. What’s great about Jay is he motivates but doesn’t belittle you. He also keeps the workouts fresh. It’s been two months and we rarely do the same thing twice. If you’re looking for a trainer who will make you sweat but get you to that level you want, just ask for Jay! -Ken
I love it there. Friendly staff and great workout equipment.
I enjoy the variety of group fitness options. Having 4:30 options is incredibly convenient! The staff is friendly and is never too busy for a question/help!
The staff is all incredibly friendly and helpful, and the new facility is really awesome. It's bright and open, making it a really pleasant place to work out. The personal training crew is the best I've ever worked with and have been very flexible with my busy schedule.
OneLife Fitness in general is an awesome gym, I've been a member for many years. This location has the friendliest staff, hands down. Other locations, the staff is snooty and very standoffish - this location, the staff, trainers, and managers are absolutely awesome. It's a smaller gym than some of the others, though - excellent range of equipment upstairs for lifters, good set of cardio downstairs, and they have a pool and a hot tub. The demographic is definitely older - with some downright creepy people in the locker rooms that are always - and I mean ALWAYS - naked. (This isn't a good thing) Otherwise, friendly people, good equipment, a pool, and decent boxing equipment will keep me going back.
I never have a bad experience here. It does get busy after 3:30pm during the week, but that is expected. I really enjoy going go this gym.
This gym is great for moms. The kid area is so much fun my kids don't want to leave. I also trust the staff in the kids area. We play in the splash zone a couple times of month too. My favorite classes are spin, body pump, cxworks, and barre. Sarah and Arlene are fantastic instructors that push you to work harder and get stronger. I'm very happy with my membership, I just wish the kids area opened earlier than 9 and it would be nice to have more barre space in the mind/body room. Thank you for listening to your members by getting new bikes for spin!
Been going to this location for about four months now, and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a new gym. It's a great value for what you get: tons of cardio machines, free weights, squat racks, functional fitness area, pool, sauna, kids area, studios for group classes. Pros: Kids play area is huge and open, my daughter never wants to leave. Trainers are approachable and knowledgeable. Front desk is friendly and helpful. Locker room is spacious and showers are nice. Everything is clean. Plenty of cardio equipment, even when there are broken machines there are still a ton available. Pretty much any cable or weight stack machine you could possibly want. Music isn't so loud that you can't hear your own, but loud enough for when you forget your headphones. Cons: Needs more squat racks. The personal training area gets pretty crowded, would benefit from more floor space for training. It is smaller than some other One Life locations in the area.
I went there with my friend for sign up to him at 2/6/2019.I recommended my friend this place .Somebody tried help us there. We told her that we just want $29.99 regular packet to him.We also were ok with annual fee.But She wanted $149 first time sign up.I told her that We pay $29.99 a month and we accept annual fee which is you have. But why we gonna pay $149. I signed up with you guys in 2017.Same day my friend did not sign up with you and I called off my sign up. also I called my another friend and he came there. And he called off his sign up.A day you lost 3 customer which is not good.
