A recreational center with lots to offer with a friendly and helpful staff. Nothing beats a long day on the trails, be it skiing, riding or mountain biking, then going for a swim, hot tub and sauna! Besides a gym and indoor and outdoor pool and hot tub, Sugarbush Health and Recreation Center offers a steam room, sauna, indoor rock climbing (you don't need your own equipment, the SHaRK has what you need. What's better than that?), spin classes, yoga, pool aerobics, indoor and outdoor tennis, indoor and outdoor basketball, volleyball, handball and massage therapy. The SHaRK also offers a selection of sporting goods in the retail shop just in incase you don't have what you need to enjoy your experience. The SHaRC has lockers, showers and also supplies towels. The SHaRC can also be rented out for events. What a great place to host a birthday party! I love hitting the indoor pool on a cold snowy day after riding or sitting poolside during the summer and after mountain biking, golfing or hiking. I gave it a rating of 4 stars due to it being a bit outdated but it definitely serves it's purpose.

It’s got a lovely pool (And a better one outdoors in the summer)and as far as I know, excellent exercise equipment. It can be very crowded in the indoor pool in The cold months if you come too late in the day, because children from surrounding schools come in and swim and there are kids’ swim lessons there. There are no adults swim hours which I regret. However it’s nice to see the kids swimming and having a good time. I try to get there early in the day, basically before 1 o’clock. They have passes for the season, which is the best way to go because it can be quite expensive to use the facilities. They are kind enough to open the back door for me (I am a bit disabled and can’t manage all the stairs) Which is only right ... It makes the place more ADA compliant, although there are still some stairs one has navigate. The SHARK people go beyond this & lend me a Styrofoam noodle which I use in some of my physical therapy exercises, and a couple of towels as well. Setting this up with them in advance is crucial. I appreciate their help and the pool is quite nice although not huge. It is salt water rather than chlorine which is better, Though I do notice a slight chlorinated smell when I come out. It’s a good pool.

Decent gym for the area. Staff is always very friendly and helpful. Nautilus machines and the weight room has lots of equipment packed in to it. Beautiful outdoor pool and hot tub area. Indoor pool and hot tub are also nice and they offer saunas in the locker room. There is also a steam shower and family changing room. I will say that the building is a bit run down and when equipment breaks it takes quite a while to fix. They also rent the pool area out for birthday parties and while I understand that they do this to make extra money - it's unfortunate that the paying members cannot use the facilities when this occurs - well you can but who wants to sit in a hot tub or a share a pool with 20 screaming kids?

The shark has the most facilities around, however everything is very dated. I would give the shark more stars however after purchasing a year long membership they reduced their hours. Now the gym closes at seven pm during the week & 5 pm on Sunday's. Most people don't get out of work till five; I find myself forced to change my daily routines or skip the gym all together. The staff is pleasant again the equipment and overall faculty is very old and run down. I hope they fix their issues otherwise I don't suggest paying that high of a price.

This is the best gym in central Vermont and the staff is always helpful and friendly. There are many amenities to choose from, including indoor and outdoor pools, sauna, steam room, exercise machines, classes in yoga, Pilates, et al. A great place in which to work out, particularly during inclement weather.
