IF YOU ARE A WOMAN then you aren’t getting hired by the sexist owner and his sexist “manager”. I have been a very successful GM for a highly well-known gym, and also an assistant manager. I care more about QUALITY than QUANTITY. DURING MY ENTIRE INTERVIEW, I was NEVER asked if I had a passion for fitness. I was never asked if I had a passion for working with people. The ONLY questions I was asked were revolved around sales and the quantity of people I could sell a membership to. Then the owner had the audacity to say, “I know this will be hard for you to answer” before every question he asked. Then I had the pleasure of meeting his “manager” which was a complete joke. He asked me two questions. One of the questions was “how many new memberships could I get in a month” and the other blew my mind. The manager actually looked at me and said, “I’ve been in the fitness industry where I’ve worked with 70% females, but here you are working with 90% males.’ ‘How would you change your sales pitch to pertain to a man?” ................UM, LAST TIME I CHECKED FITNESS IS FOR EVERYONE. NOT JUST MALES. When I finished my interview the owner “Mr. Kim” asked me if I had any questions. I asked, “why did you choose to open up this specific gym?” He looked at me and said, “BECAUSE I HAVE A FINANCIAL BACKGROUND AND I AM A FAN OF UFC.” ..............ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? He never said it was because he had a passion for helping people learn and grow, or because he has a passion for fitness or discipline in his own personal life. His answer was strictly revolved around increasing revenue. IF YOU WANT TO GO TO A GYM WHERE THEY ACTUALLY CARE ABOUT HELPING THEIR CLIENTS, AND YOU ARENT SEEN AS JUST ANOTHER DOLLAR IN THEIR POCKET, THEN DONT GO HERE. PERIOD.

I actually managed this gym for less than 30 days. It was honestly the worst experience of my professional career. The owners HaYoung and Youngsun Kim are BAD business people. I was told not to give refunds or cancel memberships so they would get a big push in revenue at the end of the month. (I did not comply!) Also, the expectation to clean is more important than getting memberships. The wife watches everyone on the camera all day long and contacts you in time real to tell you things she does not like. I asked for some form of formal training and they told me I would have training 4 months after I started. The owner could not even give me an overview of his expectations for the company. He only bombarded me with revenue goals. I was beginning to see why his previous GM left the gym in such a disarray. Two weeks after I started the owner left to Korea for 3 weeks where I was forced to work with his over bearing wife who has completely no business sense. I will not even mention the language barrier. Overall, there is no wonder why all his trainers and staff started a new gym around the corner (Pearland MMA). If I lived in the Pearland area I would NOT go to this gym. I am actually considering contacting EEO and the BBB because this gym should not be in operation. You have been WARNED!

I've been with UFC Pearland along with others since the transition from the Missouri City location. In a world where entitlement is wanted without putting in any amount of effort or demonstrating understanding , in my humble opinion all of the coaches and management are both professional and understanding if your looking for a family oriented gym that will you help achieve your fitness goals UFC Pearland is perfect!.

These two Managers, Nicolas Martin and Cal Adams. Cal Adams always making racial comments about Asians, African Americans, Hispanics, Indians and Nick was always clueless. I am not sure how these two became managers. No analytical skills, NO critical thinking skills. These two men are Always making degrading remarks about women and trying to justify it into sales techniques. They would send the females out to do events in the heat of the day and while we were generating leads they would back door and take them, take our sales, take our appointments, not give us our commission, not assign our sales to us and then have us do it all over again.

New management so they brought their buddies with them... The coach was great with youth kickboxing. Considering withdrawing our membership. Update- Withdrew our membership. Please note the fine print and hidden fees. It takes 2 months to quit this place. 1 month from the day you quit you still have to cover all membership fees that you would have normally owed, then they keep your last month after that. They pull that "well you signed the contract" like some cheap contractor that you read about on the BBB. We ended up quitting for a couple reasons for the following- They play music with cuss words while children are training. Too expensive for adult plans Miscommunication And one more that I'll update shortly on this post so everyone can see.

It is totally different gym, and I can feel UFC fighter training style. It is not too hard and not too soft too. I like this gym.

Not a legitimate MMA gym. Aside from the overpriced merchandise they push on you, they have no striking coach. Most of the trainers have no background in MMA and have been taught on the job. You can get more well-rounded training at Alliance BJJ or Houston Muay Thai. Don't waste your money here.

This is a stunning facility with incredibly, knowledgeable, and motivational instructure. Truly love this gym my son gets amazing workouts every time he goes through. Trainers and manager are very down to earth. Very well manage, clean facility, and awesome trainers. You have to go check it out!!

Must be crazy charging $30.00 every month no membership for being on the treadmill only and nothing else. I can get better gym membership with fully access from $20-$40 at least it has more than just using a treadmill. Expensive. Telling all my family and friends to not go here and stick with 24 hours fitness. WORST WASTE $30.00 JUST FOR SOME TREADMILLS???!!!! Nothing else? RIP OFF

First, let me admit that I hate the gym...I hate gyms in general and I hate going. I am happy to admit that I no longer feel this way : ). I am a 40 year old woman who had reservations about UFC gym until I actually attended my first class. I typically go to the 5:30 a.m. classes with Coach Joel Whittle, everyday is something new; the variety and the classes taught by experts are showing up in physical results for me (!!!). This is one of the few times in my life have actually been able to see and feel the results of workouts. I personally prefer to attend classes over going to the gym and having to come up with my own routine and here's what I have experienced: •No matter what your current level of fitness is, this is the gym for you and you can attend just about any class you want to (obviously, adults cannot attend children's classes and vice-versa) . • The instructors provide modifications for everything, so there's no excuses to not be active throughout the class. Thanks UFC instructors and coaches! • If you show up and try, every time, you will see results! • A free One on one session with a coach is offered to newcomers ...attend this and absorb the knowledge you'll receive. They do NOT try to sell you on personal fitness instruction but provide valuable tools to get what you want from your workout. Personal training sessions are offered and available - you'll have to ask about it yourself, though. • Affordability! I used to go to OrangeTheory Fitness and paid $149.99/month for the unlimited package. I pay about a third of that at UFC and can go to any adult class or use the gym anytime there's an adult class or the gym is open. Unlimited. I have lost several inches from my waist/arms/thighs/calves; have increased endurance and more energy than I have in years. I actually look forward to going to the variety of classes and getting/staying healthy. If you have children, this gym offers a multitude of children's classes and numerous families attend regularly. I am single and have no children...there are many of us there, too! Stop by and try it out. You have nothing to lose but being unhealthy ; )

Not over crowded, because everyone has left due to poor management and owners. The non stop changing of trainers is the absolute worst part. The manager is trying to make it a real guys guy type of gym if you know what im saying. Their "special class" is cut in half pool noodle slapping class.. Whatever the hell that is. The owner keeps the a.c. set at 78 degrees if its on at all. There is another sales/trainer thats super weird and only talks to the ladies to the point its awkward and makes them uncomfortable. The BJJ area is about the size of a normal welcome mat you would have at your house. Never again will I step foot in that place...

It is the great facility with high quality equipment. The staffs and coaches are very knowledgeable and kind with enough backgrounds in all aspects of fitness. The atmosphere is very family friendly with fun energy. Specially, I really like Coach Tonto Classes. He is just real!

We signed both of our boys up for the UFC gym Oct 2017. We have been extremely happy with coach Trent. He has the most patience I have ever seen working with Kids. The Jiu-Jitsu youth classes are fun and engaging. Coach Trent does a fantastic job with teaching the children the positions and making the program engaging. The staff at this gym has also been wonderful. Right when we walk in the door we are greeted with friendly faces, who now know us by name. We decided to have our sons 8th birthday party at the gym. It was so awesome to have someone else prepare for the party, it was worth every penny. When we arrived the tables were set and ready. We had two staff members helping serve food and cake, which allowed us to enjoy the party and our guest. Coach Trent provided his time with all of the kids who attended. My son had so much fun that he declared this birthday party to be the best he has ever had.

Owner has no clue how to manage a martial arts facility. At one time there was awesome BJJ here, but they made sure to kill it. Would not recommend. There are way better options in the pearland area.

The staff here are constantly working to develop new workouts and challenges, that keep it's members changing and improving. I'm greeted by a genuine smile and spoken to by name, when I first walk through the door. The entire staff here, the counter person, coaches and management, are one of the best that's been here in a while. They seem to truly enjoy their jobs, and it shows.

There is no interest from ownership in providing legitimate martial arts training at this gym. If you like cardio based classes perhaps this place is for you. Don't let the UFC moniker fool you as it is just a marketing ploy.

We started this gym from very beginning and there might have been growing pains with staff and management, but I have to say it has always been top tier. We've always had great coaches, and the staff cares for cleanliness. I am happy that my whole family gets to enjoy the variety of classes this gym has to offer. The youth classes keep my kids focused. The 5:30 am classes with Joel Whittle always get my day started. ALL coaches are amazing and push you to your limit, while they teach you new techniques!! You don't need to become a fighter to train like one. #traindifferent

He is a bit rude over the phone too. They keep charging my account and I have told them i cannot come back there. I have emailed him and i have told them to stop charging my bank card but they don't listen

If you are looking for a quality gym this is NOT the place. Management is ruining this gym. There are many better options for training in the Pearland area. They have had many quality instructors but they all leave cause they do not care about their people or their customers. Go get your moneys worth somewhere else, this place is a rip off.

The place is nice in theory but too overcrowded and the teacher to student ratio is off the chart!, so I cancelled my account! I am talking about 1 teacher for like 20 kids ranging from 6-12yr old! I tried to stick it out for like 6 months but my son did not get enough attention to learn correct form! He would be goofing around for like 10 minutes before it was his turn to "punch" or "kick" for 20 seconds. I really miss the Missouri City gym, they were smaller and my son learned a lot more there. Now I have to try to find another UFC gym with smaller class sizes or at least an extra teacher for a large class, ugh!

By far one of the best gyms I have been part of. I love walking into the gym and feeling like it is almost a family to me. The coaches and the staff are some of the best. Don’t believe the reviews that you see on this place cause of one coach that couldn’t even show up on time was disgruntled that they found a coach that shows up on time and actually wants to improve this gym and told other people that haven’t even been to the gym to write bad reviews.. very childish from a grown man. This gym helped me in ways I can’t even say. I’m retired military and had a lot of issues with PTSD and this gym really helps me calm down and got me out in public again and to regain the confidence I had in myself again!

My wife was there and the staff was disrespectful and blew my wife off after asking about additional charges on her acct. The individual said you “probably knew and forgot”. Called and spoke to the manager Kim and his attitude was pretty much the same. I’m retired military and have been to hundreds of different gyms and this by far is unacceptable. I also brought up we wanted to cancel and he said he could not guarantee it..

Hi, I am a member of ufc gym pearland. I was working out at around 10 am this morning and one of your staff by the name of joel whittle is hovering around us. He did the same thing yesterday when I was working out with another gym member. I told him yesterday that I was just working out with that member. Today I was working out with a different member and he was hovering over us . I asked him if there was any problem. He replied are you training one on one I said we were just working out. And He said then there's no problem. ,You seem upset. I said no, And I told him if my movements seem smooth it was because I used to fight . And he turns around and says a sarcastic comment. You should be more selective with the people you hire. He needs to be educated on customer service.They should be more professional and not rude. He was very rude and unprofessional . Thus, I am canceling my membership today.
