A pool, whirlpool, steam room, and dry sauna are all available to members, along with a well kept locker room. This is all on top of the nice gym equipment, included classes, and full basketball court. All the instructors here have been super helpful and people are very friendly and inclusive at all the classes, regardless of your fitness level. The friendliness of the staff and other members makes it easier to go to the gym and try new and challenging classes.

This place is really nice, a little spendy but you get what you pay for. Would be nice if they had a referral reward program because I have recommended this place to many friends. They really helped me keep on track instead of just shoving me at the equipment with the same fitness plan as everyone else. I am very happy to have joined here.

A piece of crap facility. Outdated equipment. Staff is rude, facility is extremely dirty. There is a documented case of athletes foot from poor floor sanitation. I would never workout there again. It takes forever to cancel your membership once you sign on. I know several employees that are very unhappy with how the housekeeping depth is ran.

I went here for years, and between the steam room and indoor pool; it has set a bar that no other gym has been able to meet. Excellent equipment, friendly staff, clean equipment, etc . . . But I had to give up my membership because of the ~75/month cost. If you can afford it and don't mind a busy gym between 5 and 7pm, this is the best place to exercise in the area.

This place is amazing! So many different ways to get your exercise is even with existing health problems making it harder then normal. The pools are a really great way to work out if the other machines aren't up your alley. While the membership is a bit high you do get a lot of benefits! Including the fact that the memberships aren't on contract, so if you're unable to pay them it's much easier to cancel then other gyms. Lastly because it's offered by Avera it can go on your HSA if you have one, making it just a bit easier to manage!

I went here as a guest, and the facility was amazing! Full amenities for showering after your workout is a great feature. There is also children's care for parents. I took a swim aerobics class and Charissa the instructor was awesome. I got a quick tour from by Sister, and the fitness center is nice and spread out with lots of room and equipment.

Large, clean gym with alot of different equipment. They offer a multitude of classes. The locker/shower area provides large towels and complimentary amenities: shampoo, conditioner, shaving cream, bodywash, lotion, mouthwash and hairdryer. Childcare available for an additional monthly fee.

Actually a really good gym, facilities are really nice-the only thing was the expense, which is fine when you know what you're getting into. Well I couldn't afford it anymore and cancelled my membership on the 3rd of July, when they said they pull money from your bank account on the 5th. Well then they said that it was already being processed, so I had another payment due, which is annoying but fine. So I kept the due amount in my bank account. Never saw it come out of my account for the whole month of July-assumed the girl didn't know what she was talking about and my membership in fact got cancelled. In August I find that my account has been emptied and I have been charged overdraft fees, why? "Oh because your July payment was never paid" well you're the ones with access to my account why didn't you pull it? "You didn't have enough money in there" nope I looked over my billing and sure enough I have more than enough to pay your steep $71. So I am just curious as to why you waited a month to pull my money? I just say don't do it, good gym, but it's such a headache if you ever wanted to cancel.

A really fancy health club. The supply toiletries, towels and lockers where you make up your own combination. They've got lots of classes starting early in the morning; a salt water lap pool for swimming. They've got a steam room, sauna and hot tub in both the women's and men's locker rooms. The hot tub I'm the women's locker room has the most powerful jets of any one I've been in. There's even a little cafe in the lobby area. You'd think I'd be a member. I would if I lived in Sioux Falls.

The fitness center is well kept and the equipment is in great working order. The locker room is always clean and well stocked with towels, shampoo, soap, conditioner and lotion. The swimming pool is wonderful. The stall is very helpful and the trainers are excellent. If you miss a week they even send you reminders to get you back in the swing of things. They are great !!

Over the years equipment placement got pretty bad, and a lot of regulars complain, but I still go there because of the sauna. Update. Everytime they remodel they reposition equipment even in worse position. Which renders more equipment useless. Would not listen to customer complains other than "we will look into this", than nothing happens. Which is sad because it's a nice facility. Too bad gym section now looks like ine of those 24/7 crappy gyms.

Very honest staff they were very helpful the whole while I was a member. Very open about if you no longer wanted to be a member. I would suggest to anybody Avera. Their classes are very interactive the staff come to learn and know you by name.

As someone who doesn't typically like gyms, I love this place! Always clean, helpful and friendly staff, great atmosphere, and hot tub in the locker room so you don't have to worry about the creepy old men that you so often see at other places always taking it up! ;)

Gym is excellent, equipment good, great sauna. The ONLY Huge major draw back is the extra help staff in the green shirts up in the equipment fitness area never bother to clean or wipe down the equipment in their free time? Nor do they remind any of the sweaty folks using the equipment to wipe up after themselves! I assume it is their job to clean the equipment as occasionally they go pick up towels. Tim is the only person I have ever seen wipe down equipment and I've been an active member for the last 6 years. Please adress this.

Great pool, warm water pool and hot tub. The upstairs has all of the cardio equipment and weights you would ever need. It's clean and we'll maintained. I've done physical therapy there for a knee replacement. Terry and Mark did an outstanding job on getting me back on my feet.

I think the Avera Fitness Center isn't the fitness center it was known as 15 years ago...Don't get me wrong, it's still a pretty nice place, but it seems to have an "old boys club" feel to it. The color schemes are dated, but the equipment is of high quality. The reason I bring up the decor and clientele is because of the price. My wife and I pay just over $100 a month. We have kids, but it's more to take them to the child care portion of the club, so we go at separate times, which means we don't go as often as we would like. With the Great Life perks and lower price, I would strongly consider checking them out. You would think with the competition, Avera would try a little harder to stay relevant. We will probably be dropping our membership soon to make way for a more family friendly option.
