I play racquetball here all time and have taken ballroom and Latin dance lessons here also. I love Strom. Not only is it huge, the skylights and windows bring in so much natural, invigorating light. The rock wall is great too, I always push myself to climb it at least once every year. The staff are super friendly. ☺

The “Strom” (it’s name in itself is perhaps the most South Carolina thing that has ever been) is at least impressive as a recreational center. It has an indoor track, multiple pools, a weight room, a rock climbing wall, etc. While thot patrol usually commandeered the ellipticals and chad mclifts-a-lot always flooded the weight room, the indoor track was at least usually not crowded nor judgmental. The one occasion I tried to use the lap pool, a group of guys attempting to relive their swim team days literally swam me out of every lane I tried to move to. The adjacent hot tub was also suddenly the scene of some amateur music video which I have yet to find on YouTube.

Strom is a phenomenal facility. The rock wall is 3 stories tall. There is an indoor and outdoor pool, a hot tub and a sauna. The top floor had exercise machines and a 200 meter track. Most of the machines have TVs where you can catch a show while exercising. The staff are very friendly and there is a plethora of equipment you can rent. Parking is the only small downside to Strom.

Modern and spacious exercise facility open only to USC students and faculty/staff. I can only rate the pools which are small and mostly shallow, which I find quite bizarre, given the size of the facility and the expense of building it. The staff which is mainly students is generally uninvolved and unresponsive. Since I find this to be the case across the board, I have to assume that the problem lies with the way they are being supervised. When there is an issue that needs reporting, it never goes anywhere unless one goes straight to the top.

Strom is open to any university of south carolina student with their carolina card. There's an indoor and outdoor pool, a rock climbing wall, and a gym, just to name a few. A great place to hang out while on campus.

Gym itself is great with equipment selection, although it's often overcrowded. The digital lockers in the locker room are mostly all busted or broken and have been for years so I'd suggest bringing your own lock

With two pools, 4 full basketball courts, half a dozen activity rooms, and a huge weight room Strom Thurmond had nearly everything for a good workout. The staff are also very genuine and dedicated.

Lots of facilities for both strength training and cardio exercises. Trainers are available upon request. Rock climbing, racquetball, squash, Sauna and spa available. Great complex.

Very friendly staff and helpful. Great place to workout. Has an outdoor and indoor pool. There's a rock climbing station too. The students have benefit to borrow paddles and racquets and nice facility.

USC students use the gym it's apart of your tuition anyway. It's a great facility with state of the art equipment and one of the hottest saunas in Columbia....

Strom is open to all USC student with their Carolina Card. I mainly stick to the rock wall, because I like to send it; and because there’s not another rock wall near Columbia. #fullsend
