So to all of golds gym members of North Augusta. How does it feel to be lied to again? Not only have they not fixed all the safety issues that place is having but they are remodeling and taking things away. Like you TANNING BEDS!!! You will not be getting this back. It was something that many of us pay for in our monthly membership. And even those machines was falling apart. And the so called fix is the "manager " has a flyer for Palm beach tan. So now you get to drive someplace else and pay more money for something that used to be part of your contract. I was even told by the front desk people that they will not be making an announcement and only tell people that ask. So those of you that are signing up again may want to think about that. All they do is keep taking away and expect you to get over it. They also stated you won't be able to get out of your contract just because you don't have your tanning anymore. I for one am dropping golds. We can hope #evansfitnesscenter will build a REAL gym or someone that cares about the people. You have been given your warning

Decent gym, but not for visitors, or someone who may move. No matter how many times you call, no matter how many official letters you send in, they will not drop your account even do to relocation. I moved to Columbia, and attempted to drop the NA golds membership because they are not reciprocated, and I did not want to pay for both....but guess what? I had to pay for both. Whenever I moved to greenwood, I had the same issue with North Augusta Golds not dropping my membership, even though I lived 50+ miles away, and now that I moved back from Greenwood to North Augusta, I'm sure I don't even have a chance to get rid of my membership now. The BEST thing about the NA golds gym, is that a membership there will let you get into the much nicer Aiken Golds.

This gym has a great variety of equipment, group classes, tanning, sauna, and staff. It is always clean and has great hours.

I have been looking for a gym with a sauna, not knowing the one I attend does in a different location. I love itttt!!!!!!Sauna is my best friend.

I love that it's 5 min from home. To swim and tan you need to go to the Aiken facility. The staff members are always kind. The kids love the play area and kids zone staff.

Price is right. Hours work for my daily schedule. Close to home. Only reasons I am giving a two star. The cleanliness of this gym leaves much to be desired. Its disappointing and disgusting. It is number 3 of the list of things the majority of people consider when choosing a gym to join. This Golds Gym does not seem to care much about cleanliness and gaining long term customers.

The people make it! The equipment is older and two or three of same machines just take up space. Mold on the ceiling of the studio has been there for months. The staff knows about it but mgt. Blames the owners for the problems. You get what you pay for here.

No no no. The gym facility is nice but when it is time to cancel the contract they don't like that. It took three months to cancel. Do not sign a contract!

This is a great establishment. I have never had to evacuate my home in my life. I guess there is a first time for everything. It is not a good feeling to be displaced. However when you are to have as many things as possible feel like normal life it helps put you at ease. One thing that I do every day is workout. So when I got to my friends home in North Augusta the first thing I did was start reaching out to local gyms. When I contacted Golds in North Augusta I asked them about passes and the first question they asked is have you been evacuated from your home due to the hurricane. I cant tell you how comforting it is to have a complete stranger ask me that question and then inform me that they have a special rate for those who have been evacuated. When I went to Golds to get a weeks pass all of the associates from the desk to the trainers to the protein bar were all extremely friendly and accommodating. I told April agent that I prefer Rockstar instead of Monster for energy drinks and the non carbonated ones but I cant seem to find them in the area. To my surprise on my last day of working out she had brought me in the exact rockstar energy drinks that i love as a gift to me. How thoughtful was that. I will never forget this experience and I highly recommend for any work out fiend visiting the area to put them as first choice for working out for service reasons alone. Not to mention they have all the workout equipment you could want. Thanks again APRIL and team for the unforgettable experience!!!

Really close to my house and very convenient but I will still drive 20mins to Walton Way over this one. It's mainly because there is literally no room to lift weights. I understand limited space but if you go here during their busy times, good luck.

I ran in to use the shower after a tennis match before heading to dinner. They have a nice hang out area with a t.v. in the locker room, but I think that's strange. I wouldn't want to hang out and watch t.v. knowing someone is using the bathroom right beside me. The shower was nice, but there were only two. I didn't have to wait, but by the time I finished someone was waiting in line. They do need more hangers or a bench near the shower to place items patrons don't want to get wet.

Overall, it's a good gym. The negatives are that the amenities are older, the music is always too loud and during the morning they want to play music that puts it's clients to sleep. They have some equipment that they don't utilize except for classes, which is a waste and a bummer. The positives are that the staff is super friendly and helpful and that goes a long way for any business.

This gym has all of the equipment I need, whether it's cardio, free weights, or machines. I really enjoy the Cardio Cinema - it makes the workouts go by quickly and seem a lot less tedious. The facilities and equipment are always clean and in good working order. The staff is always very polite and helpful! Great place to exercise!!!

the "month to month" is very deceiving! They ask you for your account information then charge you whether you go or not, without notifying you every month. It is essentially the same as a contract! I quit going because they had only one (noisy) group room and they didn't offer yoga classes very often. AVOID AVOID

I like the renovated floors, but the carpet in the locker rooms needs to be replaced or taken out completely. Other Gold Gyms have taken them out. But one big plus over the Gold Gyms in Augusta is that this one has a sauna.
