Love this gym!!! Stopped going for four years do to finances, life and then embarrassment for I got so out of shape. During that four years I tried other gyms out but never found that right fit. Now I am back at the OC and I kick myself for not getting back sooner. The coaches and athletes are the best. Very welcoming and encouraging, so that you can reach your goals. The programming is top notch, very challenging but coached in a way to achieve overall fitness while avoiding injuries. The coaches are very responsive and will help each individual with scaled options so everyone can perform the movements. The new location offers so much more space than their original location.

I have been a member at OC for almost three years. I trialed a different box in Bend for a few months prior to switching to OC. The owner, Sean, is committed to providing thoughtful programming to the benefit of all. The trainers are great, they will provide cues and direction to help you improve your technique. The community is excellent. The amount of equipment, which allows a greater variety in experience, is unmatched. I also like the liberal open gym policy. The box is big enough to do your own workouts, even if another class or two are active, which works great for my unpredictable schedule.

If you're looking for a friendly, welcoming, CrossFit experience with a coach who is fully engaged in the athletes, this is not the gym for you. I had much better experiences at other local gyms while visiting Bend.

They will work with you and support you the whole way. The people who attend this gym are also very friendly and have become some of my favorite people to be around. Jerry Bradley

Joined two months ago, never having done crossfit. The classes are awesome, including their basics class for people new to it. The trainers are dedicated to keeping everyone going long term, which is really nice.

I started working out at Oregon CrossFit with my wife as something to do when the weather was cold in Bend. Sean took us both under his wing and accommodated our weird schedule. At first I didn’t mention to Sean that I was a distance runner because I thought he would just try and turn me into another muscle bound meathead who couldn’t run out of a paper bag. This was the absolutely dumbest thing I could have done for myself. Once I got over my insecurities of being a runner in a CrossFit gym and admitted to Sean my goals he went to work. Sean researched how to get the most out of runners while explaining the whole time why I need to be adding strength work to my existing routine. My goal for the summer was to run the Tahoe Rim Trail 100 in under 24hrs which is something only about 12% of racers accomplish at that race. A training week consisted of 3 days at CrossFit, running around 50 miles and rowing 10-20 miles. I didn’t immediately notice any changes but after a 2-3 months my leg muscles we less stiff after running, my back was no longer tight and I lost weight going from 187 to 180lbs. I also noticed my recovery time drastically reduced. What would normally take 1-2 weeks to recover I was able to start running within the week of a 50k or 50mile training race. When race day came for the Tahoe Rim Trail 100 I felt well tapered and rested. I thought there might be a small issue with my calf but I didn’t worry about it too much. Having run some 100 mile races I knew issues were going to arise but it wasn’t going to be something I couldn’t handle. Another concern I had was that my weekly running mileage was about 10-15 miles less than previous years. Once the race started I found myself running up front at a very comfortable effort. I was running alongside other runners who were breathing and working much harder. Around 17 miles into the race my calf started hurting and I was pretty discouraged, however it never got worse or to the point where I had to quit. Outside of my calf I felt great during the race with only having one low point and one bonk point. This was a hilly course with 4 long steep climbs which went very well. My calf prevented me from running as much as I wanted but I felt that the strength work I did with Sean kept my body intact to handle adversities. I finished the race at 23 hours 30 minutes…a time that I had achieved before but on an easier course. The best part about all of this is that I was able to go back to the gym and start working out within 3 days; something that would have never happened before. At this point I consider my racing season a success. I am continuing to train at Oregon CrossFit with Sean and plan to do so for my next season of racing. As with previous season of racing I have changed something in order to become faster. So, I plan to incorporate Sean’s visions and add back the 10-15 miles a week of running that this season didn’t allow. Thanks Sean…this was a great racing season! David Town

Awesome gym. Coaches are great and actually know what they're talking about. Community is great and the gym has all the equipment you could ever need. This gym has a pretty good reputation on the west coast.

The entry isn't entirely obvious, as the building is toward the end of the road. Fantastic classes with very attentive coaches. I joined, having never done crossfit and not knowing what to expect. After only 1 week it's easy to get an idea of how the classes normally function. There's usually a warm up phase with great instruction on form followed by a high intensity workout.

After spending 2 years of my life dedicated to improving my health at Oregon Crossfit, I find it imperative to let others know of my successes. I had always wondered about Crossfit and what it entailed but was too scared to venture into a gym and find out. That is, until I had my second child and found myself suffering from a number of running related injuries and struggled with postpartum body image issues. I thought, "Gosh, I'm 35 years old, I'm not getting any younger and if I'm going to try this, I better start now." Now, 2 years later, I'm looking back at how the day in and day outs at OC have dramatically changed many aspects of my life. The coaches at OC have surpassed my every expectation. These men and women dedicate their lives to helping others, and it shows. They care about my safety and my goals and they go out of their way to make sure I achieve them. The physical gains I have made at the gym have translated to mental ones. I've gained enough confidence in my own abilities to realize I'm capable of starting my own business and achieving my dreams. The gym has gone through some changes as of late, but they've also been around for over 10 years and with growth comes change. Despite these changes, what has held strong is the family I feel I have gained at the gym. Sweating and striving for more with the members at OC forms bonds. We look after each other and if someone doesn't show for a class, we wonder if everything's OK. And as we all know, the attitude of the gym comes from the top down. Sean, the owner of OC, eats, sleeps and breathes fitness. He's there coaching his high school athletes every morning when the rest of the world is still asleep. He wants the best for each of those kids and it's evident by their successes. OC is a top-notch facility. I've never stepped foot in another gym quite like it. It may not have all the bells and whistles of some of the other gyms in town. But through the coaching we receive, we learn how to be our own bells and whistles and grow from within. I truly hope that if anyone is thinking about trying out Crossfit, they take the first step and walk through the door of Oregon Crossfit.

Oregon Crossfit, and coach Sean Wells, has been working with my U18 Girls Soccer Team for almost three years now. Their strength and conditioning has improved drastically, allowing me to just focus on the soccer skills at practice. State and Regional Wins are part in thanks to the work they have put in at Oregon Crossfit.
