I was a visiting team's coach at the swim meet last Saturday and I believe that whoever ran this meet did an excellent job!! The heat sheet was straightforward, the announcer did a great job announcing which event was up next, and I thought that the meet ran smoothly. Overall the meet was well organized! Nicely done, Hawthorn Farm Athletic Club!

If you can make the classes work with your schedule; then this place really has a lot to offer. All of the amenities of a true luxury athletic club (stream room, sauna, multiple pools, hot tub, spa/massage parlor, deli), plus some unique cool stuff like the climbing wall, reformer Pilates classes, Les Mills programs, new bikes in the spin class room, etc. There aren't a lot of gyms that you can go to and have pretty much all of the equipment open without too many people... but this is one of them. Phil is the man, but the entire staff is really awesome. Sara was/is really an amazing Pilates and yoga instructor, but she got promoted. Diana was also wonderful but has moved on to other things as well. Pretty impressed with everyone's skills and attitudes. I once took the body pump clad and was sore for a week. You could pretty much make your money back from the dues just by using the super affordable child care to get you and your spouse/significant other/baby mama a break for a couple of hours to sneak in a work out (or maybe even a nap). Not sure what else to say about this place other than "sometimes you get more than you pay for".

I like the fact that the children aren't aloud in the weight room. HFAC is quite no one grunting or doing what you would find at the box gyms.

I have been trying to cancel my membership for 2 months now! I have called numerous times and went in to talk to someone personally 4 times. Finally on the last time I went in the front desk gave me a form to fill out..... (the forms must have been hiding all the other times) then Julie contacts me and rudely says she is “doing me a favor” by not charging me through 11/30/19... 2 months after I started trying to cancel. Maybe the front end staff should be actually trained on the cancellation policy and customer service... this was a horrible experience!!!!

Never have your swim meet here! This was probably the most chaotic disorganized event I've ever taken part in. The heat list that they'd apparently written up the night before was completely wrong. As a result, there were constant changes and several kids missed their races. Then they started doing extra heats as makeups. I was timing and when I kept having to ask who was racing in my lane, at one point during one of those makeups they told me not to worry about timing them because it didn't matter. What? About 1/3 of the way through I left because my 5-year-old daughter had missed her first heat due to the chaos and was told to race with the boys, all as she's in tears. It was her first meet of the year and rather than being fun, the whole thing was ruined for her. I had to pull her out of the pool halfway through her first event because she was confused and in tears. We didn't do her other two events. We just left. Nicely done, Hawthorn Farms.

Absolutely love this place! The staff are all very nice, helpful, great customer service. Everything is always clean, when entering the locker rooms, there's always towel's, water, soap, shampoo, conditioner etc My daughter had swimming lessons, we had 2 very very good instructors, Leslie & Mia. They did such an amazing job with my daughter who was kinda terrified of going in the water, now she still to this day uses everything she learned! My daughter had quite a few favorites here & that's hard to do!

I have been the GM of since April 2nd and I can say that the ownership really take this notion of being the Heart of Hillsboro seriously. Each time you walk in I get greeted, when I leave I get a warm see you next time, the club keeps getting cleaner and cleaner. My wife and son loved the Monster Mash and Summer party, you really feel like family at the club. Keep doing what you are doing. So glad the original owners are back in charge. Well Done Hawthorn Farm .

This place is very prejudicial! My wife and I live in a moter home and we park it on the city streets for 24 hours, and relocate. Yesterday and today they called the police with out any merit what so ever, several times just because we're parked on the same street. In fact yesterday two of the employees walked up to our moter home and harassed us. They assume we're bad people just because we live in a moter home. We've done nothing to them to give them any reason what so ever to call the police, they do not own the street!!! We're just two old fat people trying to make our lives better, we work and pay our taxes! By no means did they have any right what so ever to harass us and or call the police on us again and again. Bottom line is, they've placed us in a category with drug user's and tweekers! Next time we're parked on that street and we will be, and they call the police on us, we'll be pressing charges on them for harassment!

It's expensive for what you get. Paper towels are almost finished most of the time. Sometimes towel rack is empty and dirty ones stacked up in the shower area. Last time there were no towels left on the bench by shower. The Eucalyptus sprays were empty. The mouthwash gives canker sores, because of SLS. Ingredients should matter. There are a lot of mouthwashes that don't have SLS. Shampoo and conditioners aren't good quality. If you like zumba, taichi, yoga, and other classes, Rock climbing (most of the time closed), it's good. Friendly staff, but they all look unhappy haha.

I was a member for exactly 1year.. Quiet expensive, but worth it. 1. Personal Training was awesome! Go with Camille if you want a personal trainer. She has really unique moves and focuses on mind body and soul :). She also does a lot of recovery which is very important when doing weight training. 2. Kid central is awesome. The staff are super helpful. I do think some hours of day could use more staff. The Love to hold babies and were always excited when I brought my kids. Great for a mom to drop of her kids with people who love to care for them. so extra bonus points for that. 3. The swim department has suffered since Alona left. I got a membership just for swimming and it was wasted because in 1year, I was not able to be matched to a swim instructor. Overall the facilities are great. Really clean and private family changing rooms, they provide, towels, soap,lotion etc... This is overall a great experience. Took 1 star off bc of the swimming.

Price is a tad high, but it's an out of the way privately owned club. Much nicer than the 24 Hour Fitness's in the area. Very well taken care of, nice locker rooms, good hours, I am constantly there at 5-6pm and the weight room has maybe 3 people in it.

A bit old and long in the tooth. Although they recently got new bikes the weight room is a forgotten relic. Save your money and find a better and more up-to-date facility.

I recently joined. The facility is clean and good standards. I like that they provide towels and I don't have to carry one. The indoor running track is nice, I prefer running on a track than a treadmill. Pools, gym and most equipment are well maintained, no complaints. The monthly price is too high though, they should price down.

I love the facilities and the staff! Convenient location (for me), clean and well laid out. All the equipment and almost never a need to wait for anything. The indoor track is a nice touch, and the pools are much appreciated. My only complaint is the hours; I'd prefer 06:00-10:00 on the weekends.

Really enjoy this gym. My husband and I do personal training together with Charity and she makes us earn every bit of it. Shes great! The club is spacious and inviting. Lots of classes!

Don't try to cancel, they don't want that and say there's a policy that you have to pay an extra month. Even though you are month to month and the original owners you signed on with don't own it anymore. Good thing I saved my contract. No compensation when they close their doors for over a month between owners. Good for family but not a whole lot of equipment. Don't go on a swim lesson night to sit in the hottub, it will be filled with kids and no adult supervision. Nice track and friendly welcome. Expensive compared to others. Towels provided is nice, not a bunch of muscle heads looking for dates so good family environment. Medium cleanliness.

Clean, well equipped facility that rarely feels overly crowded. Child care on site is very helpful. Group fitness classes (yoga, Barre, Zumba, circuit, body pump, etc.) included with membership. Nice pools. And a bistro.

I would like to swim laps without trying to avoid swim lessons and dodging many other wayward swimmers. I can go to the public pool for that. I left this club for that reason. I would love to come back if they made the pool a lap pool

It's a great place is you can afford it. Too pricey for me. They have separate areas for cardio and weight lifting. A big basketball court, A snack bar, Swimming pool, lots of lockers for storage, clean restroom/dressing rooms
