We’ve been coming here for years.. even though we’ve gotten into shape and outta shape (when we slack.. lol) but through it all Carly has been here! She started as a staff member and now is the operations manager after putting her time in! I could t be happier to see her in this position.. she deserves it more than anyone! She’s a great manager! Good job Golds Gym.. that was one of your best decisions!

Love this gym! I’ve been here about a year and a half, and I’m still convinced this is the best gym in Vancouver, ESPECIALLY for the price! It’s has (almost) everything you’d want in a gym! Tons of cardio machines (even a cardio movie theater!), around 40 classes a week, tons of free weights (4 squat racks! Powerlifting platforms! 150 lbs dumbbells, etc) and like 4 of every Machine. Plus the staff is awesome, great personal trainers, it doesn’t get very crowded, and it’s always a good vibe. Need a gym? Do yourself a favor and check it out. It’s not perfect, but it’s the best gym I’ve ever used.

Sign up at any other gym. They play the same 1 or 2 movies for a week straight in the theater, People rarely wipe down the equipment when done. And the worst part, If you ever have to move or leave they will continuously tell you you didn’t cancel and keep charging you. Even when you have called multiple times trying to cancel they will lie until they steal an extra month or two of money from you. Greedy company that just wants your money, you will be happier at any other gym in the area.

I’ve been a member for 6 months, I LOVE Golds Gym – and I’m missing it like crazy right now b/c I’ve been travelling and now I have a horrible cold and need to rest. So… I decided to write a long overdue review for my favorite gym of all time (I’ve belonged to 5). After reading for a minute or two, the only thing worse than this hideous manifestation ravaging my nasal cavity, are the unfair, appalling, blatantly embellished, 1 star reviews left by babies who don’t know how to listen or read simple sentences – and now instead of taking ownership, they blame that on Gold’s simply b/c they’re a company that takes care of their members and are probably hoping for leniency. That’s what abusing consumerism looks like people. LOL Seriously? ------ > Complaints about “I was never told about terms, cancellation policies, options when moving” – I have to tell you, I was told several times about this before becoming a member. I know people nowadays agree to terms all the time without reading them but… Is it really fair to not read them and then act like a victim? Or "They made me email them to cancel my contract." Really? If you’re under the age of 75 - 80, you probably own a smart phone with email on it. You can literally cancel within minutes…. In fact, I did just that after training for quite a few months with my personal trainer. I hated to cancel this portion of my membership, but needed to save some money for other upcoming expenses. What’s that you ask? What did the process look like? I will tell you young Jedi… I unlocked my phone by pressing my thumb firmly on the home button, gave a devilish grin to nobody in particular as I opened up the Gmail app, typed a simple message and before hitting send I unleashed a nefarious cackle. Then voila – I was responded to a few minutes later and they stopped charging my account on file. The key here – cancel, freeze, revise, etc. based on the terms YOU agree to, not the ones you hope they will let you get by with. *Disclaimer* Some of the theatrics portrayed may have been ramped up to create drama, but the intent is true. All kidding aside. I will tell you that this gym has a super friendly staff that says hello and bye almost without fail, super clean weight and cardio areas, best working equipment (and this stuff isn’t the cheap stuff either, we’re talking awesome name brand equipment you can sync your apple watch to, and stout squat racks that you can hide under in the event of an emergency), extremely motivating and knowledgeable trainers (Kenna, you helped me lose 25lbs of fat, put on some muscle, get in better shape and helped me kick start my new fitness journey – I owe you big time). I would recommend Kenna to anyone seeking help with a higher level of fitness. Even the guys locker room smells good and what place has that? I am SOOOOOOOOOOO Happy I joined this gym. If you join Golds in part b/c of this review I would be elated because I think it’s the best gym in Vancouver, WA. I would know I’ve been to most of them. To GOLD’s and all of your staff – For some of the people that said they would give 0 stars if they could – This is one member that would give 10 Stars if I could. THANK YOU for being awesome, and keep up your good work!

The employees are so rude and don't care about you or anything. Asked about more information for cancelling my membership and was told I'd receive a call, never did! Called back and left message AGAIN and never received a call. I came in and talked to a crabby male who is in charge of this and was told it's a $260 cancellation fee!!!! Yeah I only pay thirty a month but oh my! Now I need to wait out my contract for six more months, ugh. Meanwhile, I joined Cascade Athletic Club in east Vancouver and LOVE it!!! The employees are so kind, classes are so fun and instructors are great! I do pay about $40 a month but cancelling is free because I'm month to month and they have 3 pools, a jacuzzi, a steam room, and a dry sauna!!! Leave Golds asap and if you're considering joining, don't!

terrible..theres no drinking water available except 1 spot..the weight training area is half the size of any 24 hour fitness...all new equipment that doesnt compare 2 la fitness or 24 hour fitness and if and when they get members its gonna b packed and uncomfortable ..3 day pass is all il want

Hands down the best gym in the city! The equipment selection is second to none and the entire facility is always “hospital clean”. The bar of genuinely friendly is set high by the manager Jeff, who clearly leads by example. Anyone looking for an awesome gym, the search stops here.

Stay far away from this place. Poor customer service poor billing. Cancelled my membership over a year ago and still tried to charge for a "maintenance fee" for a year we didnt use. Said I froze my account, would you "freeze" an account without an employee advising you to do that. Dont think someone would pull "freeze" an account out of the air! Then when you call the manager all they do is state policy. If you do speak to a manager and get Jeff you will have a better conversation with a brick. No knowledge of business at all! Again Stay Far away. Look online about Golds Billing before you join, I wish I did.

What an amazing gym! The variety of equipment, classes included in their membership, and high-tech equipment is really outstanding. It's perfect for crossfit and has all your standard equipment too. They have a sweet cinema room, and big rooms that are open during classes that are nice and quiet. Walter was very knowledgeable and helpful! The employees make it such a nice experience. Highly recommend!!

For some reason they found my new credit card info after I had cancelled it and keep trying to charge me $70 for a month-to-month membership I tried to cancel months ago which is really weird and annoying to me.... I will have to go there in person now to discuss this :/

Came in for a free 3 day pass and ended up leaving with a membership. As an previously unhappy 24 hour fitness member I am so happy with how Golds gym treats the members like family. It’s a comfortable lifting environment with so much to offer to their members, not to mention the cardio theater, free tanning and sauna. ***Also Rob at Golds gym Vancouver is amazing ***

Great facility! Great staff! Our whole family comes here. My daughter has to be pulled out of kids club hecause she never wants to leave! The class instructors are top notch and really keep us motivated. The equipment is new and very well kept. ( I love the precor cardio with big screens) The entire facility is kept nice and clean which is a big plus! Love it here!

Nice, clean gym and the staff is friendly. There are lots of machines, a cinema room, and saunas! However, what really keeps me coming back daily is the amazing trainers. Kelly, Kim, and Kai are amazing people who teach great classes!

Beware cancellation fees. Even if you are paying month to month, you must give 30 days written notice before they will cancel. You are also responsible for any ADDITIONAL fees falling in that 30 day window (such as annual fee). You must include your contract number. You can cancel by sending your request to cancel to memberservices@goldsgym1965; include your contract number, which you can get from your gym. You must also include your address, phone, and reason for leaving. Omit anything and it doesn't stick. The gym is spacious and clean and functional. They don't participate in the (free) Medicare Silver & Fit program.

probably one of the worst gyms that i have ever been to, the gym itself is very clean, and well maintained but be careful when you sign the papers, this gym will do anything possible to keep you from canceling your membership, and the fact that you have to send an email to cancel your membership is shady, customer service is terrible here, in fact my friend went in to try and cancel her membership and they REFUSED TO GIVE HER HER AGREEMENT NUMBER, OR THE ADDRESS TO CANCEL HER MEMBERSHIP, talk about terrible customer service. be careful this gym will do anything to over charge you, that is what prompted me to cancel my membership with them, i would rather pay more at 24 hour gym, the customer service is way better, never once got over charged in the 3 years that i was there. I am so happy to be back with them.

Not good , and that's scary because I am NOT picky at ALL. Just be open when you're advertising to be open, and be respectful. Both of those have been violated. Once had an employee who scan the keys greet me, so I obviously greeted her back and had some other employee say "that's my girlfriend". I then clarified to the meathead that the person who scans keys is obviously going to greet people. Kinda how that works, not rocket science. Single rudest run in I've ever had with an employee anywhere. There's an annual gym maintaince fee, which sucks, that should come out of the monthly payment like any other gym. And the thing that is making me cancel is The one time I Showed up to get a morning workout, The employee was 40 minutes late to open the gym. I'm super busy and that's just ridiculous. And to top things off I have to pay 160 to finish off my golds gym contract. You can't cancel here, once you're signed on, you're hooked. That catches everyone off guard, no one expects stuff like that. That's why no one reads gym contracts because this is slimy business and is not usual. I'm 100% Not used to that, gyms I've worked out at previously was easy, cheap and simple to cancel. Ya they may get you on the rest of the contract but I'll steer clear and tell everyone I know to steer clear, and it's not going to give you a positive reputation which is important wouldn't you think? I'm not a guy who usually writes reviews but I figure this can help people in the future. My advice; do not join here. I have ridiculously low standards being a broke college student, and even I have had a bad experience here. I'm going to get another membership even though I still have months to go, I won't step in there again out of principle.

Great gym, clean and the staff is excelent. Never been anything but helpful. All the one star reviews sound like people that don't know how gym memberships work. Know your contract and follow instructions and it's not a problem. For now I'm staying a member! 12/3/18 Update: Still awesome!

Every since I joined this gym at the end of May, I have had constant problems. The membership and its terms along with fees and extra charges were not explained clearly resulting in over $600 IN CHARGES IN THE LAST THREE MONTHS!!! No one seems to be communicating with each other or know what is going on with the accounts nor seem to know how to use the POS equipment or printers. Cash payments have seemed to have vanished into thin air with no record on file and the girls at the front desk has flirted with my spouse several times in front of me. When trying to resolve issues, I would get no call back and it would take me several days of calling and trying to contact staff members to get anything resolved. The end result, I was told that because I signed an agreement, it would be reported on my credit report if I did not pay. This gym is not worth my time or freedom. In addition, I think everyone deserves a place where they feel comfortable working out with their families. It's not okay when your trying to concentrate on working out and you got some "thot" (that-hoe-over-there) trying to show-out in front of everyone because she wants some attention. This is another meat market gym about to turn sour. If members are to uphold the dress code, so should the staff members (for God's sake, the chick at the front desk seemed to be proud showing off her "camel-toe" through her pants). EVERYONE should feel comfortable. This is a GYM!..not a hook-up sex club. This gym is a RIP OFF looking for new victims to screw over.

I have had no problem with this gym, there is enough equipment for how many people are there the time I go which is around 4. Obviously all the equipment is new and works just fine. They have a bunch of cardio machines if that's what your into. The staff has always been nice and friendly and have not pressured me into anything when I was signing up or received a tour. If you are looking for a place just to strictly work out, condition, and train, this is your spot!

Nice, clean gym. Way better than LA fitness. A little on the smaller side but I haven't seen it get too full yet. It has a $40 yearly fee for everyone but since I got a monthly price of $20 it saves me money over LA's $30 per month. No pool or basketball court but I never use those.

I have been to several other gyms and they don't come close to Gold's. Plenty of equipment, plenty of space for floor work, machines, free weights, etc. They even have a ballet bar. The equipment is well maintained and not broken for weeks like other places. The facilities are always spotless unlike some places where you can see the dust bunnies under the equipment.

I have been going to Gold's Gym for a little over a month and I am enjoying my experience so far. The staff is friendly and helpful and the facility is kept clean. I oddly like the smell of the lock room but that just goes to show that they keep that area clean as well. The weights go pretty heavy and there are machines that work out almost every part of your body. There are also different room for different exercises which is pretty cool. I would definitely recommend Gold's Gym because of the experience I have so far. I have not been to any of the other gyms around the area but I don't think that I need to because I am happy with Gold's Gym.

So annoying! I went in for a tour and they required some personal information to do so. What a mistake. They used to call every single day trying to offer me their current membership deal when I had told them multiple times that I chose to stay with my current gym. Then they started texting me! I have now replied four times asking them to stop texting me. I get a reply today saying “just reply stop like it explains at the end of the messages”. None of the 12 texts I have from them say anything about texting stop to unsubscribe. If I wanted to join your gym I would call you. Now I definitely don’t want to join if the staff is this persistent and bothersome.

I’ve been to all the gyms in the Vancouver area and this one has to be the cleanest one I’ve worked out in. Has nice equipment and functional training area, which is nice to mix up your workouts. The staff has always been friendly and helpful! With a price a little cheaper than the local super sport, I’d definitely recommend checking it out if in search for a new gym.

I’ve been a member here for about a year and I just love it! Best gym in Vancouver! It’s always clean, cool, and well-maintained. I love the Cardio Cinema! And I’m totally hooked on the team training and small class sessions led by the most wonderful trainers Kenna, Emmit, and Theresa. What I especially like about this particular gym is how the front desk personnel are always so kind and friendly. They go out of their way to make sure they extend a warm greeting as guests arrive and a kind farewell as guests leave. I highly recommend Gold’s Gym in Vancouver. It really wonderful!

Quality gym with high quality equipment and higher quality staff! Jeff, the manager, runs a great ship! He's very friendly, always coms up to say hi, and makes sure that all your needs are met. When our daughter was going through cancer treatment, Jeff and his family helped us so much and he always asked how she was doing and made sure we got everything we needed. The gym is ok but the people working here are a joke except for the maintenance people which are the ones who truly keep the gym looking clean. Came to check out the gym and instead of getting a good impression I got a headache was hoping it was just the front desk people lacking customer service but nope membership was also terrible first the sales rep didn't even introduce herself and instead of getting a good tour of the gym it felt like an interrogation a bunch of nonsense questions and pushy sales come on guys let the people try the gym first ! also mind your buisness it's my money and if I want to join gold's gym and have other memberships elsewhere is my buisness they shouldn't care just do your job as a Membership Representatives just sell MEMBERSHIPS!! . Jeff Cabrera the manager I think should know better than to let his front desk and membership team act like clowns and that for a great buisness to have success customer service is always first you never know who might show up to your company and to have this experience is just horrible, employees like these are the ones who give a bad reputation to a company which for me was gold's gym. I am thankful to have options but not all people can have that and that's why they might only have the choice to join this gym jeff treat the current members gold's gym has great and instead of getting rid off possible new members get your staff and yourself running this place top notch that's why your the manager dont just pretend in front of your superiors you can handle the position but in reality you can't . By far this is the best gym I have been to! I have tried SO many gyms. You name it... I’ve been there. None of them compare to golds. It really is a judge free zone. Not only do other gym goers show it but also all the staff and trainers. I must give the staff props for being so personal and nice... they know their members names and ALWAYS greet people kindly. This gym is als exceptionally clean and all machines are well taken care of. It is worth every penny. Thanks to the good nature of this gym I am finally reaching my fitness goals and feel better than ever.

biggest liars ever DO NOT SIGN UP HERE !!!!! you been warned hidden fees all over the place the guy that signed me up i asked him specifically about this and if its month to month he said he was a ex marine so i took his word that it was month to month after not going for 3 months and got charged (i dont care about that that's not the problem) i tried to cancel they told me i couldn't do it in the gym so then i had to email their customer services back and forth to cancel only to find out "i have another 6 months on my contract"" CONTRACT this guy told me it was month to month and now reading other peoples reviews all of them are believable .. if u don't believe me sign up at this place and you will be kicking your self in 3 months

Nice facility with some decent features and a few really nice staff members however, management will do anything and tell whatever lie they need to to get you to join up. I came in with a published "deal "on a membership with certain features. Once I attended a few times and tried to access those features they completely denied ever selling the membership and when I showed them proof they pretty much admitted that that has been a scam. It took me several months to get them to stop charging me the membership fee.

When my wife and I signed up for membership we made it extremely clear to Joshua that we only wanted to try personal training for one month and instead, he wrote down an expiration date 6 months later! Our credit card was repeatedly charged even though we tried to cancel. They refused full refund and told us we had to cancel 30 days in advance even though the training paperwork said nothing about that and I have a copy of it. They are now not returning my phone calls and contact with member services is also being ignored. This is VERY poor customer service, unprofessional, and not how you treat members if you want them to stay members! I do not recommend this gym to anyone!

I love this gym. It is my home away from home. I have been coming here for Almost two years. I’ve been a member of several gyms in this area and this is by far the best! All staff is very friendly and down to earth. The janitotial staff works their tails off keeping this place sparkling. There is something for everyone (except a pool) for all body types and fitness levels. I have never felt intimidated here. There are some serious fitness people (as at most gyms) but everyone seems very friendly and respectful. I have never felt that “meat market” vibe here and people have always seemed willing to help if I asked. The personal training staff is AMAZING. They’re versatile, knowledgeable, friendly and fun. It’s honestly hard to pick just one. They have group fitness classes provided in the membership as well as tanning if you’d like...or you can save money and not do tanning...I’d recommend the team training or small group fitness classes as an added bonus into your routine. I’ve made several friends from these classes and at the gym itself. As far as some of the other reviews I’ve read about the contract issues, they are VERY clear about the contract and were never misleading about what you’re signing up for so I’m not sure what that’s all about but it’s not different than joining most other gyms, phones, tanning ect and their contracts. The prices are super fair for what you’re getting..oh and the kids club is the only place I’ve been able to find that my kids are actually excited to go.

BUYER BEWARE - That summarizes the words of the manager Jeff Carrarra when I told him I'd be moving >1k miles away and need to cancel. I've been with a few gyms across the country over 9 years and this is the first that charges a buyout fee for relocating REGARDLESS OF DISTANCE. I don't know anyone who joins a gym anticipating that kind of life change, but add this fee to your list of stressors. Staff disclosure of full written fees is not within practice (I'm not alone in this experience and this was the 2nd fee that was not verbally disclosed), so drag through each line before you sign to arm yourself against their predatory nature. The second fee that was not told to me was a fee for using a credit card. I was irritated, but I chalked it up to a possible off day with the staff member that signed me up. This seals the deal - Gold's off my list of future gyms, same for my partner - killing 2 birds w/ one stone. Good job Jeff! The gym is clean, staff is pleasant in general, new equipment, and they offer Les Mills - all selling points for me. Having to cancel early has soured my experience. Don't expect understanding for real life changes from this business. Recommend you file your complaints with the BBB as well as reporting it here.

I showed up for a tour. Three workers no one else in the front two at the front desk one at a computer. I tell the gal I would like to check out the gym two people came in behind me and she said I'll get you someone let me check them in. So I wait patiently she and the other gal at the counter start to help the people that came in after me one of the girls takes over and the first one tells the guy. He would like to check out the gym and he said cant she do it then the girl tells me I should wait in a different spot for this guy so I do patiently and after a few minutes he comes over and tells me I'm going to have to wait for these people to be helped and the girl takes them on a tour I said you can't and he gave some excuse of how she can answer questions or something lol I said if you don't have time for me I can come back and he told me "Well you do t want to follow our process, if you want to sign in" I cut him off and told him that's what I was doing coming over to sign because no one until then had asked me to which I was willing to but this superficial waxed eyebrow having fake ass dude gets an attitude like I'm doing something wrong so I told his dumb ass f you and left

Hidden policies denied your cancelation even when you relocate to another city! I dont have a car neither a job and am canceling the membership due to my husband's job change. Golds gym denied my cancelation because the address i put (just temporary address while we are searching new appt) is 20 miles away(less than the requirement 25 miles away). This 20 miles-away address is already 50 mins + drive during rush hour AND I DONT EVEN HAVE A CAR! Knowing that I wont be humanly possible to go to this gym anymore, they still refuse to modify the policy or approve my cancelation. !!!

Every time I go in I’m greeted with a smile and they are so helpful get me in my tanning bed ASAP and clean every time. The equipment is all top knotch and plenty of equipment available. Never have to wait for anything. The training manager Megan is so helpful and polite and Carly is a gem!

I read quite a few negative reviews on this club but had no reason to post my own until today. Most people are ignorant on cancellation policy by their own fault. Here's a real valid complaint. BUYER BEWARE! This gym will nickel and dime you out of your money with fees! If you only want to have your debit card on file and not your bank they charge you twice for that. After reading other complaints it would be a smart move not to let them have direct access to your account. Heaven forbid you have to get a temporary card and they can't bill you on time they will charge you and additional 20 dollars per month(on top of the other fees)! I was never told of the fee until I looked at bank statemen and saw I was charged without being told. Since they make every adult in your home have separate accounts so they can collect double in fees it added up to over 120 dollars over 3 months! The front desk staff breifly mentioned waiving the fee when updating my card and that was only for 1 acount had I'd known it was 20 dollars I would have cancelled sooner . I was told at that time they would note my account s and not to worry about it. I gave at a star for the great service from Kylie and Terrel.The management staff is lack luster the assistant manager won't hestitate to(unnecessarily) critique your boxing if you are seen using the bag. The GM is quick to place blame on your bank instead of poorly explained contract fees in the rush to get you signed up and did nothing to solve this issue. The gym is new but is missing key equipment for serious lifters. You'd be better off at LA Fitness! Lower prices and more ammenities and no fees! I'm sure there is a bs rrsponse from management about this review but it's just bs to cover his ass for not saving my families account! Go elsewhere there are better gyms in the Vancouver area with more locations. I challenge you to find any other gym in Vancouver with such low ratings over faulty business practice! Bravo voted most scandalous gym in Vancouver!

The daycare is often running illegally as far as staff/child ratio. I couldn't trust that they could watch my baby in there. So I had to cancel. If you've read other reviews then you know that this gym runs the whole scam of cancellation where they "can't" do it for you, you have to email that you want a cancellation. I guess that's better than the certified mail scam. Anyone with an iota of intellect can see it's just a scam to get people to not cancel and it should be illegal. If that weren't bad enough, the employee wrote email address out for me wrong "accidentally". Luckily when I emailed it I noticed the failure to deliver email letting me know it was a fake email. So I went back in a got the right email address. Unlike some reviewers, they cancelled it after that without "reaching out" with phone calls, letters, emails, texts, house calls, or carrier pigeons, before cancellation that is really just another scam to keep people from cancelling. I can't believe some gyms still operate this way. QUIT THE SCAM TACTICS AND STOP BREAKING THE LAW IN YOUR CHILD CARE CENTER!

I love this gym! All the members a dope. The staff is pretty awesome. The gym is by far, hands down the best. The equipment is perfect for people wanting to lift and go hard. I do wish they had more machines for glutes. That is kind of a big deal. I wish the hours were earlier on the weekends. Me and many other members want the gym open earlier on the weekend!! Now I have read issues about cancelling memberships. I think people today are just so f***ing lazy they can't even send an email. I had to cancel my husband's membership do to new work schedule and it was so simple. SEND AN EMAIL!!! DONE AND DONE. If you complain about something totally on you, that's pretty pathetic.

All the trainers and staff people are friendly and very encouraging. They have helped me to feel more confident and feel excited about coming to the gym. They always greet me by my first name and with a smile. I always have a blast with my teammates in class. They know how to push me and keep me positive. Working with my personal trainer Emmitt Johnson has been the best experience of my life. I have set goals with him and he has helped me to exceed them (starting weight was 130, weight as of right now is 117). I really do appreciate the hard work he has put in with me, guiding me and providing support. He is always available for questions and concerns. His diet plan, playlist, and workouts really do work, I am proof of that. My kids say I look awesome and I feel amazing. Thank you Gold's Gym for being an inspiration :-). Watch out world, here is the new me.

I've been going here a little over a year and a half and here are some of my highlights. Low monthly membership (~$35/month) Staff remembers me and my preferences (to me this means a lot) It's the cleanest and most maintained gym I've belonged to (la fitness/24hrfitness/planet fitness, etc) Location, vancouver mall is a great spot, it should be no more than 15 minutes away from everywhere in Vancouver Towel service, I will never belong to a gym that doesnt have towel service. If you've ever brought your own towel left it in your gym bag for a few days that s*** will scar you for life. They have 4 or 5 squat racks so your not waiting to smash some legs Equipment is all modern and new and clean, huge variety for Cardio as well as weight training. There is a cardio cinema separate area with a huge projector if you wanna tune out for abit. The HVAC system keeps it cool inside even when it's like a million degrees outsid. Also they have a protein/juice bar which I love because I'm lazy and dont like making a mess at my house.

We can’t wait to try out out some of the classes and group training. I’m also pretty excited about the cycle/cardio theater room. Don't waste your time if you want to see what the gym is like. They screwed me out of over $200 for only using the gym four times. Don't speak with Rob. He has a mighty attitude that likes to argue with you and claims that gym goers aren't the first priority. Any one would have any better luck going to planet fitness and that says a lot on its own. I’ve been a member of this gym since they opened. My experience has been amazing. I was over weight and out of shape. I’m now down 89 lbs... 70 since joining and within 15 lbs of my goal weight.... that’s with having both knees replaced. This place has tons of hidden fees. They tried to take my payment and I did not have the funds in my account yet, they tried 3 times before I had the money and they charged a fee for every failed transaction. I ask for a refund and they refused even when I told them I am Cancelling. After I cancelled they continued to charge me. It took to month for them to stop charging me. Awful gym too.

I like the Team Training and Small Group Training with a Personal Trainer at Vancouver Gold’s Gym!. I prefer to do my workouts with a Trainer along with a few other people so this is perfect for me and I try to workout 4 to 5 days a week. The Trainer I primarily work with is Tylor and he is great! I’ve had back problems in the past and he has always been careful to make sure I am doing the exercises appropriately yet encourages me to strive to do more reps and increase the weights safely. Plus he’s very personable and makes the workout time “fly by.” As for results - I’ve lost over 25 lbs and several inches on my waist since January of this year (it’s now the end of August). I’ve also been able to work out with other Trainers (Kenna, Theresa, Emmett and Terrell) and all have been amazing and have taught me something new. I highly recommend the Team Training and Small Group Training at Gold’s Gym!

Very clean and friendly and the one thing other gyms don’t have is a “Daily boot camp” classes (they called “Foundations”, “Industrial” and “Fat burn”) with Cynthia! She is friendly, knowledgeable and encouraging! She will push and motivate you if you ask and hold you accountable on you meal goal! Zacchaeus will help you switch your cancellation personal training session without drama and in the same day you call, he is the man! Robert (Bob) it’s tge best sales person! He is not pushy and will understand your needs and work to resolve it! Very sincere and will help all your friend and family to join with the best offers and timing! I did not mind pay the “cleaning fee” because it’s very clean! The Zumba Teacher Steve it’s a “must try”!! Steve it’s the best male teacher I try in a gym and it’s excellent ... you can tell he is a professional dancer! I love Gold Gym and that’s why I signed The whole family on it! Try it!

This gym is clean, has a variety of equipment and plenty of space. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The majority of bad reviews on here are from people who did not get the specifics of their process of cancellation. Jeff the manager was very clear when I signed up how the process worked. You are responsible for cancellation directly so the staff doesn't accidentally misplace info which I can tell you from experience happens a lot at other gyms. You can also forward a copy of the cancellation to a manager in order to make sure the date and copy was set in place. If I wasn't building my own home gym in Ridgefield I would definitely keep working out at this gym. Everyone is very professional and there is plenty of equipment and space even at peak hours.

Unless you want to be scammed and have fraud happened to your credit card do not go to this gym my boyfriend and I went to the gym and my boyfriend said he would be the primary and signed us up to work out there he was supposed to pay the bill I was told to sign paperwork that was liability for me to use the equipment come to find out the paperwork they did actually have me sign was paperwork saying if my boyfriend did not pay the bill but they would hold me accountable for billing I was never told this I was never presented with this paperwork even though my signature is somehow on the paperwork do you not go to the gym they will screw you over I'm telling you it is a mess,there are lots of other gyms that are more responsible and they will not try to fraud you worst thing yet is the bill that I received in the mail has my boyfriend's full credit card number on the bill which means if him and I were not still together and I wanted to run his credit card up I could because they gave me his personal information be careful you guys don't go to this gym if you do you will regret it!

She was so patient as I tried to wrap my head around what she was explaining. I really appreciated her attitude and kindness. Overall, I enjoy the gym. I have had a few hiccups with the gym. The first being charged for an extra membership at the beginning and being sent a contract with my personal information but someone else's name on it and most recently was regarding the child care. I went to get my 9 month old son and walked in the room to see him falling out of the play structure unattended. I did contact the gym GM and received an apology but still have an uneasy feeling about leaving him there. The gym is clean and well maintained. The classes are great and teachers are phenomenal. Both issues I have had have been addressed and hope my issue with my son won't happen to anyone else.

DO NOT JOIN THIS GYM. Absolutely the worst gym I have ever joined. Staff is nice until you join then they are total jerks. Their month to month is A TOTAL SCAM. I did my part to cancel as they requested, came into the gym personally and let them know I would be leaving the country for a few months and would no longer need my membership. They gave me a piece of paper with a email and confirmation number to use to cancel because "they can't do it from the gym". So I did this, even though every other gym I've ever joined has always had no problem canceling from the front desk. I left for my trip (missionary service, helping public schools in Honduras get there electrical systems working properly and safe for the teachers and students) When I got back after 6 months, I had collections calling me saying my balance was $260!!! Mind you my month to month service was $30 a month! The collection person said they see I did try to cancel but golds gym wanted to call me first to see why I was canceling before they would accept my cancellation. What!!?? I had no choice but to pay to get it taken care of and off my back but for golds gym I say you are completely insane, outrageous and a disgusting scam company. I WILL NEVER EVER JOIN A GOLDS GYM AS LONG AS I LIVE AND STRONGLY WORN YOU DONT EITHER.

Review is based on customer service and how this franchise values their customers. The gym itself seems well maintained, although it is still a new gym. When it comes to their contracts definitely be careful. They require you to email them to cancel, and will refuse to refund you any money even if you haven't used the membership in over 9 months, and were out of contract for 2. If you call and ask for help cancelling, the staff is less than friendly, and will just pawn all responsibilities and services to use of their member services email, which also takes a significant amount of time to respond. You'd think they would at least have a confirmation auto responder to make you feel like you weren't just disregarded. I would strongly advise you to consider other gyms that actually value you as a customer and will exemplify that every time you talk to them. I refuse to go back to a Gold's Gym no matter how new or nice the facility, simply because of how they treat their customers. You can find proof of this with a simple google search of "golds gym customer service" and the first thing that will pop up is a dissatisfied customer who doesn't feel that Gold's Gym values their customers at all. I hope this review helps anyone considering this gym, and if you do decide to continue with a membership here, make sure you read ALL the fine print to fully understand what responsibilities you are accepting.

If I could give zero stars I probably would. Starting out my experience was just fine. Nice new equipment and a convenient location. But as soon as you want to leave this gym, it is a headache and a half and then some more. First, if you'd like to make any cancellation or talk to someone that knows how to help you, anyone at the front desk or that works there will look at you with a blank stare and tell you to EMAIL "member services". You simply cannot speak to a real person that is knowledgable. Perfect. I moved 200 miles away, and I told the guy at the front desk "hey, I'm moving, what can I do to make sure I'm not paying while there is no gym near me" he said, "theres nothing they can do you're going to have to pay until your contract was over" Okay, so that's annoying. I won't even be using the gym but don't worry, they'll have no problem pulling DOUBLE your usual monthly payment anytime during this period where I am not even there. Finally, after I did email and tell them I wanted out come July when my contract is apparently over... I get another DOUBLE charge and was fed up. I did some research and when I stated in my email that I was moving 200 miles away, they should have stopped all payments coming from me and gave an early cancellation. Well, of course they didn't. I spoke with apparently the one person at the gym that knows anything FINALLY and they said "oh you have to provide proof that you moved" So I wrote a email asking why NO ONE 4 months AGO when I said I was moving and was canceling, did not one single person say, you need to scan some documents and send it my way and we can get that all sorted out for you. (Not to mention the email's I've received back aren't necessarily customer friendly and are very rude) Here's why: this is a shady, money hungry, unethical business that loves to talk fast and sign you up under conditions that 'sound good' but really completely screw you over. I would never recommend this gym to any stranger, family member, or friend, based on the aspect that I respect their time, money, and as a whole person. Don't sign up for this gym. Save yourself the hassle now.

I am obese and decided to check out this gym to help change my lifesyle. The staff has been incredibly friendly, professional, and supportive, and I have never once felt judged because of my weight, which is surprising from a chain like Gold's. They have helped to tailor workouts to allow me to safely improve physically, give an incredible wotkout, and keep me motivated to keep going, often offering advice on nutrition as well to complete a healthy lifestyle. They have also taken the time to personally call with possible time changes to classes that I regularly attend. Since starting here, I have started to lose weight, but more importantly am able to perform physical tasks I couldn't before. The gym is well maintained with some fun amenities. My only possible future concern are the weekend/holiday hours.

Cleanest gym in Vancouver hands down! Convenient location, (the mall is pretty much in the center of everything, so everyone in Vancouver knows where it is) and there’s something for literally everybody here. I love how there are several different rooms in the gym- from the cycle room, cardio cinema, group X studio, group training room, etc. so if you want more of a private workout there’s always somewhere to escape and go do your own thing. Lots of open areas to stretch and warm up too, and the other unique thing about this gym is the awesome smoothie bar. Memberships that are affordable and flexible, good selection of free weights, multiple squat racks, friendly staff, affordable daycare, tanning and towels as well as brand new equipment make it a stand out gym as well. It’s also nice that there are separate saunas for men and women.

Vancouver location has friendly staff, great equipment and a fun environment. The cleaning crew is always at work keeping the place looking great. Overall a clean and well maintained facility. However cancelling your membership is... an arduous process. Also, many of their machines are "revolutionized" versions of some of my favorite classics that make then less enjoyable, and sometimes just outright more dangerous to use. For example: Floating (Tiltable) racks on bench, curved footplate on leg press, and the seated dip machine is all kinds of wack and way harder to use. Bonus Round: it is a really crammed facility. A lot of awkward "let me scoot past you here" moments happen on the regular. Good price per month though.

This gym is disgusting. I called to cancel my account because of the sudden death of my mother. 6 months later I get a huge bill and was sent to collection. I experience harassment by one of the staff at one one point, oh my I could go on. I even wrote letters to reach out and ask for some break on the collection bill. I literally was billed for 7 months and never set foot in the gym. Not a call, not one attempt to let me know that my account was still active.This is a heartless place. If you do cancel you better get paperwork because there is no room for error. They do not care about you.

Due to conflicting hours with kids club my girlfriend decided to cancel her membership which i pay for. Her agreement was for a no contract membership and i understand after about a month or two we get charged a one time annual membership fee. on top of 2 annual fees(mine and my girlfriend's) i was charged an additional fee that was way higher than the monthly membership. Also due to these weird numbers i decided to take a look at the agreement and we were signed up for another service that we never discussed with the club Manager. If you are thinking of getting a membership here, please understand that you will be paying much more than you had originally been told.

I used to think that the lunks you see in the Planet Fitness commercials were an exaggeration until I went to this gym - especially a particular man of color that you can hear grunting and groaning no matter how far away you are (and it's a pretty big gym). I did a trial membership but definitely will not join.

I absolutely love this gym! I've been a member since they first opened. All of the complaints about fees make me laugh because everything is clearly laid out in the contract. My daughter is almost 2, and she loves the daycare. I love everything about this place. The staff are so friendly, the cardio cinema is so fun, the space is clean, the equipment is awesome - with individual screens on each cardio machine, and the classes...I never thought I'd love them, but they are AWESOME. The instructors are so good at what they do! Kai, Kelly, Liz, and Ryan are who I have taken classes with, and they are all incredible. I've been a member at 24 hour and LA Fitness, and this is by far my favorite gym. I go 4-6 times a week! Check out my Yelp review for more details!

Androgymous Strong Studs & Fit Femmes

Beautiful brand new equipment, cardio cinema makes it so easy to complete a hour of cardio, and a friendly staff. The reviews about "hidden fee's" are pretty ridiculous considering all the fee's are clearly stated on your agreement. If you read what you sign, you wont have any issues at all. It also clearly states the cancel process, cancel 30 days in advance. Pretty standard. I enjoy this gym and I have made tremendous steps towards my goals here. Recommend to anyone looking to better themselves.

Members do not wipe down there equipment after they're done sweating all over it . I've seen it first hand numerous times and told the staff and manager was told also. The staff and managers need to put signs up on the different cardio equipment reminding people to wipe down after they're done ! Can you say MRSA begins as a painful skin boil .resistant to antibiotics. Everyone needs to wipe down there equipment when they're done please

Gold's Gym in Vancouver, WA is best gym in the area. Staff is friendly, gym is clean and they have great equipment. The group classes are so fun and you gotta love the cinema area! Watch a movie and workout, how cool is that?!?!?! I would recommend this gym to my family and friends.
