I have been an off and on member of ClubSport since 2006 . The facility and all its amenitities are fabulous. The staff are fabulous, hard working, and very attentive. In general I love ClubSport. However, my family and I just had a horrible experience which has left me and my family traumatized. My mother, sister, and I were HARRASSED by another member in the childrens locker room. My family and I were speaking to a Club Sport staff, in Spanish, when another member- very loudly- says YOU SPEAK ENGLISH HERE. I have never experienced so much RACISM and DISCRIMINATION. This experience has completely left my young sister in shock and fear. I complained to ClubSport staff. I expect that the member is not allowed to come back to ClubSport and as I don't feel safe, welcome, or at ease knowing this individual could harrass me or my family again. I also hope that Clubsport realizes that a simple "sincere apology" will not be enough.

Atrocious management. Be wary. This club cares more about your money than you, and it seems is so desperate for members they won’t let you cancel. But they will keep charging you. At over $259 per month, you’d think this club wouldn’t have to nickel and dime, but they do. I loved club sports, but the new management has ruined a perfectly good thing. Unfortunate.

I lowered my review to two stars here is why. I have been a member here for at least four years maybe as many as six. The good news is that ClubSport has helped me drop 40lbs and go from almost needing blood pressure meds to not. It is a very nice facility. So why the low rating? My spend with ClubSport is likely over $9,000 a year and more likely $12,000 due to using a personal trainer there three times a week. ClubSport has very bad accounting and customer service processes. In addition, once they were called out on this they totally dropped the ball again (pun intended) and did not apologize until I specifically pointed out that they had not, nor did they make even the slightest effort to make it right by providing even the smallest consideration to me. I hasten to add I am totally current with them and have been. I do not know about you but sometimes I lose my credit card or even have it hacked. This time it was hacked while I was in Thailand. The card company was on the ball and cut it off. Clubsports will insist you give them access to your account..ie no credit here at all. Ok fine. But, when the card was cut off they sent me an email to let me know I was behind because the card had been stopped. Number one, that sooo went into my spam folder and second I get 40 emails an hour at times. So, it ended up that I owed ClubSport a whole $350 or so. Instead of calling me, they told my youngest son that I owed them money and then refused to let him in the club. WHAT??? Oh did I mention I am newly divorced and relationships with children are important. So, I decided I needed to bring this to the attention of management. I met with a very nice woman who listened and admitted “that is not our policy.” Yet, never said, “I am sorry” or offered to as much as buy me a cup of coffee. The next thing that happened is that I was called by the head of accounting. Nice person but…she said she was sorry that they had not called me as opposed to emailing me. Good thought but wrong problem. It was clear to me that the accounting person had not been told what the real issue was which was telling my son that I owned them $350.00. It was reasonably clear to me that the first person I talked to had some type of oversight of the front desk who had told my son his dad was essentially a “deadbeat.” The first employee instead of taking any responsibly had tried to make it sound like this was an accounting problem. Now a comment on my other accounting issues with ClubSport. As I mentioned, I have been paying dearly to do personal training. At times paying over $3,000 at a time to buy lower cost blocks. They asked me “do you want to put that on your account?” Are you kidding me..of course I do. Then at the end of the month they will just charge my credit card. So I get an almost 60 day float. BUT, when I said “yes” to this offer which they made, they refused because my credit limit was only $500. Keep in mind they are authorized to charge the card at any time. This is a highly competitive business. Due to all this I started to shop. LA Fitness has a brand new facility one exit down I-5 from ClubSport. I went in and learned I could solve my ClubSport problems by paying, get this…$500 for an entire YEAR. A YEAR. I do not want to say how large a saving that is but it is HUGE. ClubSport is at the top of the charts here. Good on them. They are also by far the “premium cost” club out here as well. In my dealings with them I do not feel like I am a valuable customer at all. I know I know, the most valued customers they have are the ones that pay each month and never show up. After than tier I think people like me are important to their business. At no time in all this did I ever hear from anyone in overall management at Clubsport. That shows me that they are out of touch with their business and not going in the right direction. BYE CLUBSPORT.

we have been the member of clubsport for over than a year . so far we are happy with facility and sevice we get here. Update in june 2019 The price increases about 10% without any notice . we found out there is no activity service desk any more after bay club took over. i have to wait a call back for any help asked. we were enjoying court and for now it is still smelling badly after the renovation. i think we are not to keep this membership after the summer. ,

Friendly staff, with a broad selection of amenities. They lose a star however because the sound proofing around their Yoga rooms leaves much to be desired; with the sound and bass from the high intensity sessions next door often bleeding through.

This is definitely not one of your mass chain gyms, like a 24hr sport or LA fitness. This place has a really good selection of equipment in a wide variety of layouts. There is the traditional cardio section, weight room, stretching zone, high altitude training room, indoor and outdoor pool, a few different fitness studios, a climbing wall and a multi purpose cross fit area. There really is something for everyone. The staff are friendly, I've never had to wait for a cardio machine and there is a good vibe here for working out. The only negative thing I could think of is the locker rooms and hot tub area are a bit dated, but otherwise this place is a solid choice for workouts.

Completely blown away that Club Sport will not allow gymnastics on their turf field in the Edge. This is a venue to train and challenge yourself whether you are taking a new route on the rock wall or pushing for your personal best on the treadmill or stationary bike. Today I am cancelling my membership since they will not allow my son to do gymnastics on their property. Its unfortunate Club Sport management is so narrow minded and has a lack of flexibility and willingness to work with their members.

Me, my wife and baby Cole have been members for almost 4 months. This place is AWESOME and JACK in membership services has gone above and beyond to take care of us. We upgraded to Gold Members because of him and all the Staff in Kids World! Easy decision and a No-Brainer! Jenni and all the staff in KIDS WORLD ROCK! It is like a well-oiled machine over there and I would reccomend CLUB SPORT to everyone! A BIG THUMBS UP!! Thx again from Tozh, Kathy & Cole Erickson!!

Difficult to Cancel Club was fine. While expensive, the staff is friendly and facility exceptional. But I'm giving a one star because of cancellation policy. I'm changing my employer and the location no longer works for me. To cancel there is a 30 day delay in the cancellation and I have to send a written letter or come into the club and sign a form in person. I have trouble understanding the reason for this other than to make it difficult. Be forewarned.

Wow, this place is fancy. I went here for a kids birthday party and the facilities in here are super high end. Where do I start? The rock walls are HUGE and are bigger and more numerous than some rock wall businesses that only do rock Walls. That was the bulk of the kid activities was climbing and the staff was great and helpful and got all the kids turns quickly. The cafeteria and dining areas are also very nice and you can watch the basketball courts or rock walls or a giant projection TV with comfy leather seating. Had no issues here and once again the staff was great. I went away from the party to check out the other areas and saw a wonderful juice bar and protein cafe next to a state of the art workout area. This is in addition to various courts, turfs, spinning classes, pools, and even a kids area for drop off during exercise time. All in all I say this place is super amazing and I'm scared to know what the price tag wound be for membership but I'm sure if you can afford it then it wound totally be worth it. I love that this is close to my house and easy to find as well.

This place is wonderful. Members only and is usually not too crowded. There is plenty of space and equipment. Basketball, rock climbing, classes, pools (outdoor and indoor) and the best is 2 hours of daycare daily for the children to allow you time to work out. Their day care staff is great and the kids love going too.

I signed my kids up for the All-Star Basketball Spring Break Camp through Club Sport in Tualatin. The cost was $200.00 per child for 2 days. However, it seemed worth it because the advertisement claimed that the campers would get to meet, take pictures with, and get autographs from Lillard, McCollum, and other surprise guests. Lillard even posted it to his Instagram account so I bit the bullet, told myself it was legit, and enrolled my 2 older daughters. The guy overseeing the camp, PJ, said there were 85 kids at the camp. With 85 campers paying $200.00 to attend, the camp brought in around $17,000.00 in 2 days. The camp ended up being ran by family members of Lillard. I know this because his adult family members repeatedly told the campers they were related to him. Lillard’s name was plastered on everything from their shirts to shoes. The coaches were young, basic, no real expertise in working with children, sat around on their phones, and didn’t correct campers calling names or getting too rough. Coaches were even playing Dames rap music while dancing around and texting on their phones. All while telling the campers to take basketball seriously. The camp informed us on the second day that Lillard would not be showing up. There was no apology. The attitude was nonchalant like they didn’t just take hundreds of dollars from us. The conversation was the camp director putting her hands on my shoulders, giving me puppy dog eyes, cocking her head and saying “No Lillard. You know baby. CJ will be here at 12:30 though.” Not sure why we were told any time at all because CJ did not show til around 2:00. Evan Turner showed up first. The kids got either an autograph OR a photo with ET; unless you were Dame’s family - then you got both! The campers were rushed through the line, ET barely smiled the entire time, but had time to chop it up with the coaches. When CJ did show up he also did not seem enthused to be there, but rather annoyed. At least the kids got an autograph AND picture with CJ. Next Ed Davis showed up. ED did a Q&A with the kids and then took a group photo. One little boy whose mom drove up from Salem to attend the camp, ran to ED and asked for his ball to get signed. He was told no. Then ED stepped into the hall with Dame’s family members and did autographs and pictures with them only!!! Some family members of Dames that showed up the second day were not part of the camp or campers; they came for the photos and autographs and didn’t even wait til all the campers got their turn first. This camp was nothing more than a way for Damian Lillards’ family members to take money from his fans, use his name to brag to children, and get theirselves autographs and photos that campers paid to experience. Damian Lillard should not be making commitments that coincide with a due date if he does not plan to honor that commitment. Not only does Dame not care - which he proved when he couldn’t even apologize to 85 young campers who were decked out in jerseys sporting his number, but he clearly endorses his family members stealing from his fans through false advertisement. I am no longer a Blazer fan and #ShameOnDame. Someone should tell these athletes that they make their millions because of the people in Portland who spend their money buying their gear, sending their kids to camps, and buying tickets to the games.

Very good gym. You can find a lot of great fitness classes here. Also nice place to take your clients. Good for business. Child care is free for members. If you have no babysitter the club offer Parent Escape for the evening a month. Parents can go out and leave kids to have fun. Expensive club but I wouldn't trade it for anything else.

I have been to several gyms in my life from low end crap out in Cornelius (Anytime Fitness) to decent mid level gym in Hillsboro 24 Hour fitness. Club Sports on the other hand is a super luxury gym. A Bentley among gyms this is the first super luxury corporate gym in Oregon and I am very satisfied with it. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Great facility, great trainers, great staff. Wonderful for a family. Their kids world is fantastic! Family yoga and family movie night indoor and outdoor pools climbing wall fantastic

We used to tell everyone how welcoming and accommodating ClubSport was, but that has all changed. We’ve had a run in with a number of employees being disrespectful to me and my young kids . It’s disappointment because we used to love coming here for years. I wish ClubSport would never have sold to Bay Club. Would not recommend spending your money at this establishment.

Sonhui Lamson

The staff treats differently abled population poorly. The manager yelled at an autistic child repeatedly to get out of the hot tub as if yelling at an autist would speed up the process. Instead of yelling, giving him an extra time to process what is asked of him would have been a lot more efficient. The staff training on how to treat people with respect is desperately needed at this facility.

Warning! Bought out by big box corporate company. Cannot talk to a human once you join for anything. Human standing in front of us told us to log onto the app and submit a ticket?! 24 hour business would be a better choice. Service industry with no service.

So disappointed in the direction that this gym has taken since "The Bay Club" has taken over. When the gym was still owned "Club Sport" once you got over the price it was an amazing place. Whenever you had a question you could call the activities desk. They would help you sign up for swim lessons or give you info. My family loved to spend time at the kid friendly pool. You were allowed to bring your own snacks to for your kids to eat while were were enjoying the nice pool This all changed when the The Bay Club took ownership of the club. They raised the price of the membership 8% off the start. The only improvement that I have seen to justify that price increase was refinishing the basketball courts. I believe they did this to re-brand them not because they were in ill repair. They eliminated the activities desk. Now when you have literally any question you are sent to call center. Once you are done waiting on hold you get a person who also probably doesn't have the answer to your question. It is so frustrating. It took multiple calls and emails to figure out if my account had been charged for a swim lesson... Most recently (and most frustratingly) they just changed the food policy at the pool. You are no longer allowed to bring your own snacks to the pool. All food must be purchased from the poolside grill. In conclusion this was once one of my favorite places to be in the summer. We would catch a workout and then head to the pool with the kids... Now it just is not worth the money in my opinion. They have taken a place that was already hard for a middle class family to justify and made it only for the wealthy. We are done with our membership and could not be happier about that decision. I hope this feedback helps.

This is all based on their Operations Management. The only place around town where you will be illegally parked on. They say just because they are on private property that they can illegally park cars. I'm her to inform people that what they are doing is no legal. Nothing is stated in ORS 811.560 where just because you are on private property you are exempted from following ORS 811.550 place where stopping, standing, and parking are prohibited. In fact they within 50 ft. of a railway, have active crosswalks, and have stop lines to control traffic they must follow this law. They say they can't park customers on the side street, which they can, there are no posted signs that says you can't and the street wide enough. I see the athletes next door park on the street all the time. I also took the liberty of reading both Tigard's and Tualatin's Municipal codes regarding illegal parking on private property and once again just because they are on private property doesn't exempt them from the law. If you find any other information, whether right or wrong, please correct me or add to this. From what I was able to find between local and state municipal codes I didn't see an exemption for illegally parking on private property.

Really unfortunate. My buddy was bringing me in to check out the gym and look to get a couple memberships. I had forgot my phone in the car, he proceeded in and I went back to the car to get my phone. When I came back,2 mins later, I was told I cant get a day pass or trial period unless I walked in physically with that member. He was standing inside shooting hoops, I was not allowed to go grab him and bring him over...I had to call or text him??? His phone is in his bag in his locker...how is he supposed to answer that call? I dont understand why I couldn't walk 20ft, where you could still see me, to get him? This is a horrible experience to convince someone to join your Club Sport. You're only as strong as your weakest link!

This is a very well equipped facility however it has a real overcrowding and overuse issue. In particular the parking is horrible. I went for an event today which is probably an extra drain on the parking but it was still horrible. They have valet service but it ended as the event began. Also the parking winds around the building so you waste a lot of time just looking for spots and carefully inching around other cars that are waiting for a spot in a narrow aisle. I am not a member but have tried the club in years past. The parking issue is not around the clock but it does seem to be persistent. They also seem to have issues with overuse of the pools at times.

Was a member and never will be again until the staff treats kids with respect. Nice facility but horrible staff. Not a fan of this club.

Michelle Fingerut

They have gone completely downhill. I’ve been billed at a different day of the month for over 8 months. Then told to call the billing department in California. So disappointed in their customer service and workout equipment. They need to update their weight area but won’t. I was told they are making a lot of improvements like towels in the locker room. The fact that we have towel service and just now got them in the locker room is embarrassing. It’s like having soap in the bathroom. That isn’t an improvement that is just common sense. Improvement would be better weight machines and stair steppers that don’t break everyday. Their main cable machine has been not working properly for 2 years, I can feel the weight of another person If we are using the machine at the same time. Also they never call you back and never follow through. Bad customer service!!!!! Totally not impressed and will be leaving.

My second time here. Took my son rock climbing. This facility accommodates pretty much everything you can think of including a place to eat called citrus. Very spacious and friendly. I know I need to come here more often to get a better understanding but so far so good.

Today I and my family are no longer members at ClubSport Oregon due to their intolerant treatment of my autistic brother at the pool. With three kids in swimsuits my step mom checked in at the front desk and headed to the pool. (Where they should have notified them the pool was closed for a private event)They got there and the kids were swimming, she noticed a buffet and asked a staff waitress if it was something they do special for Friday nights or one of their summer promotions- instead of being told “oh, sorry this is a private event. I’m going to have to ask you to please exit the pool area.” She was reported as crashing the event and was treated as someone who broke in as opposed to a paying member who just made a mistake. To make matters worse the on call manager, a large man- came up to them as my step mom was trying to get Adam out of the pool. Kids with autism take more time and the more aggressive you are the worse it becomes. The man aggressively continued to insist they leave immediately and even followed them out of the pool area and all the way into the hallway. Remarks were made insinuating they crashed for the free food as though they couldn’t afford a meal & made further agitated remarks towards my brother as he was taking a bit more time to exit. Moreover, His overbearing display created a physical intimidation towards a mother and her child with a disability that was entirely uncalled for. They are paying members who were absolutely compliant. My step mother asked his name and he flipped his name tag so she couldn’t read it and then he threatened to sue her if she took a photo. This is a manager mind you- his name is Jason. I went with my father to cancel today and Jason is not taking any responsibility. He has insisted that he was calm and respectful towards my step mother and brother despite the number of witnesses of those we know who saw otherwise. This is obviously close to home for me because it was my brother- but even so I don’t believe anyone should be treated like this. This was grossly blown out of proportion by their staff and I’m so disgusted in it that I had to post. I love their facilities and classes, but their total lapse of customer service is unacceptable. We will be taking our business elsewhere.

Was a five star facility when it was Club Sport, but BayClub is horrible. They have raised prices without notification, then apologized in an email almost two months later. They put their logo on basketball floors and stunk up the gym for a week. The smell was so bad you couldn’t work out. They “refinished” the showers, hot tub and steam room but it still looks nasty and dated. Prices have gone up on everything at the cafe but changed the protein powders to a cheap, poor quality product that makes smoothies taste like chalk. Will be cancelling my membership soon.
