I really don’t write reviews (first one ever). I Started going to 9Round a couple weeks ago and love it. I was really apprehensive at first. I did a ton of research, read reviews, watched all of the videos on the corporate website etc. It took me like a month to schedule my first free work out and then I had to reschedule that. The morning of my first workout, I almost called out. I used to be in great shape but now not so much. Super stressful job, kids (my wife had them but for some reason I gained weight after they were born lol), bad eating and general lack of motivation all played their part. I had been to a Crossfit Gym about three months before but didn’t become a convert (I know that is shocking to all the crossfitters out there); it just wasn’t for me. To further my concern leading up to my first workout, I had never boxed…ever. So the first workout comes and I went super early so I wouldn’t look like a goofball in front of too many people. I walk in and instantly noticed the upbeat music and a young trainer (Mack) do a great job motivating the group through the exercises. After a brief introduction, and some quick instructions, he had me on my first station. It had been about 25 years since I jumped rope so he gave me a modification to the exercise. Every 3 minutes you go to a different station (i.e. heavy bag, speed bag, double end bag, etc.). Your are so focused on executing the new technique, that you don’t realize the insane amount of exercise you are doing. The trainers do a phenomenal job motivating you and helping you with your technique. I SWEAR TO GOD it was absolutely awesome. I loved every exhausting, sweat drenched minute of it. I left there feeling soooooo amazing. Every time since I love it more and more. Sign up! Do it! Stop procrastinating! YOU CAN DO IT!
P.S. To the goofball, that left the 2 star review, that is apparently still trying to sell newspapers in 2017, you should be ashamed of yourself. It would be foolish for a business this size to invest in that platform of advertising.
